PRAYER TO USHER YOU INTO 2018 – PROPHET TB JOSHUA

tb joshua scoan 2018
Prophet T.B. Joshua

Viewers all over the world, Happy New Year! What do you understand by ‘New Year’? It is a gift from God – a part of the Divine nature of God. In the New Year therefore, you are called to God’s kind of lifestyle – His divine essence in terms of faithfulness, steadfastness and love.

God is the reason for the year. If God is the reason, nothing of God can be possible unless our heart is pure. Jesus said in Matthew 5:8 – “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God”. Psalm 66:18 says, “If we regard inequity in our heart, the Lord will not hear us”. To regard inequity is to hold offence, pain of the past and bitterness. When you hold a grudge against a brother, you have already grieved the Holy Spirit.

Let us remove every barrier between our heart and the Spirit of God. Viewers, I command that barrier to be removed in the name of Jesus. Be removed! Be removed, in the name of Jesus! This barrier could be an unforgiving spirit, holding offence or pain of the past. Whatever wall, whatever barrier, I command it to be removed. Let there be relationship! Let the relationship between you and God in this New Year be reestablished in Jesus’ Name! Receive a free spirit – a spirit that is free from offence, bitterness, unforgiveness and pain of the past. Receive it in Jesus’ name, I command!

Jesus started with prayer. Prayer is the master key. Let me usher you into the New Year with prayer. Viewers, “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God”. I believe your relationship with God has been reestablished because our heart is the prayer room. Let us pray!

At the command of Jesus, Peter walked on the sea. At the command of Jesus, Blind Bartimaeus regained his sight. I command every unfavourable situation in your life to cease, to end with the year 2017, in Jesus Christ’s name. In your career, business, health, marriage, family, country – let every unfavourable situation end with 2017! That career that has been asleep, that business that has been asleep, that health that has been asleep – I say, “Good morning to you all!” It is a new dawn! Happy New Year!

Viewers, I know there is something you want me to mention – the prophecy for the year. We must wait for God’s time to make this known to you.

T.B. Joshua: Exposed AT Last! (PART TWO)

This is the continuation of the part one of the article: TB Joshua: Exposed AT Last!

MY VISIT TO THE SCOAN

Since I could not pay my sister’s medical bills, the hospital management later asked me to take her home; for it would be better she died at home. After taking her home, I left for Lagos and that was a week and two days after my encounter with the nurse, who advised me to go to SCOAN to see if the anointing there could help expose the evil powers behind my continuous failure, limitations in progress and restore my Sister’s health. I traveled by land which made my journey stressful and hectic, on my way to the SCOAN, I almost encountered an accident which made me doubt the more about my awkward coming to the SCOAN. When I arrived, I lodged in a nearby hotel to rest my head in anticipation for the next day because I was anxiously waiting to see the SCOAN finally and find out for myself all what I had been hearing from people.

The next day which happened to be a Sunday I finally came to the SCOAN and that was the first time I entered the church. When I entered the Church auditorium, I thought I would find the horns of the devil and the sacrifices people had brought for sanctification in the church as I believed but what I saw was different. I saw a lot of frame containing Jesus and His disciples in the church’s ceiling and the beautiful altar of the man of God well decorated with grasses, rocks, a pool of pure water and fruits of different kinds. The building was no respecter of persons; no matter how rich or successful a person is, once you are inside SCOAN you look just ordinary. I liked that very much but I was not totally convinced until I saw the man of God live for the first time. Immediately, I felt the awesome presence of the Holy Spirit. What struck me most were the long hours we all endured in the presence of the Almighty; I enjoyed every moment of that experience.

I was seating at the new comers section; I sat with my fingers crossed as the Man of God moved around the new comers section. The Prophet moved towards me and told me he would like to speak to me, I felt uneasy and reluctant because of my past but I finally allowed him to speak to me. He started prophesying to me and he was very accurate; he told me about my past which comprised blasphemy, my cult life, demonic attacks and financial problem. Hearing all these, I was perplexed; in fact words could not explain how I felt at that spot.

He prophesied about my sister’s illness and declared her free of her illness; he also prayed for me. While the prayer was on, I just saw myself more like in the spiritual realm fighting with the demon in me. I finally won the demon I saw within me and found myself on the floor, I jumped up immediately and cleaned myself up; the man of God declared me free and congratulated me for my deliverance. I was really amazed when I saw for myself the man of God accurately prophesying to the congregation and the Wise men ministering healing and deliverance to the sick ones and the demonic possessed…READ MORE

SCOAN First Sunday of the year 2016

DADDY2Being the first Sunday of the year 2016, the church service witnessed a massive turn-out of congregants who came with their hearts full of glorious expectations for the New Year. Ushering them into the fresh vista of a new beginning, the choir dramatised the reality on ground by assuring every worshipper that the fears of the out-gone year have been buried in the past. “I am no longer a slave to fear… I am a child of God”.

It was Prophet T.B. Joshua’s first appearance in The SCOAN after several months of physical absence. But as he would later tell the congregants, “You can see that your pastor did not go on holiday”. That short statement came on the heels of the massive demonstration of God’s power by the Holy Spirit through Prophet T.B. Joshua who prophesied and delivered many from the stranglehold of demonic forces. In less than thirty minutes, he had wreaked untold havoc on the kingdom of darkness!

I FIRST HEARD OF T.B. JOSHUA IN THE 1950s…

I FIRST HEARD OF T.B. JOSHUA IN THE 1950s…
Destined to be one of God’s great Generals, Evangelist C.S. Upthegrove from Florida, USA, is a living legend whose contribution to spread the Gospel has been breathtaking. Former Pastor of Miracle Valley Church, he served under another General, A.A. Allen. God has since greatly used him to advance His Kingdom here on earth. In this exclusive piece, he shares with Read Us his experiences in the service of the Lord and his encounter with the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua. He writes:

In my day, miracles were on the menu at any given time. We always praised God, as soon as blind eyes were opened or a cancer was suddenly gone. We were in a marvellous time of reaping. So many ministers of God had prepared the way for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on those who so desperately needed it.

During the 1930s through the 50s, people were trying to recover from what was later known as the Great Depression. Pentecost had received a new grace, since the Azusa Street Revival in 1906, not to mention those who had already been awakened during the turn of the new century. Great men and women of God sprung out of every corner of the globe, bringing in tremendous signs, wonders and miracles.

The intensity began to wane around 1909, as the move of God splintered into many factions and denominations. But people did not want to lose the high ground they had gained. Feeling the decline, the intercessors picked up their positions again.

Around 1947, a new voice began to arise. This was like nothing the Church had ever heard of since Bible days. Many weary ministers and evangelists who were on the verge of giving up their ministries due to lack of God’s manifest presence and power, became quickened and alive with new hope and fervour. They began to see the power of God on a level unknown for hundreds of years, at least not known to the masses.

This gentle, soft-spoken man stepped out of obscurity and took the world by surprise. William Branham, with complete accuracy, could look into the entirety of anyone’s life and give exact details of even the smallest things through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Whole schools of deaf children would pass through a prayer line and be healed. The miracles and prophetic words were astounding.

Out of his ministry grew what would later be called the ‘Latter Rain Movement’. Oral Roberts attended his meetings and took on the challenge to pray for the sick. T.L. Osborn was ready to walk away from the mission field because after years in the service of the Lord, he felt fruitless. He watched this small man from Kentucky tell people in great detail things that no one else knew and as he witnessed a child with no bones in his legs suddenly develop bones, he had one thought: ‘I need this impartation.’

As the fire came down, a worldwide revival began but by the beginning of the 1960s, it too had begun to fade. In my own ministry, the miraculous was always present but the worldwide stage had closed its ear. You see, it’s not enough to have great meetings and even have God sweep through a city. God is always looking to move onto the eternal high ground that will send the Word to every nation as one great voice in unison.

It was in this desire to see God’s glory fill the earth that my daughter, Evangelist Brenda Upthegrove Price, began her travail of soul like Hannah of old: “Oh God, the Eli system has taken over Your people. There is sin at the door and Eli no longer confronts his sons. Lord, if You don’t send a Samuel that will put things back in order, then You will surely leave us without a voice on the earth”.

Being a prayer warrior, my daughter began to cry to God day and night: “Lord, let me see the wells of these great men of God that I have known begin to flow through the nations of the earth. Please, bring back Your glory to this generation and to the United States of America”.

In the spirit of that prayer, God began to direct her. One night, in desperation, she went to YouTube and simply typed in the word, ‘Miracles’. One name kept popping up: ‘T.B. Joshua’. She started to search everything she could find about this ministry but he (T.B. Joshua) was in Africa.

“Lord,” she prayed, “I would love to be in his services”. Two weeks later, she read an advertisement for an Anointing Water Conference that would be a mere three hours from her home. How could it happen in this state and in a city so close to where she lived? During the night, God spoke to her saying: “This is the answer to your prayers. I will open the wells of these great moves upon the earth and in your nation. This will be the death of the Eli system and the beginning of the restoration of My power”.

A few weeks after the Anointing Water Conference, Wise Man Harry came. This added to her excitement. While there, Emmanuel TV interviewed her and she briefly gave the account written above. God supernaturally brought us to the attention of Prophet T.B. Joshua.

After talking to the Emmanuel TV team, we were received as special guests in Lagos, Nigeria. I will never forget the invitation to visit The SCOAN. It was the beginning of a wonderful time of encouragement and mutual love and respect. I was 83 years old, and I had already claimed Psalm 71:18: “Now, when I am old and grey headed, oh God, forsake me not, until I have shown Thy strength unto this generation and Thy power to everyone who is to come”. When I caught the long flight to Lagos, Nigeria, I was thanking God all the way, because I knew I was in the centre of His will. Too often, we have lived in His permissive will but thank God for the feeling; I was in His divine perfect will. Since that meeting with the Prophet, we were added to his family. Now, I truly feel that he is my son and his family is my very own family. We thank God for Prophet T.B. Joshua, the ministry of The Synagogue Church Of All Nations, and Emmanuel TV.

I have been in the deliverance ministry since I was 15 years old and my life seemed almost complete, since I had seen miracles all over the world with Great Generals from the 40s, 50s and 60s, including pastoring a great church in Miracle Valley, Arizona under the direction of Apostle A.A. Allen. The one thing that I had not seen fulfilled was a prophecy that he gave to me personally.

One day, while he and I were riding along in his car, A.A. Allen turned to me and said: “Brother Upthegrove, I may not be living when this comes to pass but I believe you will”. He began to describe a time coming when the Azusa Street Revival in 1906, under the direction of William Seymour, would be just a beginning of what God was going to do.

Please, hear me now – I know about the miraculous. But from the moment my feet walked on the holy ground of The SCOAN, excitement began to build in my soul as I saw the desperation of the thousands of sick and afflicted from all over Africa and other nations. They came together for a miracle. I knew this was it.

I had the privilege of watching the Wise Men lay hands on the sick and cast out demons. God spoke to my spirit and said: “What you are seeing is the prophecy being fulfilled in this place. I will pour out My Spirit in this place”. I began to weep. The following Sunday, Prophet T.B. Joshua was so gracious to me. He knew by the Spirit that I was supposed to speak for a few minutes to the thousands in attendance.

Out of all my friends, former pastors and churches, missionaries and whomever I have known in my 70 years of ministry, I was so moved by the fulfilled prophecies of Prophet T.B. Joshua and the miracles of healing, along with demons being cast out, that I knew this was that which was spoken in prophecy to me by A.A. Allen.

Recently, I had the privilege of joining my spiritual son, T.B. Joshua in Cali, Colombia, with approximately 50,000 people in attendance each night. In all my 70 years in this ministry including being in service with great Generals of the faith, Oral Roberts, Catherine Kuhlman, William Branham, Jack Coe, A.A. Allen and many others, I had never seen so many people get out of wheelchairs and give up their crutches, walking and praising God for healings and great deliverances.

Thank God, I have lived long enough to see the promise come to pass. This Prophet of God, T.B. Joshua, is so anointed by the Spirit that many times, all he has to do is speak the Word and the sick are healed.

I am so blessed to be part of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations family.

God bless all of you.

You said God speaks to you, how does he speak to you?

Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua of the Synagogue Church of all Nations spoke with Punch’s Bosede Olusola-Obasa on myriads of controversies surrounding his person and ministry. Read the chat below…

People say that you are very humble despite your popularity, how do you achieve this?
If you have passed through what I have passed through, you will even be more humble than I am.

Like what?

Things that can make people to be humble. You just think of it. I have good health and God shows me what I would have been in terms of sickness and death; it humbles me and I want to use my good health for him. At times, God shows me how people are suffering and the thought that it could have been me keeps me humble. For instance, if I did anything wrong during this interview, when you may have left, God will caution me. If I am not humble, I will be out of track. If I was not in the house of God, I would be one of the touts in the motor parks (the Agberos)

Why is it that your ministry seems to be more popular outside Nigeria than in Nigeria?
I want to offer the same prayer for you: that God should make you more popular outside your country than in your country. Let other countries introduce you to your country. I think that is better. As it is written in the Bible, a prophet has no honour in his country. I am not an evangelist or a pastor, I am a prophet. It is the word prophet that was used in that scriptural passage, not evangelist or so. If my people had understood the work from the beginning, it could have affected the glory of God in my life today. If people understand your vision from the beginning, you may not go far. It is better they don’t, they will understand later and by then, you would have been very strong and God would have strengthened your desire. Praises and adoration can make you a local champion.

Where are the people that Nigerians praised from the beginning? I can mention some – even men of God, who are no longer living today, so many founders – CAC, Cherubim and Seraphim, Church of the Lord and so on. We should get this understanding that those who were local champions in the past did not reach international recognition. Look beyond the ministry job to the secular world, was it Nigeria that introduced Prof. Wole Soyinka to the world? But when he became a Nobel Laureate, he became more powerful; when he talks, everyone wants to listen. Whereas there were some other local champions that even when they were dying, nobody took their news to CNN. They don’t know them. God has a way of raising people by throwing the image to the international community. Even the footballers that are notable became acceptable to Nigerians when they belong to international clubs. I may not be accepted by some people in Nigeria but my acceptance in the world has been announcing me to my world. When you look at the people working with me, you see that the ratio of Nigerians working with me are not more than 10 per cent.

What is the special attraction that brings heads of government to synagogue?
You have said it all, where there is demand, there is supply and in that place, there would be enough anointing to do the work. God will not allow people to go to a place where there is no supply. It is not possible. I observe that if three chairs are added to this church today, you suddenly find people filling it and if four are removed, it is just the number of people that will fill the chairs that will come. I have studied that from the beginning. Sometimes when I see some ministries printing handbills, using signboards to advertise the church, I say those things are not necessary. God is the one inviting people, if you allow him to do it, the solution to their problems will be waiting for them. But if you take it upon yourself to do the advertisement, people that God is not expecting will come along with them and there will be crisis and trouble. You just continue doing your work and leave the advert for God, then those that God didn’t invite will not come and there will be peace and tranquillity.

You should not go out to start saying ‘I can heal, I can deliver.’ At synagogue, our critics are our advertisement. They are people that don’t want to hear about us. They tell other people that ‘that church is devilish;’ unknowingly, some of the people they tell get inquisitive and they will want to come here and see what a devil looks like since they haven’t seen one before. God has been using this as advertisement for us. Ninety per cent of people who come here do so in the bid to come and verify what they had heard about this church. When some of them get here, they will sit at the back, fearing that they could be hurt. Some put on dark glasses or disguise in a way that will not allow people that know them to recognise them. But before the service is over, some of them will pick up their bags and move to the front seats. They eventually become my prayer warriors.

Let me tell you something that amazes me and that I always thank God for – those who are with me are more than those that are against me. They keep supporting me all over the world. I have more, more, more people around the world. Whenever I say this, tears flow from my eyes (sobs for a while). These are tears of joy. I get so sad when I hear people’s confession when their eyes become open to what God is doing here. Some say, ‘I wish I had known this, my mum would not have died. She asked me to bring her here but because of what I was hearing about this place, I refused until she died. I hope that she will forgive me.”’

Is President Goodluck Jonathan on the list of heads of government that patronise your services?
When it comes to relationship, I think he would be in the best position to answer that question. Since what we are doing is creating impact around the world, you should expect Nigeria’s president to also be part of it. We are praying for the nation and being a Christian acknowledges it. If Jonathan had been here, it would have been shown on our Emmanuel Television network. No president has ever visited this place in secret. The Bible says that if you confess me before men, I will confess you before my father in heaven. I am not a witch doctor; we have nothing to hide. If you have not read in the newspapers that your president came here, then that is that. Anytime presidents of other countries come here, Jonathan is usually aware. If he doesn’t believe in what we are doing, he would have told them that we constitute security risks.

What is your relationship with President Jonathan, Does he speak with you on phone?
Don’t rush me. Let me finish answering the last question. Now, you would answer the question yourself; have you read that he came here, have you? My sister, you have said it all. What phone call are we talking about?

How do you tell the president when you have an instruction for the nation?
I say it on the television and all over the world. I accept that is not enough; it is better to see him one on one.

But what is the essence of a president’s visit if he won’t follow what I will tell him? This kind of trend keeps staining my name. I will not mention anybody, when they leave here; they do not obey the instructions.

But what are these presidents looking for in your church?
The reason why people visit a man of God is to receive instructions, his opinion about them or their country. But if they don’t follow it, yet the whole world knows that they are close to TB Joshua, it has no benefit.

Are you saying it’s no big deal that presidents visit you?
It is no big deal. Except they obey the counsel given to them, it has no benefit. It is not something to be proud of. At least, seven presidents have visited this place since inception. But each time presidents come to this place, I get query from God. When they come around, you won’t have time to attend to other people. They will block the road with their security and at the end of the day, they won’t do what you advise them to do.

People say that your generosity is used to woo people to your church. How do you react to this?
How much will I give to the president of a nation to come here? Even when they come, I don’t get any financial gain but I incur cost because I want to ensure that they are well cared for. That is all; I even prefer to spend my time with the poor than to be with the presidents. If a president visits this place today, the whole of the day will be devoted to that visit, I would have lesser time for the poor people, who need my attention. God has been warning me over this trend so much that when some presidents said that they wanted to visit me, I said no. I said it would be better for me to visit them in their countries.

Each time they visit this place, I receive query from God because of my time that should have been used to attend to the poor and the needy that are waiting for me. One soul is not superior to the other, why should I continue to receive query? Really out of three presidents that may visit, there will hardly be one that will show good example of the counsel that they received from me. If the needy are more receptive to God, it is better to give them more of my time.

Still on generosity, why do you ask people to display items given to them on camera, is it proper?
We do so to encourage other people to do likewise. Some of them are physically-challenged or indigent people who do not even have bank accounts, so we have to give them cash. We don’t want them to be duped, but we don’t do that often anymore.

Isn’t it a deliberate way of advertising what you are doing?
It is not so.

But we don’t see such things in other churches?
Every man of God has his own habit. Habit is a gift from God. Like Daniel, whenever he wants to pray, he will open his window, that is his habit. The disciples of Jesus prayed six times a day; that is their habit. It is not that we are showing off. When people see what we are doing, they learn how to be good givers. If you do everything privately, what will people write about? Jesus fed the 5,000 people in the open, not in secret. That is why it could be written. When the tax collectors came to him, he did not hide to say, ‘I don’t want them to see that they want to collect money from me.’ Even when he healed a man and they asked him how he did it, he asked them to go and ask the healed man.

You said God speaks to you, how does he speak to you?
Faith must first be in the heart before there could be an accepted confession. That means faith must first be in the heart before there could be an acceptance of prayer, request, talk from God. Faith is of man’s heart, which is spirit. Heart literarily means a different thing from the spirit. You use your faith to put a demand.

So, how do you get those prophecies – picture or voice?
I use my faith to place a demand. You don’t understand what I am saying. Let me put it this way, faith is a channel through which the anointing flows. That means you use your faith to put a demand and ask for whatever you want. If there is faith in your heart, you can close your eyes and make a demand that you want to know what is happening around the world and before you know it, you will see the vision. There is what you call a measure of faith – deep, deeper, deepest faith. I don’t know which level you belong. Faith grows as we hear the word and obey it. We are not all at the same level, but all things are possible to him that believes. What is possible for you may not be possible for me.

But many people see you as mystical, they think you are not a believer in Jesus Christ; that you belong to some other sect. What is the source of your power? Your question is funny. We don’t get power, it is faith we have. The power in our life is released by faith through our mouth. The issue of getting power is wrong. We don’t talk about getting power here. If you don’t have faith, power will remain dormant. In Mark, Jesus said this kind won’t be possible but by prayer and fasting. The disciples had power but lacked faith to release it.

Coming from you directly, who are you?
Nigerians cannot tell me who I am. The percentage of my people around the world is more than those in Nigeria. I am celebrated around the world. Go on the internet, Emmanuel TV is the most watched. Forget about anybody, I don’t need to promote myself. Even Jesus could not win everybody’s soul.

Are you a Christian, do you believe in Jesus Christ?
The word Christian is a title. How do you know that those people talking believe in Jesus Christ when Christianity is a matter of the heart?

But are you a child of God…
That is what I am correcting you about; that someone said he is a Christian doesn’t mean he is. If somebody says he belongs to this or that fellowship, only God knows. It is not about confessing that I am a prophet, a pastor, only God knows who is serving him. A mango tree cannot bear coconut. What you believe radiates around you. I’m more than that kind of confession. If anyone doesn’t believe me, they would when the time comes.

But why don’t you belong to a Christian body?
Christianity is not an association. Let us talk about Christianity. I don’t celebrate religion. I am a follower of Jesus; I am a Christian, that is all I know. I will invite you to come and worship here this Sunday. I am known by my love, not by my association, so whether Pentecostal, Catholic, Charismatic, Methodist, who is serving God? I don’t judge people but people can judge me. All I know is that my persecution has been a blessing; I have been tamed by it. It has strengthened me. I am a Charismatic.

So, who anointed you into the ministry?
I have told you about faith. You know that Elijah anointed Elisha, but can you tell me who anointed Elijah? So you see God can choose to do it the way He wants. Because I don’t want to hurt you, I don’t know which circle you belong to, maybe your own pastor was anointed by a man.

Are you still very close to Pastor Chris Oyakhilome?
Please, don’t drag me into all that. I beg you.

What about the issue of Jim Iyke?
Oh please, don’t drag me into that. All I can say is that if a person needs to see a doctor, he should be free to do so. I like the young man. He has been defending himself on the internet. Is he not enjoying a better life now? Are things not working for him?

Why are all these stars always coming to your church?
Please I don’t want to talk about that.

What about your alleged link with the release of Major Al-Mustapha?
Which one are you saying again? Please spare me that. I will give you time to come back and talk on that.

You are reputed for predicting football matches correctly, how far will Nigeria go in World Cup?
I can’t say that now. I will give PUNCH the privilege of getting my prophetic messages once they come out.

Why is it that people don’t know your family members?
I don’t expose my family. I hear people saying that I don’t have a wife and that I have no child. That is the news everywhere. You have seen my wife and this is a photograph of my daughter.

Why is it that your wife does not preach like other pastors’ wives?
My wife is a very wonderful woman. She believes in receiving her own call. She does not just want to hold microphone because her husband is a pastor.

Men of God need to take care of their children. My daughter studied Law she is doing her PhD in Harvard and she is coming back home to preach the gospel. She loves to preach.

Is your wife the one responsible for your looks?
I love to look good too; it is 50-50 anyway. She has been a great woman to me. She has been a great source of encouragement in the midst of my challenges. She is different in the sense that she said I was the one God called, so she is waiting until she is called by God to be a pastor. That is unlike what most men of God do, they believe that once they are called, their wives must be pastors too.

When are you buying your own private jet?
When one is at the airport to catch a flight, you see that many have become like Molue. They could disappoint you by saying the flight has been cancelled. Even when you eventually get on board, people keep thronging you for one reason or the other. The person serving you the meal may be someone that needs deliverance, by giving you food, she will deliver you. There was an experience I had when travelling by air for a trip of about nine hours. I was pressed but couldn’t go and ease myself because I had to queue like other people before I could use the restroom. Besides, I thought that some of those people could go to the toilet immediately after I had used it in expression of faith, so I remained glued to my seat all through the journey. That would not have been if I was flying a private jet. Or if you are a man of God that snores and they see the pastor sleeping and snoring, they will think he shouldn’t snore. Meanwhile, he is human. So a man of God should have a private jet if the situation demands it.

Who should pay for it?
If the use is for the church, the church should buy it, own it and manage it. It should not be bought in the pastor’s name. When he is no longer there, the jet remains the church’s.

Big organisations have a need for crowd management, how did you handle the stampede case in Ghana over holy water? I know where you are going, don’t go there. Why don’t you let’s leave that please.

What inspired you to owning a football club?
It is the desire to help people realise their dreams. There are other social platforms that we use to help people.

Still on prediction of football matches, is God not too busy to talk to you about that?
The same God speaks about everything. God is aware of everything. It is all about the faith that you have; it manifests even in small things. We need to know how much we need God.

But people said you see a crystal ball that aids your predictions?
Don’t you wonder why I am the only one saying it and it is coming to pass?

What about your influence on the stool in your village in Ondo State?
Don’t drag me into that, I will not go there, maybe next time.

T.B. Joshua full of troubles and hurdles

TB Joshua Church Nigeria | tbjfansuk.wordpress.com

T.B. Joshua full of troubles and hurdles!

“I was in a trance for three consecutive days, then I saw a hand that pointed a Bible to my heart and the Bible entered my heart and my former heart seemed to immerse with the Bible immediately. Then the awareness came and I saw the apostles and prophets of old with someone whose head I could not see because He was tall to the heaven and suspended, which I believe was our Lord Jesus Christ sitting in their midst. I also saw myself in their midst. After a while, I saw a hand of the same tall man, I could not behold His face, which was glittering with an unimaginable light, tall to the high heavens and suspended in the air. But other apostles I could see their faces, particularly Apostles Peter and Paul, Prophets Moses, Elijah and others. Their names were boldly written on their chests.

I heard a voice saying, “I am your God; I am giving you a divine commission to go and carry out the work of the Heavenly Father”. At the same time, the same hand of the tall man gave me a small cross and a big Bible, bigger than the one that entered my heart with a promise that as I keep pressing in His time and name, I would be given a bigger cross but if I fail the opposite would occur. I also heard a voice of the same tall man, I could not see His head, saying, I am the Lord your God who was and who is – Jesus Christ, giving orders to all the apostles and prophets. The same voice said to me, “I would show you the wonderful ways I would reveal myself through you, in teaching, preaching, miracles, signs and wonders for the salvation of souls”.

Since then, I have been receiving in my vision, every year according to my faithfulness to God, a bigger cross that means to me more responsibilities.

TB JOSHUA AND THE FIVE WISE MEN
TB JOSHUA AND THE FIVE WISE MEN

The Bible that entered my heart symbolized Spirit and life (The Holy Spirit). God’s Word is Spirit and life. He does nothing without His Word. The book of Romans 8:16 says, God’s Spirit joins Himself to our spirit to declare that we are children of God. The Father gave the Spirit to make us like His Son.

Father, thank You for Your Spirit, fill us with Your love and power, change us into Christ’s own image, day by day and hour by hour.

God Himself performs the divine anointing on all who have the wonderful privilege of becoming His children (2 Corinthians 1:21-23 and Luke 24:48-49).

Obedient to the divine call, T.B. Joshua, started a ministry with a mere eight members, prophetically naming it, ‘The Synagogue, Church of All Nations’ of which he is the General Overseer. Today, by the grace of God, as a man of faith, he is both a representative of God and of people. The ministry started very small, but has now grown far beyond the shores of Nigeria.

Evidently, T.B. Joshua has come a long way, full of troubles and hurdles, but all the way long, there has been an unseen hand of God intervening in his affairs. In every situation, he has remained focused on what God has to say.

For those whose lives are centred in Christ Jesus, the best is always yet to come…

Prophet TB Joshua
Prophet TB Joshua

T.B. Joshua is the General Overseer of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN). The Founder is Jesus Christ! He is just one of those who has humbly submitted to the will of God (Isaiah 6:8).

Born on June 12th 1963 in Ondo State, Nigeria, T.B. Joshua’s journey is a humbling story of how God raised a young man from a poverty-stricken home to lead an international ministry that would attract thousands worldwide to witness the reality of God’s power today.

From dropping out of secondary school in his first year to working in a poultry farm; from teaching little children while attending evening classes to washing people’s legs on the muddy streets of Lagos; from a forty day fast to receiving a divine call and starting a ministry with a mere eight members – the life of T.B. Joshua is a story of amazing grace and unwavering focus. Today, he is a mentor to presidents yet a friend to the widows and less privileged, a role model to his generation yet a humble and hardworking man, toiling tirelessly for the advancement of God’s kingdom. His story is an encouragement that there is hope for the weak.

Journalists deny being detained by SCOAN Ghana’s Security

Two Journalists from Kencity Media Limited (NET2 TV/Oman FM) Abdul Wahab Giwah and Seth Quaku Yeboah have denied media reports that they were detained by security personnel of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) founded by Prophet T.B. Joshua. They expressed shock about media reports that they were detained.

Emmanuel Anteh, a journalist with Joy News on Multi-TV, and his cameraman, Gilbert Azu reported that they were detained without any explanation for over six hours.

In their narration, Emmanuel Anteh, a journalist with Joy News on Multi-TV, and his cameraman, Gilbert Azu mentioned that another group of journalists from NET 2 Television Abdul Wahab Giwah and Seth Quaku Yeboah were also detained for more than six hours.

However, the two Journalists from Kencity Media Limited (NET2 TV/Oman FM) Abdul Wahab Giwah and Seth Quaku Yeboah says their inclusion in the detention story came as a surprise to them. According to them, they arrived at the Ghana branch of SCOAN at Spintex around 5AM Tuesday May 7, 2013. Since they did not have accreditation, they contacted Vincent Aziza one of the heads of the vigilante Group of the church to seek permission to cover the event. Vincent Aziza then asked the two journalists to wait at the security post guarded by a military officer. Aziza explained to the military officer why the two journalists had to wait there while he consults officials of the church to seek clarification as to whether to allow the media cover the event or not. While waiting at the security post, Aziza keeps going back and forth and when they enquire about the progress, Aziza tells them to give him time since he was yet to hear from officials of the church. Aziza’s attention was more on crowd control and the journalists waited till about 10AM when the wise men arrived. While the wise men started their work, the Journalists were still at the security post waiting for Aziza’s feedback. At around 1PM, Multi TV crew were also brought to the security post to wait for Aziza’s feedback on whether filming by journalists would be authorised or not. The Multi TV crew immediately started calling theirbosses in the office to inform them about the situation. In just about 20 minutes time, personnel from the Ghana Police Service arrived at the security post demanding to know what the situation was. After narrating what happened, the police escorted the journalists out of the premises of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN). The two Journalists from Kencity Media Limited(NET2 TV/Oman FM)Abdul Wahab Giwah and Seth Quaku Yeboah will like to put on record that they were not kept against their will for it to amount to detention. According to them, they were free to leave without covering the event but their desire to cover the event at all cost coupled with securing permission to do socoming very late kept them long at the security post. Abdul Wahab Giwah and Seth Quaku Yeboah explain that upon hearing of the alleged detention in the media, Prophet T.B Joshua directed Rev.Samuel Exellence PROof the church in ghana to apologise for the incident on that same day Rev.Exellence called Abdul Wahab Giwah to apologise on behalf of the Man of God One of the wise men also publicly apologised at a church service onWednesday May 9th 2013

TB JOSHUA- THE PROVE OF GOD’S POWER AND EXISTENCE

ARTICLE SOURCES

As far as spiritual warfare is concerned the first place that comes to one’s mind is the Synagogue Church of all Nation headed by the fascinating man of God, Tb Joshua. SCOAN has distinguished itself among others in the deliverance ministry due to the massive and life changing deliverance that always take place every service day that includes pastors, prophets and their wives. Those delivered every service day are so massive that many viewers around the world through the emmanuel.tv channel wonder if they themselves don’t need to be delivered due to their experience from others that have undertaken deliverance. The deliverance in SCOAN has been one of the most educative experience in the world, the awareness of the existence of Satan and his agent is on the increase among the people who take everything for granted in the name of modernity, human have always seen Satan as an enemy but can’t imagine that Satan can possess and used them to fulfill his own mission on earth.

DADYIn the world of today many individual are skeptical about the existence of God and religion; they do say man created god and religion. These set of people have always looked for means to support their philosophy of the non-existence of God, and most of these skeptics that are advocating the non-existence of God most time involved in occultism and Satanism. As far as this world is concerned, there are spiritual forces in the heavenly places that are beyond human comprehension, and those who have being able to clairvoyance their existence, do so with some kind of spiritual energy and committed devotion to network with this creatures. I always ask if modernity eliminate spiritual forces which both Satan and his demons are part of. If you can reasoned with me, you will find out that most of all this inspiration about God non-existence are from the pit of hell to turn man’s believe away from God, Satan is the ruler of the world, he is already judged and condemned for eternity, but want man to suffer with him in hell but still, many persons sees all this as mere story from religion fanatics and are not concerned about the things of the spirit and satanic vices. Many even see all this deliverance in SCOAN as scam, hypnotize and stage manage, but the confession and personal experience of those delivered are not taken into consideration, we are only concerned about the process of the deliverance not the outcome even the cases of stiff opposition are lost off from our memories.

As children of God we should be very sensitive to the devices of Satan, all of this ideology about anti-faith healing, and the saying that god and religion are created by man are all part of the strategy of Satan and his demons to turn man against God. Also known that, any alleged prophecy (by pastor, prophet, or any group) about the end of the world, crisis among different religions body, advanced scientific discovery with occult background to make Christianity look incorrect, the so much argument about when this long existing world will come to an end; when will the world be judged and many others are all satanic strategies to disprove Gods existence. As Christians the Bible is our standard the coming of Christ and the end of the world is not known by anyone including the son of God, Jesus. But, any one that tell you that with one calculation, study of the earth and any prophecy from some world respected religion body about the end of the world are all deceptive strategies from Satan to make mockery about true religion and to disprove the existence of God. Also true believers are not against scientific discovering because God is the one that motivate scientist to discover, but any philosopher of science and other field of study that their ideology are in contradiction with God’s existences, should not be acceptable because God is the creator of the universe whether you believe it or not.

TB Joshua True or False Prophet? – Response

TB Joshua of The Synagogue Church of all Nations
TB Joshua of The Synagogue Church of all Nations

It is surprising that an esteemed paper like Zimbabwe Daily could publish such untruths about T.B.Joshua. The best and proper way of conducting investigations is to contact T.B Joshua himself to confirm or deny the allegations before publishing the article. It behooves you to also do a proper check on the individuals who have made the allegations and why they made them. Were they aggrieved persons? Why did they leave the ministry and what were their motives?

I realised that most of your research was from the internet/ secondary sources and that is bad enough for a professional journalist of your standing. Granted that most of your writing was from the internet, you also took a chunk of your writing from attacks on the prophet by so called questionable pastors like Chris Okotie. It is clear that your main purpose is to discredit T.B. Joshua and his ministry.

I don’t know how patriotic you are and I wouldn’t be surprised if one day you turn your pen against Mugabe without cross checking facts with him. Don’t be surprised, that is how it starts and before you realize it has become a social canker.

Peter kayode was the head of the Ghana branch of Synagogue until he was relieved from his post. Being aggrieved, he threw caution to the wind by making all sorts of allegations without evidence just to discredit the man of God. His successor Agomoh also followed the steps of kayode with his nefarious acts only to be booted from the Ghana branch. They all had one thing in common, they pounced on unsuspecting and gullible members of the congregation either sleeping with them or soliciting large amounts of monies from them. If they resigned on their own accord then that should be another thing, but in this case they were pushed out because they were not bearing good fruit.

And for a balance article you should have fallen back on your main source which was the internet and taken T.B Joshua’s responses to these allegations which could also be found on the internet. That would have shown your maturity as an open minded journalist but you failed the test. To say you are a bigot is understatement. I rest my case.

‘Why I Didn’t Attend College’ – TB Joshua

Another enlightening interview with Prophet TB Joshua, where he talks more on his early life and education, as well as his passion for compassion…

Looking at the growth of your church across the world today, would you say you ever thought that you could take evangelism to this level when you started Synagogue’s ministry?
Since it is a vision from God – a vision from God always materialises. You may not understand how it happens. There is always a driving force which no one can resist. When that vision comes, which is God’s purpose, and when that purpose manifests in our lives, it changes our actions and our location. Those who have vision concentrate on their aims and their goal.

"I have no life of my own. The only life I have is for Christ."

But in between your vision and the purpose of God, kindly tell us how you were able to weather the storm in those times when your church was facing series of criticisms from some sections of the Christian fold?
The vision is from God, like I told you. He is the one that plans the future. That is how we know people of God.

Are you telling us that you don’t feel it, particularly when some prominent clergymen were kicking against you and your church? What informed your calmness and your refusal to reply your critics?
Well, in the book of Psalm 91, when you continue reading from verse 15, it says, “I would see you through.” That does not mean you would not encounter trials, like persecution – but God promised to see you through. Therefore, anything that is close to Jesus receives attack, even if it is a pen.

Okay, can you tell us about yourself. Who is Prophet TB Joshua?
(Laughs) The man TB Joshua is a man like you. If there is any difference, it is the grace of God and that grace is not worked for. The word ‘grace’ means after we must have done everything humanly possible, we must leave the issue with God. That is grace.

Several great men of God like you have told the stories of their divine calling. Can you share yours with us?
I have told you I am a man, just like you. Except for the grace of God, I would be nobody – and that grace is the opposite of merit – human labour, education or human wisdom. Your papers are marked when you go to school, but you can’t mark the character. In the case of God, after you must have done everything humanly possible, you have to leave it for God. You have no choice than to leave the issue for God to mark it. That is grace. So, let no man boast.

Remember, I asked about the story of your calling…
I think I have answered that TB Joshua is just a man like you. If there is any difference, it is just the grace, and that grace, one should not boast of it.

Your church has been dolling out millions of naira to the aged, widows and several less privileged people in the society. What is the motivation behind this?
The Bible says ‘Watch and pray’. When the Bible says ‘watch’ – this is where charity comes in. So, the acts of charity and righteousness by faith in Christ Jesus go together.

The Synagogue Church Of All Nations has been able to break the barrier of colour across the world by bringing white and black people together. How did you do it?
It is Christ. Don’t say ‘Synagogue’ please – the church is all about Jesus. Synagogue is just a name. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. What Jesus gave us is not limited to certain areas. The Bible says, if you can believe, all things are possible. The capacity in our Lord Jesus Christ is not restricted by time and distance.

If you say everything is all about Jesus, you have been able to perform several unprecedented miracles and set up committees that reconciled sworn enemies in Liberia, particularly Samuel Doe’s family. Does that mean Jesus loves only Prophet TB Joshua to have been able to do all these?
It is not man’s business at all. The way and manner Jesus executes His plans in our lives differs. Some prophets use their talents for their immediate localities while others are endowed to move round the globe. Don’t also forget that some also operate within their nations. The book of Corinthians says some were given different gifts like prophecy, deliverance power, healing etc. – while some have all. It is just by His grace and no one should boast.

From the way you preach and teach, you sound as if you were a lecturer before you took up a pastoral job. What is your academic background?
(Laughs) Lecturer? No. Well, I have a primary school certificate. That is all. That is where I stopped. Whatever you see me doing now, may be like an enlightened person, it is by the grace of God.

You mean you never attended secondary school or university?
Eh! University? That is too much. I tried to get admission into form one in those days after completing primary school. I attended almost ten secondary schools in an attempt to get admission into secondary school in Lagos State. I had to sit at home on my own for extramural lectures without a teacher for many years before I was able to sit for GCE. But all efforts to secure secondary school admission failed. I have my papers which I cannot boast was on merit. The grade I made on merit was my primary school certificate.

What were you doing after acquiring your primary school certificate? Did you attend any Bible or Pastoral college?
After my primary school education, I started gathering little children by visiting parents to ask if they wanted somebody to care for their kids by teaching them the Bible. I have never attended any seminary school or Bible college in my life.

So, that was how you started evangelism. But at least, you must have been part of a church before you started your own ministry?
I was a member of the Anglican Church before I founded The Synagogue. In fact, I was made the Chairman of the Children’s Harvest committee twice or thrice in my village. When I came to Lagos, I never attended any church.

You have been prophesying for several countries and all your prophecies came to pass. I remember you did call for prayers before Bhutto was assassinated in Pakistan. But does your silence on prophecy concerning Nigeria mean God has not been revealing to you things about this country?
It is in our record book. Come to our church on Sunday and you would be given a record of prophecies about your country. If you are not backed up by heaven, you cannot just see things on your own. Prophecy is not just a mere thing like that.

How do you spend your leisure periods?
As Mr TB Joshua or Prophet TB Joshua? Because I think you have been talking to Prophet TB Joshua.

Well, both if you don’t mind?
The way Prophet TB Joshua unwinds? I have no life of my own. The only life I have is for Christ. Christ is my joy and everything. The life I live is not my own, but in Jesus Christ.

Does that mean that you spend 24 hours meditating about the Word of God without any relaxation moment?
I am a full time pastor. Since I am not into part time evangelism, all my life – i live for Christ. That is me for you. Even during my birthday, I don’t understand what people are doing by celebrating. I don’t know, because I am not involved. It is all about Jesus.

Prophet T.B. Joshua’s Rising Profile

A columnist for Daily Independent, Dan Amor, wrote this piece on the rising profile of Prophet TB Joshua…

That the modern age is an era of great religious speculation will be apparent to even the most casual student of its literature; that it is also an age of great religious faith no one can contest. As things stand, it is evident that not a few contemporaries would be disposed to concur with the popular view that men cannot do without religion, and that they cannot all do with it as it is. But, surely, it is the dialogue of the human mind with itself that characterizes man’s continuous search for spiritual meaning in the modern would. Yet, presently, Nigerian men of God have set their stamp more strongly on the general character of the Christian religion as a way of life. During the last few decades, our generation in particular has seen a re-orientation of our mind and soul, which implies not only a permanent change but, indeed, a shifting of the spiritual horizon, with far-reaching results. All these swiftly rising new men of God in Nigeria, whose names we now recognize as stimulating signals, have one thing in common: they are fully and truly committed. And their congregations greet them with enthusiasm, no matter the location.

One of these anointed servants of the Most High is the man who is the focus of our attention today. It is BeFunky_FeaturedEffects_2hardly an exaggeration to say that Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, who will clock 50 on Wednesday June 12, 2013, more than any of his contemporaries, has exerted a tremendous influence on the spiritual and economic life of his teeming congregation in particular and humanity at large. This piece is not an attempt to embark on a deconstruction of T.B. Joshua. In fact, I have never met this man of God, neither have I exchanged correspondence with him since the past fifteen years of my involvement in this busy profession of minding other people’s business, especially its most intricate and intellectually engaging aspect, the business of informed commentary and editorial writing. Admittedly, to offer an honest critical evaluation of the whole corpus of criticisms of this controversial pastor is certainly an ambitious undertaking. But it would be more rational to repudiate the cynical over-simplification by fifth columnists and court jesters whose major pre-occupation it is to ridicule someone who has practically and positively ministered to the vast majority of the downtrodden. It is certainly not the business of this column to question the fabrics of the moving saga that wove into autonomous existence the circumstances that surround the dramatic emergence of this spiritual challenger.

Amidst the ponderous saga of some “holier-than-thou” men of God who tax their congregations to build schools, colleges and universities to which they (members) cannot afford to send their children due to exorbitant fees, Joshua has awarded scholarship to thousands of his members and even beyond. His consistent life style has already given proof of his individuality as a true servant of God. And the manifest hand of God that radiates through his ministration has drawn many lost sheep back to the Body of Christ. A close look at the circumstances of his life shows that Prophet Joshua was born with the natural requirements for a calling of an ideal tendency. In recent times, I have heard not less than three pastors, hitherto doubtful of Joshua’s spiritual credentials, now testifying openly that TB is a true servant of God. One of them even confessed at a meeting recently, where yours sincerely was in attendance, that but for his strong attachment and loyalty to his superintendent, he would have resigned to become one of Joshua’s ministers. Whatever is responsible for this bout of proclamation, the truth is that in spite of the antics of his detractors schooled in the pull-him-down (PHD) syndrome, Joshua possesses a heroic pathos, and has infested in our very eyes an uncommon spiritual candour. Had Thomas Paine watched Joshua closely during his day he would probably not have made his famous declaration that “religion is the opium of the masses.”

As a testimony to his rising profile, Joshua has a large flock of Christian believers from Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America and his healing power makes headline news in media houses around the world. Again, The Synagogue Church of All Nations at its Ikotun, Lagos headquarters, has played host to very important dignitaries from across the world. The tremendous growth in population of his ministry apparently accounts for the equally large viewership of his television network programme known as “Emmanuel TV”. As a hard working, loyal and dedicated spiritual bulldozer who can shrink up the sundering seas, level all intruding mountains, bridge all gulfs and put a lamp in every tunnel, TB Joshua is undoubtedly a spiritual phenomenon whose corpus requires a large canvas. It is incontestable that the spiritual seriousness of the present times, so conspicuous in most Nigerian Christians, is due in no small part to evangelical Christianity, which has coloured the beliefs and practices of so large a segment of the populace. For, much as practical evangelism has nurtured the need for a religious faith in our society, it has inadvertently made allowance for the major ideological developments of the age.

One of such biblical statements which have become the foundation for human ideological creeds is the command by Jesus Christ for Christians to give to the poor and needy. On this score, Prophet Joshua dwarfs all superlatives, at least in Nigeria. Whereas most men of God tax their congregations (sometimes to breaking point) to acquire aeroplanes and jets to fly all over the world, Joshua is one of the few men of God who have seen the need to invest in human capital. It is against the backdrop of this philanthropic activity that the Federal Government recently awarded Joshua the national honour of Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR). Bamber Gascoigne, the British journalist and television personality, in his book The Christians, says: “Whether He was God, man or myth, one thing is certain about Jesus Christ. He has made more impact upon the world than any other person in history.” In fact, if I am tempted to refer to Prophet T.B. Joshua as a bundle of sublimity, it is because of his vitality; and it is the sheer humility and gentility in him that make for this position. Nor is this vitality any less obvious in his actions. For anyone who has ever tried to explain the making of a complete servant of God knows that goodness must be allowed to speak for itself.

In any case, those opposed to T.B. Joshua are entitled to their opinion. And if Jesus Christ was Himself called all sorts of names and ridiculed by His people, who else is above human condemnation? God, alone, is the true judge!

Life Full of Choices – TB Joshua

Mammoth crowd that attended the second Saturday and Sunday services of The SCOAN held on the 3rd and 4th of November 2012 reflected the dynamism of the ministry.

Prophet T.B. Joshua announced the theme of his message – A LIFE FULL OF CHOICES and profoundly attested that “One of the greatest gifts God has given to us is the freedom to make a decision”. He said, “Those of us who have fallen, made a decision and those who have not fallen, faced similar temptation but made a different decision”. He said that we all fight similar battles, just camouflaged differently. The prophet said that the love of God is not religious conduct and behaviour but comes through the intercessory work of His Son, Jesus Christ.

TB Joshua Reveales The Seccret of Faith

In a message that was briefly started during the live Saturday service and firmly continued during the Sunday Service, Prophet T.B. Joshua unveiled, in his own words, ‘The Secret Of Faith.’ In the message, he said, “Jesus Christ is the surety of every Word from Matthew 1 to Revelation 22. No Word from God is void of fulfilment for God watches over His Word to perform it. If any Scripture should go by default, Jesus becomes responsible.”

Speaking of the bold confidence a believer has to approach the throne of grace in prayers and supplication, he added, “When you know that the Lord is on your side, your heart becomes quiet. You look up into His face and whisper your request and you know it is going to be granted because it is your Father who is on the throne, it is your Lord who is seated by His side.”

He concluded that faith was not abstract as it could be practiced and told the congregation that despite the challenges life would throw at them, faith was there for them through it all. “In your challenges in life, faith is there for you,” he said. A time of testimonies, mostly concerning the Anointing Water, preceded the powerful message.

URINATION WITHOUT OPERATION

Mr Austin Uba, from Imo State, Nigeria came to the church with his wife, Rose and son, Kinsgley to thank God for His wonderful work in his life. He had suffered from a urinary tract blockage, such that he was unable to urinate for a painful period of months. He was referred to India for an operation, by a doctor who had given him a catheter to enable him to pass urine. However, he was told the operation, if conducted, would only have a 50/50 chance of success and there was a high probability that he may not be functional as a man thereafter. Having seen God’s power in action on Emmanuel TV, he decided to come to The SCOAN for healing. After receiving the Anointing Water, he prayed and sprayed it on the affected area as well as in his mouth.

Merely hours later in his hotel room, Mr Uba, to his greatest surprise and delight passed his urine normally without the use of the catheter! Upon returning to the hospital, the doctor said he no longer needed an operation as he was already healed. Mr Uba encouraged people to look up to God and counselled them that He could do for them what He had done for him.

A COCKTAIL OF DRUGS AND DESTRUCTION
Mr Raphael Kpogli from Ghana had been a drug seller, smoker and addict for some 30 years, dealing specifically in heroin, Indian hemp (marijuana) and cocaine, while living a life of recklessness, waste and violence. In a shocking account of the debilitating and destiny-decaying effects of drug addiction, he narrated his sordid life experiences. He literally had to smoke a ‘cocktail’ of these drugs before going to bed, talking communicably with people or even eating, his wife and children always afraid of him at home due to his erratic nature. Having travelled to over six countries as a drug dealer, he acknowledged that although he never used a gun, he had caused multiple deaths by introducing drugs to people. His insatiable lust for this ‘cocktail’ of chaos crippled him financially as he sold cars, properties and even stole his wife’s clothes and jewelleries to sell to pay for his indulgence. A once thriving and intelligent man was reduced to a nervous and hate-filled wreck, staying in a single room in a house for months on end and only emerging to purchase more of the poison that was slowly crippling and killing him.

However, his wife, whom never doubted that one day God would turn her husband around, kept praying for his life to change and stood by him through thick and thin. When a few drops at the bottom of a bottle of Anointing Water were given to the Kpogli’s, Mr Raphael had no idea that within them contained the freedom he so sorely needed. After ministering the Anointing Water, Mr Kpogli said he felt a cold sensation envelop his body, as if a wave of liquid love was cascading through his entire system and reverberating within to eject all dependency on drugs and the darkness that embodied them. Mr Kpogli, who was about to embark on a rare journey to Accra, was worried at how he would complete the journey without taking the drugs. However, after many hours of travelling without even a thought of the substance, he realised that all previous craving for the drugs had disappeared. He tucked into a hearty meal and completed it, the first meal he had finished without taking drugs in 30 years. After three weeks of a drug-free life, he travelled to The SCOAN to share this life-changing testimony, exhorting friends who were still in the same business to abandon a life fuelled and filled by drugs which had reduced most of them to criminality. He said people must depend on God to be released from their plagues and a life of uncertainty.

TUTORSHIP FROM ABOVE
Miss Taffy Mukombami came all the way from Ireland to share her remarkable testimony. The Zimbabwean student explained that she had been both stressed and depressed because of the challenges she had faced to gain citizenship in Ireland. However, after discovering Emmanuel TV, her situation changed drastically. After being opportune to receive the Anointing Water, she prayerfully sprayed it on her application form for citizenship and sent it off. To her greatest surprise, a couple of months later, her residency was granted, something that some people had been waiting years to receive!

Aside from this, Taffy had also been facing difficulties with her Master of Arts Programme and almost took a year off due to the tremendous stress and pressure. However, at the verge of giving up, she saw Prophet T.B Joshua appear in her dream, take her to the library and show her the books she needed to study to perform excellently in her academic pursuits. Upon waking up, she was shocked to discover that the books he had divinely pointed out to her were exactly what she had been looking for. After the submission of her thesis, which she proudly showed the congregation, she explained that her results were suggestive of her obtaining a First Class a result, an achievement she knows is a product of Divine providence.

BARRENNESS EXPELLED
After being barren for nine long years, Mr and Mrs Ebong Victory came to The SCOAN to share their wonderful testimony. Medically, the couple had been diagnosed as having a low sperm count. Mrs Ebong had come to The SCOAN in April 2012, got the Anointing Water and prayed with her husband. After a month of administering some, she became pregnant. She promised to come for thanksgiving soon, with her child. Her husband was obviously full of happiness as he stood close to her in church. She said people should trust in God have faith because He is the Author and Finisher of our faith.

In another wonderful testimony to God’s provision of fruitfulness, a video was replayed showing Prophet T.B. Joshua prophesying to a woman, asking her of a medical report and revealing that her stomach had been cut though the purpose was neither achieved nor her menstruation regular. Mr & Mrs Anvor Ely from South Africa came forward in response to the video. After many years of barrenness, Mrs Anvor had undergone an operation in her womb but the result remained unsuccessful. However, after visiting The SCOAN and receiving the prophecy from Prophet T.B. Joshua, the couple decided to trust in God for supernatural provision.

They narrated how after the prophecy, Prophet T.B. Joshua had counselled them in the office, stating that the sickness was ‘cancelled’ and giving them Anointing Water. After ministering it and continuing to trust in God, building their faith by listening to messages on Emmanuel TV, Mrs Ely became pregnant! She stood before The SCOAN congregation to testify that she was now several months pregnant, to the glory of God! Mr Ely thanked God for the inspiring messages on Emmanuel TV and exhorted viewers that Jesus has the solution to all fundamental issues of life.

POSSESSED BY PORNOGRAPHY
A video was replayed in which Prophet TB Joshua prophesied to a woman about her marriage and how the internet had played an active role in their relationship. Coming forward with her husband to confirm the prophecy, Mrs MacAlexander explained to the congregation how the prophecy was true. A Kenyan working in Nigeria, she said she had not seen her husband more than twice in two years due to his regular travels but they talked trough the internet.

They would regularly strip naked before each other on a webcam and even engage in household activities such as cooking while viewing each other’s nudity. However, both soon took to watching pornography on the internet to satisfy themselves, soon birthing an addiction that almost crippled their marriage. The few occasions they did manage to spend time together, Mrs MacAlexander explained that the couple had no affection for each other whatsoever and she had determined within to leave the marriage before the prophecy was given. Although she had a well paid job, she explained that she could not give any account of how she spent the money, adding that after she had started viewing pornography, she began to sleep with a strange man in her dreams.

Her husband, Alexander, from Imo State, Nigeria, reiterated what his wife had said. They had met in Nairobi, Kenya five years ago but had barely spent months together as he was a regular traveller. After talking on the internet, he also had resorted to masturbation and pornography, too. He explained he began to have harrowing dreams of sleeping with a strange woman and finding himself in a cemetery with dead people. Career wise, despite connections and experience as a music producer, he found himself in a cycle of disappointment and missed opportunities.

Prophet TB Joshua spoke on the tortuous nature of pornography, a sin he stated was even worse than fornication. He said up to 70% of the world populace struggled with pornography, specifying that the youth in particular were affected. Following their confession, TB Joshua assured the couple that deliverance, restoration and reconciliation would follow and they would not leave The SCOAN unless they were completely free.

FROM CHURCH-BOY TO CULT-LEADER
A video was replayed in which a young man manifested after prayer from Wise Man Racine at The SCOAN prayer line and the spirit spoke through him that it was a strong man which has been in him since birth. Chinedu Anagor and his parents came forward following the clip to share their experiences. Chinedu, a graduate of music from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, was an obedient, trustworthy and churchgoing young man before his entrance into university. However, influence from bad friends and a desire to feel part of the ‘crowd’ led the intelligent student to delve into the dark arrays of cultism, as he was initiated into the ‘Buccaneers’. Confessing that his parents were hearing this for the first time, Chinedu explained how he displayed a different attitude at home while growing steadily deeper into cultism and its attendant diabolic activities at school.

His roles in the cult graduated to include initiating other students, consulting oracles on the cult’s behalf and acting as a bodyguard to the cult leader – all high ranking positions. With little concentration on his academic career, Chinedu ended up spending 10 years in university before graduating, deceiving his parents that he had completed his course whereas actually he hadn’t. He confessed to the fact that he raped girls, caused violence and threatened people, though maintaining a pretence of calmness and coolness to the casual onlooker. Through God’s influence, he was finally delivered at The SCOAN, after which he began to genuinely regret his past actions for the first time. Falling to his knees in tears, he begged T.B. Joshua to assist him to apologise to his parents for his disrespect and lifestyle of lies and deceit. Shedding tears, his aged father embraced his son, as the congregation looked on, many themselves wiping tears from their eyes at the touching reconciliation and incredible change in the life of Chinedu through the deliverance. Prophet T.B. Joshua counselled parents to learn a lesson from Chinedu’s experience and ensure their children are regularly in the house of God.

ABILITY IN DISABILITY
One of the events of the day was the giving of scholarships to various physically challenged students who are part of The SCOAN Scholarship Scheme. The students were given different sums of money according to their various scholastic needs, totalling N3 million. They included the blind, crippled, deformed and amputees. One of the spokespersons of the group, Olurundere Adenike, said she had no support for education, and when admitted to the University of Lagos, she had dropped out for lack of funds. However, she eventually gained admission to the University of Ibadan to read Languages and English, requesting assistance from Prophet T.B. Joshua and Emmanuel TV Partners to pursue her academic dreams of excellence. Also, Emmanuel Aderemi, a student of Political Science, University of Lagos, also spoke on the uniqueness of the opportunity given them to be part of the Scholarship program.

The service was concluded in a fiery Mass Prayer in which the finger of God Almighty manifested mightily among the congregants. As the Prophet remarked, what a God we have to worship, what a son we have to praise and what a future lies before us. To those whose lives are centred in Christ Jesus, better is not good enough; the best is yet to come.
