BUILD YOUR CAPACITY TO BELIEVE – DEVOTION WEEK 8

“Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them” (Mark 11:23).This is an encouragement for us to build our capacity to believe. How can we build it? It is not all up to God; certainly, it is not all up to us; it takes

Build Your Capacity To Believe

both God’s ability and our genuine willingness to build our capacity to believe. God’s role is: His Word available for us; His grace to cover us. Man’s role is: to obey what he hears. If man obeys what he hears, he has the capacity or ability to believe. What is possible for you may not be possible for me. What is possible for me is based on my capacity to believe. God cannot work through you except through your capacity to believe. Your capacity to believe can increase or decrease depending on the rate you feed your soul with God’s Word. In Romans 10:10, we learn that what is restricting us is not on the outside but on the inside. Our heart is the communication point or contact between belief and unbelief, God’s Spirit and evil spirit. Our belief needs to be reset. Resetting your belief can only be done according to Joshua 1:8, ‘Keep the Word in your mouth – WORDS. Meditate on the Word day and night – THOUGHTS. Do what the Word says – ACTIONS.’ If you want to move mountains with your belief, this is the process. Come on, move mountains today with your belief as you build your capacity by following the Kingdom Way (Joshua 1:8).

Prayer Point: Lord Jesus Christ, increase my capacity to believe! My capacity to believe that You are the Healer, Deliverer, Provider, Saviour, Redeemer, in Jesus’ name!

MAN’S JUDGEMENT – WEEK 7 DEVOTION

Man’s judgement is a judgement that is based only on what is seen, heard and on what the circumstances look like. This kind of judgement is limited and cannot understand God. When you base your judgement only on what is seen, heard and on what the circumstances look like, you have not looked deep enough to the heart. As a child of God, look deep enough to the heart by focusing on what God says about the situation at hand.

Instead of listening to what Jesus’ message was all about, the people from His hometown were calling Him a carpenter’s son. Jesus struggled His way out of a pit of questions. Those questions were; How did this man get such learning without having studied? ‘Are you not the son of Joseph?’ That is, ‘Are you not the same boy that we grew up together with?’

People of God! you can grow up with a boy who was a hooligan and you have been living upright; you may later see the boy become a man of honour and authority, by the grace of God. This is the mystery of grace: God takes unlikely people puts them into His palace for eternity. That is, Christ shows them that dominion was generally abused in this world. Can you see that broken things become useful in God’s hands?

You who complain of your miserable background, cheer up for there is hope for you. Jesus Christ, the son of the living God is our eternal Hope. In the midst of your misery, look unto Jesus, for your misery is the object of His mercy. By His grace and mercy you will cry no more, you will be oppressed no more, you will be disappointed no more, you will be sick no more and you will be poor no more. What amazing blessings these really are!…..Prophet TB Joshua.

PROFESSING AFFINITY TO CHRIST – WEEK 6 DEVOTION

A Christian is one whose life comes from Christ. Many today, accept the name of Jesus Christ but not the life of Jesus Christ. When I say, ‘The life of Jesus Christ’, I mean God’s kind of lifestyle which is a lifestyle based on positive faith: that is, positive thinking, positive talking and positive acting. However, we profess affinity to Christ according to the flesh, while we are unchanged in the heart and life. Many become Christians, born-again with self-effort. Self-effort is a wrong attitude toward sin and it leaves us with urge; urge to do the wrong things. It is pertinent to note that without the Holy Spirit destroying the root of sin in us, we are bound to be tormented by our desire to return to our bad habits. Psalms 66:18 says, “If I regard sin – iniquity, in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.” We are made in our heart to be like Jesus. True Christianity lies in the heart – in the purity of the heart. On the last day, we will be judged not by the colour of our skin but by the content of our character. James 1:22 reads, “But be doers of the Word and not hearers only, deceiving yourself.’’ Many people say, ‘I’m born again, I gave my life to Christ 25 years ago…’ This means you are a divine image bearer of God; you mirror Jesus. The challenge many Christians, believers, pastors and the rest are facing, is the problem of urge behind closed doors – urge to do many bad habits. Many Christians, Bible students, church people are studying the Word but have failed to act on or do the Word. The mind is renewed by studying the Word and acting upon it. One may study the Word for years; if he or she is not a doer, the mind cannot be renewed. Meditation in the Word is a visit to Him. When you meditate on God’s Word, you bring God’s power onto the scene.

EXPERIENCE GOD – WEEK 5 DEVETION

Jesus Christ is reachable; you are not far from God.
No state of being is as rewarding as living in tune with God! Everyone has a desire to experience God because He has set eternity in the hearts of men. Apostle Paul says in Philippians 3:7-11:
“But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith. I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.”
When you have a relationship with Jesus Christ you change and become a man/ woman who is directed by your heavenly Father and not by the influence from men or circumstances. If you want to experience God and be all God has called you to be, you have got to spend your time with Him and learn from Him at His feet.

SEEKING HEAVEN ON EARTH – WEEK 4 DEVOTION

Everyone is exposed to trouble because trouble does not require any invitation before it comes. But as a Christian, your trouble is not like others; it is for the glory of God. Trouble comes not because we have taken any wrong step but because we are in a complex and contradictory world. This world is not our home, we are just passing through. That you choose to serve the Lord in truth and faith does not mean that you will not encounter troubles or trials but the Lord promises to see

SEEKING HEAVEN ON EARTH

you through. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, God’s children are passing through this troubled world to a place prepared for them – a place without sorrow; this is not Heaven. I mean that we are here for a short season, there will be thorns in our flesh, there will be things poking us, there will be things disappointing us. If you are seeking to have Heaven here on earth, then you are thinking and working against what the Bible says in John 16:33, that in this world, you will have trouble. Take heart – as Christians, we have a building from God. We have a firm and well grounded expectation of future felicity.

LET GOD’S WILL BE DONE – WEEK 3 DEVOTION

It is the will of God to answer prayer and God accepts the prayer of faith but does not always answer it to the letter. So, as you are praying for a solution to your problem, remember that asking God for a specific thing will amount to limiting God to a specific answer. Do not let your situation dictate the direction of your prayer. Pray as Jesus prayed in Luke 22:41-43, ‘Father, not My will but Your will be done’.“Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and his disciples followed him. On reaching the place, he said to them, ‘Pray that you will not fall into temptation.’ He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed, ‘Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.’ An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him” (Luke 22:39-43).

Jesus Christ purchased our deliverance, healing and blessing at the price of great suffering. Look to the Cross by faith – faith in the finished works of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. In mercy, He call us and healed us. In mercy, He called us and delivered us. In mercy, He called us and blessed us. And most important of all, in mercy, He called us and saved us. In mercy, you are not excluded. Don’t limit God but let His will be done in your life. He knows the best and will always work out the best.

YOUR FOCUS – WEEK 1 DEVOTION

We are celebrating today because focus was not broken. In other words, we are here because Jesus kept His eyes on His goal. He kept His purpose in the forefront of His mind. Even as a young child, Jesus knew who He was and what He was all about.
Luke 2:49, “ ‘Why were you searching for me?’ He asked. ‘Didn’t you know I had to be in My Father’s house?’ ”
His God-given purpose was what He was born for, lived for and died for. That is why Jesus was able to say as He hung on the Cross, ‘It is finished’.
Are you focusing on your goal? If you decide on your direction, God will give you the energy for the distance but you have to be focused on your goal. Your focus is your personal decision.
Why do many people start off so well but soon derail? Broken focus is the main reason men fail. Make sure to include God in decision making if you don’t want to end up in failure by following the instruction given to Joshua, “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful” (Joshua 1:8).

BY CHRIST’S ORDER – DEVOTION

When we are tired and sick of our worldly business and frustrated in our worldly affairs, we are welcome to Christ. Jesus Christ is a democrat; He does not impose Himself or His will on anyone. He allows us to exhaust whatever worldly advantages we feel we have so that when we have learnt our lessons, we would value Him. The case of Peter is a good example. That he had laboured and toiled without anything to show for his many years of self-determination, self-confidence, human diligence and professional experience was evident in the way he sat frustrated at the seaside after the fruitless night of fishing. From Peter’s complaints, we could feel the level of bitterness and pain in his heart, even as he confesses his helpless and hopeless state, saying, “Master, we have toiled all the night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net” (Luke 5:5).

BY CHRIST’S ORDER

Here, Peter had demonstrated that, in spite of all the odds, there was still need to maintain self-control and submit to the One whose will was superior. He simply said, ‘…if You say so, I will let down the net’. In other words, he was saying to Jesus, “Who am I that I should disobey Your instruction? I know that if I assume the character of a fisherman under any authority that does not proceed from You, I am bound to catch nothing. But if I labour by Your order and under Your direction, I am sure I cannot labour in vain. So, I will let down the net”. It was not by mere chance that Jesus chose Peter’s boat at the seaside; it was by providential arrangement. When God is executing His plans in our lives, He also designs and arranges events which continue to unfold until His purpose is revealed. Remember, our only duty is to obey God’s commands; His duty is to keep His promises, and these two duties never conflict. Obeying God at first seems hard, until we come to see that all He asks is for our good and makes life full and free. The way of obedience is the way of blessing.

I AM WIRED TB JOSHUA WEEKLY DEVOTION

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39).
Apostle Paul was able to make this bold declaration of faith because he was wired to God, the Creator of Heaven and earth in a unique way. When you are wired to God in a unique way, nothing can separate you from the love of God. Today, our trials can separate us from Jesus because we are not wired to Him. Today’s language is only heard with the ears but the language God uses in the Bible must be heard with our hearts. When you become wired to God, the Holy Spirit affects your words and you begin to speak the language God used in the Bible to create and save us, to heal and bless us, to judge and rule over us.
When you hear God’s Word in your heart, you begin to get God’s ideas, work with His projects, know His opinion about yourself and others and see life the way God sees it. Then, you will dream differently, think differently, have a sensitivity you never had before and enjoy the privilege of letting the Creator of Heaven and earth assist you in whatever you do. Accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour and get ready to be wired to God in a unique way. If you are wired to God in a unique way, there is no one and there shall never be anyone quite like you.

“Chris Okotie” You Have 7 Days To Withdraw Your Hell Statement Against TB Joshua

Majority of today’s Pentecostal Church Pastors in Nigeria are Pastors of fortune seekers, morally bankrupt people, adulterers, mischievous, deceitful people as a result of which the Churches are personal estates and properties of the founder, general overseer and his immediate family. For example, Pastor Chris Okotie has been deserted by his wife who has alleged wide spread adultery with members of the congregation by Pastor Okotie. The wife is now filing for divorce. Similarly, Pastor Oritsajefor has divorced his first wife and now married to the wife of a member of the congregation. Such is the unholy practice of these Pastors. This situation has made it impossible for most of the new generation Nigerian Pentecostal Churches to receive true anointing. A few among them, such as; Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Living Faith (a.k.a Winners Chapel), Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries, Deeper Life Ministries, Love world Assemblies (a.k.a Christ embassy) and few others can be said to meet the standard expected in the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Pastor T. B. Joshua has been found to be very upright and righteous and has received the true anointing of the Holy Spirit. The arrival of the true Holy Spirit anointed Pastor into the Nigerian Christian Ministries has been kicking Satan left and right, and the kingdom of Satan has been badly damaged.

The people fighting and accusing Pastor T. B. Joshua are in this category. They are the false and fortune seeker Pastors. Such as Chris Okotie and some of his fellow Pentecostal fellowship of Nigeria members. They are not actually fighting Pastor T. B. Joshua, they are fighting the happenings of holy spiritual hearings at the Synagogue. They are fighting the miracles of God happening at the Synagogue. The hearings and miracles taken place at the Synagogue can only be by the anointing of the Holy Spirit of God. This has challenged the kingdom of Satan in Nigeria and has threatened their survival and existence. The fellow Pastors threatened are the one fighting to protect their interest and survival. Unfortunately, it is too late for them.

AN EVANGELISTS BATTLE WITH LUST & PORNOGRAPHY FINALLY ENDED

TB Joshua Church Nigeria | tbjfansuk.wordpress.com

AN EVANGELISTS BATTLE WITH LUST & PORNOGRAPHY FINALLY ENDED
Evangelist Ellah Young had been engaged in a battle behind closed doors for more than 12 years. Aged 10, the innocent boy was introduced into sexual acts by some older cousins, opening the door for the spirit of lust to ensnare and entrap him. From that age forward, lustful thoughts whirled within his heart and as he grew older, so also the lust grew stronger. With both of his parents being pastors, he kept this lifestyle hidden, feigning a good Christian life on the outside and even going into evangelism at a young age. Apart from engaging in fornication, the spirit also pushed him to watch pornography on the internet. He explained that once the lustful urge came, he was powerless and had to attempt to satisfy such urge through various ungodly means.

As the problem continued to increase in his life, his mother noticed his familiarity with females and started fighting it in his life by answering his mobile phone and warning the girls calling him to stay away. However, at night and behind closed doors, the urge reigned, rendering him sluggish in prayer and Bible reading and under a constant weight of guilt and condemnation. Education-wise, the spirit of lust resulted in complete loss of concentration, leading his parents to enroll him in more than 12 schools, all in an attempt to provide him quality education. Evangelist Ellah Young came to The SCOAN, realising that there was actually an evil spirit behind his lustful addictions, not just a bad characteristic as he had always assumed. Based on this revelation, he opened the door of his heart for deliverance and came to The SCOAN. Last week, Wise Man Daniel prayed for him in the power of the Holy Spirit and the evil spirit was both exposed and expelled! A week later, Evangelist Young testified that his heart is finally free from ungodly thoughts and lustful desires. He explained that although temptation still comes, he has the strength to resist the urge and can now concentrate on the Word of God. He advised people with similar struggles in their spiritual journey that they need to realise the source of their problems lies in demonic forces and deliverance in the power of the Holy Spirit is the way out.

VIDEO – Another Nollywood Star Jim Iyke Captured At SCOAN Live!

TB Joshua Church Nigeria | tbjfansuk.wordpress.com

Making a surprise appearance in The SCOAN, Nollywood superstar Jim Iyke entered quietly and unannounced, joining worshippers from around the world as they listened to the inspiring message from renowned Prophet T.B. Joshua.

Honda Things: T.B. Joshua Pursues Evil Spirit Out Of Jim Iyke [PHOTOS]

As The SCOAN’s Wise Men moved through the congregation in prayer, the lightning of God located Iyke and he was no longer able to control himself. Lunging towards one of the Wise Man as if to attack him, an evil spirit that had been tormenting the life of Jim Iyke manifested! The congregation in the auditorium and the overflow congregations shouted in surprise as they began to witness the deliverance of a man they were all too familiar with.

Jim Iyke, born James Ikechukwu Esomugha, is currently one of the highest paid actors in the Nigerian movie industry and cultivated the name “Nollywood bad boy” for himself. As one of the most successful actors in Nollywood, he has starred in over 150 films to date. He has launched his own film production unit, “Untamed Productions” and his own music label, “Untamed Records” with his very own album, “Who Am I?” He is also founder of “Jim Iyke Foundation”, contributing funds to children of the less privileged and children with physical challenges.

Among his movie awards are: The Teenage Choice Award, Best Actor In Nigerian Entertainment Award, African Achievement Award, Best Actor of the Year (Mode Men Award 2010), Sexiest Man In Nigeria 2008, Best African Actor (NET Awards).

The evil spirit that had tormented the life of Jim Iyke for so many years began to manifest, confessing that it was the cause of Iyke’s setback and disappointment. It confessed that it was the reason he could never marry, stating that it would not allow him to love anyone. It continued confessing that Iyke was the biggest and that it was only God’s grace that had kept him. As the evil spirit inside him struggled to attack the Wise Man, the supremacy of the Holy Spirit continued to overpower it.

The deliverance continued but the battle was not against flesh and blood; it was against the spiritual entities that had been causing crisis in his life, family, health, career and future.

To the jubilation of the congregation, the name of Jesus Christ prevailed over the evil spirit and Jim Iyke received his freedom. Overwhelmed with what had just happened, Iyke immediately knelt in God’s presence, appreciating His Creator for his miraculous deliverance.

The humility demonstrated by Jim Iyke in submitting himself to the power of God should prompt others in his industry to make the same life-saving choice.

My family background irritated me – TB Joshua

TB Joshua Church Nigeria | tbjfansuk.wordpress.com

I found myself in a family background that irritated me.

In those early years of my life, I knew I would be blamed for what I gave my attention to – so I took a different direction in order to achieve a different solution.

Before this time, I was a member of the Anglican Church and participated actively in many church activities. On three different occasions, I was appointed the chairman of Children’s Harvest/ Thanksgiving ceremony. During my elementary education at St. Stephen Anglican Primary School, Agbalaku, Arigidi, I was leader of the student Christian fellowship.

I taught my colleagues the Scriptures without formal Bible training. In my dreams, I was always taught the Scriptures; that gave me an edge over other student colleagues, even my teacher. I was the smallest in the class but led the prayer during the school devotions. My teacher, Mrs Margaret Tolani Adejumo, and my colleagues usually called me ‘small pastor’.

I recognised early enough that victory obtained through Christ was a time past victory. I mean, it is victory assured. Rather than despair and blame my situation on family background, I began to be proud of my situation in order to feel Christ’s victory over me.

I became content with my situation, knowing that my situation is redeemable through Christ and that the redemption was a time-past one. I mean, redemption assured. Then I began to take God at His Word in order to have His way.

Nobody is too good or too bad to qualify for His grace. Remember, it was possible for me to sit somewhere and begin to make excuses for my situation. I never did. Whatever I am today is a product of that conviction that victory through Christ is victory indeed. The rest is history.

Today, many people blame their situation on family background. Some would say, “I am poor because everyone in my family is poor.” If you make excuses for being poor, your poverty cannot be excused. Remember, you are responsible for what you give your attention to; so it is unnecessary to blame your situation on anyone. Today, it is common for people to blame their failure on their family background, whereas they attribute their success to their personal effort. If you attribute your success to your personal effort, you should also accept the blame for your failure. When we make excuses for our wrongdoing, such misdeeds would not be excused.

God has a time for everything: A time to grow, a time to face realities of life, a time to overcome and a time to show the proceeds of victory.Ecclesiastes 3:1

I want to let you know that this record is not in anyway intended to show off – I mean, it is not a way of saying, “I have arrived”, but my own way of glorifying God for what He is doing in our lives. It is my own way of giving testimony to the goodness of God in my life. First, to show my total dependence on God and second, to encourage the weak that there is hope; Jesus is the hope.

Life is a warfare, and in a war there are many battles to be won. Each time God leads us through a battle, it is in our own interest to testify to His goodness, as a way of thanksgiving for not allowing our adversaries to triumph over us. If God had not overcome for us, there would be no need to show this record, just as there would be no need for this story.

Breaking News – The Saboteurs That infiltrated TB Joshua’s Church in Ghana Exposed

TB Joshua Church Nigeria |

With the way some online news sites, blogs,  as well as, some anti- Scoan groups are now using the internet as a tool of propaganda in an attempt to ridicule the ministry of TB Joshua after the incident on the 19th May, 2013 beggars belief. I witnessed the whole incident myself

It was when thousands of people started trooping into the SCOAN HQ from all walks of life for the anointing water that the incident happened. Many had to borrow money, many were too weak to travel yet they did, many were robbed on their way. You’ll agree with me many Pastors bless oil, handkerchiefs and candle and all sorts of things for people, so what is wrong with TB Joshua blessing anointing water for his Church members

The anointing water sent by TB Joshua to the branch in Ghana was for his Church members and was NOT to be distributed to the public as stated by the Ghanaian media. Many stated that the stampede happened during the distribution of the Anointing Water, but truth is it was NEVER distributed.

Throughout the Scriptures, we see clear proof that God can use any medium to express Himself:

  • In Acts 19:11-12, God used the medium of Paul’s handkerchief and aprons to heal the sick.
  • In Exodus 14:16, God used the medium of Moses’ staff to split the Red Sea.
  • In Acts 3:6, God used the voice of His servants, Peter and John to raise a crippled man.
  • In 2 Kings 5:14, God used the medium of a dirty river to heal Namaan.
  • In Acts 2:1-2, God expressed Himself through the medium of sound at the time of Pentecost
  • In 1 Samuel 17:49, God used David’s catapult to defeat the giant Goliath.
  • In John 9:6-7, Jesus used mud and saliva to heal a blind man.
  • In Acts 4:15-16, God used the medium of Peter’s shadow to heal the sick.

TB Joshua did not announce that he was holding any program in Ghana or advertised anywhere as stated by many media reports.  One of such online newssite wrote ” A scheduled Sunday church service at the Spintex branch of the Synagogue Church of all Nations has been cancelled due to a stampede which left three men and one woman dead at the church premises on SundayIt was suppose  to be a normal Sunday Service at the SCOAN as usual.

THE CAUSE OF THE SPAMPEDE

Those who could not get into the church premises over thousand yards away pushed a number of barricades and over 500 police personnel on duty away, resulting in the stampede which claimed the lives of the four people;  three men and a female. It was NOT on the SCOAN premises that the incident occurred, though we sympathise with the family of the decease.

A reporter wrote: “According to Mr Yohuno, at about 6:30 a.m., the crowd overwhelmed the police personnel on duty and started pushing the barricades away and by the time a police and military reinforcement reached the church premises, there had been a stampede, resulting in the deaths” THE POLICE WERE ALREADY THERE! The correct information was the crowed started building up at about 9:30pm the Saturday before, when 2 Wise men was seen arriving at Kotoka International Airport at about 9pm among 4 others.  Rumours spread so fast that about 1am when l went to the Church premises, behold the crowed l saw, 2 stadiums can’t contain them and yes more kept coming. I was opportune to have a chat with a man am convinced was sent there to cause trouble. He’s a middle aged man whom l discovered was NOT a member of the SCOAN Ghana branch. The ushers tried all they could to speak with the crowd calmly and to get them seated under the canopies provided since it had started to rain. This middle aged man with glasses and 3 others were instigating all persons around them NOT to listen to the ushers talking about NPP/NDC and how this would be a breaking news on Joy FM and also talking about Owusu Bempah. This made me wonder what kind of person could they be, a saboteurs perhaps?

False Media Report

“He said the incident happened around 8:30 am shortly after the announcement that the holy water was going to be distributed for free” NO SUCH ANNOUNCEMENT WAS MADE.

Deceptive Heading.
