Little Girl Has Shocking Vision of Jesus In TB Joshua’s Church

TB Joshua Ministries (February-06-2020) “JESUS IS COMING SOON .

The video of a 12-year-old girl who had a ‘vision’ of Jesus Christ during a midweek service at TB Joshua’s popular church in Lagos has gone viral.

During a service known as the ‘Living Water Service’ at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) in which congregants come forward to receive water they believe to be anointed, immediately after receiving her water, a young girl suddenly cried out and gesticulated wildly.

“There is a Man there; He is tall! He is wearing a white garment,” exclaims the girl who later identified herself as Gift from Anambra State.

According to her, He said, “Repent; I am coming soon. Bring people to My church; bring more souls.”

Gift then narrated how she witnessed angels and 24 elders “bowing down and singing, ‘Holy, Holy is the Lamb’.”

Throughout this period, Gift’s eyes remained closed as she vividly expressed that “His face is shining” and “the light is too bright”.

Suddenly, the young girl crumpled to the floor and appeared to ‘awaken’ from the trance. Bemused at the attention surrounding her, Gift began crying as she recounted again what she had just witnessed.

“On His head was a big crown and He was sitting on a throne,” she recounted, adding that she saw smoke surrounding the Heavenly scene she witnessed.

The young girl was shocked that no-one else saw what she had seen so vividly.

“People are going on the wrong track; we should bring them back to the Church,” she emotionally pleaded, adding that she needed guidance from Pastor TB Joshua on why she would be the recipient of such a stunning revelation.

“There is no excuse for being surprised by the uncertainty of coming events,” Joshua stated on YouTube when posting the viral clip.

“The uncertainty of the hour of Christ’s return calls for vigilance and watchfulness. Let us not wait for another sign from Heaven to convince us of the paramount importance of making the most out of life today because only today is our own, tomorrow is not.”

The clip has been watched over 400,000 times since being published to YouTube and Facebook yesterday.

This is not the first time for someone to have had such a revelation as several months ago, a lady – who said she was a sceptic – also stated she had a vision of Jesus during a similar service at Joshua’s church.

PROPHET T.B. JOSHUA AND THE WORDS OF EVANGELIST ANGELA

BY Femi Fani-Kayode

tb joshua, scoanI watched an inspiring, courageous, brilliant and highly anointed young American lady by the name of Evangelist Angela deliver a powerful and earthshaking message about how Christian’s persecute other Christian’s in Nigeria and the importance of Church unity and Christian solidarity last Sunday.

I watched it on Prophet T.B. Joshua’s Emmanuel Television and it was preached at the SCOAN Headquarters in Ikotun, Lagos.

The message, which was titled ‘The New Wave of Persecution’, was really gripping and it also touched on how T.B. Joshua himself had suffered injustice and persecution over the years. I urge every believer to go to YouTube and listen to Angela’s sermon because it was not only deeply profound but also utterly inspiring.

There were however a few things that she left out which, in my view, ought to have been included. For example the fact that Joshua had his American visa cancelled in 2014 as a result of wickedness, envy and intrigue after the horrific bombing of one of his Church buildings which sadly resulted in the death of many of his members.

It is sad to note that not one Church leader expressed his or her condolences or comisserations to the Church or the Prophet after this tragic incident despite the massive loss of life. Instead it was the leaders of the Muslim community in Nigeria, including the Sultan of Sokoto and many Emirs, that did so!

Sadly, as if that were not bad enough, it got even worse! Some heartless Church leaders went as far as to petition the American Embassy to cancel the Prophet’s American visa and used this terrible incident as their excuse and attempt to justify it!

They did this even though it was clear that the collapse of the building was not as a consequence of any wrongdoing on his part but rather as a result of a brutal act of pure evil and premeditated murder and terror by those who wanted him discredited and his Church closed down.

It took the intervention of members of the American Congress, the State Department, numerous American Ambasadors, members of the American diplomatic corps and numerous American consular officials to resist the conspiracy and to ensure that his visa was restored.

I spoke with Prophet T.B. Joshua after listening to Angela’s message last Sunday and asked him why it was that he did not expose all this to the public in 2014.

I also asked him why it is that he always keeps quiet, refuses to defend himself and says nothing when faced with the unrelenting, shameful and relentless criticism, misrepresentation, false allegations, vilification and persecution that he has suffered from other Church leaders over the years.

This is all the more so given the fact that, in my view, such criticisms are borne out of nothing but pure envy.

He told me that he believes in the unity of the Body of Christ and that he did not want the Church to be divided hence his silence over the years.

He kept emphasising the fact that in order for us to succeed as Christian’s in Nigeria and save souls there must be love between and charity between Christians and Church unity. I was moved by his words but I must confess that I was not too happy about them.

The kind of insults, false allegations, fabrications and wickedness that this great man of God has been subjected to over the years by others is simply unacceptable and had he been a lesser man it would have broken him.

If God had not been with him he would have fallen long ago but instead he is going from strength to strength and his ministry has had a greater impact than that of any other Nigerian preacher in the international community.

From South America, to South East Asia, to the Korean peninsular, to Israel, to Europe, to Africa and to North America he is respected, revered and loved and his impact in terms of preaching and spreading the gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ has been extraordinary and outstanding.

I have decided to write a book about this great man’s remarkable and inspiring life, his struggles, his challenges and the sort of things that he has been subjected to over the years very soon.

I will also expose the fact that the blowing up of his SCOAN Church building in 2014 was one of Nigeria’s most heinous and terrible acts of terror and I shall expose those who I believe were behind it.

T.B. Joshua is a humble, gentle, reticent, forgiving, kind and patient man who refuses to join issues with his detractors and enemies and who instead focuses on the work that God has called him to do.

I respect him immensely but I must confess that I do not share his disposition or inclination to say nothing when others seek to destroy and drag down. If I were in his shoes I would have hit them back long ago!

I guess that the fact that he has refused to do so is what makes him so special and so much better than those of us that can be best described as lesser mortals.

I am proud to call him my friend and brother, I wish him well in all his endeavours and I pray that the entire Body of Christ in Nigeria, together with our highly esteemed and reverred Church leaders, will have the humility, presence of mind and courage to learn from his shining example and Evangelist Angela’s inspiring message of love, peace, solidarity and unity.

TB Joshua In South Sudan, Leads President in Prayer for Peace

Respected Nigerian Pastor TB Joshua was personally received by South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir Mayardit during a visit to the East African nation in which he led the President and government officials in prayer for peace.

In the morning of Tuesday 12th November 2019, the President and First Lady welcomed Joshua upon his arrival at Juba International Airport, alongside government dignitaries and an ecstatic crowd of locals.

President Mayardit was joined by his Vice President, James Wani Igga, and a host of other senior government officials as the Nigerian cleric addressed the nation at the Presidential Palace.

“Time has come for us to put our differences behind us,” Joshua told the thousands of South Sudanese who gathered to hear his message.

“This is the voice of God. Our leaders should overcome their division and agree to work together for the good of the country,” he insisted in the address, which was televised live on South Sudan’s official broadcasting channel SSBC.

Joshua stated that “peace has no price”, adding that he resolved to visit the nation despite its reputation for ‘instability’ stemming from the civil war that has raged for almost six years.

He further described the South Sudanese as “intelligent, hardworking and ambitious people”, explaining how he came across them in every country he travelled to.

“Let us overcome our divisions and allow them to come back and develop their fatherland,” he passionately counselled.

“The issue of this nation is spiritual. We need to tackle it spiritually,” Joshua further admonished, stressing that his message was ‘from God’.

“If I am a prophet, this will not go without fulfilment,” he boldly declared.

Joshua then led the troubled nation in prayer for peace. “Have mercy on the nation. Let the leaders and citizens of South Sudan obtain Your mercy. Thank You for Your compassion and forgiveness,” he prayed, joined fervently by the President and his people.

In his short remarks, President Salva Kiir Mayardit stated that he believed the coming of the cleric would signal a new beginning in the nation.

“We have come a long distance searching for peace. Now that the man of God, Prophet TB Joshua, has come to South Sudan, I believe peace is at the corner,” he declared, adding that the cleric had ‘done his job’ and the onus was now on South Sudan’s leaders to do theirs.

After the address, Joshua – accompanied by his wife Evelyn and led by a large convoy of South Sudan’s military – visited the President’s personal home and prayed with his family.

TB Joshua, who wields huge levels of influence due to the popularity of his Christian television network Emmanuel TV, made a similar journey to Tanzania four years ago where he was received by President John Magufuli, who describes the cleric as his ‘mentor’.

Other African Presidents to have visited his popular church in Nigeria include the late Ghanaian leader John Atta Mills, former Malawian President Joyce Banda and Liberia’s President George Weah.

South Sudan, the world’s youngest country, has been in the throes of civil war since 2013 after a fall-out between President Mayardit and his Vice President Riek Machar.

Multiple reconciliatory efforts have been made to restore peace, including a visit to Pope Francis in Vatican City where he famously kissed the feet of both leaders.

Exclusive: Inside the Synagogue, Church of All Nations — one of Nigeria’s biggest tourist attractions

tb joshua, scoan
The SCOAN

Nigeria is home to a couple of megachurches that have evolved into self-contained cities, providing services like electricity, water, accommodation and good roads to members and visitors.

One of such religious organisations is The Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) which is regarded as the most visited destination by religious tourists in West Africa.

The Maravi Post got a chance to visit this global pentecostal denomination and found a bakery, automobile service area, 5-star restaurants, lodges and even a makeshift zoo.

“Good morning” is the first thing I hear as soon as I get to the Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN) in Ikotun-Egbe, Lagos, Nigeria. It is founded by Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua.

I was there on a special invitation from the church to appreciate what God is doing to his children across the global through the healing power of Prophet TB Joshua

It is ranked 11th out of the 97 tourist attractions in Lagos state on the popular travel platform.

I hear this greeting again as I step into the waiting area where I spot a television airing a service on Emmanuel TV, a Christian television station founded by the general overseer commonly known as Prophet T.B. Joshua. It has over 1,000,000 YouTube subscribers.

Hearing this for the second time piqued my curiosity since it was clearly afternoon, no longer morning, by the time I get there. I turned to ask a member of the church who says that this phrase is used regardless of the time of the day. “We greet according to the promises of God,” he explains.

This ‘prophetic greeting’ is based on Psalm 30:5 — “For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” (KJV)

A day inside this popular megachurch

I’m still mulling over this interesting greeting when I’m led inside by someone in the media department. Outside the church looks pretty amazing but inside leaves me awestruck. SCOAN is built with impressive stones, wood and beautiful stained glass windows. It also has a beautifully lit fountain behind the altar and portrayals of the last supper.

SCOAN is so huge, it looks like something from a game or movie set. Reportedly, a Sunday service attracts a minimum of 150,000 attendees every week and the building (empty at the time except for a few staff) looks capable of sitting this many people.

I’m taken upstairs to the media room then downstairs to the church-owned printing press. SCOAN publishes its pamphlets and books including the four written by T.B Joshua. It also has a supermarket close by.

The second part of the tour begins when I’m taken outside to the other side of the road. This part is outside of the main church but it still belongs to SCOAN. Here, you have the bakery, medical section, a gym, 10 ambulances in the automobile service area, two kinds of accommodation — one for average guests while the high end, complete with an elevator, is reserved for important guests like celebrities, ministers and even presidents.

This section also has an area for the children and a zoo with dogs and a couple of exotic birds. I’m told that the Man of God likes to spend time here. As I’m led out of the compound, I notice a couple of tents. My guide tells me that this is the overflow reserved for the thousands who are unable to sit in the main church.

According to the Nigerian Immigration Service, six out of every ten foreign travellers coming into Nigeria are bound for the SCOAN. Reportedly, the church attracts more weekly attendees than the combined number of visitors to Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London.

“About two million local and inbound tourists” visit The SCOAN annually, The Guardian reported a few years ago. They all flock to the church to see the Man of God who has made a name for himself with his prophecies and by ‘healing’ everything from Cancer to AIDS.

He appears rather humble, almost shy as he takes my hand and introduces himself. We exchange a few words before I’m led away by the guide who proudly tells me about how down to earth his Man of God is. My tour comes to an end when I’m taken to one of the church’s 5-star restaurants. Here, I notice once again that all the TVs are only showing services from the Emmanual network. I wait here until my ride comes.

The Prophet TB Joshua effect

The SCOAN founder came out of nowhere and slowly turned his small ministry into a mega-church with its own self-contained city run on funds from his members and people who believe in him.

SCOAN has had a strong effect on the surrounding area. All the parts leading to the church have people selling life-sized portraits of Prophet T.B. Joshua. Hotels, restaurants and other establishments around the area also enjoy business from the thousands that flock the church every other week.

This explains why many stakeholders in the tourism sector fought against Prophet T.B Joshua’s proposed relocation to Isreal in 2017 arguing that Nigeria would lose billions of naira.

Mrs Ime Udo, the Vice President of the Nigerian Association of Tour Operators (NANTA) told pressmen that “Religious practices both under the auspices of Christianity, Islam and traditional practices have in no small way contributed to the development of tourism in the world.

“The local community; hotel operators, food vendors and others around SCOAN must have benefitted from tourists. SCOAN has, no doubt, contributed immensely to the tourism profile of Nigeria with several heads of government from various African countries that had visited there to seek spiritual restoration and advise from Pastor TB Joshua.”

Commenting on the relocation rumors, a hotel operator named Anthonia Chuks, told the press that it would have a negative effect on the hospitality business in that area and the state.

“Ninety–five per cent of guests that lodge in hotels in the community are international and local visitors outside Lagos and they are SCOAN members. We have over 130 rooms and are always fully booked every weekend. We usually enjoy huge patronage from Fridays to Sundays weekly; and they are mostly SCOAN members from near and far,” she explained. The preacher has remained in the country.

Over the years, the Man of God has become one of the wealthiest preachers in Africa with an estimated net worth of $10 million — $15 million according to Forbes.

Apart from his ministry, he is well known for giving over $20 million to several causes in education, healthcare and rehabilitation programs for former Niger Delta militants. Since he has no known business, it is safe to assume that this comes from his ministry, which is tax-exempt in Nigeria because of its charity status.

To critics who say these big churches should be taxed, pastors argue that the charity work done should exempt them.

T.B Joshua: A permanent fixture in the Lord’s vineyard

tb joshua, scoan
Prophet TB Joshua

Since the early 90s when Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua popularly called T.B Joshua’ s fame was on the ascendancy, he had always been trailed by one controversy or the other, but like a Phoenix that regenerates from ashes, he had always come out of those controversies, stronger. Not really for one day did his popularity waned. I recall that in those early days, one of the major issues that confronted the Prophet in the Synagogue was his source of power. The speculation then was he had some extraneous powers that had aided him in all the miracles that the church was known.

Indeed, some even whispered to those who cared to listen that T.B Joshua could never be heard calling the name, Jesus, thus confirming the fact that he had other powers behind him rather than that of the Almighty creator of the heavens and the Earth. To feed these speculations, it was said he had a place in the marshland of Egbe where even angels fear to trod. The marshland, incidentally, was where the ministry took off, a story of a humble beginning. That lie fizzled out because it had nothing to feed on. It died like others before it.

The story also came up that T. B Joshua got his powers from India and some ancient Asian countries. That also fell flat as one wondered why those who gave him the power could not wrought those miracles in their country or the source from where the power came from. The story went on and on because his was a phenomenon that defied human explanation.

I recall that as a cub journalist, my first contact with him and the Synagogue was borne out of fear which later turned out unfounded. At one of our Editorial meetings, a colleague who lived around the same axis as the church’s location had arrived the office breathless that Monday afternoon. He had a story to tell. On the way to work, he had sighted a horde of policemen around the church and was not sure what they were up to. The Editor had queried why he did not stop to find out and do a report. His response was indicative of the unfounded rumour that surrounded the Synagogue at the time. He told all of us in the Editor’s office that he could not do the report because of the unpalatable stories he had heard; that anyone that did a report on T.B Joshua would develop mental illness and probably end up a patient of “Yaba on the left’ or a tenant of a similar enclave in Aro, Abeokuta. Of course he could not substantiate what he said, he was only adamant on one point – no amount of persuasion would take him to the church to do the report.

Whether due to foolhardiness, ignorance or courage, yours truly decided to take up the challenge. After several visits to the church a very comprehensive report about the church and the man in the church was done. After the publication, I have never had cause to visit a psychiatric hospital.

But the Society was not done with T.B Joshua. The ‘war’ came from the Christian fold, most of the men of God forgot the teaching of the Bible, they judged, forgetting judgement is the Almighty’s. They more or less ostracised T.B Joshua. But he seemed to thrive on such adversities. The church that the ‘blind’ seers predicted would soon fold or would not last is still waxing stronger almost three decades after their carnally -inspired predictions.

Today, if you are talking religious tourism, the name that readily comes to mind is T.B Joshua’s and the Synagogue Church of All Nations in Ikotun-Egbe, Nigeria. The church can be described as the biggest religious tourism destination in the whole of the African continent today. The Nigeria Immigration Services (NIS) said six out of every 10 foreign travellers coming into Nigeria are Synagogue bound. The popularity of the church has led to more flights coming into Lagos from within and outside the country. Domestic visitors to the church come from far-flung places knowing they were bound for the solution to whatever problems they came to present. In and around the church location, businesses have also sprung up, thus empowering more local businesses and their owners. There are hotels around for those who are not Lagos residents. Restaurants and stores are equally making brisk businesses.

His teaching and preaching is not only feed for the soul, the physical is equally fed. Philanthropic gestures in places like Haiti after a devastating earthquake, Indonesian poor and the downtrodden, Mexico and Colombia are among the countries that have felt his touch of philanthropy. Nations have honoured him. In Israel, he is a spectacle who is accorded, symbolically, the donkey ride into Jerusalem. The red carpet is ever laid for him during any of his visits. He had even been urged to establish a religious presence in that country with land already available for that purpose. During his visit to Dominican Republic in 2017, he was accorded the royalty treatment. He was met at the Las Americas airport by the leadership of that country. It was a carnival like atmosphere. By the time he ended his crusade about three days later, Dominica stood still. And to appreciate him, he was honoured with the highest award in that country by the parliament.

Consequently, the accolades in the last 30 years, from a humble beginning to the present growth, spreading the gospel and providing succour in all corners of the World, have made something poignantly clear, T.B Joshua is a permanent fixture in the Lord’s vineyard. He can never be wished away.

THE SCOAN LIVING WATER SERVICE: THE TRUE LIVING GOD IN ACTION

The greatest trick the devil is pulling lately is to convince the world that Jesus Christ in the person of the Holy Ghost does not exist that is, He is not alive. The devil doesn’t want us to know that there is an incredible power of God in action and the awesome benefits of God which people are experiencing in the Synagogue Church of All Nation’s Mountain of prayer. Another thing very high on the list of things the devil doesn’t want you to know is that; he will try to make you doubt such things which are Biblically authentic.

But today, Prophet TB Joshua through the power of God has continually proven beyond any reasonable doubt that Jesus is alive, and He is the Son of the Living God. The good thing about this is that God himself has decided to open the eyes of the few visitors during the mountain of prayer service, for them to see the Heavenly Being operating in the mountain of prayer.

Satan and his demons have been trying, by all means, to deceive people in believing that Prophet TB Joshua is an evil man and as such they lack the capacity to ponder the truth of God’s word, which says that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever and for those who trust in Christ, the strategy of the enemy is to confuse, frustrate, discourage and even steal the truth of God that has been already deposited in their lives, and ultimately attempt to mar the image of the SCOAN as well as that of Prophet TB Joshua. In this regard, the enemy construct a spiritual stronghold in the hearts of both believers and unbelievers

Often time, it starts with bad experience, offence or an evil attack or hurt by the enemy himself which lead to their heart becoming a fertile ground for the planting of seeds of lies and on this foundation, the enemy begins to build slowly but surely, a wall of deception, lies, wrong ideas about SCOAN and Prophet TB Joshua. The enemy goes on and feeds them with erroneous and distorted information about the Church activities like deliverance and healing. Unfortunately, immature Christians usually buy into these lies and agree with the enemy, thereby gaining control of their hearts in such a way that they end up defending lies and not the kingdom of God. Their perception is distorted in a way that they are unable to differentiate between lies and truth.

2 Corinthians 4:4 says, “The god of this age [a reference to Satan and his demons] has blinded the minds of unbelievers so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” Satan strategy in the lives of those who haven’t trusted in Christ, is to make sure that they remain in the dark so that they can say what is happening in the mountain of prayer is fake and as such, they will never go there and experience the presence of God.

Be that as it may, it is a fact, which, unfortunately, cannot be denied; that some of God’s people are his worst enemies. By their coarse and wretched lives, they drive away many from the truth even before they have the opportunity to see the miracles of God. But thanks to Emanuel TV, YouTube and other platforms; unbelievers are starting to see the truth. That is why on 27th September 2019 history has been made when we saw more than hundred thousand of Nigerians from different churches in Nigeria as well as other Christians from around the world flocking to SCOAN for a free mountain of prayer service. As usual, this has disturbed TB Joshua’s critics and persecutors. We feel sorry for them, May God forgive them

Interestingly, there are some people today who are still refusing to go for healing and deliverance at the SCOAN, simply because their thoughts have been distorted. They call themselves Christians but on the other hand, they suffer from spiritual poverty and as such deny themselves God’s blessings which are freely available in SCOAN’ mountain of prayer.

They behave like a man who was trapped in the fire but refusing any assistance sent to him, saying that he is waiting for God to come and rescue Him until the whole house is engulfed by fire. He burnt to death and when he reached heaven, he asked God, “Lord, why did you not save me? I believed you with all my heart. God responded, “I sent you all the necessary help and you refused them all. What else could I possibly have done for you?” Like it or not, Prophet TB Joshua is a true servant of God sent to us and to deny the power of the Holy Spirit operating in the mountain of prayer is to deny Christ. What I am trying to say is that; God has outwardly done His part by blessing us with the prophet of our days but yet we refused to partake from the promises of God, which God has laid before us in the presence of our enemies. The question is; why do people decide to settle for darkness, destruction while the healing, deliverance and blessing of God are on the table for free?

Brothers and sisters, I want you to know that Almighty God has blessed Prophet TB Joshua with an elevated platform so that he can be a help for those unspoken for and the oppressed. He has been divinely empowered for the advancements of the kingdom of God because our God is a God of nations and will often raise individuals to intercede on behalf of the greater masses, who are in bondage. Prophet TB Joshua has been blessed so that He can become a blessing to others. He has been granted a platform with a greater blessing so that he can be in a position to speak for those whose voices cannot be heard, the oppressed, and the captives and no one can change that

In (Genesis 12:3) it is written that “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse, and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” Those who believe in the God of Prophet TB Joshua will be the ultimate beneficiary of God’s blessings. In other words, it’s not about Prophet TB Joshua and his family, but it is about the neighbours that Jesus said we must love, the needy, orphans, the poor and everyone else. That is why Prophet TB Joshua does not take credit on the works of God; he is not even present in the mountain of prayer. He is also going to the mountain of prayer for his blessings. Do yourself a favour and honour the invitation of God, don’t reject God’s grace. Those who reject the grace of God have been warned In Numbers 14:11, when the Lord asks Moses, “How long will these people spurn Me? And how long will they not believe in Me, despite all the signs which I have performed in their midst?”

The chapter shows that people who repeatedly reject God’s grace may cross the line of no return. God is gracious and patient, but at some point, His judgment will fall on those who persist in unbelief. A person may repeatedly turn his heart away from the good news of Jesus Christ until he reaches a point where he is hardened beyond remedy. Proverbs 29:1 warns, “A man who hardens his neck after much reproof Will suddenly be broken beyond remedy. “Healing, deliverance and blessing are available in SCOAN, and only those who don’t harden their hearts will benefit

God’s promise of salvation for everyone is for Him to be glorified among the nations. The problem with the people of the world, like the Israelites, is that that they do not believe in the Lord and His promise to give them the land of Canaan (Num. 13:2; 14:11). They do not see that, God ‘want to deliver them from the bondage of satan for the salvation of their souls.

Let me remind you that there are temporal and eternal consequences for those who reject God’s salvation. In Heb. 3:12: it is written that “Take care, brethren, that there not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God.” Apostle Paul telling us that like everyone else you may be going through some difficult trials and tribulations, but this should not be your reason for not believing in God’s miracle, because this would indicate that you have an evil, unbelieving heart and to turn from Christ back to the world would be to fall away from the living God! If you do that, you will not enjoy the many blessings of knowing Christ in this life.

But today, some people called themselves Christian and yet don’t believe in the miracles He performs. Outwardly, they profess to be obeying God but inwardly rejecting him, contradicting indeed. They stand in their high places and criticise Prophet TB Joshua and yet the Prophet is not the one touching people in the mountain of prayer. They allow themselves to be misled and attempt to save themselves by trusting in themselves and their leaders and this is the main reason they will miss God’s offer of free grace through Jesus Christ.

The Bible is clear that God will bless those who trust His promises and follow Him fully. Jesus is talking to the world, he is using Prophet TB Joshua to show us that He is a living God, a miracle-working God and those who believe in Him will be saved. According to Apostle John, Thomas was not present on Easter Sunday evening when Jesus appeared to the other disciples and devoted followers (John 20:24). And regardless of what they said, Thomas refused to believe that Jesus had risen till he saw Jesus with his own eyes (John 20:25) — a declaration that earned him for posterity the unflattering title “Doubting Thomas.” Thomas’s doubts may have been humanly understandable, but they were not commendable. They were sinful, as is all unbelief (Romans 14:23). Finally, a full week after Easter, Jesus appeared when Thomas was present and said, “Put your finger here and see my hands, and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.” (John 20:27). Thomas’s repented and said, “My Lord and my God!” (John 20:28). Then in John 20:29) Jesus said: “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed” (John 20:29).

Children of God, here Jesus’ is telling us that others had not yet seen Him, but still believed in his resurrection and as such their believing was more blessed. This means that those who rely on their eyes of faith more than the physical eyes will receive the promised blessing of God. Glorious, inexpressible joy comes not by seeing Jesus now, but by believing in him now. You don’t have to see Jesus in person in the mountain of prayer for you to believe, just believe in his presence in the mountain of prayer and you will experience his touch. Even if you are watching on Emmanuel tv, connect with faith and He will touch you

Like the woman who testified on Sunday, 29th Sept 2019, she has confessed that she never believes in what is happening at SCOAN. According to her, everything is arranged and as such fake. But because we serve a God of grace, the Holy Spirit arrested her and led her to the mountain of prayer where she experiences the unexplainable, indescribable encounter with Jesus himself. He always did for the others, Jesus forgave her unbelieve and graciously restored her. Jesus used her unbelief, to reveal to her who is behind the miracles in the mountain of prayer. Jesus made her a gracious example for all of us who suffer from spiritual poverty and use the physical eyes to see instead of eyes of faith. So If you find that you are spiritually blind, I mean; your seeing of Jesus is impaired, Thomas is teaching you not to declare, “Unless I see I will never believe,” but rather say, “I believe; help my unbelief” (Mark 9:24).

My friends, without an accurate knowledge of who Christ is, you just are not going to be drawn to him. The study of “Christian evidence” is one of the crying needs of our time. There is a lot of evidence of Jesus’, healing and deliverance in SCOAN. Those who turn from the truth of God, or reject the Holy Spirit as a source of power and love in their lives, have denied Christ. All Christians must study their Bibles to learn what Christ taught and then to put it to practice in their lives. So please, if you do not know the spirit powering a person, do not open your mouth to rebel because you might be rebelling against God who you falsely claim to be worshipping. Reject the lies that the enemy has planted in your heart and trust in God

Lastly, I want to encourage you, beloved brothers and sisters in Jesus name to visit the SCOAN and freely experience the presence of God in the mountain of prayer. I repeat, IT IS FOR FREE, NO REGISTRATION FEE, you just need a free heart, a hear free of unforgiveness, pain of the past, without grudges, that is a repentant heart and I am sure that God’s mercy will shine through to give hope to all of you; who will respond in faith. I am a witness and I know who is operating in that mountain, Jesus Christ of Nazareth and his Cherubim’s and Seraphim’s. Remain blessed.

Don’t Sack Any of Your Officials Based on Their Testimonies or Confessions in SCOAN

Julius Maada Bio, Sierra Leone, tb joshua
Julius Maada Bio, the president of Sierra Leone

It has come sadly to our notice in newspapers that the President of Sierra Leone, His Excellency Julius Bio, has sacked his state chief of protocol, Edna Kargbo, following her open testimony at SCOAN Nigeria. Kargbo, like thousands of others, might have come to the Synagogue Church of All Nations in Lagos,  (SCOAN of Senior Prophet TB Joshua), testifying to the goodness of the Lord.

The general public should endeavour to know that whereas such testimonies, especially given at SCOAN, are real and trustworthy and are for God’s glory, they shouldn’t be used to punish individuals giving the testimonies. These testimonies shouldn’t also be used to arrest any of your staff members or tender as evidence in any legal proceedings. They are for the Church and where science cannot explain everything about God’s interventions in our lives, miracles, or the deliverance from shackles of poverty, or the stronghold of Satan. In any case, if God has thoroughly blessed this individual there is nothing any president can do about it, except probably that the president may be inadvertently bringing himself down by refusing to accept the work of the Holy Spirit.

That as it may, it is equally necessary to educate the public about confessions and testimonies at most Living Church of Christ and at Christian gatherings such as in SCOAN Lagos or any of it’s Crusades home or abroad. These testimonies and confessions are what the individuals perceive but truly couldn’t explain why. As far as they are concerned it can only be by some supernatural forces working for them and not their merit. Hence kindly don’t use their confessions to sack them nor use their past to punish them. Even in a multi-religious setting like in Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Ghana, etc, governments shouldn’t intervene in Church matters in issues like this. The government that failed by its internal intelligence mechanism shouldn’t have used the Church as places it could collect negative information on its officials. It is both morally and spiritually unethical.

The public should know and appreciate that individuals that pass through SCOAN’s deliverance processes usually become positively changed persons and more valued resourceful persons. They would normally be able to carry more responsibility, become my reliable, more trustworthy and more dependable. They will have an excellent spirit like was in Daniel, given to them by Jesus Christ.  It is only when these expected changes are not visible in their duties that one could question them. The Jesus Christ we meet at SCOAN, or in any living Church and some are also in Sierra Leone, is big beyond our imagination and can bless not only our sister Edna Kargbo but every Sierra Leonian with bigger testimonies.

Prophet TB Joshua and His Critics

tb joshua, scoan
Prophet TB Joshua

This is a post from one of our readings, analysing the unpleasant situation TB Joshua has been experiencing in the hands of his detractors. Hope you enjoy reading.

For many years now, say since around 2003, I have been following TB Joshua very keenly. I first got a glimpse of his ministry on a state channel “Christian Hour Sunday Evening Programme”. The programme is still ongoing for ministries that can’t yet afford to run their private stations like Emmanuel TV that is now 13 years old. The Nigeria Federal Government at that time gave the order to disallow the use of government television stations by ministries like TB Joshua showing miracles. Our impression at that time was that the order was meant to shut up Synagogue of TB Joshua. The organizations that were not disallowed by the government of that day took it till date that they were the right ministries. By extension, they thought that they were the ones “Preaching the True Gospel of Jesus Christ”. But for SCOAN, some of us believe, government opposition (that generated some public doubt in TB Joshua and his ministries) encouraged the birth of Emmanuel TV that is now global. We thank God for using a supposed Christian President wrongly, but with hind knowledge in a way that gives more independence to the Church of Christ in Nigeria in broadcasting.

Yes, many others out there seem to continue to mock TB Joshua and rebuke his ministry for different other reasons, and this is no surprise. We are not even going to compare the present attacks on TB Joshua with the attacks to Jesus Christ and the massive persecution of the early Apostolic Church. It is of note nevertheless that the religious leaders did the same to Jesus in His time. People accused Jesus of being both demonic (Matthew 12:22-32) and a fraudster (Luke 23:11). Yes, they did and eventually cruelly led him to the Cross, thinking they were fighting God’s battle.

Jesus operated in a mono-ethnic and predominately Jewish population. Today the world has hundreds of religions each of which is on a mission of competition rather than seeking the Way and the Truth. This is sadly the current way of the world. If people don’t understand something or can’t achieve a TB Joshua’s standard for themselves then they just have to tear it down. This is more so in a present era of total impunity around the world and the spread of “Prosperity Gospel only”. No ministry wants to go near the demonic world where the End-time devilish anti-Christ forces have their home. They gloss over it, all in the pretext that “False Prophets and Teachers will arise in Latter Days”. Others through their denominational doctrine disallow any manifestation of the Spirit at worship. Their prepared programme is a mere routine of one or two hours of “prayer, singing, dancing, sermon, tithes and offerings, then the grace, till next Sunday”. Anything contrary to this programme receives opposition, just like miracles on a Sabbath day amounts to be working.

We were expecting TB Joshua to conduct his recent Nazareth meeting starting it on a Saturday, but he started instead in a Sunday. Yet the Jews and Arabs were still skeptical of the mission of TB Joshua and his team.

Individuals with one problem or the other can better associate with Jesus because He touches on them directly. Jesus said, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest”. Jesus gave the invitation but those making money from public infirmities turn around to oppose a ministry like SCOAN healing freely. Yes, the poor of the society, disabled, demon-possessed and the devil-chained-down, those who realise they have lost their way, and including others expecting the coming of Jesus Christ the King, all are coming to SCOAN to see Jesus. We are encouraging them to go. My concern right now is the capacity of SCOAN I estimated in 2012 to be only about 30,000. My other concern is “Just a one-man of God” faced with a large crowd every day. I saw it and felt for him.

I’m getting so delighted now that many others, men and women, are coming up with great anointing. An additional test of a genuine prophet is the ability or gift of raising disciples. TB Joshua is doing that. Already some of his “first disciples” have joined the opposition forces and are publishing against their boss. Even within such publications, the genuineness of TB Joshua and SCOAN becomes more obvious. Imagine one who worked ten years in SCOAN, saying miracles are fixed whereas people who just touched Emmanuel TV in their homes have positive results. Christ is alive and working, and this is different from whether TB Joshua is a perfect man or not. You don’t wait till a Samson takes hold of whatever is the middle pillar of your faith and destroy you along with itself. Look for Jesus and SCOAN is a place you can find Jesus also. If you get your healing or any miracle whilst in the UK, USA, Saudi Arabia, China, etc, come forward and say it as a witness that Jesus is alive. Mary saw Jesus after His resurrection and told others, and others likewise, then the Bible.

We have to be desperate in our search for Jesus Christ because He holds the key to life, but we don’t have to be desperate because of our conditions. Established systems or the religious would contend with our faith and offering themselves as alternatives, but by reading our Bible and praying Jesus will reveal Himself and lead us aright. Incidentally, I have found SCOAN as a training ground for Christian leaders, a place for a retreat, a solution ground, of course, a miracle centre, a reconciliation ground, and a place where all Christians and all faiths can meet.

Prophet TB Joshua isn’t just humble but very accessible and allowed some of us to advise him, where there is a need. He is just like one of us but with a given special anointing. We are daily praying for him, just as we pray for every ministry that comes under the control and anointing of Jesus Christ. Hence, I find no reason why people will be critical of TB Joshua other than endeavouring to perfect the work of the man of God. TB Joshua shall be perfect because his master, our own Lord and Saviour, is perfect.

Bisola Johnson and Pastor Sunday Adelaja the Greatest Threat to TB Joshua?

Do you think that this recent noise and cheap public attention from Bisola Johnson and the so-called pastor Sunday Adelaja are the greatest threat to the life and ministry of Prophet TB Joshua?

We should know that these guys are mere detractors whom every reasonable person that has access to their antecedence will see them for the fraud they are and their ingenuine quest to make cheap money from selling their book in their cause to degrade the reputation of our esteem Prophet.

There is nothing new which both duos have said that has not been said against TB Joshua and his Ministry before now. If the Ministry of the Prophet could withstand those mountains of allegations at that time when the Ministry was still in her early stage with less coverage, is it when everyone now has access to Emmanuel TV with a wider coverage where anyone can get firsthand information about the happiness in TB Joshua’s Ministry that one should be bothered about their falsehoods against the Prophet. If the Prophet could be vindicated then, he will still be vindicated again.

Those guys don’t deserve any attention. They are being used by some faceless persons who are the real threat to the life of the Prophet.

What we all should be concerned about now is the safety and security of TB Joshua. All these paid attention seekers are confirming our fears the more that the life of the Prophet is in danger.

We should not be deceived by these two detractors. Their faces are just being used. They are not the real enemies or threat. The faceless anti-TB Joshua forces, the gang that launched the attacked at the SCOAN guest house that took the life of innocent believers are the real threat.

Does Bisola Johnson and Pastor Sunday Adelaja have access to an infrasonic weapon? These are the questions we should ask ourselves. The enemies have to remain invisible because they are powerful world forces and they have their reputation to protect. They are just using individuals that can sell their reputation for anything as a coverup to attack the Prophet.

According to the security information on the ground now, their ultimate goal is to kill TB Joshua. Since their actual plan for attacking the SCOAN guest house seems not to have materialized. Because the attack was met to destroy TB Joshua’s Ministry and scare people away from coming to the SCOAN. Even the court case, they know that irrespective of the outcome it won’t affect TB Joshua’s ministry or stop the SCOAN from going higher. With all these facts on the ground, their Ultimate goal now is to kill the Prophet, and this is something we all must take seriously.

All this Bisola and whatever noise makers out there are mere detractors. No true believer can take them seriously. But the real threat TB Joshua is dealing with right now are the greatest and worst persecutors of Christendom in this 21st century.

Don’t be taking unaware, you need to know what is going on behind the scene. We are talking about dangerous End-time anti-Christ forces. We must remain prayerful and watchful since the enemies are still at their games. We, however, know that no matter the length and breadth of their blackmail, campaign of calumny, intimidation and persecution, surely as Christ Jesus lives, victory will be ours through Him, in Christ Jesus’ Name…Amen!

ELECTED BY GRACE

A practicing medical doctor, Dr Henry Archibang and his wife found themselves in a deplorable condition – abject poverty. In spite of a budding practice, money was not coming in and he was unable to house, feed or educate his family. He came to The SCOAN the day the man of God was talking about crossing the bridge. The prophet said not everyone would cross but by faith, Dr Henry claimed he would be one who would cross the bridge. He returned home and began to pray with his wife with the Morning Water. He then began to see a series of dreams with Prophet T.B. Joshua. In one dream, he received his deliverance. In a following dream, he saw himself at the back of a very large crowd when Prophet T.B. Joshua appeared and asked if he would like to go to the front. Then, Prophet T.B. Joshua held his hand and suddenly, he found himself at the front of the crowd and was being named the winner of a contest. The prize given to him was the Nigerian flag. Upon waking up, Dr Archibang told his wife he wanted to contest for the National Assembly – a campaign he had run unsuccessfully in the past. With no money, he began to campaign, limiting himself to facebook advertisements. When time for the election came, the local government leaders asked himself and another man to choose who would step down as they could only present one candidate. He decided to step down but as soon as he took that decision, there was confusion among the people. They held a small election among themselves to finally decide who would go for the election at the end. From that election, Dr Archibang was chosen to represent them to go for the election for the House of Representatives. Due to lack of finances, he could not do any campaign. The only materials he had were the Morning Water and the Morning Sticker. Without paying any amount of money for the election, without any advert and campaign – empty-handed, he went for the election and to the glory of God, he won. Today, he is a member of the National Assembly House of Representatives. A million thanks are not enough for what God has done in his life.

TB Joshua’s Critics- The darkness in a close M

In the ongoing debate between supporters and critics of scoan on TB Joshua watch, some SCOAN supporters might have noticed how pointless it is trying to convince them to come to the right knowledge of the Gospel grace.

Theirs is a platform on which reticence would suffice because of the awful reality of how they use scoan’s supporter’s words to slur them because of the strength of their conviction. A quick glance through TB Joshua watch, a scoan critic wordpress.com site will reveal diverse concerns about scoan which they listed as their reasons for feeling uneasy about scoan. Now we must point out here that doubt in itself isn’t wrong, if there were no doubt then there would be no reason for faith, as much as we advocate support for TB Joshua’s ministry, we are definitely against blind fanaticism, the scripture explicitly instructs us to test all things, make sure of them in order to hold fast to that which is true. Though doubt in itself is not wrong, it is most times better not to entertain them at all because it often leads to cynicism and hard heartedness if not carefully managed, Jesus himself once said, even as the most controversial figure during his sojourn on planet earth, “blessed are those who have no doubts about me”. We are not ruling out the fact that SCOAN Critics sometimes raise genuine concerns about scoan, but going on about these doubts to try and convince others to form the same opinion as they have is just being pharisaical. A dangerous little catch phrase was given by their site administrator, Ian, for SCOAN supporters to keep reading their rhetoric articles with an open mind, which in itself isn’t a problem if they themselves would stop clinging stubbornly to some mixture of unwarranted assumptions and sentiments.

A closed mind in the context of this post is the attitude of TB Joshua’s critics impervious to ideas, arguments, facts and logic. The state of already having their minds made up and not ready to accept the possibility of being wrong.

These critics themselves have also falsely accused scoan supporters of having a dedication that would not countenance doubt or critique, and as a result the value-laden words they employ to enlighten these closed minded bunch are often rejected as merely showing off fanaticism. That is, those who would not believe their assumptions about SCOAN, it is at this point we strike a difference between a closed mind and being self assured. Whilst a closed mind is impervious to ideas, a self assured mind is an open mind because of confidence and surety, coupled by willingness to hear other’s point of view and not being threatened by them.  TB Joshua watch is definitely a far cry from this. Don’t agree? Well lets test them then, The test is whether they are prepared to sincerely hear arguments to the contrary and be open to changing their minds if they are strong enough and as expected, they inadvertently failed.

It’s clear that as far as knowledge of the truth in this matter is concerned, they’re a lost cause, with comments such as these; one cannot help but wonder if these are the same set of people that claim to be seeking answers about TB Joshua’s ministry. These comments are not comments of people with a genuine desire to learn and be better informed; they are comments of closed minded cynics looking for other closed minded people like them. And this was one of the characteristics that placed the Pharisees in danger hell, now I’ve got to hand it to the SCOAN supporters who got involved with TB Joshua watch to make their case and deal with their objections seriously, which to me is obviously pointless to them and makes their arguments keep going in circles. That would have only had the necessary impact if they were indeed listening; but the fact is they are an un-teachable, spiritually blind and self righteous bunch. It is of great risk and grossly irresponsible to close off the possibility of revising our opinions however glaring the issue at hand now may appear to us now. And TB Joshua watch are well known for this, several supporters of scoan have laid complaints of how their opinions were deleted because they were pro-scoan, to the extent that one of their prolific commenter’s was said to have withdrawn from their site due to many of his comments being withheld and deleted.

CULTIVATE AN INDEPENDENT MIND

At about 7:24am, the church was filled to capacity by people from different parts of Nigeria and other countries of the world. Faith-

Wise Man John Chi
Wise Man John Chi

building songs were rendered by the choir and lasted for about two hours before the ministration by Wise Man John Chi. The subject of the ministration was “Cultivate An Independent Mind”. He said that without an independent mind, we would be prone to taking the decisions of the majority who look up to others for direction and always live in fear. “Everyone is exposed to things that are not consistent with God’s Word“, he asserted.

Jesus Christ, he maintained, knows the relevance of cultivating an independent mind and made a difference in his days. He said we were designed to do something new, unique and beyond human comprehension, adding that we should leave our imprints in a positive way and always itch to do what others have not done. “Those who possess faith do what is otherwise impossible”, he said, noting that satan hates an independent mind because it thinks for itself and examines all things in the light of God’s Word.

He therefore, admonished that we should always have the mind of God, do things that are consistent with His Word, stay in faith in Jesus Christ, and follow the example of Joseph who made a difference in his world and knew that salvation is personal.

“With the mind of Christ, you will know what Christ knows, and when the Holy Spirit enters you, you will become a channel of healing”, he assured.

In his own message, Prophet T.B. Joshua announced the arrival of Wise Man Harry from Washington, in the USA, and promised to join the wise men in ministering prophecies and prayers during the second service. “Satan is in trouble”, he assured. He announced that the video clips of the crusade in the USA had been received and assured that they would be released before the end of the week.

The prophet also spoke on the new Anointing Stickers, saying that people had started to testify to their spiritual potency. He also spoke on the new Anointing Water. According to him, “God has given us the new Anointing Water but has not finally released it. I am still listening to his instructions on how to release it and give it out”.

He emphasised that the ministration of prophecies and prayers by wise men last week attested to the power of the Holy Ghost manifested through them. “When they lay their hands on you, it is like you put fire on your head, especially if you have not submitted your life to Christ”, he said.

TB Joshua: I Lived a Rejected and Isolated Life

By Collins Edomaruse, Abiodun Ajala and Olawale Olaleye,
There could not be a better way to start than
to ask; who’s T.B Joshua?

Well, there’s nothing spectacular about Prophet T.B Joshua. He is just like every other human being. But if there is any difference, it is the grace of God; the righteousness of God. It is a product of the grace of God. So, I am a product of the grace of God.

So, how did your ministry start?

The Church started just like other ministries. And if
there is any difference, it is the way and manner God
executes his plans in our lives. And of course, you
know the way and manner God executes plans in our
lives differs. Sometimes, God can use foolish things.
Our God is awesome. So, in a nutshell, that is just it.

As a person, how was growing up like?

In summary, let me say, I have tasted what it takes
to be poor; humiliated, embarrassed and all what
not. And of course, I have tasted what it takes to be
honoured. So, I think it is that grace that gives me
the strength to face all conditions today. It is the

grace of God. I have tasted what it takes to be humiliated and poor and also what it takes to be honoured and have more than enough. And that is the grace to face all conditions.

Can one then say it is that tough background that gave you the grace to
truly believe and face God?

I think it is just the will of God because for anyone to march for God, you must first
march with Him. For me, I have marched with Him and this is the time I am marching
for him. To march with God is the time to sacrifice and to march for him, is the time of
grace and blessing.

When did you get the calling and what was the sign like?

It was about 23 years ago when it all happened For instance, many will say they
encountered God through a man of God to do this and all that, but in my case and I
know many must have had the same experience that I had, it was a personal
encounter. It was not that one man of God came to me to say this and that. It was a
personal encounter. And if you look at my birth, it is a story people like to read and
listen to. I was in a trance for three consecutive days, then I saw a hand that pointed a
Bible to my heart and the bible entered my heart and my former heart seemed to
have immersed with the Bible immediately. Then, the awareness came and I saw the
Apostles and Prophets of old with someone whose head I could not see because he
was tall to the heaven and suspended in the air. I believe it was our Lord Jesus Christ
sitting in their midst. I also saw myself in their midst. After a while, I saw a hand of the
same tall man, I could not behold his face which was glittering with an unimaginable
light; tall to the heavens and still suspended in the air. But other Apostles, I could see
their faces, particularly Apostles Peter and Paul, Prophets Moses, Elijah and others.
Their names were boldly written on their chests.

So, I heard a voice saying “I am your God. I am giving you a divine commission to go
and carry out the work of the heavenly father”. At the same time, the same hand of
the tall man gave me a small cross and a big Bible, bigger than the one that entered
my heart with a promise that as I keep pressing in his Time and Name, I would be
given a bigger cross but if I failed, the opposite would occur. I also heard a voice of the
same tall man but I could not see his head, saying “I am the Lord your God who was
and who is- Jesus Christ, giving orders to the Apostles and Prophets.” The same voice
said to me “I would show you the wonderful ways; I would reveal myself through you,
in teaching, preaching, miracles and signs and wonders for the salvation of souls.
Since then, I have been receiving in my vision every year and according to my
faithfulness to God, bigger cross that means to me, more responsibilities. The Bible
that entered my heart symbolise spirit and life (the Holy Spirit). God’s word is spirit
and life. He does nothing without his word. The book of Roman 8:16 says “God’s spirit
joins himself to our spirit to declare that we are children of God.”

If you were not doing God’s work, what would you have been doing?

The question you just asked me is purely divine because I don’t know. Listen, we are
created in God’s image and what matters to God is not our physical or mental
disposition, but one with Him in terms of love, kindness and so on. It is the goodness
of our cause that interests God and not our physical or mental disposition. Really, not
that our physical and mental dispositions do not have roles to play, just that the
goodness of our cause interests Him more than that. And since we are created for the
glory of God, no one can say what he or she would like to be. We are created for his
glory and we must live for his glory. Our lives are in God’s hands. We have no control.
We can’t control Him by using the Bible or cross as a good luck charm without a
thorough reformation of heart and life. So, I think that question is for Baba God.

Before that encounter with God some 23 years ago, who were you?

When we talk of encounter, there are different stages of encounter. The one we are
talking about is the deeper encounter. You know, there are deep, deeper, and deepest;
that is the three stages in the life of a Christian. So, every Christian must go through
the stages. It is about our responsibility to God; how we obey His rule. We have many
Bishops who are just deep in the Lord and we have many Christians, just ordinary
Christians without any title whatsoever either as a pastor or Bishop who are deeper in
the Lord. We have many pastors who are deep and their members are deeper. So, not
until you are in the line that you’ll begin to know this. But before I got the calling, I
was a member of the Anglican Church and participated actively in many Church
activities. On three different occasions, I was appointed the chairman of children’s
Harvest/thanksgiving ceremony. During my primary school days at St. Stephen
Anglican primary school, Agbaluku, Ondo State. I was the leader of Student Christian
Fellowship. I taught my colleagues the scriptures without formal Bible training. In my
dream, I was always taught the scriptures that gave me an edge over the other
student colleagues even above my teacher. I was the smallest in the class and I led
the prayer during school devotions. My teacher, Mrs. Margaret Tolani Adejumo and my
colleagues usually called me small pastor. So, it is God himself who performs the
divine anointing on all who have the wonderful privilege of becoming His children.

The essence of the question is to know if you have lived a kind of life that
negates outright, the life of a Christian before you were called to serve. So,
who were you before you became a man of God?

That’s a nice question. When you look at my life, you’ll see that there was no
opportunity to live a funny life. I don’t know my father. It was very, very difficult. In
fact, there was no opportunity to live a funny life because all through, it was rejection

and isolation and it really helped me. It was not by power of mine, so, we should not
make jest of those who lived funny lives because the book of Galatians 6, says, if one
is caught out of sin, you that caught him should take him gently; restore him gently so
that you also will not be tempted. For instance, you saw someone smoking and you
began to make jest of him; saying, ‘Ha, you are a smoker.’ Be careful because you
also may be tempted. For anyone to live right, it is not by his power or by his might, it
is the grace of God because without God, no one can live right. The Bible says ye
should be careful because the first may be the last and the last may be the first.

It’s Christmas. Let’s talk about its essence. What does Christmas connote?

Well, I would not want to say anything that will run contrary to the theology, but I’ll
put it in a way that a scholar of the scriptures will understand. Christmas is the period
of opportunity for everyone to show our true remorse for our unworthy past. I don’t
want to say anything that will elicit controversy but it is an opportunity to show true
remorse, and not an occasion to show off. Simply put, God has a son and he planted
him in the earth to produce a family. Today, millions are born again through this seed.
And if that is it, how then do we celebrate Christmas? How do we register our
appreciation to him? That’s the question. If God has a son and planted him in the
earth to produce a family, and today, millions are born again through this seed how do
we show appreciation? We show appreciation to him by giving every good thing
without asking of us: our love, our time, our strength, our faith, our loyalty and our
money. You see, there is what we call humility; total humility and submission to his
will. That’s our offering and when you want to give him, you should remember the
quality ones because for instance, in Nigeria today, we are good givers, but we do
give when it is convenient. That is Nigerians for you. But as true Christians, do not
give only when it is convenient for you. You should give even when it causes some
pains. Even when you are not happy, people can rush to you and say please help me, I
have not eaten today and you say leave, go, I am not happy, why should you ask me
for money? But even when it causes pains to do, please do because God has only one
son and he planted that son in the earth. You can imagine that. So, when you give
when it is not convenient, your offering will be a sacrificial giving. So, as we go out to
celebrate Christmas, we should remember the weak, the poor and the lonely in the
society. It is praise-worthy to give, not only to our power but also beyond our power. If
this is our aim and objective of giving, even if we gave out a little, that offering will be
acceptable to God. That’s Christmas for you. Some may say where is it written in the
bible, but the truth is that it is an occasion for us to truly remorse our unworthy past.
What this means is that a time of giving is a time to show true remorse, not the time
to show off.

But don’t you think your analysis of the significance of Christmas would
have been apt for Easter?

Sometimes, I wonder if we don’t read our Bible. Jesus Christ fasted for 40 days and 40
night and you have also been doing the same. But the same Jesus Christ walked on
the sea, why can’t you walk on the sea? But Jesus was led by the Spirit to do so. He
was not led because someone was doing it; he was not copying people. If you begin to
look through the bible, all the events that happened were not repeated. Look at it; he
walked on the sea, he turned water to wine. But who else repeated this? Also, in the
Bible, Peter said to the people at the beautiful gate, silver or gold I have not, in the
name of Jesus…but no other man of God has done that. This is because they received
from heavens. They came to change the world, but today, we are copying. And when
we keep copying, we cannot change our world. We’ll continue to live the same world.
We are sent to this world to make a difference, but we cannot make a difference

PARDONING MERCY – TB JOSHUA

2 Chronicles 7:14 – “If My people who are called by My Name will humble themselves with a broken heart and pray, I will forgive their sins and heal their land.” The term ‘land’ means everything that has to do with you.

God’s promise is not a blank cheque. HE clearly spells out the conditions on which HE makes it. HIS promise is ‘I will heal you/ bless you/ save you – if you humble yourselves in prayer and be broken hearted.’ This means, pardoning mercy makes way for healing mercy.

If you pray for healing without obtaining pardon first, your sickness will not yield to your prayer. That is, will not be answered. Therefore – if your situation is not yielding to your prayer – look inward. That is, examine yourself in the light of God’s Word – because our God is a faithful God. HE is a God who keeps HIS promises.

Therefore, don’t allow the situation you are in to dictate the direction of your prayer, simply ask for His mercy and forgiveness because pardoning mercy makes way for healing mercy.

ANOINTING WATER BRINGS PROSPERITY – TB JOSHUA

Through the Anointing Water, Engr Lazarus Yakubu,
an aeronautical engineer became a proud owner of a Boeing 727

The testimony regarding the Anointing Water for Blessing and Prosperity came from Engr Lazarus Yakubu, an aeronautical engineer who has been in the aviation industry for years without recording enviable material success. Among many failures, the agreement he formalized with a Ukrainian Helicopter Company in 2005 to be their sales representative in Nigeria flopped like the Company his friend and he registered to render engineering services to clients, a contraption which took them as far and high as the United Nations. In the face of these poverty-grooming failures, he decided to spiritually fortify his fortunes with the Anointing Water. Coming to The SCOAN on 10th October 2010, he took part in the service during which the prophet uttered the words, ‘Your past is over’, as part of the prayer. Jolted by that phrase and claiming it for himself, Engr Lazarus additionally bought related spiritual materials including  ‘The Mirror’, ‘The Step’, ‘Read us’ amidst other video recordings and travelled home in renewed faith, internally satisfied that he had partaken of spiritual bath and rejuvenation in the Synagogue. In actualization of his faith, his life began to witness  a progressive change and thereafter, he became a proud owner of a Boeing 727 – a cargo plane of the carriage capacity of 20 tonnes bought for $5,000,000. In confirmation of the new door of prosperity opened for him by the medium of the Anointing Water, he received a visitation from a Construction Company in America on the Monday week to formalize an agreement with him to take charge of the construction of an international airport. Indeed, Lazarus’s fortunes have changed and he seized the opportunity of the testimony to advise his listeners to turn to God in all vicissitudes of life and they would not be disappointed.

I encourage you to watch Emmanuel TV, especially the live services from The SCOAN on Sunday. God is really using this simple television station to bring deliverance and freedom to so many people around the world!
