GOD’S WORD WORKING WONDERS IN OUR TIME

TO HIS POWER NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE

TB JOSHUA

In a spirited sermon to awaken the congregation to the power of God, Prophet T. B. Joshua reminded the Church of the greatness of God and His ready disposition to forgive sins, however grievous some of these sins may be. In his words God is capable of doing anything and also forgiving any sin. To His power nothing is impossible. Breaking in on the choral music which had been reverberating all over the Church and to which the congregation responded in unison with elegant steps, Prophet T. B. Joshua enthusiastically spoke on the forgiving spirit of God with copious illustrations. In his words, the past is forgiven. We have seen a sinner’s character healed, the drunkard becoming sober, the harlot becoming chastened and the liar becoming truthful. “What then is the fear?” he asked the congregation. He spiritedly reminded his listeners that if they trust in God, that trust will save them. Trusting in the suffering of Christ is enough to save us, deliver us and make us whole. He concluded the sermon by advising the congregation to remain in trust.

WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?

Wise Man John Chi introduced his message with a series of questions.

How do we achieve a desired goal? Who wants to be saved? What must I do to be saved? He aptly referred the congregation to Acts 16: 29-32 which provided the answer to his questions: Believe in the Lord and you will be saved. According to him, God has promised salvation for whoever shall trust His Son. Race, age brackets, academic qualifications, wealth or any other attribute cannot save us outside Christ. If you are willing to be saved, Jesus is willing. Jesus brings hope and succour to those who trust Him. He is the bread to the hungry and road map to the lost. Whatever you are, you need Christ to be saved. God has a role to play in your salvation just as you too have a role to play. It takes your willingness and God’s ability to bring about your salvation.
Our hearts and minds must be reset to agree with God’s plan for our lives. You must get rid of those things that derail you from God. You cannot experience peace under the dominion of satan. Satan is sin. Another name for satan is sin.

Quoting Psalm 51:7 as a reference text the Wise Man admonished the congregation on the need to be cleansed of sins. According to him King David saw the need to be cleansed. Wash me with water whiter than snow and remove all impurity. David knew he would not have place in God’s kingdom unless he was washed from sins. In his sins, David could not see anything other than the fruit of sin: failure in the family, in the battle field etc. Unless you are cleansed of your sins, your blessing will receive challenges. The attitude of repentance and faith in your heart keeps you closer to God. Mistakes are correctable. If you make a mistake, don’t run from God; run to Him. Because David ran to God in spite of his sins, he remains one of the greatest Kings in Israel today. Your Father in Heaven has anticipated your sins and prepared for you. You have not committed an unpardonable sin. Our lives are in God’s hand and we cannot please Him without a thorough reformation of heart and life. God requires a heart that does not bear grudges. Doubts and unbelief put us on the wrong track. Jesus loves you just as He does any of His children. Jesus is able to forgive all our sins, he concluded.

THE SPIRIT OF APOSTLE PAUL HAS ARRIVED IN MACEDONIA

Wise Man, Harry and his wonderful performances in Macedonia attracted his comments. The prophet told the congregation that the crusade in Macedonia attracted a large turn out of participants. It was so wonderful and even comparable to those spiritually hosted by the prophet himself in Indonesia and Singapore. It had to be extended to the following day i.e. Sunday and Monday. Wise Man, Harry also revealed to Prophet T. B. Joshua his vision to be in Macedonia especially close to Paul and Silas’s prison for tourists to see the wonders of God.
A clip on the wonderful works being performed by Wise Man, Harry surfaced on the screen and the congregation watched with rapt interest.

RECONCILIATION OF BROKEN HOMES
Mr and Mrs Ifah brought out their children and Mrs Ifah, the spokesperson accused their daughter, Judith of witchcraft before the entire congregation. She narrated how a baby of hers died mysteriously after a period of excessive stooling. She painted a picture of lack of peace in their family and of the sickness of her husband which had defied healing.

The daughter, Judith Ifah confessed to being a witch and added that it was the result of the fruit juice which she accepted from one of her classmates. She said she told her mother the dream she had after taking the juice and her mother prayed for her. She revealed that the giver of the juice asked her to bring their baby to the coven and that was the cause of the baby’s death. She said that she ate the baby. She also revealed how she was advised to use a rope to tie her father to his bed and cause his health to deteriorate. All these feats would attract to her a second position in the witchcraft world.
In reaction, Prophet T.B. Joshua advised parents to bring up their children in the way of the Lord to have peace. The child in question was left in the hands of satan because of the parents’ carelessness. The prophet pronounced Judith a witch or demon possessed as presented by the parents.
He then asked the parents to lay hands on her and ask every unclean spirit to leave her. That was how Judith was delivered. The prophet however warned both parents not to call her a witch after the deliverances.

INTERNET VICTIM
A lady by name Memory, from Zimbabwe but living in South Africa confessed how she was hoodwinked promises of monetary offers on the internet. She was taught incantations which she mastered but none of the promises materialised. Instead, her marital home became bedevilled with problems to such an extent that she used the police to eject her husband from the home. She then pleaded with the man of God for deliverance. At the exclamation of the name, Jesus by one of the evangelists she fell down and was delivered.

ACCUSATION OF WITCHCRAFT
One Emmanuel Chijoke and his relations all of the Abraham family from Enugu complained about the problems of setback and deaths in their family attributing all this to their mother.
The genesis of the accusation was a crusade in Abuja at which one of Emmanuel’s cousins was a participant and where he was told by a man of God there that their mother was the brain behind all the woes in the family. The said man of God was then invited to Enugu where he confirmed his earlier vision that their mother was a witch and that only her head and shoulders was human; the chest down to the feet was vulture in appearance. Surprisingly to the family, their mother could not refute the accusation by the man of God. She complained that at that time, her eyes, ears and mouth were muffled and she could not talk.

She then challenged the family to take her to anywhere and they would realise that she is not a witch. This was the reason they came to the SCOAN.

In his verdict, the man of God pronounced the woman witchcraft negative and ordered the children to kneel down to her in apology.

FOOT ULCER HEALED
Before the prayer line, the participants of which were zoomed on the screen,
a lady, 20 year old Miss Sulman who was healed of foot ulcer came to give testimony and also made to show herself to those in the prayer line to reassure them of their healing

HIV AIDS TESTIMONIES
Three men and three women who were healed of HIV AIDS came to give their testimonies. Among them who spoke was 27 year old Mrs Motunrayo Sowemimo,

who was tested positive with Hiv aids type one in the Federal Ministry of Health, Abuja.

After the prayer line where she was declared free, she said she became stronger and ate with more relish.
She went back to the same hospital for another test but thanks to God, she was Hiv negative this time.

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFICIARIES

Miss Oduwole Olayinka

Miss Oduwole Olayinka, a youth worker in the church who came bagged 1st class (Electrical/Electronics), University of Lagos also got a scholarship award from the Church to do a Master degree in one of the best universities in the world. She consequently applied for admission and was offered same in three good universities in the United Kingdom. These were the Universities of Southampton, Edinburgh and that of Surrey.

She picked the University of Southampton as the best and the Church paid a total sum of £13,900 as her fees. Later and in consonance with the man of God’s crave for the best, the University College, London, offered her admission. Without hesitation, she changed her mind and picked the latest offer. A total sum of £18,245 was paid as fees for her to start classes on the 11th of October 2010.
The man of God seized the opportunity to advise the congregation to always look for the needy to help rather than waiting at home for the needy to come to them. In this way, according to the prophet, they would not be helping the wrong people.

God’s Is Still Working In The Church – T.B. Joshua (PALM SUNDAY)

The service at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations began with the usual morning prayer followed by an inspiring Easter message by Evangelist Racine titled, “INSTRUCTION IN RIGHTEOUSNESS”.The man of God, T.B. Joshua came into the service about 10:20 am. He wished everyone a happy Palm Sunday and urged all believers in Christ Jesus to continue to live in the glory and majesty of His resurrection. According to him, “Easter is all about love, redemption, forgiveness, repentance and forbearance. It is time to confess in faith. Whatever a

man confesses in faith, he shall receive because our confession solves the problem. Our confession is our present attitude towards God. Therefore, we should be very careful of what we confess. Your confession is what God says about your situation. Let the Spirit of God guide you in whatever you say or do. The confession of our lips should have our heart’s full agreement. Do not say “Amen” because T.B. Joshua says, “in the name of Jesus Christ”, say “Amen” because you believe. This is the traditional or conventional way of life in which most of us were brought up. If you say, “Amen” when you do not believe, it’s like you are working against yourself because a wrong confession hinders the Spirit’s work in our body. If I say, “Show your excitement” and you are not happy, do not bother because you are in the presence of God.”
After the brief message, the prophet talked about the confirmation of the prophetic message concerning an Asian country given on the 14th of February 2010, which he expounded upon last Sunday, the 21st of March. He had prophesied earlier that we should pray for an Asian country, saying, “Those who lodge in hotel, I see an Asian country. I see a place where thousands of people lodge being burnt.” He mentioned that the event would take place in an Asian country with, “IN” at the initial letters of the spelling of the name, adding that he would set prayer warriors to pray over this matter.

He ended by saying, “Fast and pray on Tuesday.” Last Sunday, 21ST March, the prophet repeated the prophecy, this time giving the name of the Asian country in question. He said, “Pray for India. Remember the country in your prayers. Fast and pray on Tuesday”. In direct confirmation of the prophecy, breaking news footage on CNN on Tuesday showed a report of the fire outbreak in a historic eatery and residential building in Kolkata, India. The prophet noted that if not for God’s intervention, thousands would have lost their lives.
Next, video footage featuring the update of the activities of the Emmanuel TV Haiti Earthquake Relief Team was shown. The reputation of the Emmanuel TV Haiti Earthquake Relief Team has grown to the extent that some large international aid organizations such as OIM and Shelter Box have begun to contribute to their efforts. So far, a large amount of educational materials and large tents have been donated to the Emmanuel TV Team in confidence that in their hands these supplies would get to the people who really needed them most. The Team visited orphanage homes in Arcahaie where they provided several tents as well as educational packs, water purification tablets and medical assistance for the children.
The Team also visited refugee camps outside the capital Port-au-Prince, where they gave out over 20 tents to the most vulnerable people who had been affected by the earthquake. More partners and friends of Emmanuel TV from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, South Africa and Greece joined the Team in Haiti.
The Team from Greece, the most recent group to join the Emmanuel TV Haiti Earthquake relief team in Haiti, took with them a large amount of medical supplies and other essential materials needed at the Emmanuel TV field hospital, Clinique Emmanuel.
SCHOLARSHIPS
During the service, over 30 students from various schools and universities in Nigeria and other countries who are all a part of T.B. Joshua’s scholarship scheme received their school fees, accommodation, feeding allowances as well as 2 bags of rice each for the new term. Among those who spoke in appreciation of T.B. Joshua’s benevolence was Benjamin Aduna Kwane, a Ghanaian and BSc. student of Administration in the University of Ghana, who the man of God granted a scholarship in August, 2009

He has completed his first semester and has come for fees for tuition, accommodation, feeding and projects for the new semester. He concluded his speech by saying that not only has he benefitted financially and spiritually from the man of God, as have many other students but also that he has learnt from the prophet’s act of giving which he sees as worth emulating. In his response, the prophet said that there is no greater will than to raise people in righteousness by offering support and assistance to them without any condition attached so that after their university education, when they are better placed, they would also be a help to others.
The total sum received by these students was 3.1 million naira for their school fees, accommodation, feeding and other needs in addition to 2 bags of rice for each of them.
PROPHECY

Prophecy

Among the numerous people who received messages of prophecy through the prophet that day was Mr Kunle Adeyemi who came to The SCOAN last Sunday because his job was terminated. During the service, the prophet prophesied that there was a man named Kunle who had two homes, two “wives” but only one of them was known to his family. Concerning the second wife, the man of God revealed that there was a plan by certain criminals to attack Mr Kunle one early morning when he would be in the house.

If he was not killed, he would become a “dead-living”. After the prophecy last Sunday, the prophet invited his wife and him for reconciliation and the service today witnessed that reconciliation as Mr Kunle’s wife graciously forgave him.

PRAYER LINE

The prayer began as usual with those who came with bodily afflictions such as leg ulcer, swollen belly and body, hernia and

cancer cases, followed by those with difficulties in walking, mental disorders, epilepsy and similar conditions. Then came people who were diagnosed HIV/AIDS positive from different countries before those with general cases such as stiff neck, fruit of the womb, stomach ulcer, diabetes, hypertension, liver, kidney and heart problems and so on. There were many foreign visitors from various countries also in attendance. In course of the prayer, Prophet T.B. Joshua also ministered the new Anointing Water to the sick and they were all healed. The first service ended at 2:20 PM.
TESTIMONIES
The second service started with testimonies from those who had received healing from using the Anointing Water. Firstly, Mrs Okonkwo Chinwe who came with lumbar spondylosis and was using a lumbar corset and knee braces to ease the pain, was healed through the new Anointing Water at the prayer line. Mr Joshua Ovwo who suffered from the problem of stiff neck due to cervical spondylosis and consequently was using a neck collar was also healed through the ministering of the Anointing Water at the prayer line.

Thirdly, Mr Oviemuno Amraidhe from Delta State testified of how he came to the church a few months ago and the Anointed Water he received from the man of God broke the yoke of barrenness in the lives of his wife and two other women. Mr Amraidhe’s wife, Christy Amraidhe, was diagnosed with the problem of inverted womb. One of the two other women was his brother’s wife, Mrs Ugbosu Sylvestina, a legal practitioner and Mrs Adline Blessing who suffered a tubal blockage due to blood clotting in her tubes. After they all had Anointing Water sprayed into their mouths they met with their husbands and are now seven months pregnant.
Praise and worship by The SCOAN choir followed the testimonies until the prophet returned to the church auditorium to begin the mass prayer. The prophet asked the congregation to rebuke the spirit that kills, steals and destroys and to remove the hands of evil spirits from their affairs.
During the mass prayer, the man of God dished out astonishing prophetic messages. The first prophecy concerned a lady who the man of God said was under the church gallery and was a prostitute living in a hotel. With tears flowing down her face, Miss Rosemary came forward to confirm the prophecy. The prophet said that this lady came seeking deliverance and she must not return to the hotel. After her deliverance, Prophet T.B. Joshua said that people of God should join hands to restore her. Another case was a lady the man of God described as tall, light in complexion and aged 32. The prophet said she was a bed-wetter and that it was an attack. She also possessed a ghost spirit and any man who met with her would in turn, bed-wet.
Prophet T.B. Joshua also gave a national prophecy. He said, “Let us pray for our countries and ask God to redeem your land. I see a flag being brought down. Which country? I see three. One and two were wet but now the third. Wet flag cannot fly but goes down. Pray for your country for redemption.” Then the song, ‘God’s intervention’ was sung while the congregation reflected over the prophet’s words. After the song, the man of God gave instruction to believers worldwide to observe fasting on Tuesday and Thursday concerning the prophecy.
The service ended around 7:00 PM rounded up with the deliverance of some of the people who had received a word of prophecy including the prostitute and the lady who used to bed-wet. Join us again next week for the next live service at the SCOAN to witness the evidence of Jesus Christ which is lives changed, Only on Emmanuel TV. Emmanuel! God with us.

MIRACLES FIFA U-17 world cup Manager Healed – TB JOSHUA

Author: Lucas Moore

MIRACLES ABOUND AMONGST US ON EARTH.

In this life that we live in, certain events and occurrences are yet to be completely appreciated and comprehended. For example, it is common knowledge that a woman is expected to carry her pregnancy for a period of 9 months, after which delivery of the baby is expected. Nevertheless, there are recorded cases of women who require as much as 1 to 3 years before the delivery of their baby. When the previous occurs, it is regarded as a model; on the contrary, when the latter occurs, it is regarded as out of the ordinary.

Uncommon events are sometimes regarded as miracles. Miracles and their realism have been debated among religious and philosophical scholars. While some believe and uphold its presence, others frown at the claims that it exists, describing it as a mere plot to coax people into believing the doctrine of a particular religion. Interestingly, there are several recorded happenings which suggest that miracles abound amongst us on earth and it is indeed a reality. One of such is the case of Mrs. Okorie Esther.

At 43, Mrs. Okorie Esther from Anambra state, East of Nigeria was diagnosed of Mal-united tibia, plateau fractures and fracture of the left ankle. Her mobility was aided by the use of a set of crutches, which she ensured was always her companion, in order to move around, albeit so much in serious pains and discomfort. She had been booked for a total knee replacement. The doctors had advised that she should reject the only option that could ensure that she would walk again as a normal person. The advice from the medical doctors was necessitated by the fact that, at 43, she was too young to undergo that kind of procedure, and this could result in total loss of the use of her legs and their functions.

In an attempt to recover the use of her legs, Mrs Okorie had resorted to herbalists, who milked her of her money, guaranteeing eventual success. When she realized that this was yielding no tangible result, she decided to turn to God for a miracle. With the numerous miraculous healings that she had read about and saw on Emmanuel TV, she decided that her next and final port of call was The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations, where she believed that with a touch from Prophet TB Joshua, she would be declared free from her terrible condition.

Like they say, let us hear from the horse’s mouth:

“My name is Mrs. Okorie Esther, I am 43 years old, from Anambra state but I reside in Abuja. I was a volunteer manager for the recently concluded FIFA U-17 world cup, Nigeria 2009. What brought me to The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations is Mal-united tibia, plateau fractures and fracture of the left ankle. I cannot walk alone with my legs so I have to use crutches wherever I want to go. Just before the games, I slipped and fractured the distal of my ankle, both the tibia and the fibular. Prior to this, two years ago, precisely January 13th, after I was involved in a car crash and I was diagnosed of fracture of the tibia, and this very fracture before the games had caused a mal-united fracture of my tibia and I have been referred to Artemis Health institute, India, for a total knee replacement but the doctors there have warned me that the procedure is not ideal for a person of my age. They said that I am too young for the procedure and that it could result in a total collapse of the functions of my legs.”

Continuing she said: “I have gone to many hospitals and the condition has not improved. I have even visited different herbalists, but all to no avail. I remembered that I once saw how people were healed on Emmanuel TV; I have also read testimonies of people that were healed by God through Prophet TB Joshua. I then decided that this was the final destination for me to receive my healing. I have come from Abuja because I believe that God can use the man of God TB Joshua to heal me”.

Interestingly, before praying for her, Prophet TB Joshua turned to the large number of worshippers inside the church auditorium and asked a question. He asked: “Do we have anyone here that believes that God cannot use him or her to perform miracle at all? You believe that God cannot use you, you believe that there is no miracle, you find it difficult to believe that there is miracle – stand up”.

“I find it hard to believe that there are miracles. I don’t believe it because I cannot understand how it works” screamed a young man, who jumped out of the crowd with enthusiasm. “My name is Obachide Ani, a Nigerian based in South Africa and although I have been a Christian for a very long time, I am yet to believe in miracles because I don’t understand how it happens. That is why I find it hard to believe it,” he said.

The following conversation ensued between Prophet TB Joshua and Mr. Ani:

Prophet TB Joshua: What do you understand is her problem?

Mr. Obachide Ani: It’s worse, man of God.

Prophet TB Joshua: Go and meet her and find out the situation she is in; so that I can now reveal God to you.

Mr. Obachide Ani: Ok, man of God.

Prophet TB Joshua: Anybody can be used to raise the dead but to maintain that grace of continuing doing it is where the problem lies. You go there now and touch the woman.

You first of all ask for forgiveness and say “Lord, your mercy and favour is all I need”, Prophet TB Joshua continued.

Repeat after me “Thank you lord. Your mercy and your favour is all I need. Forgive my sins Lord. Son of David, have mercy on me and commit yourself to the healing of this sister in Jesus Christ’s name”.

You can now bend down and touch the leg.

Mr Ani offered the prayer and touched her legs. Prophet TB Joshua then instructed Mr Ani to hold her right hand and lay his hand on her head, praying to God to heal her. After praying for her, Prophet TB Joshua told the woman, “Woman, it is not this man that is working, it’s God – rise up”!

Immediately, Mrs Okorie, whose only means of mobility was the crutches, stood up and walked by herself. “I am healed! Thank you Lord”, she screamed. Joy filled the air as Mrs. Okorie shouted at the top of her voice, thanking God for declaring freedom on her life and ending the pains and suffering she had endured.

This miracle in the life of Mrs. Okorie Esther confounded Mr. Obachide Ani and served as a proof to him that indeed miracles abound in the midst of men, and that God is the same today, tomorrow and forever; He never changes. God can use any medium to express Himself to man and He chooses whichever vessel He deems fit, sometimes going against the expectations and criteria of man.

‘ATTRIBUTING THE SATELLITES SUCCESS TO ME IS BLASPHEMY’ – T.B. JOSHUA

On the heels of the recent controversy sparked by insinuations that Nigerian Pastor TB Joshua had claimed glory for the Black Satellites World Cup victory through his prophetic insight to Coach Sellas Tetteh, a similar event seems to have thrown a spanner in the works of the pastors critics…
A mere fortnight after the Satellite debate was at its hottest, revelations have emerged how coach of the current Nigerian U-17 Team, John Obuh, also received prophetic insight from T.B. Joshua concerning the Golden Eaglets last match with Argentina in the ongoing FIFA U-17 World Cup. Prophet Joshua also debunked the allegations of claiming glory for the Satellites triumph, referring to such statements as blasphemous and uncalled for.

On Sunday 4th November, a recorded conversation between the Nigerian cleric and Eaglets coach John Obuh was played back to The SCOAN congregation, an event broadcast live to the world via Emmanuel TV. Obuh was said to have called Joshua on Thursday, the day before the Argentine match on Friday.

“I Am A Gentle Donkey” – Prophet TB Joshua

“I told you in under 2 to 5 minutes they will score,” Joshua was heard telling the coach. “I want to assure you – your people are going home one ahead. That is the promise of God. But for five minutes they will be very dangerous – let us mark our home. 15 minutes to go will be for us – we must make use of it.” Coach Obuh told Joshua he had already informed the players of the prophecy. Another conversation was then played between Joshua and the Eaglets assistant coach Abimbola Samuel in which he told him in a local Nigerian dialect, “Your boys will work a penalty when it is 15 minutes to go…”

As events would have it, the match followed in the footprints of the revelation, Argentina scoring in the first two minutes, Nigeria winning a penalty in the last 15 and eventually winning by one goal to top their group and advance convincingly to the knock-out stages.

Speaking to the enthralled congregants, Joshua clearly defined the role of a prophet in such scenario, demystifying the rumour that he was attempting to ascribe glory to himself. “I cannot help anyone to win any match – I am just a servant,” he carefully explained. “A prophet is to tell God’s opinion. It’s a blasphemy, sin against Holy Spirit if you say a prophet is the one who helped someone win a match. I am a gentle donkey. I am just a donkey Jesus is riding on. If somebody drops beautiful clothes, attires on the floor for the donkey to march on, it is not the donkey they dropped the attire on the floor for, but the One on top.”

He further explained how the opinion of God can guide the team concerned, but the prophet who delivers such message has no say whatsoever in the matter. “There is nothing I can do – I am just a servant. I cannot touch it, I cannot alter it. It is God that can alter anything. A prophet doesn’t make a team win – a prophet only tells you the mind of God. When we know God’s opinion, it will help us to guard against mistake and error…”

The storm that erupted in Ghana over the Satellites Saga seems not to have deterred or discouraged the Nigerian pastor, who is widely known as one of the most persecuted pastors in Africa. Using his own life experience, he encouraged the viewers and those present that they must pass through both schools of persecution and praise as part of the necessary preparation for the journey ahead. “I feel strong in challenges, believing that personal improvement and fulfilment come through the continual process of learning from both negative and positive experiences,” he explained.

Recalling the words of his late mother that have been a source of inspiration for him, Joshua lyrically expounded, “When times are stable, and the sea is calm and secure, no one is really tested.” “People will challenge you, question you, try to get you off track,” he bluntly told the audience. “Don’t listen to the temptation to act out of character.”

On the presumption that such precise prophetic revelations can be dished out according to his own will, Joshua made it clear that the God of all nations who reveals such mysteries shows no partiality, attending equally to all who come to Him in humility and sincerity. “A prophet is a prophet to all nations irrespective of where he is from, and God is the Father of all – and He treats His children equally. For those who come to Him in humility, He opens His heart – and if you receive a prophet because he is a prophet, you receive a prophet’s reward…”

On the reason for the seemingly sudden burst of prophetic revelations about football, the pastor explained it is simply part of God’s mission to save souls, especially those of young people. “God wants to win the souls of young people – and young people today are into games such as football,” he clarified. “If they now see God’s hand in their midst, they will begin to believe God. It’s a game that unites other religions and Christians, even pagans – everyone unites when it is time of the game.”

Speaking on the qualities of true ministers of God, Joshua pointed to the importance of contentment, saying it is the lack of contentment that often causes people to engage in petty and unnecessary criticism of others. “When you are content – you will not compare yourself to others, you will not stand and begin to accuse your fellow brother or pray to rebuke and destroy them… The principle of a contented man is ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ ” Instead of criticising from afar, men of God should do what is good to change the bad they see, Joshua admonished.

The same service also witnessed the testimony of an armed robber who had come to the church last week armed with a gun, and the presentation of a brand new Mercedez car to a physically challenged man who had been begging for food with his three children for many months, his electrical shop having burned down a week after his wife tragically died. The reformed robber was supported with N200,000 while the physically challenged man had earlier been given N330,300, all part of Joshua’s extensive charitable activities.

Of TB Joshua, Sellas Tetteh, Media Hype And A Profound Prophecy

The news of Pastor TB Joshua’s involvement in the Black Satellites World Cup victory continues to evoke a series of reactions…

The recent revelations of TB Joshua’s prophetic insight and instruction to Coach Sellas Tetteh regarding the Black Satellite’s historic World Cup triumph have ignited a surprising storm of criticism, the news spreading like a proverbial fire across the nation with frenzied argument and dispute arising in its wake. A glance through the flood of heated responses posted on various online news sites seems to paint a unanimous picture, pointing to a profound principle: “What people don’t understand, they criticize.”

Firstly, I think it is imperative to state that if you do not have a thorough knowledge of the

ministry and antecedents of Pastor TB Joshua, it would be almost impossible to absorb or appreciate the uncanny accuracy of this prophetic revelation. From a purely rational angle based on worldly experience and exposure, it sounds either farcical, fraudulent or fabled. However, this sort of supernatural scenario and the ensuing controversy is not new to the Nigerian Pastor. From the onset of his ministry, he has persistently stepped out of the crowd and achieved unique feats that were consistently met with misjudgement and argument by some, as well as adulation and acclamation by others – just as it was in the time of Jesus Christ (John 7:12).

The common thread of questions that seem to throng Ghanaian minds in the light of this disclosure are: Why didn’t Pastor Joshua choose help his own nation Nigeria who were disgraced in Egypt? What is his motive for unveiling such clips to the world? What on earth is he doing recording his phone call with Tetteh? What is God’s interest in football? Some have also impertinently made untold demands of his prophetic gifting, as if it were a mere button you press to obtain instantaneous result.

I would like to address these points to the best of my ability. To begin with, prophecy does not originate or proceed from the will of any mortal man, nor is it the product of any

Prophet TB Joshua - All these things are not brought to pass by anything done by me. Therefore, all boasting is excluded.

reasoning factors or faculties (2 Peter 1:21). According to dictionary definitions, prophecy is an inspired declaration of divine will and purpose, foreknowledge of presently hidden things which cannot be known by the natural light of reason, the foretelling of the future through a direct revelation from God. It’s not magic; it’s not predetermined, nor is it something to be dished out according to individual will or wish. The prophet is not the instigator or the focus of a prophecy – he is simply a mouthpiece of God, a communicator between the visible and invisible.

TB Joshua’s prophetic ministry did not begin last Friday in his discussion with Coach Tetteh. There have been numerous and verifiable records of his predictions coming to pass pertaining events of both national and international relevance. These include the death of iconic pop legend, Michael Jackson, the release of Ingrid Betancourt from the Colombian jungles, the recent plane crash in New York, amongst countless others. On the football front, he has accurately predicted the outcome of the last two Super Eagles qualifiers between Tunisia and Mozambique. Aside, each Sunday Service at The SCOAN unveils the remarkable prophetic gifting ministered by the Prophet to individuals who attend his church, with Joshua uncannily telling them intricate and accurate details about their lives, the solution furthermore provided. For those in doubt, his services are broadcast live on Emmanuel TV – raw, real and radical.

In respect of the recording, any viewer of Emmanuel TV would know that Prophet Joshua is a meticulous and emphatic keeper of records. I was astounded upon viewing clips of his early life and ministry in a documentary titled, ‘My Testimony’. When an unknown and unkempt Joshua started his Synagogue with a mere 8 members, he called a cameraman and asked him to record it. Every single step of his ministry has record – down to when his church was destroyed thrice by the elements. From a logical viewpoint, it seems ludicrous, but it was inspired by the vision that one day people would see the record and glorify God for the extraordinary journey He has taken His servant on. The same vision that propelled Joshua to record his humble beginnings also prompted him to record his telephone conversations with Tetteh, for the same purpose of glorifying God and teaching the masses a vital and valuable lesson in faith and obedience. Joshua saw the vision and had such courage and confidence in its validity, for God had not failed him in times-past. Besides, if the record was not there – the same people criticizing today would be liable to doubt, demanding for the evidence.

As for Joshua’s motive, the answer correlates to the question of why the prophetic message involved football. Football is a proven powerful and practical force that unites people across age, faith, race and creed. The potential for people to submit their lives to Christ as a result of this prophecy is enormous – and without seeing, our generation without faith and hope would simply not believe, hence the need to unveil this record to the world. God’s glory is paramount and forefront, not the messenger He chose to use in this particular instance. The notion of Joshua taking the glory for the Satellites victory is ridiculous. We all know the brilliance and resilience of our boys that saw them through the entirety of their games in Egypt to the trophy.

Now to the role of Ghanaian media, headlines such as ‘SCANDAL: Tetteh confirms pastor made Ghana U20 team selection’ are uncalled for and unrepresentative of what truly

occurred. Both Joshua and Tetteh’s roles and words are being distorted by media who want to unnecessarily hype up the scenario. Coach Tetteh sought to know the opinion of God concerning the final, knowing that God’s opinion can guard and guide them against error and mistake. Upon hearing from God, Joshua revealed to him that no goal would be scored, penalties would determine the outcome and Dede Ayew should take the first penalty kick. Simple. This does not in any way undermine the Satellites skill and stamina, nor does it take away from Tetteh’s coaching abilities and instincts. It only emphasizes the importance of God in all facets of life, a revelation the Ghanaian president John Atta Mills can also testify to. In his own case, he sought the mind of God before election time, and Joshua told him there would be three elections and the results would be announced in January. Both individuals sought to know the mind of God from His servant, it was revealed – and they came to pass, to the glory of God and the good of Ghana. In any case, anyone watching the final cannot deny God’s involvement – the higher hand seeming to guard the Ghanaian posts and frustrate every Brazilian attempt on goal, even against 10-man Ghana.

I would advise all still doubting to watch Joshua’s television station: Emmanuel TV and

judge for yourself. To the blind critics, consider the words of a wise man: “Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.” (Acts 5:38-39)

The Synagogue pastor told P.M.Sports further that the Ghanaian President, Prof. Attah Mills phoned him to seek success for his team before the match. “I told him (Mills) that his team would win if they follow divine instruction. They did and they won the cup to the glory of Africa.

“You know when they sent off that Ghanaian player from the pitch, the Ghanaian coach phoned me and I t old him not to worry. I asked him to tell his boys to defend well and that no goal will be scored during that half and no goal was scored,” he added.

During the penalties, Joshua it was gathered, phoned coach Tetteh, who did not want Ayew to start the penalty shootout, to allow Ayew take the first penalty to seal victory for the team.

After the victory, the Ghanaian coach was full of praises for Prophet T. B. Joshua for standing by his team. When asked if the Super Eagles of Nigeria will qualify for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa next year, Prophet Joshua has this to say: “Super Eagles will qualify if they play the game as if it all depends on thIS.

With the whole of Africa still celebrating Ghana’s historic feat at the recently concluded FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt, the man singled out as the brain behind the success by the country’s President, Prophet T.B. Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) has revealed his own side of the story.

Prophet Joshua divulged to Complete Sports in an

exclusive interview at the church premises on Saturday, that Ghana’s President, Professor Attah Mills and Black Satellites coach, Sellas Tetteh were constantly in touch with him on Friday morning (match day), for prayers and counseling.

According to him, “Mr. President and the coach were constantly in touch with me on the morning of the match. We talked severally before, during and after the match. I told them that they should remain focused on the task ahead of them with a special warning that they should not hustle to score a goal in the regulation time. I warned that if they should look for goals, they will end up losing the game.

“They called me again at half time and I repeated the same thing. This time around, I specifically told them to rush things as the match will be settled after extra time. That means after 15 minutes of two halves.

“When the penalty kicks were about to start, they called me again to ask how it will go. I just told the coach that, he should allow his number ten (Andre Ayew) to take the first kick and they will end up winning the game.

“They took to my advice and everything went favorably well at the end of the day, and we are all celebrating this great feat by our African brothers.”

It would be recalled that the revered man of God had predicted correctly, matches involving the

Super Eagles recently. On the list are the matches between Ghana and Nigeria at the Nations Cup in 2008, Nigeria versus Tunisia and last Sunday’s crunch tie between the Super Eagles and Mambas of Mozambique.

TB Joshua On Nigeria, Mozambique Match – ”This man will head a goal for us”

TB Joshua On Nigeria, Mozambique Match – ”This man will head a goal for us”

On the heels of his accurate prediction concerning the Super Eagles stalemate with Tunisia last month, Prophet TB Joshua has released yet another prophetic revelation pertaining the footballing arena, an incredible confirmation coming mere hours thereafter…

In a proclamation of uncanny precision, controversial Nigerian Pastor TB Joshua has once again shocked his plethora of critics and wowed his army of supporters, this time correctly prophesying the result of Nigeria’s World Cup qualifying encounter with Mozambique, just hours before the match commenced…

“I learn you will play ball today,” said Joshua during the weekly service at The Synagogue Church of All Nations on Sunday 11th October, beamed live to the world via Emmanuel TV. It was approximately 2pm. “Do you want me to talk about it?” A thunderous roar from the crowd sounded their palpable eagerness to hear more. “Because the man was heading ball like a footballer, I quickly remembered that you have ball today,” said the prophet, referring to a member among the congregation who had earlier jerked his head under the Spirit’s influence. “We need a goal to lead the other people. If we can just have one goal to lead them. We need a goal ahead of these people. It’s not every time they will beat us. Draw, draw, draw, draw…” Proceeding to demonstrate someone scoring a goal, the prophet then shouted, “A goal!” much to the delight of the riveted Nigerians within the church. “We’ll smile differently today. This man will head a goal for us. We’ll smile.” The beaming prophet went on to demonstrate someone heading a ball, indicating the means by which Nigeria would score the winning goal in their crucial encounter with Mozambique.

Obinna Nsofor - heading Nigeria aheadObinna Nsofor – heading Nigeria ahead

Hours later in the Abuja National Stadium, the match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Black Mambas of Mozambique kicked off at around 5:15pm. It was a critical contest that would either dash Nigeria’s World Cup dreams or keep the flames of hope alive. In a largely frustrating game with countless scoring opportunities missed by the Nigerian strikers, the game approached the final minutes with a stagnant score line, neither team able to register a single goal. As the game entered stoppage time, Nigeria frantically piled on the pressure, knowing a draw would signal an end to their South African ambitions. In literally the last attack of the match, Obafemi Martins close-range shot was parried by the impressive Mozambiquan goal-stopper Joao Kapango, only for the ball to be hooked back into the box for Obinna Nsofor to head home from six yards, finally breaking the resilient Mozambique defence. Seconds later the match ended with Nigeria securing a vital 1-0 victory, left to hope a fumble from Tunisia in the final qualifying match would gain them a ticket to South Africa 2010.

Interestingly, the outcome of last month’s qualifier between Tunisia and Nigeria was also predicted by TB Joshua. The prophet had stated on Sunday 6th September that he saw the match as a ‘balanced’ affair, further describing it as a ‘tough’ game. “They could not take a decision – who is the most powerful among the two,” he said. The match eventually ended in a 2-2 stalemate.

Prophet Joshua’s repertoire of accurate predictions continues to steadily increase, his prophetic ministry coming to the fore of late with predictions such as the deaths of Michael Jackson and Gani Fawehinmi being widely reported. The prophet is also known for his extensive charitable activities, giving over N4.3m worth of scholarships to less-privileged students in the course of the same service on Sunday 11th October, alongside N500,000 to a widow and her nine children who had been living in and eating from a rubbish dump in Delta State for over four years.

His ministry continues to attract growing support and patronage across Africa, particularly due to the popularity of his television station Emmanuel TV.
