CHRIST WILL MAKE HIS HOME IN OUR HEARTS

PROPHET TThe SCOAN Sunday Service of February 15, 2015 was no doubt another huge success in the spiritual rejuvenation of God’s people. One thing that remains consistent with the church is its untiring resolve, passion for the salvation and redemption of mankind from all walks of life irrespective of gender or race. Hence, the name The Synagogue, Church of All Nations is not accidental but a fulfilment of the ministry’s God-given mandate to affect lives all over the world. It was therefore with an awe-inspiring approach that the entire congregation prepared their minds to receive the spiritual food dished out by the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua as well as the rich musical interjections by the spectacular Emmanuel Singers, a group whose reputation in musical ministration is soaring internationally.

Delivering his message titled CHRIST WILL MAKE HIS HOME IN YOUR HEARTS, the man of God affirmed that for our hearts to be qualified to be Christ’s home, we must put our trust in Him. We cannot claim to have Him in our hearts when our trust is on strange gods and deities. He cannot make our hearts his abode when our love for worldly pleasures supersedes our desire for Him. According to the man of God, who referred to the book of Romans 9:1,“Our heart is the communication/contact point. Christ dwells in our heart through faith. This means, it is the Word dwelling in you which is equivalent with Christ personally being in you. This means, Christ and the Word are one. If you know Christ and His Word are one, you bring Christ on the scene. Anytime you say, “In Jesus’ name”, you bring Christ on the scene instantly. Can’t you see the reason why you have not brought Jesus to the scene? Anytime you pray, you hear yourself, people around you hear you but Christ doesn’t hear you. When Christ doesn’t hear you and the people around you hear you, it is a dangerous mission”.

Animating the occasion with the popular Christian song Trust and Obey, Prophet T.B. Joshua analyses the way and manner in which Christ builds His home in our hearts through the Word: “As the Word dominates, rules and sanctifies our spirit’s nature, He is building Himself and making Himself a part of us. The faith bracelet will help you as you meditate the Word, it will dominate your heart; it will rule your heart and sanctify your spirit’s nature”. Speaking further, the man of God highlighted the relationship between meditating on the Word and uninhibited communion with God: “Meditation in the Word is a visit with God. As you meditate in the Word, it becomes part of us and we become a part of it. Meditation is not thinking but more than that because when we talk about thinking, we talk about the senses. Think more”.

Re-emphasising the essence of meditation in the life of a Christian, the man of God urged the congregation to embrace the practice as it affords them the opportunity of getting deeper insights into life and divine direction. He frowned on the lukewarm attitude of many towards the practice: “There is an area in our life we have neglected – meditation. There must be a quiet time when you sit down, imagine if this life is over, what is next. What you have never experienced before, think about that. Think of those who have gone. Think about what they left behind. This is what you have never heard. What you have never experienced before, think about it, if life is over. Think of those who have gone, friends, colleagues or relatives. After that, you can take your faith bracelet and begin to meditate”.

Explaining the role faith plays in our walk with God, Prophet T.B. Joshua stated that it is very difficult to please God without it. Hence, the need for Christians to exercise their faith at all times in order to be able to unleash their wonder-working potentials: “Only faith pleases God. Faith is perfected by our acting on the Word. How do you act on the Word? This is the secret. Faith comes through hearing the Word of God. There is more to that. Faith is hearing and obeying. You cannot obey that Word when the Word has not dominated, ruled and lived in your heart. Faith is like a coin. Faith is a Heavenly currency. You must take this Word to heart. It is what is dominating your heart that you can shout. This will replace everything”.

In conclusion, Prophet T.B. Joshua spoke on the secret of faith: “The secret of faith, the Word must dwell, live and rule your heart. Faith is perfected by our acting on the Word. The Word must dominate, rule and live in our heart. This is the secret of faith”. And for those who allow God to make His home in their hearts, Prophet T.B. Joshua describes them in the following words: “The Lord has given you a foundation. If today were your last day on earth, what will happen? You will begin to see revelation about yourself and others and from there, God will strengthen your mind to remember. The whole world doesn’t know what will happen next. This is what Christianity is all about – God’s opinion about yourself and others”.

TESTIMONIES

God is no respecter of persons and situations. No matter the problem; irrespective of how long it has existed, God will continue to level every situation to the glory of His name. FROM PAUPER TO PROPRIETOR

AKE LISIYINE PIUS (1)Akelisiyine Pius came to The SCOAN from Ghana with the problem of abject poverty (to the extent that he could not take care of his family).  Before going back to Ghana, he received the Anointing Water and believed that his life would turn around. After ministering the Anointing Water in the name of Jesus, he dreamt that Prophet T.B. Joshua was walking with him through a school. When he woke up, he started praying, although he had never had any previous thought of starting a school project. A few weeks later, his attention was brought to an abandoned school in his area. He purchased and took over the school and started operating in the middle of the academiAKE LISIYINE PIUS (2)c year. Despite this, the process was very smooth because God was behind it. The school started with 65 students but before the end of that week, the school was filled up with 100 students. Now, to the glory of God, there are 330 students studying in his school. To add to the facility of the school, he bought a small van. Seeing the school was growing bigger and bigger, he had to buy a bigger school bus in addition to the small van. As the number of pupils continued to increase at a fast rate, he had to purchase an additional coaster bus to properly serve the pupils. Mr Pius advises everyone to do what God has put in their heart with faith.

“I SLEPT WITH 30 MEN A DAY…” – CONFESSIONS OF A DIABOLIC PROSTITUTE

MISS ASATU SHERIFFIf evil could be adequately defined in a story, Asatu’s would perhaps be a model. A background stooped in satanic secrecy opened the gateway for wickedness of unimaginable proportions to work through her. Initiated at a tender age into a cult that thrived on the belief in animal superiority, Asatu’s private parts were marked for destruction in a sick ritual. Her parents’ premature death led her to seek spiritual help in darker places that only ended up entangling her deeper in bondage. An attempt at marriage ended abysmally as the relationship that spawned two young children ended with her being thrown onto the streets. Desperate and smarting with anger, Asatu succumbed to the lure of ‘greener pastures’ abroad, following a strange lady to Nigeria.

Upon reaching Nigeria, the lady took her to a witchdoctor, whose charm, which promised to restore her marital bliss, ended up killing her estranged husband. Resorting to prostitution, Asatu roamed the four corners of Nigeria, sleeping with up to 30 men in a day to fend for herself. Burdened by her two young children, her willpower eventually whittled away to the point where the unthinkable became feasible – she ‘gave’ out her kids. “I have no ideas where they are right now,” she confessed to the shocked congregants at The SCOAN.

Eventually ending up in Lagos on the prostitution trail, the brothel where she ‘worked’ was broadcasting an unusual television station – Emmanuel TV. Upon watching and learning The SCOAN was located in Lagos, she made the decision to attend the service last week, tired of her dirty lifestyle. As Prophet T.B. Joshua prayed for calmness to descend upon the congregants in the mass prayer, an incredible sequence of events unfolded for Asatu! A shocking, rumbling sensation welled within her stomach forcing her to her knees. Then, it came out. A disgusting item wrapped in red thread with a needle interwoven. The charm she had ingested many years ago in the home of a spiritualist had been forced out by God’s power!

After her deliverance, Asatu testified that the terrible dreams she previously had of dungeons and graveyards were gone as was the urge to engage in illicit prostitution.  “Believe in God,” she tearfully advised the somber congregation. “Leave evil and give your life to God. Only God has the final say in everything.”

DOUBLE BLESSING THROUGH ANOINTING WATER MINISTRATION

MR & MRS DECKY ENYOINSM NUKURU (1)Mr. and Mrs. Decku alongside Miss Nukunu, Mrs. Decku’s younger sister came to The SCOAN with their lives full of challenges. While Mrs. Decku’s case was incessant miscarriages, her younger sister Miss Nukunu was suffering from abject poverty. Mrs Decku who had been married for three years would always have a nightmare anytime she MR & MRS DECKY ENYOINSM NUKURU (2)was pregnant and that experience always ended in her losing the pregnancy. Her husband was dejected about her condition and the state of things. The trio came to a conclusion to come to The SCOAN to receive the ministration of the Anointing Water. As the couple went back to Ghana, they prayed, ministered the Anointing Water in Jesus’ name and met as husband and wife. One day, while they visited the doctor to attend to his health, it was also confirmed that his wife was pregnant. Praise the Lord! Miss Nikunu on her own part, after receiving the ministration of the Anointing Water, received a call from a friend who owns a big company in Ghana. She was offered a job as a salesMR & MRS DECKY ENYOINSM NUKURU (3)representative for one of the branches of his company. Her salary was increased ten times more than what she earned before. Indeed, with God’s power, nothing is impossible!

INABILITY TO WALK SUCCUMBS TO THE POWER OF GOD

MR GODWIN NWOKOLO (1)Nwakolo Godwin came to The SCOAN from Delta State, Nigeria with difficulty in walking due to lumbar spondylosis. As a result, he could neither walk well nor stand for more than five minutes. He could not sleep because of the excruciating pain he had. He had visited several places in search of solution to this problem but all to no avail. He then decided to come to The SCOAN for his healing. He was arranged at The SCOAN Prayer Line. Immediately Prophet T.B. Joshua touched him, he received instant healing. He could not explain how this happened; all he knew was that he was healed. Now that he is healed, he can do anything. Indeed, there is never a problem that Jesus cannot solve and there is never a sickness that Jesus cannot heal.MR GODWIN NWOKOLO (2)

DELIVERED FROM THE SPIRIT OF PORNOGRAPHY

The prophecy that his addiction to the internet had led to the collapse of his marriage hit him like a bolt out of the blues. Mr. Childress Simmons Jnr. Could not deny the cataclysmic turn his life had taken after the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua had uncovered the dark corner of his life.

His mother’s separation from his father was the beginning of his doom. With no choice, he went with his mother to live with her new found love, his step-father. There, his young life was infected with the spirit of pornography through his step-brother who actually introduced him into the evil practice, being in ownership of a rich library of pornographic magazines and videos. At the tender age of 10 he was already addicted. His young life was already shedding its innocence and was at the trench destruction. With time, the contagious hands of pornography continued to pull him down the abyss of deeper addiction. He would keep unholy vigils just to satiate his senses with pornographic videos. The act became some sort of escapist mechanism for him whenever he wanted to cure himself of depression.

Due to his excessive nocturnal ritual of watching pornographic videos, he became a social menace; he would sleep while driving as a result of exhaustion. His mindset was corrupted to the extent that he had no regard for women. After all, he had seen it all! Those things that made womanhood sacred were the same he saw and trivialised at will. Haunting him like a ghost passionate to destroy its target at all cost, his addiction to pornography became the Achilles Hill of his life. The only thing that motivated him into marriage was the satisfaction of his sexual fantasies – a disease which his addiction had brought about. His marriage eventually crumbled after few months when he realised that his appetites were insatiable just as his diseased thinking was incurable. His knack for masturbation increased with every successful pornographic exercise.

MR CHIDRESS SIMMONSMr Simmons was lost to world that was destroying him gradually. He was even unaware that he needed help. He was deeply engrossed in the unwholesome practices of masturbation and pornography even when a second marriage was consummated. “All this while, I knew I was killing myself but there was nothing I could do about it. In my second relationship I started looking for a solution. I started fasting and going to prayer houses”. It dawned on him that he needed God to deliver him from the dungeon of self-destruction he had thrown himself into.

At the peak of his evil engagement, he would be on the internet having sex with strangers via webcam. His lustful ways graduated rather pitiably and made him a sorry case. “The spirit of lust as a result of pornography led me to get married to women who were divorced and had bad marriages…

At the Prayer Line, Prophet T.B. Joshua prayed for me and I immediately knew I was delivered. Since my deliverance, I don’t look at women as physical objects anymore; I see them as daughters of God that need to be respected and also my heart has been renewed. As a young man, I am now excelling in everything I put my hand to. I was at the rock bottom; I was hopeless before I came to The SCOAN. I advise young people to desist from pornography because it will only open doors for demons into their lives. I also want parents to keep good watch over the affairs of their children”.

TB JOSHUA -THE WORLD GREATEST AND MOST PERSECUTED

The charismatic pastor of the Synagogue church of all Nations Tb Joshua has remain one of the most enigmatic and energetic human on earth, going through is background right from is birth to the story of how he was called as a minister of  God makes one to wonder if Tb Joshua is truly an ordinary human being like you and me. In the history of humanity we have not heard or read any were about somebody with this kind of upcoming background. His birth is mysterious he spent fifteen (15) mouths in is mother’s womb; he came from a humble background a very poor family; he lack solid education and his great and mighty works make many to marvel if the man in the synagogue is not the awaiting messiah right in our present  generation. Uncommon happenings done by his mighty hands are the talk of the day including on the internet. In terms of life transformation non  can be compared to him, on a daily basis thousands of sick persons her healed, broken homes and families are united , accurate prophecy for both person and nations of the world and many more as you can name them, make one to wonder if there is anything impossible in this world that cannot be accomplished by this great prophet of our time yet, he stay humble and always give all the glory back to God he never allow all is achievement to put pride in him, he is easily accessible by both the great and small in the society.

It is unfortunate that he remain the most persecuted  human on earth even with all is contribution to human race. There are all kinds of fabricated story, blasphemous video, his miracle program was ban from some local television station including his own country Nigeria local TV stations, these false allegations are so many that some even end him up in prison and later was found innocent. So many are these accusations that have being leveled against the man in the synagogue on a daily basis, that he would be standing on trial even long after his departure.

Are spiritual advisers necessary?

It has been repeatedly established that prophets are people with special gifts of vision; people who are endowed by God to know the unusual, to discover the hidden, and to redirect men’s actions in consonance with the demands of the Holy Spirit. The gift of prophecy is a special one from God, and only very few are actually blessed by God with such powers. This is not to say there are many others claiming to be prophets but whose sources of power are questionable (and thousands of such are found in many countries of the world). These are people with counterfeit powers (photocopied powers) who try to do and achieve what true men of God are doing.

Prophets are known for the truth of their prophecies – the believability, timeliness, punctuality and permanence of same. Though satanic agents often try to out-do true men of God in making prophetic proclamations, these true men of God often win the day as seen with prophets Micaiah and Elijah, in their days, even when the leaders and the led did not necessarily believe in them.

Every age needs a true prophet. Every period in human history has its peculiar character. Today, the world over, are different trials which people and nations face – political, economic, and cultural and traditional. These challenges make life impossible; poverty and want rule people’s lives; ruler-ship is topsy-turvy; the land is poor and unproductive; the leaders are much used to greed, graft and corruption. Because of these factors, horror, earthquakes, moral disequilibrium, accidents and sheer deaths are forced on people, and dangerously empowered by occultism. There is much uncertainty, hopelessness and helplessness. Life is so tragic in orientation. Kidnapping, rape, drug-addiction, murder and ritualism have destroyed the foundation of many homes. People live in fear; their gifts are buried in the sand of meaningless commitments. People also lack the fear of God because satanism has swollen the ranks of unbelievers.

To avoid many evils which plague the world, it is important for people to listen to the tested prophets, which is why they should know the difference, which exists among the prophets. According to Prophet Joshua, there are two types of prophets. The first are the “General Prophets”. These have the ability to communicate the saving will of God. They teach because they have general knowledge of the Bible. They are aware of things both announced and known; they are general practitioners who have mastery of understanding of the bible chapters from Genesis to Revelation.

The second group of prophets are those who “receive direct and specific message from God and about man”. These people have the ability to predict and foretell the future, and can tell what the situation is, now. Prophet Joshua says that such spies on God’s plans, and reveals same to the world to know of some hidden truths which could serve their purpose.

Both groups are not necessarily antagonistic to one another, for they both belong to God. However, people do not understand the prophetic ministry; they little know the role of prophets in society. Equally, people are better used to pastors, some of whom are only obviously self-called. People are used to pastors who pray for them and recommend moments of fasting, even when such pastors themselves are very much in need of deliverance. Quite a lot of people had suffered in the hands of less-trained and less-gifted ‘men of God’.

The mistake most people make is to the effect that when they need the doctor, they go to the farmer, and vice versa. When they need the accountant, they move toward the farmer, and in the process, their problems remain unchallenged. Specialization, which is highly treasured by the Holy Spirit, is often neglected by people. They see every pastor as real, sensitive and prayerful, even when satan has won the souls of such people for himself.

Prophet T.B. Joshua had, for instance, prophesied in February 2012 to the effect that there was going to be an airplane crash in Nigeria, and that the people should pray with him to avert the looming danger.  Characteristically, nobody gave him an ear. In early June, 2012, there was a Dana plane crash on a Sunday at the Iju-Ishaga area of Lagos State, killing some 160 people. While some people had kept writing through social media to the effect that it was because the voice of a true prophet was disregarded, others felt otherwise. But what is particularly true is that such was not the first time Prophet Joshua had made similar prophecies which occurred, yet the unbelieving have remained unyielding that he is a true man of God. His prophecies within 2012 alone had come to pass, as well as hundreds of other prophecies made in the years past, yet some people keep expressing fears that Joshua, the Man in the Synagogue, is ever in company of satan!

Obviously, one of the challenges of modern times is disbelief in prophets and prophetic statements. We remember that in the church, that Sunday when the Dana air plane was to occur, Joshua was quite uncomfortable in service; he was busy checking his watch as if to leave the place at about 12.00 pm. He later told the congregation that he tried as a “prophet to see that the situation was rescued” through prayers, but he was rather lonely! The same was true of the previous prophecies he made; people never ever bothered with the implications and relevance of joint prayers. Some people later turned to be his adversaries, calling him a prophet of doom for not warding off the bad repercussions! But he had prophesied on governments, functionaries in government, lives of artistes and other professionals, etc. He has never hidden the truths revealed to him by God, yet he is disbelieved; he is even called reckless names.

Now, why should there be spiritual advisers to governments, corporations, private establishments? The answer should be obvious to strong believers: God should be involved in every major decision taken! This means, the God factor cannot be pushed aside in all business transactions, governmental programmes and community projects. Spiritual advisers are prayer warriors and visionaries to whom God reveals His secrets and plans. What is hidden from the ordinary eye cannot be hidden from true men of God. True prophets will tell people God’s mind on every issue. Owners of airplanes, for instance, will need prophets to let them know of dangers in the air, and how to ward off same. There are available calamities, even when God does not say Christians are free from trials. Prophets are endowed with visionary powers to know the unknown; they are allowed to spy into God’s plans and schemes. Many has wondered that if Nigeria knew that T.B Joshua is a prophet, why they should not agree with him.

A spiritual adviser is the mouthpiece of God. A prophet answers someone with the words of the Holy Ghost; the Holy Ghost is true. No wonder, Prophet Joshua says that every time, we should talk scriptures in any situation (whether good or bad). A spiritual adviser is needed to guide people’s moves and strategies in performance; provide spiritual illumination and enlightenment when most needed, and ensure that common human mistakes are avoided in life. He prays and ensures stability, confidence, security, and progress of those concerned. For example, the fact that most national leaders neglect spiritual advisers is responsible for their wishy-washy policies, programmes and commitments. Unnecessary conflicts are avoided and credible appointments go to the rightful people. Leadership in most communities of the world would have been enriched spiritually only if spiritual advisers have been reckoned with. Interestingly, T.B. Joshua is known to have a lot of leaders, business gurus, politicians, professionals, etc from all over the world who see him as a spiritual adviser, and for whom he prays and delivers God’s messages. The prophet has easy facility in the Word (which is an integral part of him) and he talks Scripture in every situation. Moreover, his voice is one of confidence; he said, “If you know where you belong, you will talk like a victor”. The miracles performed by God through him are engineered to help people’s faith and make them stronger than they are. It takes the voice of an authentic prophet to correct mistakes in families, jobs, relationships and religious life. For instance, many people were called witches and wizards in the past, only for them to reclaim their true identities in The SCOAN, though they confessed what they were not. The prophet encourages people to move closer to God instead of accusing people by their confessions. Thousands had also been delivered from the grip of evil forces which made them mad; eat anthill soil and chalk and paper; misbehave to others and commit suicide. Spiritual advisers are certainly needed at domestic, national and international scenes.

GOD’S INTERVENTION IN THE AFFAIRS OF MEN

‘Stay Current’ delivered by Wise Man Racine

Like all the previous ones, the Message of this Sunday service titled, ‘Stay Current’ delivered by Wise Man Racine, was very enlightening and thought-provoking. The atmosphere of the service was so charged with the presence of the Holy Spirit that events that cannot be easily ignored took place even before the time slotted for testimonies.

One of these was the immediate healing of Felix, a university student, who for six years had been in a state of mental disorder. His mother, Maria, a law maker in the Benue State House of Assembly, had taken him to many places for treatment but she never achieved the desired result. She decided to bring Felix to The SCOAN after watching the many miracles in the church relayed on Emmanuel TV. Felix was chained by his mother and brought in because of his violent nature.

After the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua had prayed for him, he proceeded to unlock the chains. In his newly won freedom, Felix, rather than resorting to vandalism, stretched his hands in acknowledgment of the omnipotence of God and thanked Him for setting him free from the captivity of satan. His mother was no less grateful to God for ending so miraculously the mental disorder of six years.

May His name be extolled forever!

Equally enthralling was the arrest of the leader of a gang of armed robbers by the Holy Spirit even before the mass prayer. Dazed in the

atmosphere of the Holy Spirit in which he was enmeshed, the leader of the gang willingly took the prophet outside the church to bring in the other members of the gang who were outside. In a moment, three other members of the gang, who were hardly above 21 years in age, accompanied the leader and the prophet into the church. Without any resistance or protest, they knelt down in a corner of the church to later confess their mission. Who can resist the power of God?
One of the many incidents of the previous Sunday service was the vomiting of an egg by one of the congregants moments before the rounding off of the service. The prophet identified him as an armed robber and hired killer.

Asked to come forward for a testimony after being hosted by the church for seven days, the young man, who called himself Chidi, confessed that he was 22 and had been involved in robbery for 15 years as he proceeded to narrate his story. He described himself as an international hired assassin and armed robber for which reason he was disowned by his parents. He stated that he had a phone call in another country from his gang members inviting him for an assassination mission in Nigeria. A pastor was to be their victim. As soon as he got the call, he proceeded to prepare himself for the mission by visiting a witch doctor to arm him with the powers of disappearance and invulnerability to gunshots. He also wanted to have the power of foreseeing events well ahead of time. To prepare the charm, he was asked to bring among other items, a virgin and an unborn baby. As he revealed, it was the blood of the unborn baby and some black substances that he swallowed as part of the charm.
Their mission to kill the pastor never succeeded. In fact, he lost all the other members of his gang in the escapade. He suspected The SCOAN as the cause of their woeful failure because they had briefly visited The SCOAN as they went for the mission but found it too hot and uncomfortable for them to while away their leisure, so they left earlier than they had planned. His return to The SCOAN was a revenge mission as he planned to assassinate the founder of the church suspected to be the cause of their failed mission. It was in an effort to actualize his vengeance on the Prophet that the Holy Spirit arrested him and went beyond that to undo all that the witch doctor had planted in him. One of them was commanding the swallowed egg to come out of him.
Among other disclosures by him were that he had killed at least 40 people and had also attempted to use his mother for a money ritual. He never wanted to hear the name, Jesus anywhere he went for operation. He added that his trouble started when he stole a phone in a church, though, before then, he had stolen a laptop somewhere. The prophet planned to invite his parents to the church to witness his acceptance of the Lord and the change in their son.
ANOINTING WATER SAVED A FAMILY IN AN ACCIDENT

Prince Duni Kimde of Lugunda in Adamawa State travelled on the 15th of October from Yola. Before he embarked on the journey, he had prayed with the Anointing Water and sprayed it on himself and his wife. In course of the journey, he thought of buying fuel. Somehow, he was never fully convinced that he should buy in that filling station. As he reluctantly attempted to branch off to buy the fuel, another vehicle smashed his car. The accident caused his car to somersault six times and the car was damaged beyond recognition.

There was nothing inside the car that was not affected by the accident. Even the torch that was inside the car was affected. The proof of his miracle was that only himself and his wife that was carrying a four- month pregnancy and the Anointing Water that were not affected in any way by the accident; everything else in the car bore the mark of the accident. Duni and his wife came out without any bruise from the car which was so smashed and mangled that even a fly that was inside it during the accident could hardly be alive after. Truly, it was God at work using the medium of the Anointing Water. Glory be to Jesus!

ANOINTING WRISTBAND FOILS A ROBBERY ATTEMPT IN SHOWUMI’S COMPOUND
At 1 am on Friday, Mr Ibrahim Showumi heard what sounded like a gunshot in his compound but thought it might be a coconut that fell. This incident repeated itself a third time and he came out to see what the sound was. Unfortunately, there was nothing available to give him a clue about the persistent sound. About 4.50 am, his room door was opened by a person he, at first, erroneously thought was his son.

Happy that they had at last had access to the person they wanted, the robbers began to hit him with sticks in addition to stabbing him with a bread knife they took from his kitchen but to God’s glory, none of these could do any harm to him. Realising that he had the Anointing Wristband on him, Ibrahim jumped up and shouted, “Jesus!”Noting that this made the thieves stagger, he mustered more confidence to shout the name the more and brought out the framed photograph of T.B. Joshua to show them. Before he knew it, the thieves were on the retreat and he began to chase them. He tried to fetch his Anointing Water to use as an instrument to arrest them but it never came in handy readily. The thieves ran away leaving their torches, wristwatches and knives. Coming back to check his house, Ibrahim noticed that nobody was injured and his son, who shouted from his room during the operation, hid himself under the bed.
The man of God advised that Ibrahim would have ordered them to surrender their guns and other weapons rather than looking for the Anointing Water and they would have obeyed. We thank the Almighty God for coming to the rescue of his son, Ibrahim in those trying hours and also giving him victory over the robbers using the medium of the Anointing Wristband.

ANOINTING WATER HEALED ANSLEM
Mr Anslem Agbonyeme, a police officer of the rank of superintendent injured his ear as he tried to clean it. By October 2009, it had

become so severe that Anslem had dizziness and loss of balance as the after effects. He received treatment, among other places, in Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) and the USA. After unsuccessful efforts in the USA, he came to LUTH again where they planned to operate on him. Meanwhile, he had received the Anointing Water from The SCOAN and administered it. As a team of ten doctors surrounded him to perform the operation, they noticed that for the first time in 12 years, water was dripping out of the ear – which was the feat they wanted to achieve in the operation.

In joy, they told Anslem of the new development and stopped the operation as God Himself using the medium of the Anointing Water did the operation even more safely than any doctor would do.
He was then advised to ask for the refund of his money. We thank God for His many mediums of restoring health to His children.

REVEALING GOD’S POWER

Prophet T. B. Joshua

Addressing the assembly in the lull of the adoration music, Prophet T. B. Joshua underscored the fact that

Wise Man Racine

our fight is not against flesh and blood but against principalities and demons of all authorities and rankings. As our fight is targeted at demons and principalities, it is not easy to determine our closing time in the Sunday service. In our case, we react proactively to the attack of the devil as and when observed. Demons attack mankind everywhere and every time and we must react as enjoined in Mark 16:17 where God says, in my name you shall cast out all demons. Opening his message with a series of rhetorical questions,
Wise Man Racine enjoined the assembly to be vigilant if they were not to be caught napping when the Lord would arrive. Are you prepared for the coming of the Lord, Jesus Christ? How prepared are you to receive Him? Where will He find you when He comes? He advised the church to wake up. He reminded the congregation that what we see on a daily basis on the street are demons at work in various ways and manners. Demons use able-bodied men to perpetrate atrocities of various descriptions and dimensions against their fellow men as orchestrated by the devil whose pre-occupation is to distract mankind from his Creator, God. Demon’s purpose is to distract man from God. There is an unending war between eternity and things which are intrinsically temporal in nature. A war between Christ and evil which is also the war between the Spirit and flesh is unending, according to him. This he maintained would lead to the topic of his message which is:
THE BATTLE OF THE AGES
Ours is a fight with enemies that we can’t see. He referred the congregation to 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. The weapons of warfare are not carnal, for ours are enemies without flesh. The first place to be victorious is in our mind, he emphasised. It is a war between knowledge and ignorance. He enjoined the congregation to find security in God’s hands. It is in God’s hands that we have victory and blessing. Freedom from fear is in God’s hands. If God is with you, who can be against you? He further reminded the congregation of the Lord’s promise to set a table before you in the presence of your enemies. He advised his listeners to look up to the Lord for eternal victory. Jesus’ victory is a supernatural victory and we should rise up in heart and mind for things above. Our victory is past victory as Jesus, by His victory over the devil, has conquered the world for us. He gave biblical backing to his point by asking the church to open Matthew 4:3 for the Lord’s temptation. The devil tempted Jesus with bread because he knew that after His forty days of fasting and praying, He must be hungry. The devil tempted Jesus to put on a sensational display of power. Jesus, though had all the power, presumed upon the Holy Spirit. This teaches us that the power given to us is not to be exercised at our own will but at the will of God.

BROKEN HOMES AND RECONCILIATION
Mounting the altar in succession to the Wise Man, Prophet T.B. Joshua x-rayed the various problems challenging the unity in many families today. In many cases, he went on, families don’t go together to church because there isn’t unity enough in the family to justify that. Even in the same church, husband and wife sit far apart to be comfortable. All this, he maintained, is the work of the devil. The nature of the man’s job could be a source of disunity as wife and children will not be happy to wake up at 4am for family prayer to enable the man to go to work early. So, when there is unity on the outside, there might be disunity on the inside. Many of your children might not accept your faith but would embrace your money.

A HOUSE ON FIRE
The man of God directed that the video clip on a prophecy relating to the Nworah family be visited. The clip revealed the psychological

turmoil in the mind of Mrs Rose Nworah following a strange phone number she discovered in her husband’s phone. Dialling the phone number in suspicion and anxiety, Mrs Rose Nworah received the shocking news told, with utmost disdain, by a girl her husband nicknamed Baby-Baby. The girl in question had been regaling herself in an illegal sexual relationship with her husband. As Baby-Baby herself put it, in reaction to Mrs Nworah’s phone call, “I have been enjoying your husband for quite some time and in fact, I am now pregnant for him.” What unspeakable effrontery! What a heart-shattering and mind-numbing insolence! What culpable sacrilege of cultural and biblical norms! The reality of the matter, as explained by Mrs Nworah, is that for quite some time the relationship between the couple had gone sour. The man’s amorous yearning for the woman had atrophied. Much to the chagrin of the woman, the husband never relished her meals anymore; they never slept together nor was the man interested in going out together with the wife ostensibly because of his newly discovered Baby-Baby, who incidentally hails from the same village in Anambra, Nigeria as the husband. Rose, the wife felt disadvantaged by this communal relationship between her husband and Baby-Baby as she, herself is a Ghanaian. In spite of the ethnic difference between the couple, the wife cherishes the marriage and had always jettisoned people’s negative comments and wishes about the marriage. She so loves him that she declares her affection for him to be time defiant because, as she says, her love is for ever and for ever she will love him. In his defence, Mr Uchenna Nworah acknowledged the girl as his community girl but denied putting her in a family way. Taking this as an episode for sermonising before giving his verdict, the prophet drew attention to the beauty of the woman and remarked, in confirmation of the Bible, that the battle is not necessarily for the swiftest and that is why, according to him, there are many beautiful women who, in spite of their beauty, live by prostitution in hotels today while many ugly ones are happily married. He added that beauty in the inside is more important than outward appearance. He therefore enjoined his listeners to seek deliverance in this regard. On the issue in question, the man of God declared that their marriage is from God and the so-called pregnancy claims by Baby-Baby were a mere hoax minted out to create bad blood between the couple. In total relief, the woman wore a smiling look and reiterated her yearnings to bear him all her children and love him forever. Hugging each other in their renewed matrimony, both husband and wife were delivered.

The next prophecy mentioned a woman, who in her dreams would see herself cutting the head of a goat which, on completion, would turn

out to be one of her children receiving the machete cut. A few days after the dream, the affected child would fall sick and die. No sooner the prophecy was given than a woman emerged to claim the prophecy as hers because she had mysteriously lost three children in the process enunciated in the prophecy. Mrs Janet Peter from Kogi State confirmed the prophecy for herself and added that she had visited many pastors in that regard, in the hope of getting deliverance but all in futility. Developing this strand of the issue, the prophet told the church that it is hardly possible for any pastor to issue deliverance that is predicated on a dream or tale by a victim or sufferer. Deliverance, he submitted, is only possible and efficacious if the issue is revealed to the pastor by the Holy Spirit and the pastor divulges it by way of a prophecy to the person affected. Mrs Peter also disclosed her propensity to eat in dreams. The man of God assured her of deliverance. Many other prophecies, some of intriguing nature, were given and claimed by various congregants after which they were delivered and reassured of a more fruitful life in Christ. God, according to the prophet, has intended that His people should not grope in ignorance and consequently perish. He has, on the contrary, planned that a prophet should be among them. Through the prophet, God has intended to reveal essential information to them for their edification, survival and growth. However, this fact is not appreciated by many people and so, such people deride the prophets of God. The prophet is the only book after all books but which is not available in the market.

The prophet is the mind of God. He thereafter referred to a prophecy relating to Kenya which was issued the previous Sunday in the service. In the said prophecy, the prophet talked of seeing a place in Kenya where people drink and which would be attacked. It was therefore a warning sounded to those who would believe the prophet. This prophecy is confirmed in media reports that a police officer in central Kenyan town went on a shooting rampage killing ten people in different bars. The shooting spree happened late Saturday in Siakago 150 km North East of Nairobi.
The prophet went into prayer with the congregation as the Wise Men laid their hands on members of the congregation. He prayed that the light of God must shine no matter what the devil does, adding by way of more spirited prayer, that every power limiting the congregation must loose its grip.

The first fall-out from the mass prayer was a woman from Asaba, Delta State who in spiritual manifestation, confessed that she was ‘ogbanje’(an agent of satan, often born to die) and had been directed to use her powers to kill her husband. She however, according to her, would not do that because she loved her husband very much.

The second was a prophecy by the man of God in which he saw a royal father or king among the congregation wearing a charm. He therefore asked the unnamed royal father to come out into the open of his own volition. A frail- looking old man in regal attire emerged from the congregation in response to the prophecy and declared himself as the one at whom the prophecy was directed. The royal father declared his willingness to remove the charm and identify with Jesus Christ. However, in recognition of his age and regal status, the prophet never allowed him to be stripped for the charm in the public gaze. The royal father thanked God for pointing him out adding that the charm had rendered him senile and incapable of identifying any of his fifty children. He was however, told that his sickness was the result of a charm he trod on in the past.

Another prophecy was given relating to a witchdoctor who had killed seven of his children and instilled fear in the entire community leading, in some cases, to a pandemonium as the gods were on the prowl in the village. The man, as the prophecy revealed, had taken to his heels to the church to seek refuge. The witchdoctor revealed, in confirmation of the prophecy that his wife had been disabled by the same gods and might die soon if proactive reaction was not in the offing. By the action of the gods, according to the witchdoctor, they had disappointed him and he would disappoint them in retaliation by identifying himself with Christ and annihilating them. He said he inherited the gods from his fore-fathers and had built a house for them. He appealed to the man of God for deliverance so that he would survive the present threat to his life.
The man of God frowned at the old man for killing his children and also endangering the lives of the village people with the gods. As the issue unfolded, it became clear that many people in the assembly had not gone to their villages for the past ten years and more because of evil practices that witchdoctors in these villages had perpetrated on the innocent people. The man of God planned a mass prayer for such people who had been afraid to go to their villages so as to fortify them spiritually and encourage them to re-unite with their families in the village. Following the incessant plea by the witchdoctor who feared he might die if the man of God ignored him, the man of God pitied him and promised to deliver him for the Lord. Earlier, the prophet had intimated to him that he had not included some of his most powerful gods in the train of gods he displayed. The man of God mentioned some snakes and tortoises that constituted some of the most dangerous gods he had. The witchdoctor confessed that those ones were too dangerous for him to toy with.
The Sunday service had too much in package in form of deliverance and healing for one day and so a continuation service was arranged for the following day, Monday 8th November, 2010 beginning at 12 noon.

GOD’S WORD WORKING WONDERS IN OUR TIME

TO HIS POWER NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE

TB JOSHUA

In a spirited sermon to awaken the congregation to the power of God, Prophet T. B. Joshua reminded the Church of the greatness of God and His ready disposition to forgive sins, however grievous some of these sins may be. In his words God is capable of doing anything and also forgiving any sin. To His power nothing is impossible. Breaking in on the choral music which had been reverberating all over the Church and to which the congregation responded in unison with elegant steps, Prophet T. B. Joshua enthusiastically spoke on the forgiving spirit of God with copious illustrations. In his words, the past is forgiven. We have seen a sinner’s character healed, the drunkard becoming sober, the harlot becoming chastened and the liar becoming truthful. “What then is the fear?” he asked the congregation. He spiritedly reminded his listeners that if they trust in God, that trust will save them. Trusting in the suffering of Christ is enough to save us, deliver us and make us whole. He concluded the sermon by advising the congregation to remain in trust.

WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?

Wise Man John Chi introduced his message with a series of questions.

How do we achieve a desired goal? Who wants to be saved? What must I do to be saved? He aptly referred the congregation to Acts 16: 29-32 which provided the answer to his questions: Believe in the Lord and you will be saved. According to him, God has promised salvation for whoever shall trust His Son. Race, age brackets, academic qualifications, wealth or any other attribute cannot save us outside Christ. If you are willing to be saved, Jesus is willing. Jesus brings hope and succour to those who trust Him. He is the bread to the hungry and road map to the lost. Whatever you are, you need Christ to be saved. God has a role to play in your salvation just as you too have a role to play. It takes your willingness and God’s ability to bring about your salvation.
Our hearts and minds must be reset to agree with God’s plan for our lives. You must get rid of those things that derail you from God. You cannot experience peace under the dominion of satan. Satan is sin. Another name for satan is sin.

Quoting Psalm 51:7 as a reference text the Wise Man admonished the congregation on the need to be cleansed of sins. According to him King David saw the need to be cleansed. Wash me with water whiter than snow and remove all impurity. David knew he would not have place in God’s kingdom unless he was washed from sins. In his sins, David could not see anything other than the fruit of sin: failure in the family, in the battle field etc. Unless you are cleansed of your sins, your blessing will receive challenges. The attitude of repentance and faith in your heart keeps you closer to God. Mistakes are correctable. If you make a mistake, don’t run from God; run to Him. Because David ran to God in spite of his sins, he remains one of the greatest Kings in Israel today. Your Father in Heaven has anticipated your sins and prepared for you. You have not committed an unpardonable sin. Our lives are in God’s hand and we cannot please Him without a thorough reformation of heart and life. God requires a heart that does not bear grudges. Doubts and unbelief put us on the wrong track. Jesus loves you just as He does any of His children. Jesus is able to forgive all our sins, he concluded.

THE SPIRIT OF APOSTLE PAUL HAS ARRIVED IN MACEDONIA

Wise Man, Harry and his wonderful performances in Macedonia attracted his comments. The prophet told the congregation that the crusade in Macedonia attracted a large turn out of participants. It was so wonderful and even comparable to those spiritually hosted by the prophet himself in Indonesia and Singapore. It had to be extended to the following day i.e. Sunday and Monday. Wise Man, Harry also revealed to Prophet T. B. Joshua his vision to be in Macedonia especially close to Paul and Silas’s prison for tourists to see the wonders of God.
A clip on the wonderful works being performed by Wise Man, Harry surfaced on the screen and the congregation watched with rapt interest.

RECONCILIATION OF BROKEN HOMES
Mr and Mrs Ifah brought out their children and Mrs Ifah, the spokesperson accused their daughter, Judith of witchcraft before the entire congregation. She narrated how a baby of hers died mysteriously after a period of excessive stooling. She painted a picture of lack of peace in their family and of the sickness of her husband which had defied healing.

The daughter, Judith Ifah confessed to being a witch and added that it was the result of the fruit juice which she accepted from one of her classmates. She said she told her mother the dream she had after taking the juice and her mother prayed for her. She revealed that the giver of the juice asked her to bring their baby to the coven and that was the cause of the baby’s death. She said that she ate the baby. She also revealed how she was advised to use a rope to tie her father to his bed and cause his health to deteriorate. All these feats would attract to her a second position in the witchcraft world.
In reaction, Prophet T.B. Joshua advised parents to bring up their children in the way of the Lord to have peace. The child in question was left in the hands of satan because of the parents’ carelessness. The prophet pronounced Judith a witch or demon possessed as presented by the parents.
He then asked the parents to lay hands on her and ask every unclean spirit to leave her. That was how Judith was delivered. The prophet however warned both parents not to call her a witch after the deliverances.

INTERNET VICTIM
A lady by name Memory, from Zimbabwe but living in South Africa confessed how she was hoodwinked promises of monetary offers on the internet. She was taught incantations which she mastered but none of the promises materialised. Instead, her marital home became bedevilled with problems to such an extent that she used the police to eject her husband from the home. She then pleaded with the man of God for deliverance. At the exclamation of the name, Jesus by one of the evangelists she fell down and was delivered.

ACCUSATION OF WITCHCRAFT
One Emmanuel Chijoke and his relations all of the Abraham family from Enugu complained about the problems of setback and deaths in their family attributing all this to their mother.
The genesis of the accusation was a crusade in Abuja at which one of Emmanuel’s cousins was a participant and where he was told by a man of God there that their mother was the brain behind all the woes in the family. The said man of God was then invited to Enugu where he confirmed his earlier vision that their mother was a witch and that only her head and shoulders was human; the chest down to the feet was vulture in appearance. Surprisingly to the family, their mother could not refute the accusation by the man of God. She complained that at that time, her eyes, ears and mouth were muffled and she could not talk.

She then challenged the family to take her to anywhere and they would realise that she is not a witch. This was the reason they came to the SCOAN.

In his verdict, the man of God pronounced the woman witchcraft negative and ordered the children to kneel down to her in apology.

FOOT ULCER HEALED
Before the prayer line, the participants of which were zoomed on the screen,
a lady, 20 year old Miss Sulman who was healed of foot ulcer came to give testimony and also made to show herself to those in the prayer line to reassure them of their healing

HIV AIDS TESTIMONIES
Three men and three women who were healed of HIV AIDS came to give their testimonies. Among them who spoke was 27 year old Mrs Motunrayo Sowemimo,

who was tested positive with Hiv aids type one in the Federal Ministry of Health, Abuja.

After the prayer line where she was declared free, she said she became stronger and ate with more relish.
She went back to the same hospital for another test but thanks to God, she was Hiv negative this time.

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFICIARIES

Miss Oduwole Olayinka

Miss Oduwole Olayinka, a youth worker in the church who came bagged 1st class (Electrical/Electronics), University of Lagos also got a scholarship award from the Church to do a Master degree in one of the best universities in the world. She consequently applied for admission and was offered same in three good universities in the United Kingdom. These were the Universities of Southampton, Edinburgh and that of Surrey.

She picked the University of Southampton as the best and the Church paid a total sum of £13,900 as her fees. Later and in consonance with the man of God’s crave for the best, the University College, London, offered her admission. Without hesitation, she changed her mind and picked the latest offer. A total sum of £18,245 was paid as fees for her to start classes on the 11th of October 2010.
The man of God seized the opportunity to advise the congregation to always look for the needy to help rather than waiting at home for the needy to come to them. In this way, according to the prophet, they would not be helping the wrong people.

THE POWER TO DELIVER IS IN THE NAME OF JESUS

Another Sunday Service at The Synagogue, Church of All Nations and all we have to say is ‘Thank You Jesus’! From touching family reconciliations, shocking satanic confessions to remarkable healing testimonies, it was yet another action-packed riveting service that proved beyond all doubt that Jesus is alive and His power is still at work today. Full of practical lessons for life, faith-building experiences, words of wisdom and the raw, real power of God, both the thousands of congregants at The SCOAN and the multitudes of viewers on Emmanuel TV would agree unanimously after these extraordinary events that Jesus is truly the same yesterday, today and forever!

In an enlightening message titled ‘The Name Of Jesus Has Power’ drawn from the scripture in Mark 9 detailing the account of the father of the demon possessed boy and his encounter with Jesus, Prophet T.B. Joshua explained, “There is power in the Name of Jesus indeed, but only among those who are committed to the glory of God.” He spoke of the need to have absolute trust in God, stating that some measure of trust would only enable us to do some, not all. “When we express the necessary trust in Christ Jesus, His duty, I mean, His work is to raise us from death to life and then restore the wholeness and fellowship,” he admonished. Speaking on the purpose of God’s power and its incredible effects on a person’s life, TB Joshua said, “One of the reasons God gives us His power is to confirm that what we are speaking is from Him… Once the supernatural power of God comes upon you, then something is going to happen to you that cannot be explained by the human mind.” It was a powerful message backed up by the prophet’s own extensive experience in the ministry. “When you see a good doctor, he should be able to explain himself when he gets to the laboratory,” he noted.

TB Joshua - Your rewards in life are determined by the problems you solve for someone else

After hearing God’s Word, it was time to move on to a more practical aspect – the ministry of reconciliation. In lieu of the recent confessions of families whose homes have been torn apart due to varying allegations and different situations, yet another touching case was brought to the light. It was that of Mrs Better Keke who had come to The SCOAN with a whole horde of villagers who had been sent to ascertain the truth from God. Before listening to their story, TB Joshua reminded the people of the need not to judge those they were about to hear from but rather learn from them. “Our response to someone who makes a mistake can also be a mistake,” he emphasised.

It all began, Mrs Keke explained, after the tragic death of a young man in a car accident. “At his funeral, a voice suddenly spoke to me telling me to confess I was the one who killed him,” Keke said. As the strange voice continued to speak to Better over the coming days telling her to confess what she did not do, her musical leader Evan. Elvis Osita confronted her that she had a confession to make, a revelation he said he came to after 30 days of fasting and prayer. As the voice grew within grew stronger, subsequent events led Mrs Keke to publically confess in a church that she was a witch and responsible for countless atrocities in the village, including the accident that killed the young man. In the same vein, she also accused one of her close friends, a teacher by profession, of witchcraft, an event that led to parents pulling children out of her school. In a whirlwind of events, others accused Evan. Elvis of masterminding the boy’s death and being a wizard. The situation had grown so serious that the king of their village in Delta decided to hear God’s opinion and find out who-is-who. Thus the large party had set out to The SCOAN to hear from Prophet TB Joshua the voice of God which would put a rest to the endless rumours and counter-accusations.

“When you look at your family, you have the traces of mental disorder,” the prophet said. Mrs Keke confirmed that one of her aunties was afflicted with a severe mental problem. “The spirit speaking to her is not that of witches or wizards – it is a brain problem. She’s not a witch,” T.B. Joshua declared. “If you ask her, she will tell you she has a chronic headache, and sometimes her eyes will be bringing water,” he prophesied. She confirmed it to be a reality. T.B. Joshua then prayed for her in the power of the Holy Spirit, commanding the spirit of mental disorder to leave. The truth had finally been revealed. As for Evan. Osita, the prophet said he has no trace of evil in him and was innocent of the accusation, but warned him about jumping to conclusions based on feelings and packaging them as spiritual revelations. The teacher who had further been accused, Mrs Gloria Uduarighe, was also vindicated by the man of God, who further assured her that the children would return to her school now the truth had been revealed. “My people of Delta, what they are saying against this lady are pure lies,” he announced. Hon. Alex Izogo, one of the representatives sent by the king, capped off the experience with a final word. “This thing has torn our community apart. But what you have said now is the final solution to this problem.”

More cases of broken homes and subsequent reconciliation followed, including that of Jubili Umerere whose two children had confessed responsibility for the calamities that had befallen their entire family. Her husband had gone to the extent of purchasing acid with the intent of killing the children said to have rendered them homeless and jobless, before they came to The SCOAN. The issue had severely affected the extended family, with the kids also confessing responsibility for the barrenness of Mrs Umerere’s sister Blessing Obarhua. After listening to their experiences, T.B. Joshua revealed that the children were not witches, but their images were simply being used by evil forces. He concluded in prophesying that Mrs Blessing would give birth to a baby girl, and the fortunes of the family were bright.
Following reconciliation came a time of prayer for deliverance. “There are three people in our midst who have evil spirits,” T.B. Joshua prophetically declared before ushering the people into a time of prayer. Almost immediately following the prayer, the power of God swept throughout the auditorium exposing the darkness in the lives of the people. A man, who simply called himself Tony, fell to the ground as the evil within him began to manifest. Later, during the second service, he shared his morbid experience. “I went to a herbalist in Anambra State, who made a concoction out of a premature baby and a human tongue for me to use,” he confessed. The charm was supposed to bring him good fortune but instead began to appear physically to him such that he ran away from home to Lagos. But each night, the concoction would appear to him in the guise of a demonic human being, demanding him to bring things in order to satisfy his thirst for blood. Two people died as a result, and out of fear for his life, Tony ran to The Synagogue.

As T.B. Joshua ministered to him in the power of the Holy Spirit, he prophetically declared that there was another brother in the midst of the congregation who possessed evil. Picking him out, a tall man dressed in white emerged from the crowd to be told by the prophet that he should bring the charms he had placed outside the church. In a mixture of shock and awe, the man turned and came out of the church subsequently to return minutes later clutching two plastic bags filled with charms. “You are a witchdoctor,” the prophet said, which the man confirmed to be true. Explaining how he had inherited the charms from his father, the man gave a chilling account of how a spiritual figure appeared to him every night demanding for his blood. The man of God said he would have to confess everything, and invited him to come back with his entire family.

As always, the prayer line produced some outstanding miracles, with the prayer of faith being offered and the power of God transforming people from sickness to good health. Among the many cases was that of Mrs Teresa Igwebo, a retired school matron who had been confined to a wheelchair for the past 8 years following a stroke and enlargement of the heart. The 64 year old who came from Enugu State could scarcely believe it when she was told to rise and walk in the name of Jesus, but supernaturally she rose up and took her first few steps of freedom. The joy beaming from her face on realising the pains were gone and she could finally walk, Mrs Igwebo thanked Jesus profusely for her remarkable healing.

Her testimony echoed that of thousands who came to The SCOAN on Sunday 16th May 2010 in sickness and sorrow only to leave in joy and freedom, knowing that truly – Emmanuel, God is with us! What a God we have to worship; what a Son we have to praise; what a future lies before us!

PROPHECY – I SAY WHAT GOD SAYS TB JOSHUA….

“This Is A Shock!”
Getting to the bottom of people’s problems was prevalent when T.B. Joshua also known as ‘the man in the Synagogue’ gave personal prophetic messages to many in his service at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations who had almost given up hope. It was just the soothing medicine Archbishop Andrew Ndubano from Botswana needed. T.B. Joshua explained his situation in a prophecy that Ndubano was a man of God but that he wanted to abandon the ministry after three ministers who had been under him went to the river for baptism and drowned.

Archbishop Andrew Ndubano from Botswana

Ndubano got to the point where he almost gave up hope and it was at that point that God used T.B. Joshua to speak life into his hopeless situation through the message of prophecy. T.B. Joshua started the prophecy with the encouraging words, “Don’t give up. God loves you.” He continued, “I know you are facing so much destruction and they are giving you a name that you use evil powers. You are in between decision – to leave the ministry and rest. You have many branches. You have got to a crossroads. Don’t give up.” Shocked by the accurate word of prophecy from a man he had never spoken to before but who stated the events exactly as they had occurred in his life, Ndubano, overcome by emotion, broke down in tears in front of The SCOAN congregation.

Picking up in the spirit the thoughts of his heart, T.B. Joshua asked Ndubano, “What is the cause of these thoughts? Ndubano responded, “They said they will kill me.” Reassuringly, T.B. Joshua said, “I’m seeing you as a minister of God. What happened has happened. There’s no trace of evil from you”. The prophecy was the salve for every sore that Ndubano had suffered. God in His infinite mercy had used one of His servants, Prophet T.B. Joshua to vindicate another of His servants – Archbishop Ndubano.

Later during the service, T.B. Joshua conducted an exclusive interview with Ndubano, the latter’s wife at his side. Viewers worldwide who tuned into Emmanuel TV saw written on their television screens clearly who the man T.B. Joshua was interviewing, live, “Archbishop Andrew Ndubano of St Johns Apostolic Faith Ministry, Botswana.” In talking to Ndubano, T.B. Joshua addressed the family of the three ministers that died in the unfortunate incident, “The three pastors the case concerns – we know they have families and I want to invite the families. I know in Botswana they will be watching. I want to be part of the families. I want to tell them we love them. Thank God the three pastors died as Martyrs. I want to give an invitation to the families for a full reconciliation.” T.B. Joshua also said that he wanted the families to come for counselling.

Ndubano’s response: “I just want to point out that I was just in the midst. I’d not met the Prophet before. He just picked me out from the crowd. This is a shock. He just picked me out and said, ‘You’re a man of God.’ My conscience is free; I’m no longer bound in chains. I am very pleased because the people he invited believe in the prophecy of the Holy Spirit. Prophecy is never a lie”. Sharing her husband’s joy, Ndubano’s wife said, “Glory be to God. I’m happy because my husband is free.”

Having reached a crossroads, Ndubano was no longer in between decisions. Thanks to the prophecy which declared him innocent of the accusation levelled against him, he decided not to abandon the ministry. It was a lesson to all those watching that, “Anything close to Jesus receives attack” and that, “No matter how close we are to Jesus, there are some unchangeable events that prayer and fasting cannot change. Just as fire cannot destroy gold, so also, hard times cannot destroy you as a Christian.” – T.B. Joshua.

A Whitish thing In The Sky
Many watched in awe as prophecies of international significance given by T.B. Joshua come to pass. Video footage of the confirmation was aired live. One concerned ‘a whitish thing in the sky’. At the beginning of the year in January 2010, Prophet T.B. Joshua gave a prophetic message concerning something that he saw in the sky that would have negative effects. He gave a call to fast and pray on Thursday, mentioning a natural disaster – something falling like a whitish thing that would stop the whole system that would come from the hill – a strange thing. On Thursday 15th April, 2010, the very day mentioned by Prophet T.B. Joshua, a massive cloud of volcanic ash (whitish in colour) following a volcanic eruption in Iceland drifted into European airspace, grounding all flights and leaving tens of thousands of passengers stranded across Europe and affecting businesses worldwide. The disaster affecting at least 22 European countries had brought European airspace to a standstill. The negative effects of the volcanic ash were widespread. News from the media reported negative effects to aircraft, people’s health and disruption on a scale unprecedented. World leaders including President Obama who planned to attend the funeral of President Lech Kaczynski in Poland on Sunday remained in limbo as volcanic ash from Iceland continued to ground flights to and from Europe.

China Earthquake
Prophet T.B. Joshua also gave a prophetic message concerning an earthquake that would happen in the nation of China and cause a big destruction. He said he could see a disaster in China – a situation where nothing would work, no schools, nothing, people would die and there would be nowhere for people to run to. The Prophet also spoke about the weather conditions mentioning that the weather would be extremely cold. On Wednesday 14th April 2010, the prophecy happened. News broke out that a massive earthquake had hit the nation of China causing a big destruction and leaving many hundreds dead and ten thousand injured. Homes and schools were destroyed and thousands were left in extremely cold weather conditions, without shelter. The Prophet commented that time would not permit to air the other prophecy confirmations, one of which concerned the recent assassination of an Indian politician during a public meeting in broad daylight

“Thank You, Jesus; I can Walk!”
Perhaps one of the most amazing happenings in the service was God’s mercy and favour towards many sick and afflicted people in the overflow crowd outside the church auditorium – about a four minute walk from where the man of God was preaching. Using the name of Jesus Christ in prayer and without seeing or even touching them, T.B. Joshua in the anointing of the Lord prayed for the healing of many both inside and outside the church (overflow) and they were miraculously healed. Glory, a young lady from Delta State, Nigeria was among those who experienced that the right hand of God is power. After an accident rendering her unable to walk, she hobbled painfully on crutches.

TB JOSHUA AT THE PRAYERLINE

She was miraculously healed in the overflow section during the prayer and she exclaimed: “Thank You, Jesus, I can walk!” and indeed she walked the four minute stretch from where she was healed in the overflow right into the church auditorium to share her touching testimony. Throwing away her crutches, Glory stated that she no longer had any need of them. Needless to say, Glory who truly experienced the glory of God was ecstatic!

TESTIMONY

A Sermon To Touch The Heart
It was a message that spoke to everyone – a message that raised a question to which everyone had the same answer… “Who Needs Forgiveness?” The lively congregation of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations responded in one accord with the common answer, “I do!” T.B. Joshua had all meticulously tuned to his thought provoking message which, without a doubt, must have touched the hardest of hearts. The message – Who Needs forgiveness? – delivered by T.B. Joshua on 18th April 2010 during the live Sunday service caused many a man (and woman) to look inwards and see the need for a change of heart. And just in case there were any self-acclaimed perfect individuals amongst the congregation, the Prophet ‘set the record straight’ by quoting the Book of books – the Holy Bible: “One thing is clear”, he said, “ ‘All have sinned and fallen short of the glory’ ”(Romans 3:23). The man of God immediately encouraged the congregation whether they fell into the category of ‘righteous and holy’ or ‘guilty and condemned’ by saying, “Whether your sins are great or small, Jesus is able to forgive them”.

Reminding them of the initial question he had asked them at the beginning, “Who needs forgiveness?” Smiling, T.B. Joshua said, “I am happy that you know that you need forgiveness. Forgiveness of sin strikes the root of all pain, all discomfort. When you are forgiven you are healed, redeemed and blessed. T.B. Joshua’s teaching enabled many to discover the root cause of their problems. The answer was made simple: earnestly seek God’s forgiveness as forgiveness of sin strikes the root of all pain.

The Prophet seemed to hit the nail on the head when he said, “You have many questions going through your mind. One of the questions: ‘Why do your problems keep recurring?’ They keep recurring simply because you are dealing with the problem, rather than the cause of the problem…” It was a real eye-opener for many, challenging them to get to the ‘bottom’ of their problems once and for all! The reader might also dare rise to the challenge.

Justice Defence and Security Minister of Botswana

Several VIP’s were also present at the live service including Ramadeluka Seretse – Justice Defence and Security Minister of Botswana – an active participant in The SCOAN service. In sharing his experience at the end of the service, he commented on how much he had enjoyed the service and strongly encouraged leaders – those in positions of authority to tune in to Emmanuel TV and those who already tuned – to keep on watching.

THE STOPPING INTERVAL OF TB JOSHUA

A touching tale penned by TB Joshua recounting experiences in his early life that served to prepare him for the task ahead.

In our spiritual walk with the Lord, we have good times and hard times. When the going is good, we say we are in good times. When the going is tough, we say we are experiencing hard times. Remember, life itself is a mission. While we are on the go, we need to stop between steps, to re-focus on the Word and the Will of God.

While we are on the go, I mean, while we are on the mission, we need to sometimes stop at intervals to assess our progress and prepare ourselves for the challenges ahead.

Certain challenges on our way usually make us stop awhile – I mean, for a moment. When you stop awhile, you are not down. What are these challenges? They could come in the form of sickness, failure, setback, imprisonment, poverty. For instance, if I receive a sack letter from my very lucrative job, there is a natural tendency for me to cry and lament, if I do not view the situation from the maturity that comes from faith. It takes faith to realise that the situation is a mere stopping interval – a short break between two events.

I do not need to go very far to cite or give an example of what I am saying because my experience in life is enough to illustrate this philosophy or principle of life. As we said earlier, many things could cause one to stop between steps. I could still remember vividly when I sat for and passed the entrance examination into the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna. I was

"I was invited for the interview and I had to board the train from Lagos to Kaduna."

invited for the interview and I had to board the train from Lagos to Kaduna. Behold, on our journey the train developed some serious faults that kept us in the bush in Jebba for six horrible days with little or no provision. Remember, I was going for an interview that was billed to hold the following day. I was on the railway line in Jebba while the interview was going on in Kaduna and there was nothing I could do to help the situation as I lacked the means to arrange for an alternative way of transporting myself to the venue of the interview, so I missed the whole thing.

This was how the ambition to enlist into the military was aborted by what was obviously an act of fate. Who knows what would have happened if I had successfully attended that interview. I actually felt very bitter I had missed another chance of making it in life.

With a very heavy heart I went to the village to complain to my mother of how so many opportunities had slipped by. Little would I have reasoned that it was one of those stops between steps in my spiritual walk with God until my mother did her best to calm me down, saying: “My son, do not mind the seeming appearance of things as of today. If I am ever confident of any child, you are that child. Do not be afraid of what the future holds for you, because I know if anyone is destined to fail, you are not the one. So, be patient and you would see what God would do in your life. I am so sure of your future breakthrough, considering the strength of the predictions and prophecies about you even before you were born. I cannot forget so easily what I experienced when I was pregnant with you, and I know God cannot lie. My son, whatever you may be going through today, just take it as a temporary setback, meant to prepare you for the challenges ahead. Don’t forget your name is “Temitope” and, by the grace of God, the whole world shall have the cause to thank God for your sake.”

After this encounter with my mother, I began to look at whatever came my way with a more mature mind whose focus was on God alone. I mean, the maturity that comes from faith in the finished works of our Lord Jesus Christ. My case was already settled in Heaven. Here I am today in your midst; I can boast of what God is doing for us. Hallelujah! You are all witnesses.

In my spiritual walk with God I have experienced both good and hard times.

Who knows what would have happened if those temporary stops did not come at intervals. Consider how my education suffered epileptic fits; today I am in school, the next day I am out. Remember, when God is executing His plan in our lives, He also designs and arranges events which continue to unfold until His purpose is revealed. The ups and downs in my education were part of the events that revealed the purpose of God in my life. Remember, the man who is poor is not the man that has no money, but one without a dream. They are suffering that have no dream. They are poor that have no dream.

Before I knew it, I had gone around six different colleges in less than one year. I enrolled for the examinations of JAMB (Joint Admission and Matriculation Board) four times and on each occasion it was either I forgot my acknowledgement card and other necessary documents or there was an accident on the way to the exam venues. People who saw what was happening to me simply attributed my predicament to either sin or non-seriousness on my part. But those with the maturity that comes from faith, like my mother, saw it as mere stopping intervals or natural stops in my spiritual walk with God.

In James 4:7, we are told to submit ourselves to God and resist the devil. If we examine carefully our attitudes toward certain situations, we would see how much we willingly submit ourselves to the devil each time we view things with the maturity that comes from the experience rather than of faith. The maturity that comes from experience is based on what is seen, what is heard and what circumstances look like. When your maturity is derived from circumstantial factors other than faith, your level of maturity would continue to fluctuate rather than being stable. This is why I am enabled to maintain a balance and stable approach to the challenges that come my way every day. I am not moved by what people say or do concerning my relationship with God. I submit myself to His direct will which is good and perfect with no evil in it.

Sometimes, God uses foolish things to strengthen our desire for Him.

In Luke 22:32, Jesus said to Peter, “I pray that your faith would not fail”. This means, all men make mistakes but people of God get back up. Certainly we would fall, but with Jesus supporting our position, we would soon get back up.

I LIVED WITH TB JOSHUA FROM 1992 TO 2003, HIS A REAL MAN OF GOD PART 7

HUMBLE AND SIMPLE

TO THE CORE

Base on the gravity some of the lies Agomoh Paul in conjunction of with Bisola Johnson fabricated “When I wanted to marry T.B Joshua said over his dead body” I confirm this is not true; T.B Joshua has a wife with children, there are a lot of the disciples that are married too including me with children. When l decided l want to get married l, was give the grace to do so and when l found the woman of my heart l discover she had HIV I & II tested and confirmed by Korle BU Teaching Hospital Accra, l took her to Lagos to be prayed for and today she has been tested negative and we have 2 children

I present to you the interview of Mrs. Evangelist Evelyn Joshua to attest that T.B Joshua is really married.

Mrs. Evangelist Evelyn Joshua Mrs. Evangelist Evelyn Joshua

Excerpts:
Your husband made a promise about nine months ago that The Spectator would be the first Nigerian newspaper you would talk to. After waiting for so long, we thought it was never going to happen. But it is happening now. So, let’s start by asking you, how does it feel to be Mrs. Evelyn TB Joshua?

I count myself very lucky among women. My husband is a man every woman will want to have as a husband.

That presupposes a serious contest over him (general laughter…). Seriously speaking, do you fight any battle to keep him?

Not at all. I know that every woman will desire to have him as a husband, but there are not struggles on my part to keep him.

Prophet Joshua is very handsome and a great instrument in the hands of God, sought after, all over the world, by presidents and kings. You mean there are no special battles you fight to gain his attention and also keep him from prying female eyes?

Not at all. But I know that when a man is hardworking and God-fearing, every woman will like to have him. But believe me; I fight no special battles to keep him. He knows who he believes and God whom he believe and serves so well is capable of keeping him, and has, indeed, been keeping him.

So, how do you cope with his tight schedule? This is somebody who spends every minute of his life in the church ministering to people’s needs and all that; and we do know that women need their husbands as much as their husbands need them.

We are into the same cause. So, I don’t have any difficulties handling that aspect at all because we are pursuing the same goal. God has so made it that we complement each other perfectly well in very many ways.

Are you a pastor, too?
No, but I am helping.

So, you never trained as a pastor?
We are many here; we are under training.

Under him?
Yes, and it is a life-long training. It is a continuous, never-ending training like the school of life. Of course, as long as we are living, we will continue to strive in God’s will.

So, how exactly did you meet Prophet TB Joshua? We want to know the year, the circumstances and all that…

(laughs heartily…) It was around 1989

That was 20 years ago?
Twenty years now, yes. I visited a sister somewhere at Ikotun-Egbe, and, then they were talking about a particular man, a prophet to be precise. It was a kind of meeting to be precise. And it’s like everybody in that gathering, or at least half of the people in the room, had actually visited him. So, they were saying a lot of good things about him. I was thrilled. At the end of the whole thing, I called a sister outside and asked whether she could take me to the prophet. I didn’t ask to go there out of curiosity. I actually needed a guide at that point in time.
Not really. I wasn’t at any crossroads, but I desperately needed a guide.

Or were there some challenges you were facing and for which you needed to see this man of God?

Not quite so. But I had seen pastors. I worshipped in a church and I had read about prophets in the Bible, though I had never come across any. But at that particular time, I needed a guide, sort of.

Spiritual guide?
Yes, a spiritual guide. A counselor.

Could you tell us the church were you were worshipping before you suddenly and desperately needed this spiritual guide?

I was in Assemblies of God Church.

How long were you there?
As long as I can remember.

Were you born there?
No, I was not. Can we go back to my story, please? So, the sister and I scheduled a date. We got to his place and he was not around.

Not to the Synagogue, I believe?
No, to his house.

Okay, where was his house then?
Down in Ikotun-Egbe, at Agodo.

It was a mansion was it?
(Laughs loudly…) Yes, by the grace of God, it was.

If we may take you back, what things were people talking about that made you get interested in him?

Many things. This one said he prayed for him and things became okay from there. Another said her life was at a bend but straightened up when she met him. You know, things like that. So, we went there. Unfortunately, we did not meet him at home. But looking back now, I thank God that we didn’t meet him that day.

Why?
Because that would have been the end of this story.

Why would it have been the end of the story?

It would have been because what he told me the very first day that I set my eyes on him, if the sister were there, I would have believed that maybe she had gone behind me to tell him all about me. And that would have ruined it.

So, did the man of God tell you the story of his life?

Yes, of course.

Without any pre-knowledge of who you were?
Yes. Okay, I’m coming (laughs…). Some months after, I visited him. That was in 1990. I could remember that day was a public holiday. I remember also how I nearly lost my way because I had never been to the place before, except that day I went with the sister.

That is to say, this time you went alone?
Yes, I did. I went alone. But before I was able to locate the place, it was a bit difficult for me. When I got into the waiting room, I met two men waiting to see him. Before this time, the idea that I had about a prophet was that of an old man with a white, long beard and things like that. So, on that day, I was reading a novel that I came with when I suddenly saw someone come into the room, pick one or two things and went back. But the shadow of whatever I saw was not that of an old man.

Did you greet him?
No, I didn’t even look at his face. But when he left one, one of the two men was telling the other one, ‘that’s him. That’s him.’ I looked up but he had gone. They went into the consulting room before me. Finally, it was my turn, and I went in there. We sat opposite each other. And, he was gazing at me for about a minute and some seconds. I gazed at him, too. Transfixed as I was, I noticed that there was a piece of paper before him. Still looking at me, he wrote the word, ‘Ejide’, on it. (Transliterated, Eji de – twin has come). Lest I forget, I’m a twin.

And before then, you had not told him anything about yourself?

No, we were just looking at each other until he, at a time, wrote my name on the piece of paper. So, we started talking. He told me a lot of things about myself, both things that I knew, and those that I never knew. I was shocked. He told me about my family, about my past, my present and my future. Altogether, we spent about 45 minutes. At the end of the whole thing, he spoke to me in Yoruba and said: Joo ma binu o. Ma ro pe bi mo se nba gbogbo eniyan ti o ba wa s’odo mi soro ni eleyi o. Mi o ni ale, mi o dee fee ni ale. Sugbon, se oo fe mi? (Transliterated, this means: Please, don’t be annoyed. Don’t think this is how I talk to everyone that comes to me. I don’t have a concubine, and I don’t want to have a concubine. But can you marry me?)

Just like that?
Just like that. It was strange, but that gives us an insight into what the Scripture says that the Spirit testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. I think that was it. That was how I met him. Some months later, I asked him why he thought it was right seeing a lady for the first time and going on to propose to her. He said he had seen me four days before that very day.

Where?
I don’t know

In his dream?
I don’t know.

Or was it a revelation?
Honestly, I don’t know.

Okay, let’s go back to the time you entered his consulting room. You said you sat opposite him and looking at each other intensely, I believe. At that particular moment, what was going on in your mind?

A lot of things. In the first place, I was expecting to see an elderly man.

But instead you saw a dashing, handsome, young man?

(Laughs). Oh yes! That was it.

He too must have been captivated by a ravishing beauty like you…

(Laughs again…) I wouldn’t know. But like I told you, he wrote my name on the piece of paper before him. That was the first thing that really shocked me. And the fact that he proposed to me the first time that we met without waiting to know some things about me.

Wait a minute. Don’t you think that one of your friends could have had contact with him and told him about you?

Unfortunately, I don’t have friends. As I told you, it was a sister that I visited who took me there in the first place. So, there is no way anybody could have gone to tell him about me. And, when I was going there the second time, she wasn’t there. I went alone.

Why did you choose to leave where you were worshipping?

I’ve told you how I got to know about him. I told you too, that I didn’t go there out of curiosity. I needed a guide, whom, I believe, I could get from the prophet. That’s why I went.

In what area of your life did you need a guide before you went to him? Was it on marriage, business etc.? What area?

You know, life is full of challenges. As a young lady, I knew God was there. I have a Creator and I know He can guide me into the right path. So, I wouldn’t say business or marriage drove me to him. I just needed someone to guide me into the right path in life.

What were you doing in the secular world before this time?

Should I say as it was then, so it is now? After my secondary school education, at that time, you could get a job in a factory or whatever, hoping to be staffed one day. So after my secondary school education, life was like: today, you are in business; tomorrow, you are in a printing press, and so on. I think the last place I worked before I met him was in Nigerian Distilleries in Ota.

I was going to ask what you trained in because you are so fluent in expression and other things…

(Laughs)

What qualities eventually cemented the relationship between you and Prophet TB Joshua?

As I told you, he is a very honest and humble man. Yes, he is a God fearing man too. I saw a kind-hearted man, a zealous man, a man of one purpose, a man with a sole aim: to please God at all times, with every other thing being secondary. I think those qualities were what cemented our relationship.

Okay, how were you convinced that he was the man that you were going to spend the rest of your life with?

When I woke up that very morning, I never knew. But something in me said: ‘Go to the prophet.’ And when he proposed to me, it was strange, but then, my heart agreed with it instantly.

Did you say ‘Yes’ there and then?
I don’t think I have said yes up till now! (General laughter)

You can say that again. So, from there, one thing led to another and then your marriage or wedding. When did it take place? How many months or years of courtship did you have?

I am not sure that we courted for long. The wedding took place the same year – 1990.

Where did you get married?
In my place (laughs)

Was it a church wedding or traditional wedding?

Both

Let’s have you talk a little about yourself, when you were born and where, about your family and where you come from.

I was born about 40 years ago into a family of seven.

You don’t look it at all…
(Laughs)

What’s your position in the family?
Fifth, my twin brother and I.

Twin brother? Where is he?
He is late.

What a pity.
There’s no problem. I was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Akabude in the quiet town of Okala Okpuno in Oshimili North local government of Delta State. I started my primary education at St. Emecheta Primary School, Ezi Town, also in Delta State. Years later, I came to Lagos that was in 1977, and completed my primary education here at Orile Primary School, Oshidi, and my secondary education also in Oshodi. That’s all about my education. But a few years later, my husband sent me to Ghana and I was able to take some management courses there.

So, in what practical ways has your ministry complemented your husband’s?I know you are a minister in The Synagogue. What’s your own ministry? Tell us about your ministry.

It’s the ministry of reconciliation.

In marriage?
In all aspects – parents-children relationships, marriage and things like that. I think they go hand-in-hand with one another. You can’t actually separate them.

How does this ministry complement your husband’s ministry, bearing in mind that he is into a prophetic and healing ministry?

When we talk about reconciliation, you need a lot of time to listen to people, to hear them; they want to bare their minds and a prophet hasn’t got that time, especially after talking for hours. But I do that.

What are the peculiar challenges that face you as Mrs TB Joshua?

Challenges?

Yes, are there challenges that you face?
Life is all about challenges. All those problems and trials, I see them as challenges.

Maybe you are getting used to not seeing him regularly as you would have loved to…

No, no, no. What’s he doing? Whatever it is, he has my support.

Seeing a lot of people and having to minister to them…

That’s good.

You mean it doesn’t affect the home in anyway?

Not at all.

Okay, how come you have kept to yourself for so long, because if this is not your first interview with the press, you’ve granted very negligible few? Or is it that you dislike the press?

Not really. You said very few, not that I have not granted any.

You mean you have not come across any?
I’ve not. I hope this will go very far so that someone else does not come to ask me, you’ve not granted any interview… (General laughter) Actually, like the Bible says, there is a time for everything, and God’s time is the best. Maybe, the time is just ripe for what we are doing now.

That is to say, there is a time to keep to yourself and…

And of course, a time to talk. (general laughter)

So, how do you combine your roles as a minister of God, as a mother, as a wife? And, as a mother too, to the teeming crowd that comes to The SCOAN…

Where God guides, He provides. And those whom God has called for any service, He makes them fit for it. So, there is not much problem about that at all.

People believe that there are a lot of myths surrounding your husband. I’ve been his friend since 1989. I’ve heard people say a lot about him. I’ve seen people publish a lot of things about him, and they are still publishing. When you read or hear things that are not palatable being said about your husband, which ultimately must affect the family – how do you react? Do you feel any bitterness?

Point of correction – it is not affecting my family, and can never affect my family in any way because I know my husband, I know who he believes, and I know who I believe. I don’t have any doubt in my mind and I know that the good work the Lord has started in him, He will accomplish and complete, in Jesus’ Name.

So, you don’t feel any bitterness when people write negative things about your husband?

Not at all. I don’t because I know him very well, and I know the God he serves.

How does his ministry complement yours?
I’ve said before that they are one. You can’t actually separate them. People come around. They want to see the prophet. They want to spend time with him. But he hasn’t got such time. You know, many of them want to bare their minds. You need to listen to them carefully. You need to be with them. So, I took up that. You’ve got it? They actually came for him but along the line, you find out that they want to spend more time with him. That’s where I come in.

How do you help your husband to overcome the gargantuan temptations that come his way every day, because this is a man exposed to thousands of people every day, especially women? How do you help him?

You see, you don’t have any alternatives in life. I can as well tell you that we don’t have alternatives in life. Anything that is contrary to what we stand for or what God sent us for, is what we are going to fight against. I can say that God has been merciful enough, guiding and protecting us in that angle.

The reason I asked that question is because I’ve seen many men of God fall because of women, money, fame and other extraneous things…

You should know what you believe. Did you get that? As I said, you cannot afford to fail. There is no other way. So, you must guard against that. And that’s what we’ve been doing.

Could you tell us, in practical terms, how you’ve been guarding against that?

The Bible says our heart is the communication point. If the fear of God is registered in your heart at any time, if you are doing evil, you must know. And so, you must guard that heart at all times. Anything that is contrary to the will of God, you shouldn’t take part in it.

Kenneth Hagin wrote in his book about how he fights the temptation of women. He said his office and his wife’s office are next to each other, and he said he deliberately made it so. And that at every given time, the two doors are open so that the wife sees the person he is counselling and he also sees the person the wife is counselling, just to make sure he fights and defeats the tendencies of the flesh.

Well, it is God that guides. It is God that protects. How long do you keep on watching over a man? I mean, as I’ve just told you, I can say that I know him (Prophet TB Joshua) very well, and I can tell what he is capable of doing. So, that’s no problem at all. All right?

I was expecting you to tell us what measures you’ve put in place to ensure that your husband doesn’t fall into the temptation of immorality while counselling woman…

I don’t take any other measure than to pray for him.

So, what counsel would you give to ministers’ wives as to how they can help the ministry of their husbands, as to how they can protect and preserve their homes while serving God and humanity?

The counsel is, be the woman that God has made you to be. Don’t measure yourself by yourself and don’t live by other people’s standards. Rest in the place God has for you. Be a good mother to your children and a good wife to your husband, and a woman of faith to humanity. Whatever situation you face in life, God is saying something through it and about it.

If your husband were to be in the secular world, he would be a superstar – because here is somebody who sits here, and presidents, top government officials and important people come from across the globe to see him. Do you have that feeling in you of having been married to a superstar?

All we do here is just absolute grace of God. Everything that happens here is by the grace of God, and the joy of the Lord is our strength. So, we don’t feel anything special because important people are coming. Rather, we appreciate the grace of God upon our lives, upon the church, and we give Him all the glory. So, there is no superstar feeling. If there is any superstar, that superstar is Jesus through whom we can do all things. So, I don’t feel any different from who God says I am. My husband doesn’t feel any different from who God says he is.

If this man were not Prophet TB Joshua, would you have married him?

As I told you, apart from being a prophet, I actually saw what I needed in a man. So, it is not a question of being a prophet. It is about his character, his inner being.

What kind of man did you pray to marry before you met him?

Every woman desires to have a good husband, although appearance is deceptive. But God looks at the heart. I wanted a God-fearing man, an honest man and a kind-hearted man. And those are the qualities that I saw in him.

Over the years, you’ve been to many places. What memories do you have of the places you’ve been to, whether in Nigeria or outside?

Good memories. I’ve been to many places, you are right. After this, I still have something good to talk about them, about the people and what they receive from the Lord. We don’t just to because we want to go. We actually visit places because God wants us to be there. And, when we leave there, there are good things to talk about.

What’s your greatest fear in life?
Fear?

Yes.
I don’t fear anything because I know God is there, and He can handle every situation.

What about embarrassing moments? Every human being does encounter embarrassing moments, things that will just happen and they embarrass you…

Embarrassing moments? Have I ever had any?

So, it has all been smooth?
There have been many challenges. I have said that.

What are these challenges? You’ve not told us.
Good and hard times (laughs)

You mean the wife of Prophet TB Joshua can have hard times too?

Because we are human

A man sought after by presidents, kinds and ministers, by everybody?

Sure, we are human.

Thank you very much.
I thank you, too.

Watch out for of their fabricated lies in part 8
