The man of God in the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, Lagos Nigeria needs no much introduction. He is a leading teacher of people, a prophet that is changing our perception the right way on prayers and evangelism. Every week thousands of people across the globe come to hear him and to be healed or to be delivered. They go back to their different countries and communities telling how good Nigeria is and how desirable it is to visit the Prophet in the SCOAN.
In the world today, over 50% of the world population has not been reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in some places in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. They are pursuing different kinds of religions. China, India, and all Arabs are amongst the major countries where few or none have heard about Christ.
The recent effort of SCOAN and Emmanuel TV to hold crusades in many countries has the potential of reaching the non-evangelised world populations. The problem getting to these groups is made more complex by their respective domestic governments, many of whom placed an embargo on the Word (Bible) circulation. This is where SCOAN’s evangelical approach is very crucial and significant.
Prophet TB Joshua’s continuous teaching on “I believe help my unbelief” is also appropriate at this time. Many are wondering why their ministries are not as effective in so many aspects like healing, miracles, or the others like seen always in SCOAN.
His teaching has helped a number of us on how to pray, and what to pray for. We recall that in seeking the Lord’s help, a man came to Jesus once, fell to his knees weeping, and said, “I believe; help my unbelief” (Mark 9:24). The man’s request, startling in its paradoxical phrasing, is quite thought-provoking. How can a man say he believes and at the same time asks for help in overcoming unbelief? Jesus had just returned from the mount of transfiguration when He came upon a large crowd surrounding His disciples. An argument was taking place, and people were stirred up. Jesus asked what was going on, and a man from the crowd explained that the disciples had been trying to cast a demon out of his son but had failed in their attempt.
Many individuals and congregations have been trying on their own but have no success story big as we have in SCOAN. Remember too that our prayer is that Prophet TB Joshua will still have more anointing to do more exploit for Jesus, despite the mighty work we are already witnessing. Yes, we pray for more anointing on him and every member of his team. Nevertheless, Emmanuel TV and partners must daily work for improvement, especially to circumvent systemic government efforts from blocking the Gospel of Jesus Christ getting to every corner of the globe.

Another Nigerian lady has sensationally claimed “seing Jesus Christ” during a service at Prophet T.B. Joshua’s the Synagogue church in Ikotun-Egbe, Lagos, Nigeria. The woman says Jesus is the most handsome Man she has ever seen.
In a clip published by Emmanuel TV’s YouTube channel, Chelsea Oghene Tega from Delta State is seen amidst congregants collecting ‘living water’ when she suddenly points her finger towards the ‘church altar’ and starts wildly gesticulating and shouting.
“I saw a man in a white robe with smoke. There was smoke everywhere from His feet,” she vividly described when pressed with questions. “The glory was too much; I could not even look.”
Testifying in a subsequent service, Tega explains with greater clarity about the ‘open vision’ she saw.
She admitted she was skeptical of Christianity and specifically critical of TB Joshua’s ministry and television network Emmanuel TV.
“I was fed up with churches. I felt all they would do is ask you to bring offerings and tithes – so I got upset with them,” Chelsea explained, adding she watched Emmanuel TV intermittently but never ‘believed’ in the miracles she saw.
According to Tega, she was heading to a market in Lagos when she saw the huge crowd of people amassing outside The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) for the Friday ‘Living Water Service’.
“My cousin had really pressed me that I must come to The SCOAN – since I was in Lagos – to get ‘the water’ for my elder brother who was sick,” she explained.
Her interest sufficiently piqued by the crowd – coupled with the request of her cousin – Chelsea resolved to join the mammoth queue to enter the service.
“I just wanted to enter and see this Synagogue I had been watching on TV,” she surmised, adding she still harboured doubts at that moment.
Eventually entering the service, the young lady described her subsequent encounter as “beyond human comprehension”.
“As soon as I got the water, I felt a force hold my leg. I couldn’t move. It then became cloudy as if it wanted to rain. I saw some angelic beings coming like diamonds – glittering, sparkling. I then saw a Man coming out with smoke. He was just rising, growing big. Then, the people I first saw come out were all bowing down, worshiping Him,” she graphically recounted.
According to Chelsea, the ‘Man’ said, “Do you now believe? I am the Living Water; anyone who comes to Me will never thirst again.”
She described His appearance as “the most handsome Man I ever saw”, adding He was adorned with a crown and “glittering regalia”. “It was too bright. I wasn’t seeing them on the ground,” she added.
Concluding, Chelsea admitted her perception of The SCOAN had radically shifted in the light of her ‘encounter’.
“God is here! God is in this place because what I saw was not just angels; Jesus came Himself. He was here. He showed Himself to me so I would trust and believe in Him,” she asserted.
“Everything I had been watching on Emmanuel TV – it’s true, it’s real. I doubted but God had to reveal Himself to me,” she concluded.
The greatest trick the devil is pulling lately is to convince the world that Jesus Christ in the person of the Holy Ghost does not exist that is, He is not alive. The devil doesn’t want us to know that there is an incredible power of God in action and the awesome benefits of God which people are experiencing in the Synagogue Church of All Nation’s Mountain of prayer. Another thing very high on the list of things the devil doesn’t want you to know is that; he will try to make you doubt such things which are Biblically authentic.
But today, Prophet TB Joshua through the power of God has continually proven beyond any reasonable doubt that Jesus is alive, and He is the Son of the Living God. The good thing about this is that God himself has decided to open the eyes of the few visitors during the mountain of prayer service, for them to see the Heavenly Being operating in the mountain of prayer.
Satan and his demons have been trying, by all means, to deceive people in believing that Prophet TB Joshua is an evil man and as such they lack the capacity to ponder the truth of God’s word, which says that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever and for those who trust in Christ, the strategy of the enemy is to confuse, frustrate, discourage and even steal the truth of God that has been already deposited in their lives, and ultimately attempt to mar the image of the SCOAN as well as that of Prophet TB Joshua. In this regard, the enemy construct a spiritual stronghold in the hearts of both believers and unbelievers
Often time, it starts with bad experience, offence or an evil attack or hurt by the enemy himself which lead to their heart becoming a fertile ground for the planting of seeds of lies and on this foundation, the enemy begins to build slowly but surely, a wall of deception, lies, wrong ideas about SCOAN and Prophet TB Joshua. The enemy goes on and feeds them with erroneous and distorted information about the Church activities like deliverance and healing. Unfortunately, immature Christians usually buy into these lies and agree with the enemy, thereby gaining control of their hearts in such a way that they end up defending lies and not the kingdom of God. Their perception is distorted in a way that they are unable to differentiate between lies and truth.
2 Corinthians 4:4 says, “The god of this age [a reference to Satan and his demons] has blinded the minds of unbelievers so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” Satan strategy in the lives of those who haven’t trusted in Christ, is to make sure that they remain in the dark so that they can say what is happening in the mountain of prayer is fake and as such, they will never go there and experience the presence of God.
Be that as it may, it is a fact, which, unfortunately, cannot be denied; that some of God’s people are his worst enemies. By their coarse and wretched lives, they drive away many from the truth even before they have the opportunity to see the miracles of God. But thanks to Emanuel TV, YouTube and other platforms; unbelievers are starting to see the truth. That is why on 27th September 2019 history has been made when we saw more than hundred thousand of Nigerians from different churches in Nigeria as well as other Christians from around the world flocking to SCOAN for a free mountain of prayer service. As usual, this has disturbed TB Joshua’s critics and persecutors. We feel sorry for them, May God forgive them
Interestingly, there are some people today who are still refusing to go for healing and deliverance at the SCOAN, simply because their thoughts have been distorted. They call themselves Christians but on the other hand, they suffer from spiritual poverty and as such deny themselves God’s blessings which are freely available in SCOAN’ mountain of prayer.
They behave like a man who was trapped in the fire but refusing any assistance sent to him, saying that he is waiting for God to come and rescue Him until the whole house is engulfed by fire. He burnt to death and when he reached heaven, he asked God, “Lord, why did you not save me? I believed you with all my heart. God responded, “I sent you all the necessary help and you refused them all. What else could I possibly have done for you?” Like it or not, Prophet TB Joshua is a true servant of God sent to us and to deny the power of the Holy Spirit operating in the mountain of prayer is to deny Christ. What I am trying to say is that; God has outwardly done His part by blessing us with the prophet of our days but yet we refused to partake from the promises of God, which God has laid before us in the presence of our enemies. The question is; why do people decide to settle for darkness, destruction while the healing, deliverance and blessing of God are on the table for free?
Brothers and sisters, I want you to know that Almighty God has blessed Prophet TB Joshua with an elevated platform so that he can be a help for those unspoken for and the oppressed. He has been divinely empowered for the advancements of the kingdom of God because our God is a God of nations and will often raise individuals to intercede on behalf of the greater masses, who are in bondage. Prophet TB Joshua has been blessed so that He can become a blessing to others. He has been granted a platform with a greater blessing so that he can be in a position to speak for those whose voices cannot be heard, the oppressed, and the captives and no one can change that
In (Genesis 12:3) it is written that “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse, and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” Those who believe in the God of Prophet TB Joshua will be the ultimate beneficiary of God’s blessings. In other words, it’s not about Prophet TB Joshua and his family, but it is about the neighbours that Jesus said we must love, the needy, orphans, the poor and everyone else. That is why Prophet TB Joshua does not take credit on the works of God; he is not even present in the mountain of prayer. He is also going to the mountain of prayer for his blessings. Do yourself a favour and honour the invitation of God, don’t reject God’s grace. Those who reject the grace of God have been warned In Numbers 14:11, when the Lord asks Moses, “How long will these people spurn Me? And how long will they not believe in Me, despite all the signs which I have performed in their midst?”
The chapter shows that people who repeatedly reject God’s grace may cross the line of no return. God is gracious and patient, but at some point, His judgment will fall on those who persist in unbelief. A person may repeatedly turn his heart away from the good news of Jesus Christ until he reaches a point where he is hardened beyond remedy. Proverbs 29:1 warns, “A man who hardens his neck after much reproof Will suddenly be broken beyond remedy. “Healing, deliverance and blessing are available in SCOAN, and only those who don’t harden their hearts will benefit
God’s promise of salvation for everyone is for Him to be glorified among the nations. The problem with the people of the world, like the Israelites, is that that they do not believe in the Lord and His promise to give them the land of Canaan (Num. 13:2; 14:11). They do not see that, God ‘want to deliver them from the bondage of satan for the salvation of their souls.
Let me remind you that there are temporal and eternal consequences for those who reject God’s salvation. In Heb. 3:12: it is written that “Take care, brethren, that there not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God.” Apostle Paul telling us that like everyone else you may be going through some difficult trials and tribulations, but this should not be your reason for not believing in God’s miracle, because this would indicate that you have an evil, unbelieving heart and to turn from Christ back to the world would be to fall away from the living God! If you do that, you will not enjoy the many blessings of knowing Christ in this life.
But today, some people called themselves Christian and yet don’t believe in the miracles He performs. Outwardly, they profess to be obeying God but inwardly rejecting him, contradicting indeed. They stand in their high places and criticise Prophet TB Joshua and yet the Prophet is not the one touching people in the mountain of prayer. They allow themselves to be misled and attempt to save themselves by trusting in themselves and their leaders and this is the main reason they will miss God’s offer of free grace through Jesus Christ.
The Bible is clear that God will bless those who trust His promises and follow Him fully. Jesus is talking to the world, he is using Prophet TB Joshua to show us that He is a living God, a miracle-working God and those who believe in Him will be saved. According to Apostle John, Thomas was not present on Easter Sunday evening when Jesus appeared to the other disciples and devoted followers (John 20:24). And regardless of what they said, Thomas refused to believe that Jesus had risen till he saw Jesus with his own eyes (John 20:25) — a declaration that earned him for posterity the unflattering title “Doubting Thomas.” Thomas’s doubts may have been humanly understandable, but they were not commendable. They were sinful, as is all unbelief (Romans 14:23). Finally, a full week after Easter, Jesus appeared when Thomas was present and said, “Put your finger here and see my hands, and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.” (John 20:27). Thomas’s repented and said, “My Lord and my God!” (John 20:28). Then in John 20:29) Jesus said: “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed” (John 20:29).
Children of God, here Jesus’ is telling us that others had not yet seen Him, but still believed in his resurrection and as such their believing was more blessed. This means that those who rely on their eyes of faith more than the physical eyes will receive the promised blessing of God. Glorious, inexpressible joy comes not by seeing Jesus now, but by believing in him now. You don’t have to see Jesus in person in the mountain of prayer for you to believe, just believe in his presence in the mountain of prayer and you will experience his touch. Even if you are watching on Emmanuel tv, connect with faith and He will touch you
Like the woman who testified on Sunday, 29th Sept 2019, she has confessed that she never believes in what is happening at SCOAN. According to her, everything is arranged and as such fake. But because we serve a God of grace, the Holy Spirit arrested her and led her to the mountain of prayer where she experiences the unexplainable, indescribable encounter with Jesus himself. He always did for the others, Jesus forgave her unbelieve and graciously restored her. Jesus used her unbelief, to reveal to her who is behind the miracles in the mountain of prayer. Jesus made her a gracious example for all of us who suffer from spiritual poverty and use the physical eyes to see instead of eyes of faith. So If you find that you are spiritually blind, I mean; your seeing of Jesus is impaired, Thomas is teaching you not to declare, “Unless I see I will never believe,” but rather say, “I believe; help my unbelief” (Mark 9:24).
My friends, without an accurate knowledge of who Christ is, you just are not going to be drawn to him. The study of “Christian evidence” is one of the crying needs of our time. There is a lot of evidence of Jesus’, healing and deliverance in SCOAN. Those who turn from the truth of God, or reject the Holy Spirit as a source of power and love in their lives, have denied Christ. All Christians must study their Bibles to learn what Christ taught and then to put it to practice in their lives. So please, if you do not know the spirit powering a person, do not open your mouth to rebel because you might be rebelling against God who you falsely claim to be worshipping. Reject the lies that the enemy has planted in your heart and trust in God
Lastly, I want to encourage you, beloved brothers and sisters in Jesus name to visit the SCOAN and freely experience the presence of God in the mountain of prayer. I repeat, IT IS FOR FREE, NO REGISTRATIONFEE, you just need a free heart, a hear free of unforgiveness, pain of the past, without grudges, that is a repentant heart and I am sure that God’s mercy will shine through to give hope to all of you; who will respond in faith. I am a witness and I know who is operating in that mountain, Jesus Christ of Nazareth and his Cherubim’s and Seraphim’s. Remain blessed.
The president of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, Prophet TB Joshua, has been known worldwide for using water as one of his faith healing materials. He started using, right from the early part of his ministry, sacks of sachet water, moving to Anointing Water, morning water and now Living Water that individual fetches on their own by faith from running taps on SCOAN Temple.
Water is common in Christianity for drinking, purification and cleansing, for baptism, used in Egypt by Moses before Pharaoh until the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is the finger of God.” The advancement that Prophet TB Joshua has brought water ministration to in evangelism and faith-building is significant. In his generosity, he has made it as part of the free services of SCOAN to humanity to run the Living Water Service at least once a month. Everyone is also invited. We pray that individual will put their faith together and fetch their Living Water. SCOAN is not charging anyone for this but requiring our faith only in the Healing Jesus Christ. TB Joshua uses this water himself as all his disciples. I’m looking forward to it very soon.
The call of Jesus Christ is very simple and clear when he said to Peter, “follow me and I will make you a fisher of men”. Peter had earlier recognised Jesus Christ to be different from others Rabbi in town when he told Jesus to depart from him because Peter recognized his unworthiness. Hence many people may be fearful, feeling unworthy or not willing to be exposed on camera and run away from this deliverance opportunity. Others may be thinking that the powers they already have like charms, cultism, all forms of contrary spirit are sufficient to deliver. These are the very reasons why you need Jesus Christ who gives a lighter burden in the place of mountains of burdens from the pit of hell.
Our doubts about TB Joshua or scepticism should by now be gone. Israelites were foot dragging recently in Nazareth but at the end, they were nursing the idea to have the return and repeat of the crusade by TB Joshua and his team. Unless you try you will be working with falsehood and fake rumours. Christ is alive and SCOAN of TB Joshua is proving this. According to Revelation 11:6 God has given some of His prophets power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. It isn’t a man’s doing but what God ordains. This is why we appreciate TB Joshua and Emmanuel partners for their love and generous service to humanity.

In this ‘clip from the archives’, hear the shocking confession of the man who arrested TB Joshua on the accusation of drug-dealing over 20 years ago in 1996…
Yusuf Hassan was among a team of 18 officers working for the NDLEA (National Drug Law Enforcement Agency) who stormed The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations to arrest TB Joshua and kept him incarcerated for 13 days!
“We get above our fears when we remember the more difficult and trying situations God has taken us through in the past. Let’s take my case as an example.
“In 1996, a battalion of fierce-looking soldiers came into the church to arrest me on account of a petition from my adversaries accusing me of dealing in drugs – something I knew nothing about. And you all know the penalty such drug related offences attracted at that time – I mean, during the military era – capital punishment or at best, life in jail.
“My enemies actually wanted me dead at all costs. Under this circumstance, one whose focus is not on God is bound to be frightened and panic-stricken:
The fear that the enemy was capable of planting the exhibit in one’s premises before calling in the police.
The fear of the punishment attached to the offence if found guilty.
“All these were capable of demoralizing me even before I got to the cell, if I were not a man of faith. The Holy Spirit never makes mistakes. So relax in times of testing. He will not let you fail. He knows your enemy; your enemy always makes mistakes!”
On 19th September 2019, over 160 of the Nigerians who voluntarily returned from South Africa in the wake of xenophobic violence came to The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN). They all testified that tensions had significantly reduced after T.B. Joshua’s tearful song ‘Africa Unite’ was released and thanked God for His intervention. They equally acknowledged they had forgiven the perpetrators of the violence and chosen not to respond with revenge after hearing the Word of God on Emmanuel TV.
Prophet TB Joshua and Emmanuel TV Partners gave the group the sum of N12,000,000 ($33,500) – with N100,000 given to each adult and the remaining allotted according to the size of the families, as many arrived from South Africa with young children and many had lost their means of livelihood during the recent attacks.
Here are just some of the experiences of the returnees, recounted in their own words:
“I lived in South Africa with my husband and three kids for several years without any issues. However, on 2nd September 2019, my husband was called that his entire shop had been burned down. He started crying – because we practically lost everything that day. In the ensuing chaos, he was shot with a rubber bullet in his hand and injured. Two weeks ago, I watched personally when the man of God cried on Emmanuel TV. Since that time, the tension has gone down. We believe God is in control.”
“I have two kids who I was struggling to care for and send to school. My husband was shot and killed during a previous xenophobic attack. I own a canteen where I sell Nigerian food but the entire shop was destroyed in the attack. I was very angry but since TB Joshua spoke to us on Emmanuel TV and said we should forgive and not harbor offence, I have forgiven them in Jesus’ name. Since he cried for Africa to unite, the situation has calmed down.”
“Everything was fine in South Africa but things changed recently. During the xenophobic attack in September, my shop was broken into, looted and then set on fire. My house was also broken into and all the valuables were stolen. Because of fear, I ran away. As you see me now, I only have the clothes on my back. I didn’t bring anything with me from South Africa. Watching Emmanuel TV, I saw Prophet TB Joshua crying for Africa to unite and stop killing each other. Since then, the tension calmed down because when he says something, people listen. He is a very powerful, prayerful person. We are here for him to pray for us.”
UBAH OKECHUKWU STANLEY:
“I am a businessman from Imo State. I don’t want to call this xenophobia – I would say some misguided individuals are using this opportunity to loot and take advantage of people, especially foreigners. Several weeks ago, youths were going from home to home, mostly where foreigners were living. They would break in and loot everything. Some unlucky to be there were attacked. Because of this, I was homeless, sleeping on the streets for several weeks. I didn’t even take a shower for over two weeks or change my clothes. Some of us ran into the bush in fear of our lives.
“When I saw Prophet TB Joshua compose and sing the song ‘Africa Unite’, I saw him in tears for the first time in my life. I saw a message of hope, peace, forgiveness and tolerance. Before that song, there was anger within the Nigerian community. We were sending messages back to Nigeria, sharing horrible videos and calling on our people to revenge the attacks. But after that song, I was delivered from that anger, malice, grievances. It was a self-deliverance. I realised our enemy is not the physical appearance but a person without flesh or blood – spirit-beings. The cause of all this is misinformation within the jobless elements but the greatest weapon to fight back with is love. After that song, I experienced calmness in my heart and calmness in the environment we were living in.”
“I lived in South Africa for eight years – since 2011. It started three weeks ago – they were looting our businesses, our shops. My little shop was destroyed. I even learned that three men with guns came looking for me. I lost everything. We watched on Emmanuel TV and were so proud of our prophet when we saw him saying, ‘Africa Unite’. We were all crying with him. When we learned a plane would repatriate willing Nigerians, we said, ‘Let us use this opportunity to come home and then to see the man of God; he is a father of all nations.’
“I lived four years in South Africa; I married a South African and we had two kids. I am a car-dealer. During these attacks, the shop where I had my cars was burned down. More than 10 cars were completely burned in that shop. The salon next to it was also burned. That’s how I decided to return to Nigeria with the Air Peace flight.”
PRECIOUS ‘JOY-OVERFLOW’ TIMOTHY:
“My personal experience is that I went to South Africa to shoot a musical video as an upcoming Gospel artist. During the attack, my husband was seriously injured; he had a bloodied wound on his head. I saw the brutality, anger and hatred but I realise the people perpetrating this are hoodlums, vagabonds and street boys – it does not represent the real South Africa. It was sad to see Nigerians, Zimbabweans, Malawians, Ethiopians running for their lives. We were thankful that Chief Allen Onyema sent a plane to South Africa to rescue us.
“Whilst in South Africa, I saw the man of God weeping on Emmanuel TV. This cry did not go in vain! After the cry, I saw peace on the streets of South Africa. Even South Africans came out and held a peace rally and apologised for what happened. TB Joshua saw what was going, went on his knees and cried unto God. God heard our prayers!”
After receiving the financial assistance, all the returnees were filled with gratitude to God, acknowledging that they never expected to receive such support and thanking God for using TB Joshua to help them restart their lives back in Nigeria.
As TB Joshua said when answering the question on why he shed tears: “What we don’t know is that if we reject people on account of the bad ones among them, we also reject the good ones.”
Truly many of us didn’t expect our Prophet TB Joshua of Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, to be crying for the plights of helpless African Youths who found them being chased out of South Africa. The politicians in all the countries of Africa have only been making very calculated political statements on the episode until TB Joshua cried about it. The public was in blindness, seemingly due to political and economic failures in their respective countries. African youths are now the victims. If these youths would survive “the Mediterranean Sea death trap” they would take yet another risk to other places including “South Africa”. Since after apartheid it seems to us that South Africa has no robust economic plan for the long future of that part of the World. We wish our prophet to give a prophetic word on the economic development of Africa in general. On academics, both short-term and long-term economic development plans should be suggested.
Meanwhile, why would Prophet TB Joshua leave the daily enormous problems in SCOAN and shedding tears because some Africans are killing themselves over economic survival; not necessarily criminal activities as South Africa government would want the rest of the world to believe. The media claimed the loss of lives to be just 12 souls. This number is relatively low compared to what is currently ongoing in Libya, Syria, Yemen, Iraq and other parts of the world daily. The hurricane in Bahamas, USA, or other place are claiming souls too.
The first answer we got is that African leaders and their youth are living in blindness, but TB Joshua can see. In Genesis 19:9-12 we read where the people of Sodom were due for God’s fire the next morning, but the inhabitants of that sinful region failed to see. Instead, they blamed Lot saying, “This one fellow came into sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them”. The angels in that episode saved Lot but they smote the men that were at the door of Lot’s house with blindness, both small and great; so that they wearied themselves to find the door. Each society requires a true Prophet in their midst for divine direction and guidance.
Incidentally, some of TB Joshua’s tears touched a few African leaders and the xenophobic victims, producing some prevailing calmness currently. It’s like the days of Prophet Elisha when the Syrian government thought that the prophet in Israel had a spy in his palace. Otherwise, why would Elisha be able to give correct information about the plans and moves of the Syrian army to the King in Israel? The full story could be read in 2 Kings 6. Therefore, the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing just as the hearts of many world leaders are towards TB Joshua at the moment. Many church leaders, political or economic leaders are unhappy with the man of God seeing their evil plans and teaching the public which path to avoid or not. Eventually, they would find out where the prophet Elisha lived so that they could arrest him.
“Therefore, sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about” to arrest the man of God. Whereas the servant of Elisha was fearful about the strength of the enemies arraigned against his master prophet Elisha wasn’t blind either did he have to cry. Instead, the prophet said to his servant, “Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them”. And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the LORD, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.
The relevance in every society of true men and women of God in this dark age is becoming more needful than before. Recently it appears that the government in South Africa has learnt some lesson because it sent out peace envoys. Nevertheless, we cannot say that African leaders have learnt anything. Xenophobia may happen soon again in any part of Africa, including here in Nigeria or South Africa. If political leaders have learnt their lessons it will be seen in the economic and youth development programmes subsequently so that this generation of African youths is not wasted away; drifting from pole to pole all in their search of better places. This is when the tears of a prophet TB Joshua of our time could be more effective when the government takes divine steps to avert coming disasters.

Says “TB Joshua’s tears against xenophobia on live TV saved our lives”
They looked trapped, beaten and ruffled. It was a mix of pain and relative relief. Pain, because all they had laboured for had vanished; pain, because their livelihoods had disappeared; pain, because they lost loved ones; and relief, because now they had returned home and from the airport, they came to the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), with headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria. The first batch of returnees were victims of xenophobic attacks in South Africa.
As they entered and sat down in the church, they began relating their stories of escape one after the other. According to them, it was the tears of Prophet T.B. Joshua during the live Sunday Service broadcast on September 8, 2019 that calmed the crisis in South Africa. As they came to SCOAN, the founder and spiritual head of the ministry, Prophet T.B. Joshua, told them that love would always remain supreme, just as he stressed on the need for unity, harmony and togetherness.
Prophet T.B. Joshua in his message to the returnees promised to continue to help them by praying for them and also through financial aid. He promised to help them by investing in their future which is the future of Africa. He equally mentioned that their spiritual wellbeing remained important to him. On behalf of himself and Emmanuel TV partners, Prophet Joshua gave them N3,000,000, with each returnee getting N100,000. The man of God stated that love is the only language that transcends all barriers.
While telling their stories, the returnees whose plane arrived Nigeria on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, gave different accounts of their ordeals but thanked Prophet Joshua for being used by God for salvaging the situation and for providing succour for them after their return.
According to Uche Victor Nwaocha, one of the returnees: “With me are my colleagues, friends, fellow brothers and sisters who came from South Africa voluntarily. I don’t even know where the problem of Africans attacking Africans came from.
‘’I was involved in the baking business. I baked chin-chin and I am proud to say it. I built the business from scratch. Africa should help us. The United Nations should help us; Prophet T.B. Joshua has tried. If others can join hands with the man of God and Emmanuel TV, then things will be better. Prophet T.B. Joshua forewarned Africa and they neglected it. This is the repercussion. The reason we all agreed to come to the Synagogue Church of All Nations is to appreciate what this ministry, Prophet T.B. Joshua and Emmanuel partners have been doing in our lives. We don’t joke with his prophecies. We always watch Emmanuel TV; that was what saved us. The tears that Prophet T.B. Joshua shed last Sunday during the live Sunday Service broadcast saved many lives. It reduced the catastrophe. After the Sunday Service where Prophet Joshua shed tears, there was calm everywhere. The police and politicians were confused. We took the opportunity of the calm to board the plane and head back to Nigeria. Many Nigerians are still coming. They don’t want us. We can see that. “
Kayode Johnson Oluwafemi equally narrated his experience. According to him, “I stayed in Pretoria Central, South Africa. This incident happened in my base. I stayed indoors for over two weeks before I could come out. On Sunday I heard that Prophet TB Joshua spoke to Africa. He wept on live TV and that saved many lives. I decided to return to Nigeria. I appreciate the man of God. He is a blessing to this generation. After Prophet TB Joshua wept against xenophobia, we were surprised that the South Africans called us for a meeting. They told us that they were willing to settle the whole issue. I was then able to step out of my house. The taxi drivers also called us for settlement.”
In his account, Aamefunam Ogbonna, another returnee stated that “The xenophobic attacks started on September 2, 2019. It was terrible. On September 8, there were tears by Prophet T.B. Joshua asking Africans to unite. His tears affected my soul. I prayed that God should use the tears in turning around the situation in South Africa. I prayed for peace. It was the tears of the man of God that made the police rally round us in saving us from the attackers. We must show love to one another.
Jude Anthony, a Nigerian based in the United States of America but who also lived in South Africa, commneded the efforts of Prophet Joshua in salvaging the situation. ‘’I am a Nigerian from the United States of America. I lived in South Africa for seven years. A friend of mine sent a Whatsapp video to me where I saw Prophet T.B. Joshua calling on Africans to unite. I saw how tears flowed from his eyes. The Bible says that God will answer the prayers of a righteous man. God heard Prophet T.B. Joshua that day when he wept. He is well respected across the world. His message has also been about love and unity. We are here today to thank him for interceding on behalf of humanity. I believe God answered his prayers on that day in stopping the spread of the calamity,’’ he said.
While recieving the money on behalf of others, Mr Nwaocha stated that ‘’We are grateful to Prophet T.B Joshua, the Synagogue Church of All Nations and Emmanuel TV. When we came here, we felt you would turn us back but you welcomed us. We are very grateful. Continue the good work.’’
On his part, Mr Anthony noted that ‘’we are most grateful. We are the first batch of returnees. We are overwhelmed by this. We have lost our livelihoods but thank God, we thank the man of God.’’ Others who spoke, thanked the man of God for the reception and the financial assistance. Olusoji Ayoola, another returnee, revealed that ‘’I am happy that we are back home. We give God the glory. We thank Prophet TB Joshua.’’
Daniel Eluebo, also a returnee could not hold back his joy when he exclaimed that ‘’I want to thank God for what he has done. All these started unexpected and God has used it to bless us unexpectedly.’’
It will be recalled that on September 8, 2019, during a live Sunday Service broadcast, Prophet Joshua in tears called on Africans to unite against the hateful tendencies that divide humanity, with Africa in particular. According to a song composed by him and jointly performed, Prophet Joshua said: ‘’Africa, unite. Don’t let fellow Africans feel unwelcome in our lands. Africa, unite. Remember where we are coming. We need each other; we need one another to grow. The South cannot do it alone. The West cannot go it alone. The East cannot do it alone. The North cannot go it alone. See the fight over joblessness among the youths. Where is the law? See the fight as a setback to Africa. Africa, unite… Let us come together. Africa, unite. Let us live in harmony.’’
It has come sadly to our notice in newspapers that the President of Sierra Leone, His Excellency Julius Bio, has sacked his state chief of protocol, Edna Kargbo, following her open testimony at SCOAN Nigeria. Kargbo, like thousands of others, might have come to the Synagogue Church of All Nations in Lagos, (SCOAN of Senior Prophet TB Joshua), testifying to the goodness of the Lord.
The general public should endeavour to know that whereas such testimonies, especially given at SCOAN, are real and trustworthy and are for God’s glory, they shouldn’t be used to punish individuals giving the testimonies. These testimonies shouldn’t also be used to arrest any of your staff members or tender as evidence in any legal proceedings. They are for the Church and where science cannot explain everything about God’s interventions in our lives, miracles, or the deliverance from shackles of poverty, or the stronghold of Satan. In any case, if God has thoroughly blessed this individual there is nothing any president can do about it, except probably that the president may be inadvertently bringing himself down by refusing to accept the work of the Holy Spirit.
That as it may, it is equally necessary to educate the public about confessions and testimonies at most Living Church of Christ and at Christian gatherings such as in SCOAN Lagos or any of it’s Crusades home or abroad. These testimonies and confessions are what the individuals perceive but truly couldn’t explain why. As far as they are concerned it can only be by some supernatural forces working for them and not their merit. Hence kindly don’t use their confessions to sack them nor use their past to punish them. Even in a multi-religious setting like in Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Ghana, etc, governments shouldn’t intervene in Church matters in issues like this. The government that failed by its internal intelligence mechanism shouldn’t have used the Church as places it could collect negative information on its officials. It is both morally and spiritually unethical.
The public should know and appreciate that individuals that pass through SCOAN’s deliverance processes usually become positively changed persons and more valued resourceful persons. They would normally be able to carry more responsibility, become my reliable, more trustworthy and more dependable. They will have an excellent spirit like was in Daniel, given to them by Jesus Christ. It is only when these expected changes are not visible in their duties that one could question them. The Jesus Christ we meet at SCOAN, or in any living Church and some are also in Sierra Leone, is big beyond our imagination and can bless not only our sister Edna Kargbo but every Sierra Leonian with bigger testimonies.

The Synagogue Church Of All Nations, SCOAN, led by the Senior Prophet TB Joshua, is celebrating its growing number of viewers via the Channel for becoming the first Christian Ministry Channel to surpass 500,000,000 views on YouTube. This is a big landmark as one in about fifteen persons worldwide is an Emmanuel TV viewer on YouTube. Those using other television channels or devices could be equally high. The implication is that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is spreading to every nuke and corner of the world.
We thank Jesus Christ for this and congratulate the efforts of TB Joshua, Emmanuel TV partners and the entire SCOAN team. The projected current world population is 7.7 billion. Emmanuel TV has thus become the most viewed Christian ministry channel on YouTube.
In statistical terms, YouTube has become the largest online video streaming website in the world. YouTube is now used by over 1 billion internet users. Therefore, YouTube is having such a significant influence over the web, controlling more than a third of the social media activities, after the likes of Google, Facebook, etc. TB Joshua and his ministries can also be found in those other Social Media platform.
The Biblical significance of this rate of spread of the gospel through social media channel will become visible soon when suddenly Jesus Christ will appear in the cloud and the shout of the Archangels sounding. The spiritual dimension of current events should be of paramount to the society rather than the big numbers and statistics from YouTube.
Meanwhile, it can be seen that Emmanuel TV was a well thought out idea by the leadership of the SCOAN when it started only 13 years ago. It is still by His grace that we are called to Jesus Christ. Even those receiving their calls through YouTube, or directly from the Bible, or a preacher, it’s still by grace. Hence, in whatever level of the “Jesus’ Gospel Field,” we are called to, we must work well. Emmanuel TV is not only serving as a backup of the evidence of the gospel in the SCOAN but also bringing the gospel closer to us daily.
The concepts of deliverance and healing may not be new to Christians who have quite a significant knowledge of the Word, the breath of God. The notion of becoming born-again (a spirit of newness and radical transformation) is derived from the experience of deliverance. And every Christian wants to be seen as being delivered; born of water and Holy Spirit and become anew in his/her relationship with God. Deliverance has to be perfect; it should be a new experience which comes when a man is separated from unholiness and impurities of life. It is generally understood as a process of separation between light and darkness; it brings about a distance between light and darkness. It has to do with renewed cordiality with Jesus, the symbol of light, who must quench the ignoble traffic of blindness, evil, darkness, and spiritual terrorism in people.
Delivered and free
During a recent Sunday service, Prophet T.B. Joshua had tried to explain in detail what deliverance means. He said the spirit of darkness has to engage the world that it is obvious that it has become an object of worship to some. It is in recognition of the power of darkness that deliverance must be practically potent. Darkness is responsible for bad leadership, family disunity, greed, insubordination, immorality and attachment to the idols, to name a few instances. Most kids involved in cultism, rape, stealing and drugs are propelled by forces of darkness, but so are the elders, the parents who have polluted the political, economic and social space in society. People are in bondage today as seen in marital unhappiness, lack of innate peace, and quest for satanic powers; many people are jobless, hopeless and helpless because they are trapped.
One point which Prophet Joshua made clear is that it is quite possible for a man to confess God and still be in bondage, unless a permanent deliverance occurs in the life of such a person. The knowledge of God is not sufficient for man, but the ability to have God’s Spirit. He has said repeatedly that “not only must we have God’s Word in order to be born again, or to become a pastor; we must have God’s Spirit”.
This seems to be a response to the fact that most people who claim to have been delivered, and have become born again, are in truth very far from the orientation. Their deliverance has been most suspect, hollow and spiritually inconsequential. Such deliverance happened by words of the mouth and lacks spiritual potency and celestial grace. Most pastors who engage in delivering and healing people these days are themselves in need of the same process – they are gripped and menaced by the devil. Satan is cunning and hypocritical, and has his own ways of instilling his presence in the lives of people. For the Kingdom of Light to have impact on people, their spiritual life has to be operated upon, to remove the filths and impurities planted in them by satan. This is the essence of deliverance.
This is why Prophet Joshua speaks often that there are two kinds of pastors: there are those who commit the words of God into memory, and teach and preach with same (most of the modern pastors belong here as they have the ability to quote extensively without the necessary authority to achieve their mission). The second group is for pastors “who can move mountains”; those who commit the Word into their hearts (by making same an integral part of themselves). They know of God’s ways; they act with God, and know His opinion about themselves and others. And “when something is part of you, it dictates to you; it is your director. When you memorize, you will confess but not from your belief”, the prophet has said.
He also established that before something becomes one’s belief, it must become an integral part of the person, as “our faith is in our heart”. He said in a contest between light and darkness, light must have victory, which is what deliverance is. He said that these days “people are not sure of themselves again”, for they may be in the arms of evil forces and yet proclaim the almightiness of God. This is true, as seen in the examples of many pastors (with ministries or churches) who had negative, influencing spirits coming to The SCOAN and other living churches to receive deliverance.
He said while 20% of the people are ignorant of such evil forces, 70% of them are aware. However, the problem has always been how to combat same. Most deliverances in many places are not thorough, sincere, effective and God-inspired. Indeed, not all those who call the name of the Lord, and do His will, will enter the Kingdom of God. Deliverance is therefore, an integral part of belief; it is the preamble to the exercise of that belief. Without it, belief is sheer dramatics. He said: “Our lives are not what we confess” as we often confess blessing but experience poverty; confess breakthroughs but experience stagnation and failure. Words said without adequate form of deliverance are a package in empty encounters. He said: “No one can say, Jesus is Lord genuinely unless he is genuinely delivered”, and that “our God is Spirit; those who confess Him must do so in Spirit and truth”.
Deliverance is associated with the use of power because as Prophet Joshua said, “Divine nature must be of holiness”. You have no control of your divine nature”. In other words, “If you yield to light, light takes control of your divine nature”; no man can use the power given by the Holy Spirit at his own will; it has to be by the will of the Father. And such power will have to be original, and not a photocopy. The use of original power must lead to true deliverance because “if you are praying and not delivered, it’s like you are calling your father at home,” said Prophet Joshua.
The problem, nowadays, is that rather than recognizing the different graces bestowed upon each other, denominational difference are rather projected in Christianity. As such occurs, love is killed, faith is brutalized and deliverances become hollow and impotent of effect. Some Christians have seen churches as running a race; they speak of the number of worshippers rather that those being truly saved. Yet, the apostles of Jesus worked as one; they acted in oneness to achieve great effects as recorded in the Holy Bible. Joshua preaches today that the gifts of God may be enjoyed if churches are interdependent and pastors believe in collective approach to God through true deliverance. Today, people are departing from the way of the Lord, and “people should avoid being wasted”, he emphasised.
William Mensah, a Ghanaian residing in South Africa, sent a remarkable testimony of how God used the Anointing Sticker from The SCOAN to save his young son from an operation after he had swallowed a sizeable metallic object
“Emmanuel!!! In the evening of 27th April 2014, my two year old son swallowed quite a large piece of broken metal. I immediately took him to hospital and after x-rays, the doctor said that if it does not come by the following day, she would have to go to the theatre for an operation. By the next day, nothing had happened. I began fearing the worst. We went back to the hospital and the doctor booked us for an operation the next day. He said should bring him to the theatre in the morning.
“As dawn broke and we were preparing to take him, I suddenly had inspiration. I had an Anointing Sticker in my house! I took the Anointing Sticker, placed it on the boy’s tummy and prayed. I said, ‘God of Prophet T.B. Joshua, please let this metal come out of this boy without him feeling it or hurting him in any form. Let there be no operation, in Jesus’ name! Amen!’
“About 20 minutes later, the boy came to me and said, ‘Daddy, I need to poo!’ I took him to the bathroom to change him. Lo and behold, when I removed his pampers, the piece of metal had miraculously come out! Emmanuel!”
Hallelujah! As Prophet T.B. Joshua says, “When you acknowledge God as your Healer, Deliverer and Redeemer, HE will do it again and again!”
Latest Update on the TB Joshua’s Nazareth Meeting. As at Friday evening, two days to the beginning of Prophet T.B. Joshua’s meeting on Mount Precipice, in Nazareth, Israel nationals from 23 countries have arrived for the programme.
More people are being expected before commencement of the programme.
In Nazareth, the host city, most of the hotels, especially in the Old Nazareth, are fully booked.
Tour operators are kept busy ferrying pilgrims for the programme from the Ben Gurion International Airport to Nazareth.
Among the countries represented include: Holland, Jamaica, Cuba, Russia, Nigeria, Singapore, Japan, Spain, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Germany, Malawi and Zimbabwe.
Others are: Canada, Botswana, Mexico, Argentina, Finland, Iceland, South Korea, Cameroun, Ghana and Italy.
Organisers say nationals from more than 50 countries are expected at the event.
One of tour operators ferrying pilgrims for the programme, Mrs. Deborah Luca, an Israeli national, described the turnout so far as overwhelming.
She said: “I did not know that there will be so many people coming.
“It is tremendous; it is beyond my expectation. I am a minister of worship. I bring people annually here in the past three years, we have our annual Art of Worship, what we are seeing here is better seen than described.”
Speaking on the Prophet TB Joshua meeting, a tour bus driver from Nazareth, described the number of visitors as extremely impressive.
His words: “The peak period for tourism in Nazareth is between July and August when the children are on vacation. What we are seeing is absolutely impressive for just one event.”
On April 1, this year, world-renowned Christian clairvoyant and miracle executor, Prophet T.B Joshua, had written on his twitter handle, “Anytime you encounter trials, take them as an opportunity for you to honour God before men.” Wittingly or unwittingly, that expression, coming from the founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN)-a Christian body that has variously come under knocks or praises, might have indicated that there is yet, some fire on the mountain.
Joshua, a one-time rural dwelling cleric on the Lagos outskirts, is now a man being sought after, all over the world. No fewer than 20 heads of state and prominent world leaders had come visiting at his SCOAN headquarters in Ikotun-Egbe, Lagos, as they are either there to pay him obeisance, seek miraculous healing, or hanker for some foretell.
However, despite T.B Joshua’s soaring popularity and the several cocktail of affection from adherents of his genre of Christian religious worship, there is a pesky worry he may be silently brooding at the home-front; which to many who love him, translates to the biblical saying that “a prophet has no honour in his homeland.”
It is an open secret in Nigeria’s Christendom that Joshua’s formula of worship, with emphasis on the swift, seemingly dramatic ways his needy worshippers obtain their miracles, has met with an abiding rebuff and grinding resentment from many Pentecostal church leaders, who see that modality as hogwash and by implication, fetish.
Like a plague, therefore, the Pentecostal church leaders have kept their distance from Joshua, with a strict instruction to their members not to have any dealing with him and his team.
Only last December, at the Holy Ghost Congress of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), arguably Nigeria’s largest church, T.B. Joshua was sarcastically cited in furtherance to the hostility to his dimension to Christianity.
There, the RCCG General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, remarked that the church ushers stumbled on key holders that were put up for sale bearing his (Adeboye’s) picture.
Adeboye said the production of the key holders with his picture “is an attempt to equate me with God.”
However, Adeboye was more displeased that apart from the sacrilegious dimension to putting his picture on a key-holder, on the flipside of the key-holder was also the picture of T.B Joshua! Looking worried, he then told the congregation, “And you know what that means.”
But objecting to Adeboye’s remarks at the period, the National President of the Association of Christian Theologians (ACTS), Prof Olakunle Macaulay, said the onus was to first prove if the key-holder emanated from TB Joshua, “before passing comments against his personality”.
“First, you have to find out the source of the key-holder before passing comments against Joshua’s personality. We must realise that because of the harsh economic situation in the country, people resort to various things to survive; including even kidnapping.
“People could decide to use the picture of T.B Joshua on their own, maybe because of the miracles in his church, and decide to place it with that of Adeboye, for market value. So, Pastor Adeboye should have investigated the source of the key-holder before coming out to pass comments that tend to denigrate T.B. Joshua.”
Macaulay added: “Even, if the key-holder had been traced to T.B Joshua, you have to find out his purpose for manufacturing it. Did he say it should be used for magical purpose? The scriptures told us to investigate thoroughly and hold on to the truth; not to pass judgment on feelings or hearsay.
“After all, people pray in the name of God of Oyedepo, God of Adeboye. Are these people not also idolising these men of God? That is, if that is the angle with which Adeboye wanted to view the key-holder controversy.”
In his inimitable character, however, Joshua has refused to react to the caustic remark from the RCCG leader, as he goes about his duties; attending to the hordes of visitors at his SCOAN headquarters, mostly foreigners. When this correspondent accosted him and wanted to hear his side of the story, a calm Joshua simply smiled, waving his hands to suggest, “Let’s forget about it.”
Defending Joshua still, another Bible scholar, Mr. Seyi Ologunaye, said, “The Pentecostal churches cannot decide for God on how He intends to carry out his miracles, and so, they should go and seek for forgiveness in criticising T.B Joshua.”
According to him, when Namaan, the leprous Syrian army general, came to Elijah, the prophet, in the Bible, the latter told him to go bathe seven times in River Jordan to get his healing, noting that if it’s by strutting fanny fingers and slapping heads that people get their miracles at the SCOAN, it’s nobody’s business.
“After all, I’ve listened to the man preach on many occasions and have not heard a single heresy from his words,” he stressed.
Plan to Relocate to Israel
Two years ago, T.B Joshua had hinted of his resolve to relocate to the State of Israel, in what he himself tacitly linked to his ordeals in the Nigerian environment.
Though he said the move was not connected to the “persecution” he had been witnessing in Nigeria, he also said the move would help people to “appreciate” what his ministry had been contributing to the local economy and Nigeria’s international image.
He said of Israel: “This is where my Father in Heaven came from; it’s non-negotiable. It’s the best place for you to meet Prophet T.B. Joshua. After your healing, blessing and deliverance, you can move around all the spiritual monuments, which will establish your faith.”
Joshua added a clincher though: “This (his SCOAN) is the most persecuted ministry in the world. Who are the people persecuting the ministry? My people, Africans.
“That is why I choose to live a lonely life. If you want to see me, come to this church. I don’t go out. It has not been easy-because I don’t know who is a friend or who is an enemy.
“If you learn T.B. Joshua is not around, I am in a revival. I live in the church here. I don’t have a house outside. Anytime you pray, remember Africa in prayer. Many heroes and great people have been chased out of Africa. There are many geniuses in the Western world who are originally from Africa.”
Not a few Nigerians were alarmed by his decision to relocate from Nigeria, thus eliciting a flurry of appeals to the Man of God, to reconsider his decision in the interest of Nigerians who derive spiritual benefit from him, and indeed, the Nigerian nation whose economy was benefitting from the influx of foreign worshippers to his SCOAN, in Lagos.
Reacting, a Lagos economist, Mr. Segun Oyeyemi said, “What people don’t realise is that, if the Man of God decides to leave the country, most of these foreign visitors who, while here, change their foreign currencies and storm our markets purchasing various items, will no longer be around. And that means loss of money.”
He also pointed the public attention to the fact that Joshua is a philanthropist, who has for many years, been helping the less-privileged who include widows, the motherless children, the maimed, and even, Nigerians stranded in the Libyan serfdom. “So, if you frustrate him out of the country, you can imagine what Nigeria is going to lose,” he cautioned.
Building Collapse Incident
What has indubitably become a sobering moment in the chequered history of the SCOAN is the church’s high-rising hotel building that collapsed on September 12, 2014, in which 115 persons, mostly South Africans, lost their lives.
While that particular incident is still under government probe, the SCOAN television station, Emmanuel TV, had shortly after the collapse, shown a CCTV footage depicting a “mystery plane” that flew very low, over the building three times before it finally went down. This revelation, at the period, sent tongues wagging that an explosive might have been deposited on the building, causing it to come tumbling down.
The SCOAN has ever since canonised the departed souls, remembering them as martyrs of faith. Besides, the church is reported to be providing some succour to their respective families without wanting any publicity given to the effort.
About T.B Joshua
Born on June 12, 1965 at Arigidi, a little community in the current-day Akoko North-East Local Government area of Ondo State, Temitope Balogun Joshua came to the world as a mystery child. As against the usual nine months, Joshua was said to be in his mother’s womb for 15 months, and that while growing up, he encountered so many life-threatening problems that he ended up overcoming.
Owing to financial difficulties, he couldn’t proceed to the secondary school, as he ended his educational pursuit at St Stephen’s Anglican Primary School, Arigidi. His parents could not afford his school fees.
Re-collectors say young Joshua was known among his peers as ‘small pastor’ because of his love for the Bible and the things of God. His several sorties to pursue a career in the secular world, it was learnt, crashed each time he attempted it.
Joshua had also striven to join the Nigerian army in his youthful days but the vehicle conveying him to Kaduna for the recruitment interview broke down on the way. And he missed the opportunity. As he waddled through the circumstances of life, the compass of destiny kept directing him in the direction of the vineyard. And on March 8, 2007, Joshua began the SCOAN in a jungle at Ikotun-Egbe, which is today, a beehive of activities for Christian pilgrims from across the world.
Be inspired by the following testimony from Sisasenkosi from Zimbabwe!
“Emmanuel! I am a 27 year old lady and I wish to give God all the glory for the healing which has taken place in my body. I was passing out black smelly blood for 4-5 days before l could have my normal period every month. The black blood was rotten blood showing that it had been in my body for some time and became stale. This problem was with me for 4 years and it made my life extremely uncomfortable. I avoided being around people when l was passing out that blood because l was afraid they would smell the terrible odour.
“I visited doctors and they could not give me any medication because they didn’t know what to say was wrong with me. Also, this year in January 2015, l visited a doctor again because l was desperate for a diagnosis so that l could get healing. The medical staff around me all suspected different things such as fibroids and cancer. So on the 6th January 2015 my doctor referred me to a scan of the uterus. The aim of the scan was to check where the black rotting blood was coming from. A full uterus scan was done but they couldn’t find out what the problem actually was. Because of that, the doctor could not give me any tablets because he failed to figure out where the blood was coming from.
“God saw that l was at a very desperate point and needed Him to intervene as my last hope of healing. So, on 30th January l was privileged to receive the Anointing Water through my brother who resides in South Africa. The Anointing Water was actually sent for my mother who was suffering from severe depression which had made her suicidal. So, when l saw it, l also believed that it was sent for me. l went to my room, shut the door and put the Anointing Water against my womb. The bottle was closed and it was still inside the box but l believed it would heal me even through the box without opening it!
“When l prayed and continued holding the bottle inside a box, the power of God hit me so hard that l couldn’t stand. I was thrown all over the room by the Holy Ghost for about an hour! l knew at that moment that my healing had come. I felt like vomiting and even though l didn’t get to vomit anything out l knew that the demon behind my affliction had come out!
“To the glory of God on the 4th of February last week, l got confirmation that indeed l have been healed. For the first time in 4 years, l saw fresh red normal blood coming out of my body. I passed out healthy blood like all other women do out there and l am giving all the glory to Jesus who touched me through the Anointing Water! Even as l write this testimony, l am still bleeding because Jesus is still cleaning my womb. In the past years l had feared not having children but now l am confident that someday l will get married and be a mother too. Thank You, Jesus! Thank you, Prophet TB Joshua! Thank you, SCOAN!”
