Engineer Odang Solomon had been suffering for many years with the problem of degenerative neck disease since 10 years ago, when he fell from a tree. For the civil engineer, the back and neck problems due to the problem became so severe that his career was affected; he could not stand for long periods of time – a major requirement of his job. He went to several doctors, who advised him not to lift any heavy object or even carry his children. Despite several medications, the sickness worsened and he could not lift his shoulders and his feet would go numb all of a sudden, making it impossible for him to walk. This issue got to a point where he fell into depression and thought of taking his own life. However, he discovered Emmanuel TV and saw people receive healing from similar conditions. During his visit to The SCOAN, he received prayers in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Solomon confirmed that after that prayer, he felt a surge of coldness come over him and he felt freedom at last. Today, he testified that he can now do those things he could not do before and is now free to return to his career. He advised all and sundry to trust in the Lord and seek His face so that Jesus Christ’s mercy would locate them.
Pastor Samson Nyangu, from Zambia, testified today of the goodness of the Lord in his life. For years, he had suffered from a terrible liver problem that was severely affecting his ministry; he could hardly go out to minister or pray for people as much as he would have liked to. Determined to surmount this obstacle to his health and ministry, Pastor Nyangu found his way to The Arena of Liberty last week and received a divine touch during the Mass Prayer. As Prophet TB Joshua declared healing and deliverance upon the congregation, Pastor Nyangu felt a sharp prick in his stomach – and he began to vomit poisonous meat-like substances. Since last Sunday, he said, no longer does he feel any pain in his stomach. Addressing pastors specifically, he advised people to humble themselves before God and His anointed servants.
Rebecca Ayodeji Akeresola came to The SCOAN to thank God for the completion of her studies at the University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. Rebecca never did anything without her best friend, the New Morning Water, which she always ministered on her examination papers before submitting them. During her national youth service, Rebecca applied for a fully funded scholarship as many others students did. Through her prayer with the Morning Water, she secured admission on a fully funded scholarship at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences, Rwanda, where she will be resuming next week. Appreciating what God has done in her life, Rebecca advised all youths not to doubt God: “Never doubt God’s desire and ability to help you. Be careful of those who can negatively influence your life.” Her mother, Mrs Akeresola Oluwasola said: “It can only be God who has chosen her among the multitude of people.”
It was a family stigma that had caused much embarrassment for Mrs Jenette Yula from Canada. The problem of bedwetting had hindered her social life. She would excuse herself early when visiting friends, not wanting to stay over and disgrace herself by wetting their beds. Her matrimonial home was also affected as her husband would go to another room, leaving her to sleep in the bedroom alone.
The evil spirit behind her bedwetting sat on her success as even getting a job was a battle – rejection became the norm. However, last Sunday at The SCOAN, Mrs Jenette Yula together with her children and mother who had suffered the same fate all received their deliverance from bedwetting! She testified that for the first time when she slept and woke up, she found that the bed was dry. The giant man that she would normally see in her dreams also took to its heels and the bad dreams of seeing herself urinating in the restroom is a thing of the past. “I am free! Me and my family, we are free!” Her mother also testified that she was also among those whom the generational curse had affected as well as Jenette’s children who testified to the experience of waking up to dry sheets – no more bedwetting. To God be all the glory!
It’s being long we received this article from the person concerned, we kept it to verify the authenticity of the story, Read and be blessed.
It was very hard for me to comprehend what life had to offer to a man like me facing all sorts of problems, limitations and hardships which made me look like a living dead, little did I know all these numerous and uncountable problems were due to the treacherous way I lived my Christian life in the past. I went through a lot of difficulties during the early stage of my life which still makes me shake my head pitifully during my reminiscence.
I reside at Garki, Abuja in Nigeria where I grew up presuming T.B. Joshua as a false prophet, deceiver, scammer and even the devil’s incarnate. All these attributed to the man of God made me develop a deep hatred towards him without really finding out the truth or even knowing what exactly made me hate him so much with passion. I used to involve myself in anti-T.B. Joshua discussions, discouraged Christians and even unbelievers to never watch the man of God on Emmanuel TV and I went as far as publishing many articles online and in local newspapers with a sole aim to blaspheme and counter any single thing concerning T.B. Joshua.
As if these were not enough, I partnered with some locals that heard the same thoughts with me about T.B. Joshua and we kept on spreading this negative gospel as much as we could. During this time, we noticed that the more we blasphemed, the more the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) kept on increasing with an alarming congregation and the man of God’s anointing ceased to stop increasing drastically; this was a mystery to us. It made us confused and stunned but despite this fact, we continued criticizing SCOAN the more and this was a great battle. When many years passed, I decided to give up the fight but I never stopped believing the man of God was false. I never tuned to Emmanuel TV and I vowed to never take even a glance at the channel.
The tragedy of my life commenced when I lost my dad and mum in an automobile crash on the 23rd of March, 2014 and this made me ponder over how my siblings (a set of twins – a young boy and girl) and I would make ends meet; I am the eldest child therefore I decided to take responsibilities. I am far older then my siblings because it took my parents 16 years to give birth to another child after I was born. Back then, I was into trading of building materials- Tiles, ceiling, roofing sheets, cable wire, steel rods etc. I faced a lot of challenges during this period and felt like committing suicide. My business was not moving forward and I was finding it difficult to pay my suppliers. My younger sister (one of the twins) became very ill therefore I had to rush her to the hospital, the doctor told me she had leukemia a very deadly disease especially to a girl of her age (she was just 11 years old).
When my appalling problems persisted, I decided to take a bold step; I went to a friend of mine pleading for assistance, but his unimaginable response was what increased my problem. He told me to come along with him to his private room which I eagerly did because of my desperate search for money; surprisingly I found myself in a tunnel looking room which was an inner chamber filled with splashes of blood stain all over the wall. This initially made me scared but I summoned up courage because of my despicable situation, he then told me all what I sew in that room at that time were his source of wealth. I was startled but kept calm; he proceeded by asking me if I was ready to accept the terms he was about to give me? I answered affirmatively without hesitation. He then smiled and poured a yellowish liquid on my head which looked more like he was embarking on a demonic cult initiation process. He asked me many weird questions to which I answered affirmatively without even thinking about the consequences. One of these questions was this: “do you vow to worship the walls of this great fraternity no matter what comes?” I still answered with a loud yes to this question.
I was so eager to make money without knowing I had just added to my problems immensely. I started seeing demonic creatures chasing me in my dreams because of this demonic initiation; my days were filled with acute pain and sometimes I felt my heart was about to drop. After my initiation, my financial life was still down and as a result of this; I had no penny not to talk of taking care of my sick sister and her starving twin brother. I went back to my friend who initiated me to explain things to him but he told me the abominable, he asked me to do the appropriate thing which he said was to kidnap an underage girl, a virgin for a spiritual ritual. He said after the rituals I would finally become rich and I won’t see those creatures in my dreams again. He also said if I choose not to perfume the rituals, there was nothing he could do for me; when I tried to tell him I was no longer interested in his evil cult, he threatened me severely and told me not to try quitting the cult nor tell anyone about it. He told me that if I tried to go against his warning, I would die immediately. I became very scared, then I immediately left his house and ran to the doctor to ask about the status of my younger sister, he told me she was very weak and would die soon if I didn’t provide the necessary finance for her treatment.
THE MOST INTERESTING PART OF MY LIFE
I ran from one place to another searching for solutions to my problems but never found one, I went to friends and relative I knew in the in the F.C.T but none could help me with the required amount of money I needed to pay my sister’s medical bills. One day, I sat hopelessly in the hospital thinking about what to do next; I had no source of immediate finance and this made me very worried. Until a God sent nurse saw me in my poor state and decided to ask me what was wrong with me. I explained all my problems to her and was expecting her to assist me financially; she just talked to me about TB JOSHUA and advised me to watch Emmanuel TV. She told me that my solution lied in the SCOAN but I found this extremely hard to believe due to all I had done in the past. This made me initially reluctant but I finally decided to take a glimpse at the channel (Emmanuel TV). As soon as I tuned to Emmanuel TV, what I saw caught my attention; I saw someone being delivered by T.B. Joshua from a condition worse than mine, the person was suffering from severe poverty coupled with sleep apnea and asthma. This encouraged me a bit but I doubted because it could be a stage performance; I started contemplating about visiting the SCOAN as I was clearly not convinced about the happenings in the SCOAN. After much thought, I decided to come to the SCOAN to find out for myself the truth about T.B. Joshua. I never came to worship but came to see for myself if he was a real Prophet of God or a sorcerer.
MY VISIT TO THE SCOAN
Since I could not pay my sister’s medical bills, the hospital management later asked me to take her home; for it would be better she died at home. After taking her home, I left for Lagos and that was a week and two days after my encounter with the nurse, who advised me to go to SCOAN to see if the anointing there could help expose the evil powers behind my continuous failure, limitations in progress and restore my Sister’s health. I travelled by land which made my journey stressful and hectic, on my way to the SCOAN, I almost encountered an accident which made me doubt the more about my awkward coming to the SCOAN. When I arrived, I lodged in a nearby hotel to rest my head in anticipation for the next day because I was anxiously waiting to see the SCOAN finally and find out for myself all what I had been hearing from people.
The next day which happened to be a Sunday I finally came to the SCOAN and that was the first time I entered the church. When I entered the Church auditorium, I thought I would find the horns of the devil and the sacrifices people had brought for sanctification in the church as I believed but what I saw was different. I saw a lot of frame containing Jesus and His disciples in the church’s ceiling and the beautiful altar of the man of God well decorated with grasses, rocks, a pool of pure water and fruits of different kinds. The building was no respecter of persons; no matter how rich or successful a person is, once you are inside SCOAN you look just ordinary. I liked that very much but I was not totally convinced until I saw the man of God live for the first time. Immediately, I felt the awesome presence of the Holy Spirit. What struck me most were the long hours we all endured in the presence of the Almighty; I enjoyed every moment of that experience.
I was seating at the new comers’ section; I sat with my fingers crossed as the Man of God moved around the new comer’s section. The Prophet moved towards me and told me he would like to speak to me, I felt uneasy and reluctant because of my past but I finally allowed him to speak to me. He started prophesying to me and he was very accurate; he told me about my past which comprised blasphemy, my cult life, demonic attacks and financial problem. Hearing all these, I was perplexed; in fact, words could not explain how I felt at that spot.
He prophesied about my sister’s illness and declared her free of her illness; he also prayed for me. While the prayer was on, I just saw myself more like in the spiritual realm fighting with the demon in me. I finally won the demon I saw within me and found myself on the floor, I jumped up immediately and cleaned myself up; the man of God declared me free and congratulated me for my deliverance. I was really amazed when I saw for myself the man of God accurately prophesying to the congregation and the Prophets ministering healing and deliverance to the sick ones and the demonic possessed.
I was opportune to meet with the man of God in his office, there in the office, I apologized to the man of God telling him about the way I blasphemed him in the past; he just stopped me immediately and with humility and told me that the demon in me who was responsible for all my bad acts was gone and that I was free from my sins. He advised me and told me to go and sin no more. The man of God financed me and gave me the new set of anointed water to take back home to administer it to my family and loved ones.
When I got back to Abuja, I met my younger sister who had been seriously sick before I left for Lagos already healed; what surprised me was when I saw her playing around with his twin brother and other children in the neighbourhood. After all these, I had all reasons in the world to believe the man of God is not only authentic but also from the MOST HIGH GOD.
All these were still a mystery to me while I sat at home and reminisced my encounter with the man of God Snr prophet T.B. Joshua and also how he helped orphans, less privileged people, widows and how he gives scholarships to students who are in desperate need of help. But what I find very funny is how people just decide to blaspheme without checking their own physical and spiritual life. Many people that blaspheme today are even worse than the people they criticize; and I can tell them that they are simply fighting a lost battle.
Therefore, I came to a strong conclusion that it is wise to let readers know how delicate and deadly it is to criticize any prophet, church or even religion because you will never know where your problems are coming from and where they would be solved…Thanks!
By Stella Wood
A stirring tale of glorious hope shining amidst the dark chasms of despair, of seperation and shame transfromed to unity and peace, of loneliness and homelessness replaced with life and love. Because God was involved…
Beyond the burdening, burgeoning bondage of homelessness, Mr Kefa Olatunji Taiwo had strayed slowly into the hazardous realms of hopelessness. At 60 years old, his family had scattered, any shred of dignity or self-worth left battered – his life in total tatters. Living in a bedraggled and dishevelled excuse for a shed, scantily assorted from stray aluminium and rotting wood, he had dwelt and dealt in the refuse grounds of Lagos, Nigeria for over three agonising years, surrounded by the repulsive stench of decay and debris, and the degrading stigma of a lunatic-like existence. Suicidal tendencies crept increasingly closer…
Living amidst the rubbish…
He suddenly halted before him, sensing something strange.“You are the one I am chasing.” Kefa looked up, astounded, dumbfounded. “Where is your family? Everybody is scattered in your home – and you are sleeping under the bridge, as an elderly man.” Extraodinary. His life-story unfurling uncannily from a man he had never encountered, a man he had never explained his predicament to. “You are getting old, an old man sleeping outside – and the family are scattered. Do you know where your problem comes from? This is what your mummy was telling you. The little money you had, you were going out – sometimes in the night you will not come home. You would take girlfriends. The little you had – you spent it just like that. This has destroyed you, destroyed your career.” How did he know? Whom had he told? “Something happened to you before this thing started. You met a mad woman – you never knew she’s a mad woman, and you slept with the woman. This is where the problem comes from. Today, when you sleep you see animals.” “Exactly, sir”
When Mr Taiwo walked dejectedly into The Synagogue, Church of All Nations in Lagos, Nigeria on Sunday 30th August, unbeknown to him was the unfolding of a divine design to break the chains of poverty and restore the bonds of unity within his crises-fraught family. The prophecy took him by surprise. It was so sudden, so direct, so precise. Pastor TB Joshua narrated his life to him, a brief 30 seconds of breath-taking revelation, a concise uncovering. As he was led through the beautiful sanctuary, a flame of hope licked within his veins. Could it be a way out had actually come?
Just imagine, just consider… what do you have to give?
The following week he stood again before the vast SCOAN auditorium, clips of his ‘home’ broadcast to the world live on Emmanuel TV. Evangelists had accompanied Taiwo to establish the veracity of the prophecy. The crowd gasped, beholding a dank wasteland with pigs scavenging among the filth, dirty infected water up to the knees, slime and grime at every turn. And a human being lived there, slept there, ate there, amidst the clutter and litter of decomposing garbage and gunk. “I’m useless,” the former furniture maker told the evangelists. “I just have to go and hide myself here when it is night. This is a shameful place, but I have no alternative – that’s why I have to stay here, living here as a mad man,” he said, explaining how local hoodlums had burnt his only property to ashes, forcing homelessness upon him.
Accompanied by his estranged wife and 11 children, all suffering a similar fate, Mr Taiwo watched on in reflective silence. “I believe if this man is helped, he will not go back to his past life – because he has tasted suffering and hardship,” said TB Joshua, addressing the whole congregation. “And I know if blessing comes now, he will be able to maintain it. Sometimes God uses foolish things. Don’t be surprised that among these children may be the president of tomorrow. Remember the past history, remember the heroes – many of them were raised from this kind of humble background,” he explained. “The first step is to get accommodation for the family, so we can bring the family together and let them live as one. To liberate these children, we must give them scholarships. And those who want to learn a skill – we will give them that opportunity.” The pastor, famed for his unrivalled and unbridled philanthropic works, explained that if the youths were left to themselves, they would probably end up in armed robbery or prostitution out of frustrations irrationalising influence. “Give them N300,000 and five bags of rice.”
Join TB Joshua – Let’s Make Poverty History
Tears of shock and joy escaped from beneficiaries and congregants alike. Never before had Kefa seen or touched such money. “I didn’t expect this. Thank you, sir,” he quibbled, words failing to form his heart-felt expressions of gratitude. “This is what we are born for, this is what we are to live for, this is what we are to die for,” smiled the prophet, ascribing all glory to God.
“Someone out there is waiting for you for a lifetime,” Joshua counselled the enthralled audience and viewers worldwide. “You cannot afford to fail them; failing them is failing God. Remember, God is speaking to you through them, saying: ‘They are fatherless, so that you can be their father.’ ‘They are lonely, so that you can be their companion.’ ‘They are in want, so that you can be their benefactor.’ ”
One of the girls that Mr. Obunike introduced to this illegal practice was Chidinma, a Nigerian polytechnic graduate. After duping numerous men and taking money from them, Chidinma realised that her Whatsapp number was blocked and decided not to follow others to the hotel location because of this. Little did she know that the police had raided the location and all the girls had been arrested and imprisoned. Scared by this, she appealed to Mr. Obunike, who had declared his intention of marrying her. Together they ran away back to Nigeria and came straight to The SCOAN.
It was during the Sunday service that God located them through a message of prophecy that there was a man who had come with a prostitute that he wanted to marry. After the prophecy and deliverance in the power of the Holy Spirit, Chidinma advised girls like herself: “This is not a job; it is devilish work.”
In the cause of trying to take God away from the scene and elevate the created (science) above the creator, the secular world has made us believe that anything that can’t be handled or proven scientifically cannot be true. Thus, erroneously made science the supreme knowledge of the truth. Whereas, science is just a fragment of true knowledge and facts.
According to the Oxford online dictionary, Science is defined as “The intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment.”
What is important to note in this definition is that Scientific facts or knowledge are based on observation and experiment from the physical and natural world.
How then can one place that which is of only the physical world as the supreme knowledge? They fail to realize that even mankind is first a Spirit being before is physical appearance. Remember that our physical body is like a house where the original spirit man dwells in.
Since the medical scientist is only concern about our physical and natural body, what about the spirit man. Who will treat the spirit man when it is infected or afflicted? This is where the supremacy of Faith above science comes in. Remember that it is the spirit that controls the physical and the natural world.
Now, what is Faith?
Faith is based on spiritual conviction or heavenly precepts. Faith is spiritual, but the effect can be seen or evidence in the physical. In Its role in knowledge, Faith encompasses knowledge from the immaterial (invisible) into the Material (physical) world.
It is correct to say that scientific discovering is as a result of Faith.
This may be hard to digest because the kingdom of this world has blinded our eyes to the reality of God’s power.
That is why it was not surprising when the Anointed Water that was sent by Prophet T.B. Joshua as requested by the government to bring about divine healing and stop the spread of Ebola virus that ravaged the nation of Sierra Leone in 2014 was confiscated by some persons who were ignorant of the reality of God’s healing power.
Mrs Fatmata Kargbo, the then Permanent secretary in the ministry of foreign Affairs in Sierra Leone, revealed in her testimony on Emmanuel TV that the south-east region of the country where the Anointed water was permitted to be ministered was cleared of the diseases within one month. She remarked, had it been the Anointed water was permitted to be ministered in the whole region; the disease would have been eradicated long ago.
Our God is a jealous God, whatever you try to elevate above Him suffers. Science will only continue to break through more barriers in discovering when it is kept in its rightful place, that is under God. Once you place it above God, it will in time lost its relevance. Every scientific field needs God to fulfil its full potentials in our world.
The ministry of Prophet T.B. Joshua is a testament to the proof that science is not the ultimate as it is being exaggerated by the secular world. Scientist and specialist that are sincere know that science is not the ultimate of all truth, facts and knowledge. knowledge goes beyond our natural and physical world.
What fact those a scientist has about a homosexual that was made straight after a tough from God. What about a sickness that will take a doctor eight hours to do in the operating room, will take God’s Prophet to do within seconds and the healing will be so perfect when compared with one that went through an operation room.
I am not trying to diminish science, but we need to place it where it belongs. This is the only way it can be more useful to our world. Faith and science need to work together. Even if both need to be ranked, Faith has to come first. Because Faith represents God and God is more superior to everything.
Let’s accept this truth, for it to be well with us.

Nigerian Prophet T.B. Joshua has just concluded a two-day event in Nazareth, the historic hometown of Jesus Christ.
The event tagged ‘Nazareth Meeting With TB Joshua’ was held at the Amphitheatre of Mount Precipice, a site of Biblical significance for Christians.
Thousands of international pilgrims flocked to the event in Northern Israel from over 50 nations, which was additionally broadcast live on Emmanuel TV and local Israeli television in Arabic and Hebrew.
Several prominent personalities and political figures, including the Tanzanian President John Magufuli – who was represented by his wife Janeth – were in attendance.
“I feel humbled walking in the footprints of Jesus,” Joshua told the multi-national crowd, stressing that it was “God’s design” for Jesus to come from Nazareth, which he described as “the morning of Christianity”.
In a heartfelt sermon titled, ‘We are known by our love’, the cleric spoke on the divine significance of love.
“What makes us human is not our ability to think but our ability to love. This means love is life and if we miss love, we miss life,” he exhorted the crowd, emphasising that love must be unconditional.
“If you want to love better, you should start with someone who hates you, has bad feelings towards you, who sees nothing good in you,” he stressed.
Continuing his message the following day, Joshua called on all present to “love one another irrespective of our religion or race for love comes from God”.
According to the cleric, “Love for fellow man breaks down all barriers; it melts all hindrances. Love has ears to hear the heart. It dissolves prejudices, misunderstanding and suspicion.”
Speaking practically, he added, “If we are able to overlook the failures, mistakes and weaknesses of our neighbour, then there is genuine love because there is no perfect man on earth.”
After his exhortation, the cleric began to pray individually for the thousands present at the free-entry event, many who came with various infirmities and sicknesses in hope of a miracle.
Li Gul Chua, who travelled from China, testified that she could walk freely without crutches for the first time in six years after Joshua prayed for her.
Many fell to the floor at Joshua’s touch, immediately rising to declare they were healed or delivered from ‘unclean spirits that tormented them’.
As the event neared completion, the cleric collected an offering to support the Nazareth area, further explaining how the choice of the Amphitheatre of Mount Precipice to host the unique meeting unfolded.
“I visited here three years ago and I saw this place was abandoned,” he explained, showing clips of the unkempt area, overgrown with bushes during his first visit.
“Given the Scriptural significance of this place, I was moved to contact the Mayor, Ali Sallam, and ask his permission to renovate,” he continued, stating this was Emmanuel TV’s “contribution to the place where Jesus’ father and mother came from.”
Joshua also referenced the opposition from some religious figures that accompanied the announcement of his visit to Israel, which intensified in the days leading to the event. “Even though there was rancour, it was an act of God,” he submitted.
He called on the foreign pilgrims present to make Nazareth their “second home”, encouraging them to “visit places such as hospitals, schools and other areas that need your attention and show love because the love we give away is the only love we keep.”
“This is the first time in hundreds of years we have heard the name of Jesus proclaimed publicly in Nazareth,” Pastor Hadad, a Nazarene, emotionally commented, underscoring the significance of the event in the volatile, predominantly Muslim region.
“I used to see Jesus as just a story from history we used to attract tourists,” Itay, an Israeli tour guide, bluntly stated. “Today, I saw – through T.B. Joshua – that the name of Jesus actually has power.”
News of the event reached international media, with coverage in The New York Times, Reuters and Israel’s leading newspapers Haaretz and Jerusalem Post.

A star witness, Architect by profession, has told Justice Lateef Lawal Akapo of the Lagos State high court that the Synagogue church of all nation (SCOAN) guest house which collapsed a few years ago had no sign of stress, crack or diffraction before it went down.
The witness Mr Dayo Olatunbosun Fabiyi was being led in evidence at the resumed hearing of the matter by one of the lead counsel to Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Mr Olamilekan Ojo (SAN).
Fabiyi, who holds a first degree in Architecture and a master’s degree in environmental design all from the University of Lagos is also a volunteer worker and maintenance Engineer with the church.
As a volunteer maintenance engineer, Mr Fabiyi had the privilege of inspecting all the building in Synagogue church on a weekly basis including the collapsed guest house.
The witness told the court that he inspected the particular guest house between 8 am and 9 am on the fateful day it collapsed.
Another witness Mr Ebenezer Olumide Ologuntoye also insisted that the guest house did not collapse as a result of a foundational failure.
Ebenezer, a civil engineer, had earlier told the court that the building foundation passed a geotechnical test based on the investigation conducted at the site shortly after the building collapsed on September 12, 2014.
He made the position clear before the Court while he was being cross-examined by the lead counsel to Lagos State Ministry of Justice, Dr Babajide Martins, who was trying to use the opportunity to drag the witness with technical questions, but the civil engineer and geotechnical expert maintained his ground, adding that samples of the soil at the site were tested in two different places and the results favoured the church that the foundation was in order before the incident occurred.
According to him, similar work has been done by him on behalf of Lagos State government during the Lekki garden collapsed building case.
The third witness of the day was the current head of data management Nigeria Meteorological Agency (NMA), Mr Jimoh Olusegun, who tendered the true certified copy of the temperature of the year the incident occurred before the court and was accepted by all party.
The report includes a certificate of compliance. It also contained the maximum and minimum temperature from month to month in respect of Lagos State in the year 2014 when the incident occurred.
The defendants had argued that a strange Military aircraft flew over the building multiple times on September 12, 2014, before the building collapsed.
By early Sunday afternoon, thousands of international visitors and locals were already streaming toward Mount Precipice, just outside Nazareth. They were of all ages, races and nationalities.
En route to the mount, an Italian painter named Lady Gioconda showed off a huge oil painting of TB Joshua that she had made as a gift for him. She had never before attended one of his events, nor had she ever been in Nazareth before. But she believes the Prophet will bring her the fame she seeks.
“He’s a super, super, super prophet,” she said, adding that she needs him in her work.
The crowd included Israelis, some of whom, like some visitors from other countries, were flying their country’s flag. A few even brought shofars.
A regular member of the church that Joshua founded, the Synagogue, Church of all Nations, said she came from Nigeria because she needed to strengthen her connection with Jesus. She had the feeling that this will be special, she said.
People from Haiti, Tanzania and the Czech Republic were eating watermelon together; all professed excitement. One, a priest from Tanzania, expressed the hope that they all feel Jesus there.
Many people were shading themselves from the sun with umbrellas bearing the name of the Gold Line appliance company. The umbrellas cost 20 shekels ($5.50). The watermelon was expensive at 50 shekels, but a glass of lemonade sold for just eight shekels and visor caps went for 15 to 20 shekels.
A Czech woman who is studying agriculture and economics said this was her first time in Israel, and she was excited to be at Mount Precipice. A Czech engineer said this visit will accomplish two things at the same time – meeting Joshua and visiting the holy site.
Kebela Ele of Botswana said her husband had left her for another woman and wants a divorce, which she does not wish to consent to. She brought the divorce papers to Israel to pray for divine intervention.
A German woman recounted seeing TB Joshua in England earlier this month but came to Israel to see him again. She loves him, she said. Asked what she was praying for, she said she would like to marry someone wonderful.
Ruth Gershonkopf of Ashkelon said she came “to get a new spirit from God.” She has a 10-year-old daughter who was in an accident at the age of 6, she explained with tears in her eyes, and she herself has cancer. She is hoping Joshua can help her daughter and keep her cancer from recurring.
One Tanzanian man wrapped himself in a tallit, a Jewish prayer shawl. He isn’t Jewish, but he loves Judaism, he explained, remarking that Israel is a wonderful country.
After the audience had enjoyed a gospel choir and songs in Arabic, in addition to a rousing rendition of the Hebrew song “Od Yavo Shalom Aleinu” (“We will yet have peace”), a Russian-speaking couple ascended to the stage with a baby. Through a translator, they told the audience that the woman had suffered six miscarriages; another child had died at birth. The child they were holding on stage was born after a meeting with Joshua, and the woman is also pregnant again.
Do you want a miracle too? the emcee asked. Yes! the audience roared back.
Another man got on stage and related how God used the Prophet to cure his stomach ailment. Thank God! God be praised! the audience shouted, clapping thunderously.
A woman said she had been an alcoholic who hated her daughter and beat her. But now, she loves both the girl and her husband. The husband, an Israeli, said he had gone to Nigeria and come back a new man.
Based on the published schedule, Joshua should have already made his appearance. Instead, the choir got the audience dancing and waving their hands in the air with songs about love for Jesus. Most of the audience sang along.
One of the singers exhorted the audience to raise their arms, love God and pour out their hearts so he could touch them. Another woman translated her English exhortations into Hebrew for the locals.
People who came to be healed
At the side of the stage, a screen featured live scenes of audience members falling to their knees, vomiting blood or even collapsing on the ground. A woman from Joshua’s television station who accompanied reporters explained that these were sick people who had come to be healed. The photographers didn’t spare the audience graphic close-ups. Israeli Magen David Adom emergency medics stationed in the crowd didn’t seem to know quite what to do.
TB Joshua finally ascended the stage almost two hours late. After telling the audience that Jesus and his mother, Mary, had come from the area, he recited verses from the New Testament. The thousands of people in the crowd were utterly silent. The only sound aside from Joshua’s voice was the faint call of the muezzins from Nazareth’s mosques.
He then left the stage to circulate among the crowd. He approached one man who began trembling uncontrollably. He physically touched people and gave one woman a light push. She fell to the ground.
The television crew gave the microphone to a woman with a neck brace. Joshua touched her. She sounded as if she was choking for a few seconds, but then removed the brace, raised her arms and expressed thanks to Jesus.
Next up was a disabled girl who stood up and began walking after Joshua touched her. She wept with excitement. The audience cheered.
And so it went, one after another, until sunset. Some of the people he touched screamed in ecstasy. Others went wild. The captions on the screen at the side of the stage explained that evil was leaving them. The audience watched in silence.
An Israeli security guard expressed the desire that TB Joshua touches him, too.
A woman from Vienna left the event in rapture, proclaiming that the God of TB Joshua had cured her.

The more you love God, the more you love your neighbor! You cannot love God without loving your neighbor. Your neighbor can be those who do not share the same faith as you. How many of your neighbors are on your daily prayer list? Can you stand in the gap for them? Can you rejoice when they rejoice? Let us love one another irrespective of race or religion, for love comes from God. Whoever does not love does not love God, because God is love.
Like rivulets trickling down the cottage rack, a stream of heads was bound to converge on Wednesday, June 12 on the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) headquarters, located in Ikotun-Egbe, Lagos. The motley crowd, assuredly, is largely to be composed by peasants, the physically challenged, widows, and several others, who are in want. They will gather to felicitate with the founder of the SCOAN, Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, to mark his 56th year birthday. Assuredly, the visitors will all smile home.
A human deluge is anticipated this time round, as Joshua’s birthday coincides with Democracy Day-a day recently declared as public holiday by the federal government, in remembrance of the annulment of 1993 presidential election won by the late Chief M.K.O Abiola.
Joshua, whose genre of Christian evangelism is stupefying in its streak of stunning miraculous deeds, is arguably Nigeria’s most travelled preacher, as, according to inside sources, he had visited no fewer than 60 countries across the world.
But beyond evangelism, fresh revelations have also shown that the cleric has an irrepressible obsession for charity works, as he commits a huge chunk of the church’s resources to catering to the need of the less-privileged, both in Nigeria and outside the country.
Going through the latest publication of “The Emmanuel TV team”, a charity emblem of SCOAN’s television station, the man of God, as Joshua is fondly called, may have spent a conservative N2.1 billion on charity efforts, in the last four years.
In SCOAN’s latest publication entitled, ‘Reaching out to a troubled world’, the bearded prophet, who hails from the little community of Arigidi in Akoko North-East Local Government area of Ondo State, had on the surface, spent a total NI.I billion on donations to the tribe of the enfeebled and the poor across the world, apparently between 2014 and 2018.
But according to Mr. Ifeanyi Ugochukwu, an adherent of the SCOAN, “that amount would have doubled in view of the fact that, if The Emmanuel TV team is travelling to any part of the world to help those in need, it is the church that pays for all expenses, covering flight tickets, vehicle renting, hotel accommodation, feeding, and others.”
Ugochukwu added that in most cases, T.B Joshua himself leads his humanitarian team to, sometimes, very remote parts of the world, without recourse to the inevitable challenges that a new-comer is bound to face.
For instance, in 2014, Joshua was in Colombia where he donated US$100,000 (about N35 million) in support of those who were widowed, orphaned or wounded in the service of the country.
Musing on how imperiled this country was, at the time of Joshua’s visit, the publication states, “After his crusade, T.B Joshua and the Emmanuel TV Team visited a less-privileged area in downtown Camil, to meet hundreds of single parents and their children.
“Many of them (Colombian peasants) succumbed to social and economic pressures, entering a life of drugs and prostitution and were in dire need of assistance.”
Around the same period too, The Emmanuel Team was in Mexico and later, Pakistan, bringing relief to those widely famed as the wretched of the earth. According to the publication, “The Emmanuel TV Team was in Chiapas, Mexico, to share the love of Jesus Christ with the indigenous and isolated tribes who live in the Lacandan jungle.
“They are largely gatherers and farmers, and the team purchased items ranging from foodstuff to essential utensils and tools for life in the jungle, to take care of the Naha community and improve their quality of life.”
In Indonesia, T.B Joshua also brought smiles to the faces of those in the rehab of the homeless, with some mouth-watering contributions. “Following his crusade in Indonesia, T.B Joshua visited the House of Love, a charity home established to take care of the homeless and rejected people, in Surabaya. Overcome by emotion, Mrs. Hana Ananda, the charity home’s founder, tearfully prayed as T.B Joshua and his team presented a sum of US$10,000 (about N3.5 million) in support of the charity work,” the publication recounts.
The Emmanuel Team, within the four-year duration of 2014 to 2018, also visited the Haborovski region of far eastern Russia, to visit The Open Heart Homeless Project’s location, where more than 150 men and women were fed and housed every day. In that region, frostbite often claims the limbs of many, owing to extremely low temperature. There, the team provided hundreds of pairs of winter gear, essential foodstuffs and firewood to help protect the homeless from harsh winter conditions.
In nearby Ghana, T.B Joshua is also reputed to be a household name, going by his various contributions to elevate the standard of the less-privileged in the country. For instance, the man of God donated hundreds of bags of rice to support the Ghana Prisons Service in feeding inmates. He also recently gave various gift items to Krachi West District Hospital in that country. Meanwhile, way back in June 2015, during a devastating flooding in Accra, the Ghanaian capital, the cleric’s humanitarian team had promptly responded with relief items comprising 1,000 bags of rice, cooking oil, soap, mattresses, pillows and other relief items worth over US$40,000 (about N14 million).
However, Joshua’s contribution to the Ghanaian humanitarian needs reached a crescendo when he donated operational vehicles worth $US140,000 (about N49 million) to the Ghana Police Service.
Joshua’s team was also recently at the Mountain Ministries Ranch in Washington, USA, being a facility set up to rehabilitate those recovering from drug and alcoholic addictions. There, he donated sums in thousands of dollars to the inmates. Gary Miller, founder of the ranch, who got a cash gift of $2,000 (about N700,000), simply leapt for joy, the publication recalls.
In the inglorious era of Ebola disease scourge in Sierra Leone too, Joshua’s Emmanuel TV Team was on hand. Then, T.B Joshua reportedly chartered a plane, loaded it with anointing water (for spiritual healing) and sent the sachets with a cash donation of $US50,000 (about N17.5 million) to bring succour to the Ebola victims.
This is besides the fact that the cleric has permanently instituted a culture of restoring victims of human trafficking, especially as it pertains to Nigeria, his home country. The man of God, the publication adds, has always been there for Nigerians trapped in the Libyan serfdom, who yearn to return home and live a free life. In the last three years, his SCOAN has been home to many Libyan returnees who keep testifying to how Joshua brought them back to Nigeria and not only gave them financial and material supports, but also ensured that they were resettled to live a normal life. An insider in the SCOAN, who would want his name under wraps, told THISDAY that this singular effort had gulped as much as N300 million.
As for the virulent Boko Haram insurgency that had claimed many lives, especially in the Northeastern part of the country where hundreds of thousands were displaced, the Joshua team had reportedly spent several millions of naira to fend for the victims. Of note, as recalled in the SCOAN publication, was the cleric’s recent N10 million donation to support inmates of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in New Kuchingoro, Abuja. His humanitarian efforts, it was also learnt, were carried to the heartlands of crisis-prone areas in Borno, Jos in Plateau, Adamawa, Yobe, and Kaduna.
Indeed, his Ikotun-Egbe community which is his host in Lagos, has reportedly been having chummy moments courtesy of the cleric’s rare act of generosity. “When our electricity transformer got burnt recently, we simply smiled, knowing T.B Joshua would rise up to the occasion, and he did not let us down”, said Mr. Adeyinka Yinusa, a resident of Bolorunpelu settlement in the Ikotun-Egbe area.
Meanwhile, T.B Joshua’s Arigidi hometown is particularly enlivened by his display of the prosaic aphorism that “charity begins at home”. The community, it was gathered, had been in darkness for close to four years as a result of vandalism brought to its electric cables and transformer. When told of the cost implication by his community leaders, T.B Joshua reportedly sent N20 million across. Today, Arigidi is enjoying electricity supply.
Commenting on the gesture, the Special Adviser to the Ondo State Governor on Public Utilities, Mr. Tunji Ariyomo, said, “What T.B Joshua did is commendable and worthy of emulation by other well-to-do indigenes of Ondo State, as by his act, he has complemented government’s efforts in ensuring that electricity supply is brought to all rural communities in the state.”
Meanwhile, an inside source in the SCOAN has explained that Joshua’s source of income in giving back to the society “is a simple arithmetic, born out of God-given heart of generosity.”
“The man of God does not collect money from anyone to obtain prayer or miracle; but once God meets you at the point of your need, and you come with money to show appreciation, he would immediately set aside a reasonable percentage to charity works, to meet the needs of the less-privileged members of the society,” the source enthused.

As Prophet T.B Joshua clocks fifty-six years on his sojourn through this earth today, the Prophet’s towering status in Christendom cannot be wished away by mere birthday wishes. The enigmatic man of God deserves to be reminded that his crusades against the dark forces of our existence have attained immortality in the minds and hearts of those who truly understand the teachings of Jesus Christ, especially those based on the concept and mystery of love.
The cardinal essence of Christ’s mission in the world was to bring love to a frail and condemned humanity, which led to His eventual death on the cross, even when He had earlier mustered the human nature to resist that fatal saga.
Prophet T.B. Joshua’s concept of Christianity best exemplifies the foregoing Christological epistemology. In a world where many men of God are at daggers-drawn against one another, the humble, Arigidi-Akoko-born cleric has maintained that soldiers of the Kingdom must not be divided against themselves. He has refused to join issues with any pastor or ministry, even in the face of malicious criticisms. Instead, he has always deployed love and the dignity of eloquent silence, as instructed by Christ Himself.
Aside his innumerable works of charity within and beyond the shores of Africa, Prophet T.B. Joshua’s ministry is perhaps the only Christian ministry that does not discriminate against other faiths, knowing that Christ Himself came to save the entire world and not a portion of it. During Sallah celebrations, Muslim faithful visit his church to celebrate with him because by his very unbiased and non-partisan nature, he has broken every stricture that tends to instigate the barriers of tribe, ethnicity, race and religion against humanity.
In his world-view, love is supreme, just as it remains the greatest commandment. This explains the reason behind his untiring giving nature. He reckons that any man of God propelled by the spirit of love would not want to amass all the material things of this world to himself while the population of the needy keeps swelling by the day.
Other well-meaning men of God should continue to think about others more than themselves. It is anti-Christ to preach the Word to the needy without providing for them what Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State fame would call ‘stomach infrastructure’. Jesus Himself provided ‘stomach infrastructure’ when he fed five thousand people distracted from hearing his sermon by hunger.
Religious leaders are hereby enjoined to feed God’s flock not with the Word alone but with those other human needs that may hinder them from concentrating on the Word. At 56, Prophet TB Joshua’s pragmatic exemplification of the spirit of love should be a rallying point for all Kingdom crusaders to win the war against the dark forces of this earth.

The distinguishing factor for such people is that even when they seem to fall, they get even stronger in spirit and never fail to forge ahead
From infancy the traits of greatness are always very clear to see in such people for those who can truly perceive.
For such people, a clear vision, dedication, commitment, hard work and an unwavering commitment to God is a defining virtue. It does not really matter what their background may look like, the unique goal they have set for themselves is always the driving force.
For those who God has obviously created for a mission and are able to realize that early enough, the grace to excel is ever present.
Indeed, for Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, popularly called T.B. Joshua, his life and impact on humanity could be likened to great book, each with an interesting chapter. This is in view of the fact that this great man of God is many things personified-apostle of our Lord, Jesus Christ, hope to millions of hopeless people globally, teacher, chorister, philanthropist, author, father of millions, hope personified, succor bearer, friend of the poor, a gift to this generation and more.
His church, Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) singularly brought Ikotun-Egbe once considered a jungle to prominence on the world map due to its impact on that neighbourhood.
This is because it’s coming to that environment was such that the big and mighty across the globe started trooping to that axis for spiritual healing.
With this came a major boom for the economy of Ikotun and its environs as millions of businesses sprang up to key into the great opportunity.
Hotel and allied business received a major boost, earning millions of dollars due to large numbers of foreign visitors trooping into Nigeria from across the world.
It was not for nothing therefore when hoteliers shouted from the roof tops that government should save their businesses when some people tried to take advantage of the controversial building collapse at the church to pull down TB. Joshua. This is instructive. SCOAN, Joshua’s church is on record as “Nigeria’s biggest tourist attraction and the most visited destination by tourists in Africa”.
The Federal Government had in the recent past through the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) acknowledged that six out of every ten foreign travelers coming into Nigeria are synagogue-bound, raking millions of dollars into government coffers in the process. Using technology which has made his job very impactful, Joshua has continued to reach all the nooks and crannies of the world like never before.
His church’s television channel, Emmanuel T.V, through which he preaches undiluted word of God is the world’s most viewed channel on YouTube.
One of the striking things about this great preacher of the word is that, not only does he emphasize holiness, he is never tired of preaching about the importance of love and giving, which he says are essential messages of Jesus Christ.
He even takes it further by practical demonstration, which is exemplified in action from time to time in different parts of the world.
Even Joshua’s critics acknowledge that he has no doubt demonstrated that he is number one friend of the poor around this clime. From the abundance that God has given him, the Prophet has reached out to millions of people from far and near, most of whom are not members of his church.
He has even taken it further by making his members toe the same line of giving to the needy in the society.
According to him, this was a major message of our Lord Jesus Christ and needed to be done to give hope to hopeless in the society.
Aside this, Joshua continually teaches that there is love in sharing because whatever God has given us does not belong to us alone.
It is therefore not surprising that SCOAN distributes lorry loads of food stuffs regularly to the needy in different parts of the country.
Though he has his own share of challenges like every human being, this great televangelist is a man not ready to be consumed by negatives. This he clearly demonstrated as a child with what seemed like a hopeless future.
However, his strong conviction which was sharpened by his early connection with the Bible opened his eyes to the words of God and marked a major mile stone in his life.
This no doubt is one of the things that confounds his detractors as they never fail to wonder where he gets the strength to rise when they think he has fallen.
Even Forbes, the famous international magazine had in 2011 described Joshua as third richest pastor in Nigeria, though the church did well by debunking the report.
The magazine must have relied on the Prophet’s philanthropic activities which covers many areas including scholarship, health, sports and more as the basis for this. For instance, Joshua’s church was reported to have sponsored a Nigerian student for a PhD at Oxford University in 2012 to the tune of one hundred thousand pounds, same for thousands of others sponsored from primary to university levels, locally and internationally.
This was aside providing over five hundred thousand dollars worth of humanitarian aid to victims of earthquake in Ecuador in April, 2016. The Forbes report however has its positive side as the report suggests that Joshua has a huge financial war chest. The truth of it all is that Forbes was only acknowledging that Joshua was expending so much in an assignment he is carrying out so diligently.
Other widely respected international magazines have also named him among the world’s most influential personalities.
However, it is a thing of joy that nobody has linked him with purchasing private jets and needless show of wealth in a nation so blessed, but with so many poor people. Also, he has not claimed to be far more popular than anyone, though the local and international media will not let him rest because of his ever-growing popularity.
Curiously, this is a man who rarely travels out of Nigeria to other parts of the world, yet has his presence felt in far distant places and loved by many who have never come across him, thanks to technology.
Even though his Arigidi-Akoko birth place may not feel his physical presence, but the people take pride in his touching their lives through regular support over the years through infrastructural support.
T.B. Joshua’s story is that of grass to grace and his people are excited that he is making them proud around the world, a feat for which they cannot but thank God. Indeed, what the T.B. Joshua story teaches us are multi-faceted.
First, his life teaches us that God is the ultimate decider of our fate and in Him we must put our hopes and aspirations. Even Joshua practically demonstrated this by getting closer to God, using the Bible as a compass to navigate his future at a tender age.
Secondly, when God elevated him, he remained level-headed and demonstrated practical teachings of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Thirdly and most importantly, he has raised and is still raising leaders of the word to join others in raising Godly men to the glory of God and benefit of mankind. As he celebrates yet another milestone, on June 12, 2019, here is wishing the man in the Synagogue, Prophet T.B. Joshua, a happy birthday.
