“Why I Cried Over Xenophobia” – Tb Joshua Reveals!

Prophet TB Joshua

After shedding tears last week at the outbreak of xenophobic violence in South Africa, Nigerian Pastor TB Joshua has spoken about his uncharacteristic display of emotions.

“It was very necessary for Mr TB Joshua – not Prophet – to cry because of what he saw coming,” Joshua told a congregation – which included hundreds of South African nationals on pilgrimage to his church – on Sunday 15th September 2019.

The cleric proceeded to thank the multicultural congregants – and believers worldwide – for joining him in prayer.

“Thank God our prayers were answered,” he declared to enthusiastic applause, evidently referring to the palpable de-escalation in tension in the volatile region.

Corroborating this assertion, thirty of the Nigerians who voluntarily returned from South Africa in the wake of the violence visited The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) to thank Joshua for the “tears he shed for African unity”.

In a report published in the Nigerian Tribune , Uche Victor Nwaocha explained there was tangible fear within the foreign community in South Africa with threats of more xenophobic violence looming large but Joshua’s tearful call for African unity changed the equation.

“The tears he shed last Sunday not only touched hearts but saved many souls. After that Sunday service, there was calmness,” the Nigerian, who lived in South Africa for seven years, revealed.

Ichigodora Dengarinenharo, a Zimbabwean also living in South Africa, echoed Uche’s sentiments in a comment on YouTube, insisting the song was actually “a prayer”.

“After releasing this song, all of a sudden there was calmness in the whole country,” she wrote.“There were plans to spread xenophobia to all provinces on the 9th of September but instead, after releasing this song on the 8th, we woke up to a quiet South Africa.”

Kayode Johnson Oluwafemi, another of the Nigerian returnees, explained he stayed in his house for almost a fortnight after the violence broke out in fear of reprisal attacks.

“The man of God’s message and tears shook the whole of Africa. Even those South Africans that were fighting before – they called us for a meeting of settlement… We saw the changes immediately. Even me – after the message, I had confidence to go out,” he shared.

Joshua, who is known for his humanitarian gestures, gave the group N3,000,000 to support them on their return to their homeland.

Speaking further during the church service, the cleric insisted that every nation has its challenges but the approach of the provoked South Africans “was wrong”.

“It’s okay to be wrong only if we retract our steps,” he insisted, adding that he had a sent a message to “people in authority” in South Africa calling on them to “hold a peace rally” to send a message of appeasement.

True to his words, South Africans gathered in large numbers later on Sunday, taking to the streets to stage a peaceful rally calling for African unity and apologising to foreign nationals targeted in the xenophobic attacks.

South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa equally revealed his nation is sending a team of Special Envoys throughout the continent to deliver a message of solidarity to the African Heads of State.

‘Africa Unite’ , the song Joshua composed addressing the precarious situation, has been viewed over 1,000,000 times on YouTube and Facebook since its release last week.

South African Returnees Get Financial Aid, Succour From SCOAN

Says “TB Joshua’s tears against xenophobia on live TV saved our lives”

They looked trapped, beaten and ruffled. It was a mix of pain and relative relief. Pain, because all they had laboured for had vanished; pain, because their livelihoods had disappeared; pain, because they lost loved ones; and relief, because now they had returned home and from the airport, they came to the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), with headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria. The first batch of returnees were victims of xenophobic attacks in South Africa.

As they entered and sat down in the church, they began relating their stories of escape one after the other. According to them, it was the tears of Prophet T.B. Joshua during the live Sunday Service broadcast on September 8, 2019 that calmed the crisis in South Africa. As they came to SCOAN, the founder and spiritual head of the ministry, Prophet T.B. Joshua, told them that love would always remain supreme, just as he stressed on the need for unity, harmony and togetherness.

Prophet T.B. Joshua in his message to the returnees promised to continue to help them by praying for them and also through financial aid. He promised to help them by investing in their future which is the future of Africa. He equally mentioned that their spiritual wellbeing remained important to him. On behalf of himself and Emmanuel TV partners, Prophet Joshua gave them N3,000,000, with each returnee getting N100,000. The man of God stated that love is the only language that transcends all barriers.

While telling their stories, the returnees whose plane arrived Nigeria on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, gave different accounts of their ordeals but thanked Prophet Joshua for being used by God for salvaging the situation and for providing succour for them after their return.

According to Uche Victor Nwaocha, one of the returnees: “With me are my colleagues, friends, fellow brothers and sisters who came from South Africa voluntarily. I don’t even know where the problem of Africans attacking Africans came from.

‘’I was involved in the baking business. I baked chin-chin and I am proud to say it. I built the business from scratch. Africa should help us. The United Nations should help us; Prophet T.B. Joshua has tried. If others can join hands with the man of God and Emmanuel TV, then things will be better. Prophet T.B. Joshua forewarned Africa and they neglected it. This is the repercussion. The reason we all agreed to come to the Synagogue Church of All Nations is to appreciate what this ministry, Prophet T.B. Joshua and Emmanuel partners have been doing in our lives. We don’t joke with his prophecies. We always watch Emmanuel TV; that was what saved us. The tears that Prophet T.B. Joshua shed last Sunday during the live Sunday Service broadcast saved many lives. It reduced the catastrophe. After the Sunday Service where Prophet Joshua shed tears, there was calm everywhere. The police and politicians were confused. We took the opportunity of the calm to board the plane and head back to Nigeria. Many Nigerians are still coming. They don’t want us. We can see that. “

Kayode Johnson Oluwafemi equally narrated his experience. According to him, “I stayed in Pretoria Central, South Africa. This incident happened in my base. I stayed indoors for over two weeks before I could come out. On Sunday I heard that Prophet TB Joshua spoke to Africa. He wept on live TV and that saved many lives. I decided to return to Nigeria. I appreciate the man of God. He is a blessing to this generation. After Prophet TB Joshua wept against xenophobia, we were surprised that the South Africans called us for a meeting. They told us that they were willing to settle the whole issue. I was then able to step out of my house. The taxi drivers also called us for settlement.”

In his account, Aamefunam Ogbonna, another returnee stated that “The xenophobic attacks started on September 2, 2019. It was terrible. On September 8, there were tears by Prophet T.B. Joshua asking Africans to unite. His tears affected my soul. I prayed that God should use the tears in turning around the situation in South Africa. I prayed for peace. It was the tears of the man of God that made the police rally round us in saving us from the attackers. We must show love to one another.

Jude Anthony, a Nigerian based in the United States of America but who also lived in South Africa, commneded the efforts of Prophet Joshua in salvaging the situation. ‘’I am a Nigerian from the United States of America. I lived in South Africa for seven years. A friend of mine sent a Whatsapp video to me where I saw Prophet T.B. Joshua calling on Africans to unite. I saw how tears flowed from his eyes. The Bible says that God will answer the prayers of a righteous man. God heard Prophet T.B. Joshua that day when he wept. He is well respected across the world. His message has also been about love and unity. We are here today to thank him for interceding on behalf of humanity. I believe God answered his prayers on that day in stopping the spread of the calamity,’’ he said.

While recieving the money on behalf of others, Mr Nwaocha stated that ‘’We are grateful to Prophet T.B Joshua, the Synagogue Church of All Nations and Emmanuel TV. When we came here, we felt you would turn us back but you welcomed us. We are very grateful. Continue the good work.’’

On his part, Mr Anthony noted that ‘’we are most grateful. We are the first batch of returnees. We are overwhelmed by this. We have lost our livelihoods but thank God, we thank the man of God.’’ Others who spoke, thanked the man of God for the reception and the financial assistance. Olusoji Ayoola, another returnee, revealed that ‘’I am happy that we are back home. We give God the glory. We thank Prophet TB Joshua.’’

Daniel Eluebo, also a returnee could not hold back his joy when he exclaimed that ‘’I want to thank God for what he has done. All these started unexpected and God has used it to bless us unexpectedly.’’

It will be recalled that on September 8, 2019, during a live Sunday Service broadcast, Prophet Joshua in tears called on Africans to unite against the hateful tendencies that divide humanity, with Africa in particular. According to a song composed by him and jointly performed, Prophet Joshua said: ‘’Africa, unite. Don’t let fellow Africans feel unwelcome in our lands. Africa, unite. Remember where we are coming. We need each other; we need one another to grow. The South cannot do it alone. The West cannot go it alone. The East cannot do it alone. The North cannot go it alone. See the fight over joblessness among the youths. Where is the law? See the fight as a setback to Africa. Africa, unite… Let us come together. Africa, unite. Let us live in harmony.’’

TB Joshua shares sombre message on 5th anniversary of SCOAN building collapse

Exactly five years after the tragic collapse of a guesthouse at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), Pastor T.B. Joshua has honoured the ‘blessed memory’ of those who died in the incident with a thought-provoking message.

On September 12th 2014, 115 people lost their lives in the horrific building collapse, 84 of them South African nationals visiting The SCOAN for religious reasons.

“A Christian does not consider death to be his end but the end of his trouble,”the cleric eulogised in a special broadcast on Emmanuel TV in commemoration of the anniversary.

Joshua stressed the inevitability of death, adding that a person’s age or the nature of their demise were not the critical issue. “What matters is the grace to continue living hereafter,”he said.

Waxing philosophical, Joshua asked viewers to be introspective as they remember the dark day.

“How are you spending your life,” he reflectively asked. “Because the greatest way to use life is to spend it on something that will outlive it – for instance, to love someone more dearly every day.”

Joshua called on his followers to proactively engage in helping others, stressing that “when you look around you”, you would assuredly find those “in need of your love, help, strength and time.”

He concluded with a sober reminder: “Live each day as if it were your last. Someday, you will be right.”

Despite the passing of five years, the controversy surrounding the cause of the deadly collapse remains, further induced by the attendant court case stuck in a seemingly endless legal quagmire.

The SCOAN still insists the church was ‘attacked’, pointing to a military plane which encircled the ill-fated building several times before its implosion.

The incident, however, has done little to quell the flow of foreign pilgrims to Joshua’s church with numbers from the Nigerian immigration service estimating six in every ten tourists to Nigeria are bound for The SCOAN.

Africa Unite: Tb Joshua’s Tearful Song Goes Viral!

tb joshua, crying, africa uniteTB Joshua’s emotional song calling for African unity has gone viral, ratcheting up over 700,000 views on social media in under two days.

The Nigerian cleric, who penned the lyrics in the in the wake of the recent eruption of xenophobic violence in South Africa, was visibly moved and shed tears as the song was played during his church service on Sunday 8th September 2019.

The song clearly struck a nerve with thousands commenting that the composition made them equally emotional and echoing Joshua’s call for African unity.

The simple melody calls on Africans to avoid violence, overlook differences and embrace peace.

According to the lyrics: “The South cannot do it alone. The West cannot go it alone. The East cannot do it alone. The North cannot go it alone. We need each other; we need one another to grow. Africa unite.”

Joshua also called on all parties involved to respect and uphold the law. “See the killing over drug misuse. See the fight over joblessness among the youth. Where is the law?”

The song concludes with a plea for Africans to ensure fellow citizens of their continent do not ‘feel unwelcome’.

Remi Sonaiya, a former Nigerian Presidential candidate, was among those to react on Twitter after watching the song replayed on Emmanuel TV.

“It was rather moving and many in the congregation were in tears. May the prayers be answered. Killing and looting aren’t the solution to our problems. Good governance is,” she wrote.

On Emmanuel TV’s official YouTube Channel, the song has recorded over 300,000 views with another 400,000 watching the clip uploaded to Joshua’s verified Facebook account.

The Day TB Joshua Wept

Crying TB Joshua Calling For Africa Unity

It was an emotional moment on the September 8th, 2019 Live Sunday service at the Synagogue, Church of all Nations (SCOAN) where Prophet TB Joshua under the leading of the Holy Spirit was on stage with The SCOAN Choir.

The esteemed man of God who has decided not to talk but to express his feelings and those of like-minded Africans and the world at large through this special composition urging Africa to unite in love and solidarity. Let us stop the killings. Let us welcome one another. “Africa Unite!”

This is so touching; we have never seen Prophet TB Joshua on Emmanuel TV shedding tears.

This is happening due to the recent unrest in South Africa and Africa at large. In the photos, we can see a placard hung over Prophet TB Joshua as he tears roll down his eyes singing:

Africa unite

Africa let us unite

We need each other

We need one another to grow

Africa unite

Africa unite

The South cannot do it alone

The West cannot go it alone

The East cannot do it alone

The North cannot go it alone

We need each other

The Cold War Against TB Joshua

tb joshua, scoan
Prophet T.B. Joshua

When we reveal that there is an anti-TB Joshua gang out there that are on a secret mission (though no longer secrete) to kill the Prophet, don’t try to get yourself being misled that we are being alarmist. It is important to bring this to your notice that all this information are not just exaggerated reports, but they are well received classified intelligent security reports from diverse sources around the world on the evil plot against TB Joshua’s life and ministry.

As times goes on, we will be trying our best to draw your attention to some events that will be unfolding. Matching those events with these security reports will go a long way in unveiling the truth.

We need to know that the evil forces who have taken control of the world establishments are as we speak, waging a deadly cold war against TB Joshua and his ministry. TB Joshua is being targeted in every front and those behind this conspiracy are doing it in such a way that it is difficult to trace where the targets are coming from. It will only take one with deep insight into conspiracy matters and personal revelations from God to know what is going on. And you will be shocked to know those behind all these evil schemes against the Prophet. Always put it in mind that it is a local and international collaboration.

In our past published security recommendation here to the Prophet and the SCOAN family worldwide, we made mentioned as part of the security intelligent reports we received that there is a plan target against those that have publicly associated with TB Joshua, especially those in well-placed positions. We told everyone to watch their back because those that want to kill TB Joshua will be coming after them too. They will be blackmailed and there imaged tarnished with supports from News media and journalist; which is a part of the holistic scheme in their targeting of TB Joshua and his ministry.

The world is under the power of Satan and those that have sold their soul because of the vanity of this world are the ones who are into this scheme to kill the Prophet and as well targeting those around him. They are not comfortable with the great work of God in the SCOAN and the grace of God – the spiritual powers/ gift in the life of the Prophet.

Most of their evil schemes they intended against the Children of God are being forced to be on hold and those in enforcement are being brought to not through the Prophetic gift, healings and deliverance in the life and ministry of the Prophet, and these they are not comfortable with.

They don’t know what God may do next through the Prophet and they are counting the day they will be exposed for the evil they are. To their shame before the entire world.

Julius Maada Bio, Sierra Leone, tb joshua, scoanWe are all aware of the reported persecution our beloved Sister in Christ, Mrs Fatmata Edna Kargbo is going through because of the testimony she gave to the glory of God at the SCOAN on the goodness and mercies of God upon her life, family and career.

The facts that the world News media are trying to twist the truths and create the impression that Mrs Fatmata Edna Kargbo completed are God’s given house after 14 years through proceeds of corruption, should not come as a surprise to anyone.

We are all aware of the role she played compelling the government of her nation to seek aid from TB Joshua during the period when the deadly Ebola Virus was spreading around communities and killing citizens of the nation of Sierra Leone.

Remember the security reports that came from an alleged Russian security sources during the period of the attacked at the SCOAN guest house here: (http://www.whatdoesitmean.com/index1805.htm). It claimed one of the reasons for the attacked against the SCOAN was the role the Prophet played as an instrument in God’s hand in helping some Africa nation during the Ebola virus crisis. (Note: we are not in any way given a substantiation to the said report since there have not been any official response from the SCOAN about that report till date.) The said lady that is being persecuted right now was the one who out of patriotism and love for her nation persuade her government to seek divine help from God in TB. Joshua’s ministry.

For those who watched her first Testimony, she gave Live on Emmanuel TV after God’s intervention in stopping the spread of the Ebola virus in her nation. There was a revealing part of her testimony that was edited out in the respond Video from the SCOAN concerning her recent travail.

Mrs Fatmata Edna Kargbo was the one who exposed on Emmanuel TV the opposition they face from some powerful international bodies who confiscated the Anointed Waters sent by TB Joshua to help stop the Ebola Virus diseases. This was even though the Anointed water was officially ordered by the then government in power. But some powerful international forces never wanted the anointed water to be used but with the help of some persons amongst them, who have the fear of God some of the anointed water was secretly released to them to be used in some regions.

She and some voluntaries had to risk their lives to go to does affected regions to minister the anointed waters and does regions have been declared Ebola virus-free till date.

So therefore, we must know where this battle is coming from and the direction it is heading towards.

Let us not forget the many conspiracy theories out there about the Ebola Virus disease itself– like those that say it was manmade, a biological weapon and it was created to reduced or exterminate the African race. Also, TB Joshua said the Ebola virus was manufactured from the pit of hell. We will allow you to put things together and think for yourself.

MAY GOD DELIVER HIS CHURCH FROM EVERY PLOT EMANATING FROM THE KINGDOM OF DARKNESS! AMEN!!

VIDEO: TB Joshua fires back over controversial Sierra Leone testimony

Julius Maada Bio, Sierra Leone, tb joshua, scoanAfter news was widely circulated that a Sierra Leonean government official was ‘sacked’ following her testimony at T.B. Joshua’s church, the Nigerian cleric has responded by releasing a video of the lady’s controversial testimony.

International media outlets such as CNN reported the story of Mrs Fatmata Edna Kargbo, the Chief Protocol Officer of President Julius Maada Bio, whose testimony of ‘God’s blessings in her life’ after visiting Joshua’s church in Lagos, Nigeria, sparked public concern in Sierra Leone.

Kargbo was invited for questioning by the nation’s anti-corruption agency after insinuations were rife at the speed of her apparent rise in wealth.

However, Joshua’s television channel, Emmanuel TV, released the video of Kargbo’s actual testimony, which she shared on Sunday 21stJuly 2019.

According to Kargbo, after visiting The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) – “the house I constructed for 10 years without finishing – in exactly 14 years, I was able to complete it through the grace of God!”

This contradicts the narrative implied by most media reports that the Sierra Leonean politician amassed excessive finances within the short timeframe of her appointment as Bio’s Chief Protocol Officer in April 2018.

The clip released on Emmanuel TV also paints Kargbo as a patriotic figure who championed the cause of her nation during the deadly Ebola outbreak in the nation in 2014.

A letter from then President Dr Ernest Bai Koroma to Joshua, requesting his assistance in the nation to battle the deadly virus, is revealed, alongside a donation of $50,000 to Sierra Leone and 4,000 bottles of ‘Anointing Water’ to help curb the spread of the disease.

Kargbo reveals she personally received the gifts from Joshua – which were sent in a private jet chartered to the tune of $50,000 – and ensured they reached the affected areas, claiming that the regions where the ‘water’ reached were later declared Ebola free.

Although most media reports claimed Kargbo had been ‘sacked’ from her job, a statement from the presidential office indicated she had only been placed on leave pending the outcome of the corruption investigation.

TB JOSHUA PULLS CHINESE CROWD TO NIGERIA!

china, scoan, tb joshuaChristians from as far afield as China have trudged in their numbers to Nigeria in search of a ‘miracle’ through the ministry of Pastor T.B. Joshua.

Despite recent reports highlighting the suppression of Christianity in Communist China, it has not deterred large groups of Chinese citizens embarking on religious tourism to Joshua’s popular Lagos-based church named The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN).

On Sunday 25thAugust 2019, in Joshua’s church service broadcast on Emmanuel TV – YouTube’s most watched Christian ministry network with over 500,000,000 individual views – more than 150 Asian worshippers can be seen in the midst of the multicultural crowd.china, tb joshua. scoan

A Chinese citizen named Shou Qiang shared a public testimony that he was ‘delivered’ from a ‘suicidal spirit’ following Joshua’s prophecy and prayers.

china, scoanAccompanied by his wife and young daughter, Qiang admitted he had almost committed suicide on three occasions prior to his visit to Nigeria but that after his ‘miracle’, he no longer nursed such ‘demonic’ tendencies.

“I feel very free and calm in my heart; I am totally delivered,”he divulged in his ‘testimony’ subsequently uploaded to YouTube, adding that he now intends to ‘share the good news’ with his fellow Chinese citizens.

Recent months have seen a spike in Chinese visitors to Nigeria for the purpose of pilgrimage to Joshua’s church, with groups equally arriving from Hong Kong, Vietnam, Korea and Singapore.

Tourism experts estimate religious tourism contributes over 3% of Nigeria’s GDP, and official figures

indicate visitors to The SCOAN account for 60% of foreigners entering the nation.scoan, china, tb joshua

According to Wikipedia, the two nations have a rich history of bilateral relations and China is considered one of Nigeria’s most important trading and export partners.

Don’t Sack Any of Your Officials Based on Their Testimonies or Confessions in SCOAN

Julius Maada Bio, Sierra Leone, tb joshua
Julius Maada Bio, the president of Sierra Leone

It has come sadly to our notice in newspapers that the President of Sierra Leone, His Excellency Julius Bio, has sacked his state chief of protocol, Edna Kargbo, following her open testimony at SCOAN Nigeria. Kargbo, like thousands of others, might have come to the Synagogue Church of All Nations in Lagos,  (SCOAN of Senior Prophet TB Joshua), testifying to the goodness of the Lord.

The general public should endeavour to know that whereas such testimonies, especially given at SCOAN, are real and trustworthy and are for God’s glory, they shouldn’t be used to punish individuals giving the testimonies. These testimonies shouldn’t also be used to arrest any of your staff members or tender as evidence in any legal proceedings. They are for the Church and where science cannot explain everything about God’s interventions in our lives, miracles, or the deliverance from shackles of poverty, or the stronghold of Satan. In any case, if God has thoroughly blessed this individual there is nothing any president can do about it, except probably that the president may be inadvertently bringing himself down by refusing to accept the work of the Holy Spirit.

That as it may, it is equally necessary to educate the public about confessions and testimonies at most Living Church of Christ and at Christian gatherings such as in SCOAN Lagos or any of it’s Crusades home or abroad. These testimonies and confessions are what the individuals perceive but truly couldn’t explain why. As far as they are concerned it can only be by some supernatural forces working for them and not their merit. Hence kindly don’t use their confessions to sack them nor use their past to punish them. Even in a multi-religious setting like in Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Ghana, etc, governments shouldn’t intervene in Church matters in issues like this. The government that failed by its internal intelligence mechanism shouldn’t have used the Church as places it could collect negative information on its officials. It is both morally and spiritually unethical.

The public should know and appreciate that individuals that pass through SCOAN’s deliverance processes usually become positively changed persons and more valued resourceful persons. They would normally be able to carry more responsibility, become my reliable, more trustworthy and more dependable. They will have an excellent spirit like was in Daniel, given to them by Jesus Christ.  It is only when these expected changes are not visible in their duties that one could question them. The Jesus Christ we meet at SCOAN, or in any living Church and some are also in Sierra Leone, is big beyond our imagination and can bless not only our sister Edna Kargbo but every Sierra Leonian with bigger testimonies.

Emmanuel TV Growing YouTube Viewers

emmanuel tv, scoan, tb joshua The Synagogue Church Of All Nations, SCOAN, led by the Senior Prophet TB Joshua, is celebrating its growing number of viewers via the Channel for becoming the first Christian Ministry Channel to surpass 500,000,000 views on YouTube. This is a big landmark as one in about fifteen persons worldwide is an Emmanuel TV viewer on YouTube. Those using other television channels or devices could be equally high. The implication is that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is spreading to every nuke and corner of the world.

We thank Jesus Christ for this and congratulate the efforts of TB Joshua, Emmanuel TV partners and the entire SCOAN team. The projected current world population is 7.7 billion. Emmanuel TV has thus become the most viewed Christian ministry channel on YouTube.

In statistical terms, YouTube has become the largest online video streaming website in the world. YouTube is now used by over 1 billion internet users. Therefore, YouTube is having such a significant influence over the web, controlling more than a third of the social media activities, after the likes of Google, Facebook, etc. TB Joshua and his ministries can also be found in those other Social Media platform.

The Biblical significance of this rate of spread of the gospel through social media channel will become visible soon when suddenly Jesus Christ will appear in the cloud and the shout of the Archangels sounding. The spiritual dimension of current events should be of paramount to the society rather than the big numbers and statistics from YouTube.

Meanwhile, it can be seen that Emmanuel TV was a well thought out idea by the leadership of the SCOAN when it started only 13 years ago. It is still by His grace that we are called to Jesus Christ. Even those receiving their calls through YouTube, or directly from the Bible, or a preacher, it’s still by grace. Hence, in whatever level of the “Jesus’ Gospel Field,” we are called to, we must work well. Emmanuel TV is not only serving as a backup of the evidence of the gospel in the  SCOAN but also bringing the gospel closer to us daily.

Prophet TB Joshua and His Critics

tb joshua, scoan
Prophet TB Joshua

This is a post from one of our readings, analysing the unpleasant situation TB Joshua has been experiencing in the hands of his detractors. Hope you enjoy reading.

For many years now, say since around 2003, I have been following TB Joshua very keenly. I first got a glimpse of his ministry on a state channel “Christian Hour Sunday Evening Programme”. The programme is still ongoing for ministries that can’t yet afford to run their private stations like Emmanuel TV that is now 13 years old. The Nigeria Federal Government at that time gave the order to disallow the use of government television stations by ministries like TB Joshua showing miracles. Our impression at that time was that the order was meant to shut up Synagogue of TB Joshua. The organizations that were not disallowed by the government of that day took it till date that they were the right ministries. By extension, they thought that they were the ones “Preaching the True Gospel of Jesus Christ”. But for SCOAN, some of us believe, government opposition (that generated some public doubt in TB Joshua and his ministries) encouraged the birth of Emmanuel TV that is now global. We thank God for using a supposed Christian President wrongly, but with hind knowledge in a way that gives more independence to the Church of Christ in Nigeria in broadcasting.

Yes, many others out there seem to continue to mock TB Joshua and rebuke his ministry for different other reasons, and this is no surprise. We are not even going to compare the present attacks on TB Joshua with the attacks to Jesus Christ and the massive persecution of the early Apostolic Church. It is of note nevertheless that the religious leaders did the same to Jesus in His time. People accused Jesus of being both demonic (Matthew 12:22-32) and a fraudster (Luke 23:11). Yes, they did and eventually cruelly led him to the Cross, thinking they were fighting God’s battle.

Jesus operated in a mono-ethnic and predominately Jewish population. Today the world has hundreds of religions each of which is on a mission of competition rather than seeking the Way and the Truth. This is sadly the current way of the world. If people don’t understand something or can’t achieve a TB Joshua’s standard for themselves then they just have to tear it down. This is more so in a present era of total impunity around the world and the spread of “Prosperity Gospel only”. No ministry wants to go near the demonic world where the End-time devilish anti-Christ forces have their home. They gloss over it, all in the pretext that “False Prophets and Teachers will arise in Latter Days”. Others through their denominational doctrine disallow any manifestation of the Spirit at worship. Their prepared programme is a mere routine of one or two hours of “prayer, singing, dancing, sermon, tithes and offerings, then the grace, till next Sunday”. Anything contrary to this programme receives opposition, just like miracles on a Sabbath day amounts to be working.

We were expecting TB Joshua to conduct his recent Nazareth meeting starting it on a Saturday, but he started instead in a Sunday. Yet the Jews and Arabs were still skeptical of the mission of TB Joshua and his team.

Individuals with one problem or the other can better associate with Jesus because He touches on them directly. Jesus said, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest”. Jesus gave the invitation but those making money from public infirmities turn around to oppose a ministry like SCOAN healing freely. Yes, the poor of the society, disabled, demon-possessed and the devil-chained-down, those who realise they have lost their way, and including others expecting the coming of Jesus Christ the King, all are coming to SCOAN to see Jesus. We are encouraging them to go. My concern right now is the capacity of SCOAN I estimated in 2012 to be only about 30,000. My other concern is “Just a one-man of God” faced with a large crowd every day. I saw it and felt for him.

I’m getting so delighted now that many others, men and women, are coming up with great anointing. An additional test of a genuine prophet is the ability or gift of raising disciples. TB Joshua is doing that. Already some of his “first disciples” have joined the opposition forces and are publishing against their boss. Even within such publications, the genuineness of TB Joshua and SCOAN becomes more obvious. Imagine one who worked ten years in SCOAN, saying miracles are fixed whereas people who just touched Emmanuel TV in their homes have positive results. Christ is alive and working, and this is different from whether TB Joshua is a perfect man or not. You don’t wait till a Samson takes hold of whatever is the middle pillar of your faith and destroy you along with itself. Look for Jesus and SCOAN is a place you can find Jesus also. If you get your healing or any miracle whilst in the UK, USA, Saudi Arabia, China, etc, come forward and say it as a witness that Jesus is alive. Mary saw Jesus after His resurrection and told others, and others likewise, then the Bible.

We have to be desperate in our search for Jesus Christ because He holds the key to life, but we don’t have to be desperate because of our conditions. Established systems or the religious would contend with our faith and offering themselves as alternatives, but by reading our Bible and praying Jesus will reveal Himself and lead us aright. Incidentally, I have found SCOAN as a training ground for Christian leaders, a place for a retreat, a solution ground, of course, a miracle centre, a reconciliation ground, and a place where all Christians and all faiths can meet.

Prophet TB Joshua isn’t just humble but very accessible and allowed some of us to advise him, where there is a need. He is just like one of us but with a given special anointing. We are daily praying for him, just as we pray for every ministry that comes under the control and anointing of Jesus Christ. Hence, I find no reason why people will be critical of TB Joshua other than endeavouring to perfect the work of the man of God. TB Joshua shall be perfect because his master, our own Lord and Saviour, is perfect.

Why Does The Media Always Misrepresent TB Joshua?

On Saturday 10thAugust 2019, I read a report in Zimbabwe’s Herald Newspaper alleging the Southern African nation’s Belgium-based football captain Knowledge Musona was set to undergo surgery for a nagging ankle injury that has dogged his career for several years. My attention was drawn because headlines were rife several months earlier of Musona’s public testimony in The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) in which he stated this ankle injury was healed after prayer at the well-known ministry of T.B. Joshua. Skeptics and cynics understandably capitalized on the news of his ‘impending operation’ to tout their adverse assertions about ‘miracles’ and paint Joshua’s ministry in a condescending light.

Merely hours later however, a fuming Musona took to his Twitter account to debunk the story, reaffirm his good health and decry the lies being unrepentantly peddled in the media. “I am not having ankle problems and I am not having an operation on my ankle! Please get your facts right first and stop writing false articles about me,” he angrily wrote to Robson Sharuko, the article’s author. However, reading between the lines, Knowledge was not the target of this flagrant falsehood – T.B. Joshua was. Musona’s story is just one of countless examples where the media have grossly misrepresented the cleric, choosing sensationalism over soundness, fiction over fact and bigotry over reality.

Last month, I saw a scandalous headline on Google News: ‘How Pastor TB Joshua Raped Me – Another Nigerian Woman Speaks’. The source was PM News, a Nigerian evening newspaper turned online outfit. A quick read revealed a clearly malicious attempt to drag Joshua’s name into the current quagmire of prominent pastors accused of sexual misconduct. The lady in question did not directly mention T.B. Joshua’s name and earlier articles suggested her sexual predator was actually a ‘prophet’ from the Celestial Church.

Merely hours later, PM News retracted their initial story and issued an apology, stating: “The reference to TB Joshua is regretted.” Shortly afterwards, the lady at the center of the scandal, Vicki Royce, tweeted: “Please media, stop accusing pastors. TB Joshua is NOT THE ONE!” She later admitted – after tales of her ‘running mad’ surfaced on social media – that she was ‘paid’ to formulate the story against the Nigerian cleric. But the ‘damage’ had been done. Casual observers glancing at headlines had already formulated ill-informed conclusions and multiple blogs had reposted the initial story with all defamatory details in place. Shortly afterwards, more Nigerian media jumped on the bandwagon to propagate wild claims of a lady named Bisola who made similarly brazen allegations – despite video evidence she previously apologized for her ‘lies’ against Joshua and admitted to mental instability.

Late in June, a work colleague sent me reports from Nigerian media – Premium Times and Sahara Reporters to be precise – that T.B. Joshua’s visit to Nazareth had been stopped due to the volume of local protests by religious figures. Despite this online furore and supposed protestations, I personally watched Joshua’s two-day revival at the Amphitheatre of Mount Precipice live on Emmanuel TV. The meetings were safe, successful and well-attended, receiving even favourable reportage in The New York Times and Reuters. The Nigerian media which trumpeted the apparent cancellation were conspicuously silent.

I equally recall the time media erroneously shouted T.B. Joshua’s name as one of those involved in the Panama Papers scandal that toppled heads of state and prominent figures worldwide. After all the ‘noise’, the exposé was itself exposed and the attendant racket simmered into insignificance. What about the horrific incident in which over 100 lives were lost during the collapse of a building at The SCOAN in September 2014? The media – especially in South Africa – quickly painted the cleric black, propagating a one-sided narrative that the structure was shoddily built and blithely ignoring the existential evidence of external interference. The case has been in court for five years and the legal quagmire drags on till date.

Examples validating this opinion literally abound – from Kenyan media linking Joshua to a gruesome murder case to Ghanaian media claiming he was ‘spiritually manipulating’ their elections to Zimbabwean media erroneously attributing to him prophetic messages he never uttered to UK media accusing him of contributing to those who died with HIV/AIDS after prayer despite no demonstrable link to the individuals involved. I once even heard that a Nigerian journalist at The National Mirror was sacked for writing a favourable report about The SCOAN, contrary to the biddings of his paymaster! But the question remains – what does the media have against the unusual enigma of T.B. Joshua? Why would they willfully engage in propagating or promoting defamatory or derogatory accounts? Why do reports presenting the positives appear so overwhelmingly underwhelming?

Despite his enormous reach and teeming supporters worldwide (records reveal he attracts sixty percent of foreign tourism to Nigeria), the truth is that Joshua still remains a mysterious, misunderstood, misrepresented figure. Even his clerical colleagues who’d you expect to rally around him amidst media attacks – including the likes of Enoch Adeboye, Matthew Ashimolowo and Paul Adefarasin – are among his fiercest detractors. Intriguingly, the cleric himself has chosen the ‘loud path’ of silence, unprovoked and unperturbed by the deluge of disparagements.

While I don’t really understand why Joshua is the subject of such media disdain, let me end by quoting a parable he once used himself in a sermon: “No matter how long a lie is sustained, the truth will someday prevail. No matter how fast a lie runs, the truth will someday overtake it.” I am personally convinced history will paint a truer picture of Joshua’s credibility and consistency, not the jaded pages of fading newspapers.

Musona reaffirms TB Joshua healing, slams false surgery rumours

tb joshua, musonaZimbabwe Warriors’ captain, Knowledge Musona, is not happy with reports claiming that the renowned African Prophet T.B. Joshua did not really heal him as the soccer star once famously claimed, and would now be undergoing surgery in Munich, Germany to finally get cured.

A Zimbabwe based news agency, The Herald, published the fake News on Saturday, August 10 2019, with an image of him testifying at TB Joshua’s church, The SCOAN, in Nigeria.

The article asserted that the very ankle injury he had testified to be healed from could have limited his ability to play at his optimal level during the 2019 AFCON finals in Egypt.

The provoked football captain immediately jumped on his Twitter account to personally let the senior sports editor, Mr Robson Sharuko, know how he felt about his article, debunking its false allegations. musona, twitter, tb joshua

Musona tweeted, “Mr Robson Sharuko, with all due respect, I do not appreciate you writing false articles about me. I am not having ankle problems and I am not having an operation on my ankle! Please get your facts right first and stop writing false articles about me.”

The tweet triggered a heated exchange between the football captain and the editor – who was reluctant to admit that his story was false.

Musona continued the exchange and said, “Stand by your lies; I thought your job is to report the truth? That says a lot about you.” He finally ended the argument with by tweeting that he doesn’t joke when it comes to his career, reaffirming his healing.

The article by Mr Robson seems to follow a trending pattern among journalists who start rumours about TB Joshua to entice attention at all cost.

Exposing TB Joshua’s Deception, Once and for all

tb joshuaThis post was sent to us a few years back, by a writer who had chosen to remain anonymous. He claimed to be a onetime sceptic of TB Joshua’s ministry due to what he was told by his pastor and heard from other ministers of the gospel in the past. He, however, came to the SCOAN to verify the truth for himself and the truth he seeks indeed set him free. We did a little editing on the original article for clarity of reading and understanding.

Having visited the SCOAN to witness things for myself, I feel there’s a need to share my experience. My purpose for visiting was quite different from the lot of people I noticed who went there for healing, deliverance or whatever reasons might have taken them there. As for me, I went there to see first-hand, what sort of a demon TB Joshua was. My pastor and some guest pastors that ministered at our church always tell the congregation during their sermons that TB Joshua is a devil incarnate. He has horns, he is an apostle of Hades, the Anti-Christ prophesied in scripture and others.

The passion with which they always try to convince us was what spurred my decision to visit the church and see for myself. I fasted and prayed for days to fortify myself so as not to be bewitched by the alleged occultist powers TB Joshua used before, I headed for the SCOAN.

I will start with the healing I witness there.

Nevertheless, before falling head over heels for these miracles of Joshua, I ponder within myself what the source of his power was. The Bible warned us of the false prophet using counterfeit miracle, signs and wonders to deceive the people, even the elects the bible said are going to be victims of such deceit.

The healings that I saw taking place there, frankly, there is no normal person in this world that TB Joshua’s healing methods won’t first come as a shock to. With just a wave of his hands, people with different sickness and diseases kept falling to the ground like a pack of cards, in other instances, the movement of his eyes, head and legs made people move uncontrollably against their will to the ground or towards the direction he pointed. I couldn’t help but wonder if this could be God at work? I thought certainly not; there’s nowhere it is written in scripture that the apostles and prophets performed anything close to this. Oftentimes the scripture narrates Jesus using just a word to drive out demons, but here was a man making gestures with his body faculties in the process of delivering the demonized and healing the sick; there is no question as to whether the healings and deliverances take place, it is obvious that they do. Because any person he ministered to, at once profess instant relief and do what he/she couldn’t do before.

While he was busy ministering healing to the diverse illnesses, the most shocking experience for me was when he approached those with the deadly disease of HIV/Aids. Keeping in mind that HIV/Aids has no cure, I was expecting him to offer serious prayers over the HIV patients, but to my utmost surprise he just walked past them (not stopping for even a second) whilst stretching his microphone towards them in a wave and as he did that, they all fell to the ground as though they were struck by the sheer force of a wave. When he walked towards the end of the section they were arranged, he then spoke into his microphone saying: “you are all free”.

I was shivering. Because it goes against everything I was used to. I recall how my pastor used to proclaim a fast and pray for days over asthma and rheumatism, and here was HIV being dispelled in the twinkle of an eye. I couldn’t accept the ease with which he ministered healing and deliverance, or rather couldn’t comprehend it. I saw the joy emanating from those he had ministered to, their hope was restored, and I couldn’t help but wonder why my pastor, in whom I so much believed, said TB Joshua was a wizard clad in blazer suit, massively deceiving people.

I was however still very careful not to quickly conclude on Joshua’s genuineness. I resolved to pray within me. I still wanted to be sure that I’m not already under the influence of Joshua’s manipulation just because of the healings I have seen there. So, I continued with my intensive observation of the proceedings of his service.

I was taken in surprise by another scenario I observed. I noticed that after each miracle took place in TB Joshua’s church, unlike others who used to walk beside the beneficiary as praises were being sung, making them look like the healer, Joshua would walk right out of the scene of every miracle, so that he would not be seen around the beneficiaries. As the beneficiary shouts praises to God for their healings, Joshua will immediately continue with his ministration to others.

A proud man would never do this. In this regard, I gave TB Joshua a high scored. But the thought that keeps coming to my mind was the different ministers that insist that TB Joshua is a false prophet. How can so many ministers be wrong on a subject? They cannot be. Jesus said that where two or more agree, I am in their midst, and here we have well respected ‘men of God’ agreeing over the same matter.

How can God be using only one person to do such an astonishing miracle? There are countless preachers, apostles and prophets, but none of the minister in any way come close to TB Joshua. To be sure, I have seen people fall under the anointing in various churches, but the way it happens in TB Joshua’s church is shocking. Why are other pastors not doing the same works in the same manner? That got me thinking that TB Joshua must be using some means. I held strongly to my stands that this is still likely a fraud.

When it got to the time of prophecy, Joshua moved into the midst of the congregation and began telling them the root causes of their problems and proceeded to deliver them in the power of the Holy Spirit. This was the point I broke down in tears, I couldn’t handle it. The In-depth accuracy of his prophecies was a shocker in themselves, but even more, was how his prophetic messages always pointed people to the root cause of their problem. It was far from the sweet-sounding prophetic declarations I have been used to that usually are not profitable for turning anyone away from sin but are always geared towards what our itching ears want to hear, like imaginary enemies after our progress.

Even after those encounters at The SCOAN, it took me days of prayers and careful study of the scriptures for me to fully convinces myself that TB Joshua was indeed God sent. Besides, it was as though God was speaking to me through everything I witnessed there. After a deep reflection, I realized that only one man cannot just be the devil. There are many false prophets and pastors out there which nobody is talking about, but why the so much focus and energy on Joshua. I concluded that there must be something special about him that the kingdom of darkness is afraid of.

I realized of course that Jealousy must have played a very big role by the rejection and accusations from fellow ministers of the gospel. Especially since they cannot do what God does through Joshua and it looks like Joshua is the only one who seems to be getting much of the world attention.

The Scripture makes us understand that God gives His grace in proportion to the faithfulness of His servants. They want to operate in the same supernatural level as TB Joshua. If I should ask them, do they show mercy and compassion as he does? Do they show love to even enemies as he does? Do they give or care for the needy and orphans as he does? They do not do all these things, they build mansions, buy private jets, acquired large estates thus, turning their back against the poor and yet, they desire a higher dimension of the supernatural grace of God in their life and Ministry.

You cannot be endowed with the riches of His miraculous grace to do signs and wonders when you desire to use them for material gain or wealth accumulation. The scripture told us that he that loves money is a servant of mammon, and mammon is the principality set over material gains and that is the god of them that love the world.

It is heart-breaking that because of the love for the world and money, men who supposed to uphold the gospel have instead continued to pervert it for personal gain and enrichment. The Gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ that is of grace, love, salvation, sanctification, humility, charity, meekness, faithfully and all of God’s goodness, has been twisted to the gospel of worldly prosperity and financial gain.
