NEWSPAPER INTERVIEW WITH PROPHET TB JOSHUA

Here are excerpts from an interview which Prophet TB Joshua had with some journalists several weeks ago at The SCOAN Prayer Mountain. It was published today in This Day Newspapers.

QUESTION: What motivated the vision to create this Prayer Mountain, a ‘wilderness’ in an urban area?

ANSWER: This is where I started. I must have a library and a place where I can enjoy nature, not the air condition or fan, just nature as God created it. So, having nature around you is very good. God is nature Himself and without nature, you cannot understand the Bible. Because the Bible is not history; when you are reading the Bible, you are reading the Holy Spirit. So, if you don’t allow nature when you are reading, you will be reading history. You need some places like this – where you leave everything outside and come and hear the cocks’ crow. But outside of here, whatever they are doing, you can’t hear because of the noise. So, this place is very important to me – this is where I live, this is where I sleep and do everything.

If I want to meet people outside of here, I go outside. There is a time for that because the Bible says that there is time to rest and a time to work. Time to rest is time to receive from God and time to work is time to give what you receive from God. When you talk of time to rest, this is the best place to rest, not in the midst of technology or going to New York or travelling about but you rest in the midst of nature.

QUESTION – How did this Prayer Mountain start, given that this place was once a swamp?

ANSWER – This swamp is the rejected stone. God spoke to me and brought me here. I have been following God’s vision, God’s mission. When I am out of God’s mission, I am finished. That is why you cannot see me outside of here; you cannot hear me.

God’s time is the best and I always follow God’s time. So, I have been following God’s time; that is why you will not see me preach every Sunday or go on television to preach every day. I must hear from God before saying anything. Every time can be good for you and every time can be the best time for you but for me, I must have a corresponding grace or power because the Holy Spirit must suggest what to do before I do them. If not, I will not be able to have God’s result.

This is why you are not seeing me out there – at weddings, social occasions, coming to your offices to grant interviews. This is the only church – The SCOAN here in Ikotun. There is no other branch anywhere else in the world but it touches everywhere in the world. I am waiting for God to let me know if there will be branches or not; the important thing is that we should focus on building the people and not the church.

QUESTION – Why don’t you open up this place for tourists?

ANSWER – The people will soon get to know about it. We are just waiting for God’s time. There are many things to be done in this place. We are at about a 70 per cent completion rate. So, if people should know about this place now, we would not be able to complete this job because it will cause distraction. When we are at about 95 per cent completion level, we will let people know. It is going to be by grace. It is not something you pay money for; you can come and see people moving and praying. So, people will get to know; we are waiting for God’s time.

QUESTION – What do you have to say about your family and their involvement in the ministry?

ANSWER – I am very happy about this question. I have a wife and I have children. My first daughter is doing her PhD and my second daughter is doing her master’s degree. In all, I have three daughters. The last one is still in secondary school. I would have loved my wife to be like me but I cannot make her what I am; it is God. I can’t anoint her; God is the one that anoints people. This is not a biological issue; it is an inheritance from the saints – being a partaker of the inheritance from the saints. So, therefore, I should not use anything in my biological life to stop my spiritual life.

As for my divine nature, I am a partaker of the inheritance of the saints. This is an apostolic ministry; it is not a ministry where you read the Bible, go to theology school, get your certificate and you start preaching! No. It is purely divine. So, it is so difficult for me to display my wife, she has to be ready for God. As much as you are ready for God, God will display you.

QUESTION – How do you take such criticism that your ministry has faced?

ANSWER – It is always good if at the beginning they don’t see what is good about you. If they don’t see your journey at the beginning, they will criticise you. It is good for you in the end. So, if they praise you from the beginning, it is not encouraging. If Nigerians have been accepting me right from the beginning of my mission, I think that would have affected my mission to the world.

I have gone all over the world. I am the first minister of God that went to Nazareth, Israel where Jesus was born and organised a revival there and the news was carried in newspapers all over the world. After the crusade, a certificate was given to me by the State of Israel. That is the greatest joy for any minister of God!

QUESTION – But why was there so much controversy about the Nazareth Crusade?

ANSWER – Because it happened to Jesus, I cannot be greater than my Master. A tenant cannot be greater than his landlord. If the landlord is criticised, who is a tenant? That is exactly what happened to Jesus. They said no. The Muslims were on the streets protesting along with Christians, Catholics and all. But I let them know that God sent me to do the revival in Israel. And top Israeli government functionaries came. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also sent his representative.

Coronavirus Questions and Answers with Prophet TB Joshua

The prophet has answered some question concerning his declaration on the coronavirus epidemic, he stated that people are profiting from the situation at hand and that the effect of the epidemic will be felt throughout the year.

Below is the transcript on the questions and answers released on the SCOAN official social media pages:

QUESTION – Prophet TB Joshua, what shall we call this period we are in – where you cannot give your neighbour a handshake, you cannot cough in public, travel to Jerusalem or Mecca for pilgrimage has been prohibited, people no longer share the Holy Communion cup, Pope Francis is performing Mass through video, many churches are holding services online, universities such as Harvard have closed, in many countries there are no gatherings of people more than ten and even President Trump said the situation is “not under control”. What can you say?

ANSWER – Don’t forget what Jesus said to His disciples, to Simon Peter in Luke 22:32 – “I pray your faith will not fail.” It is a prophetic word. Jesus was prophesying about what was to come – a time like this. He knew something was coming that would challenge our faith, that would take the faith from many, that would stop people from worshipping. But I don’t see anything to panic about because Jesus said in John 16:33 – “In this world, you will have tribulation – but cheer up; I have overcome the world.”

Don’t forget what I said at the beginning of the year – “Work of God – people will be getting tired this year because the work of God is not by power and might; because of so many challenges, tribulations and burdens they will not be able to bear.” Real faith thrives on a test. If there was nothing serious in the past to test our faith, here is something to test our faith in a unique way – a real situation. What an opportunity to grow in faith, in our relationship with God! What can separate us from the love of God (Romans 8:38-39)? Can the coronavirus? Can death? Nothing! As 1 Corinthians 10:13 says, He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear.

QUESTION – You said the voice of the coronavirus will be silenced by the end of this month but President Trump said it may linger until July or August. For re-emphasis, we want to hear from you again because there is so much fear and panic.

ANSWER – I say again – it is the remnants we are seeing. The real coronavirus is gone. What we are seeing now are the remnants. But what the coronavirus has caused – economic backlash, fear – will linger until the end of the year.

QUESTION – How do we overcome fear?

ANSWER – What is fear? How do you define fear? Fear means you are not in line with God, you are not with God. Fear exposes the level of our relationship with God. Fear exposes the kind of relationship we have with our Creator – God. Fear exposes who we serve, who we believe. Fear means we are not serving God with all our hearts. Fear means we are not such in heart. The opening of the eyes of our faith will be the silencing of our fears.

QUESTION – What are we to expect at the end of this month?

ANSWER – I have said it! How many times do you want me to say it? How many times do you want to hear it?

QUESTION – But are we to continue with the coronavirus?

ANSWER – The name of God has always been used for possible things – but faith is for impossible things. We are using God’s name for possible things, not impossible. People’s lives have been like this. This coronavirus has only exposed us. Our challenges determine where we are spiritually. Challenges reveal the true condition of man’s heart. Challenges reveal where we belong. Remember, faith is for impossible things.

QUESTION – If I may be clear, you said the voice of coronavirus will be silenced by the end of this month. Are we right?

ANSWER – Well, I will not blame you, because you live by what you see and what you hear. I am telling you what is to come. Thank God you cannot change it, because people are profiting from the situation at hand.

PRAYER TO USHER YOU INTO 2018 – PROPHET TB JOSHUA

Viewers all over the world, Happy New Year! What do you understand by ‘New Year’? It is a gift from God – a part of the Divine nature of God. In the New Year therefore, you are called to God’s kind of lifestyle – His divine essence in terms of faithfulness, steadfastness and love.

God is the reason for the year. If God is the reason, nothing of God can be possible unless our heart is pure. Jesus said in Matthew 5:8 – “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God”. Psalm 66:18 says, “If we regard inequity in our heart, the Lord will not hear us”. To regard inequity is to hold offence, pain of the past and bitterness. When you hold a grudge against a brother, you have already grieved the Holy Spirit.

Let us remove every barrier between our heart and the Spirit of God. Viewers, I command that barrier to be removed in the name of Jesus. Be removed! Be removed, in the name of Jesus! This barrier could be an unforgiving spirit, holding offence or pain of the past. Whatever wall, whatever barrier, I command it to be removed. Let there be relationship! Let the relationship between you and God in this New Year be reestablished in Jesus’ Name! Receive a free spirit – a spirit that is free from offence, bitterness, unforgiveness and pain of the past. Receive it in Jesus’ name, I command!

Jesus started with prayer. Prayer is the master key. Let me usher you into the New Year with prayer. Viewers, “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God”. I believe your relationship with God has been reestablished because our heart is the prayer room. Let us pray!

At the command of Jesus, Peter walked on the sea. At the command of Jesus, Blind Bartimaeus regained his sight. I command every unfavourable situation in your life to cease, to end with the year 2017, in Jesus Christ’s name. In your career, business, health, marriage, family, country – let every unfavourable situation end with 2017! That career that has been asleep, that business that has been asleep, that health that has been asleep – I say, “Good morning to you all!” It is a new dawn! Happy New Year!

Viewers, I know there is something you want me to mention – the prophecy for the year. We must wait for God’s time to make this known to you.

T.B. Joshua: Exposed AT Last! (PART TWO)

This is the continuation of the part one of the article: TB Joshua: Exposed AT Last!

MY VISIT TO THE SCOAN

Since I could not pay my sister’s medical bills, the hospital management later asked me to take her home; for it would be better she died at home. After taking her home, I left for Lagos and that was a week and two days after my encounter with the nurse, who advised me to go to SCOAN to see if the anointing there could help expose the evil powers behind my continuous failure, limitations in progress and restore my Sister’s health. I traveled by land which made my journey stressful and hectic, on my way to the SCOAN, I almost encountered an accident which made me doubt the more about my awkward coming to the SCOAN. When I arrived, I lodged in a nearby hotel to rest my head in anticipation for the next day because I was anxiously waiting to see the SCOAN finally and find out for myself all what I had been hearing from people.

The next day which happened to be a Sunday I finally came to the SCOAN and that was the first time I entered the church. When I entered the Church auditorium, I thought I would find the horns of the devil and the sacrifices people had brought for sanctification in the church as I believed but what I saw was different. I saw a lot of frame containing Jesus and His disciples in the church’s ceiling and the beautiful altar of the man of God well decorated with grasses, rocks, a pool of pure water and fruits of different kinds. The building was no respecter of persons; no matter how rich or successful a person is, once you are inside SCOAN you look just ordinary. I liked that very much but I was not totally convinced until I saw the man of God live for the first time. Immediately, I felt the awesome presence of the Holy Spirit. What struck me most were the long hours we all endured in the presence of the Almighty; I enjoyed every moment of that experience.

I was seating at the new comers section; I sat with my fingers crossed as the Man of God moved around the new comers section. The Prophet moved towards me and told me he would like to speak to me, I felt uneasy and reluctant because of my past but I finally allowed him to speak to me. He started prophesying to me and he was very accurate; he told me about my past which comprised blasphemy, my cult life, demonic attacks and financial problem. Hearing all these, I was perplexed; in fact words could not explain how I felt at that spot.

He prophesied about my sister’s illness and declared her free of her illness; he also prayed for me. While the prayer was on, I just saw myself more like in the spiritual realm fighting with the demon in me. I finally won the demon I saw within me and found myself on the floor, I jumped up immediately and cleaned myself up; the man of God declared me free and congratulated me for my deliverance. SCOAN First Sunday of the year 2016

Being the first Sunday of the year 2016, the church service witnessed a massive turn-out of congregants who came with their hearts full of glorious expectations for the New Year. Ushering them into the fresh vista of a new beginning, the choir dramatised the reality on ground by assuring every worshipper that the fears of the out-gone year have been buried in the past. “I am no longer a slave to fear… I am a child of God”.

It was Prophet T.B. Joshua’s first appearance in The SCOAN after several months of physical absence. But as he would later tell the congregants, “You can see that your pastor did not go on holiday”. That short statement came on the heels of the massive demonstration of God’s power by the Holy Spirit through Prophet T.B. Joshua who prophesied and delivered many from the stranglehold of demonic forces. In less than thirty minutes, he had wreaked untold havoc on the kingdom of darkness!
