At about 7:24am, the church was filled to capacity by people from different parts of Nigeria and other countries of the world. Faith-

building songs were rendered by the choir and lasted for about two hours before the ministration by Wise Man John Chi. The subject of the ministration was “Cultivate An Independent Mind”. He said that without an independent mind, we would be prone to taking the decisions of the majority who look up to others for direction and always live in fear. “Everyone is exposed to things that are not consistent with God’s Word“, he asserted.

Jesus Christ, he maintained, knows the relevance of cultivating an independent mind and made a difference in his days. He said we were designed to do something new, unique and beyond human comprehension, adding that we should leave our imprints in a positive way and always itch to do what others have not done. “Those who possess faith do what is otherwise impossible”, he said, noting that satan hates an independent mind because it thinks for itself and examines all things in the light of God’s Word.

He therefore, admonished that we should always have the mind of God, do things that are consistent with His Word, stay in faith in Jesus Christ, and follow the example of Joseph who made a difference in his world and knew that salvation is personal.

“With the mind of Christ, you will know what Christ knows, and when the Holy Spirit enters you, you will become a channel of healing”, he assured.

In his own message, Prophet T.B. Joshua announced the arrival of Wise Man Harry from Washington, in the USA, and promised to join the wise men in ministering prophecies and prayers during the second service. “Satan is in trouble”, he assured. He announced that the video clips of the crusade in the USA had been received and assured that they would be released before the end of the week.

The prophet also spoke on the new Anointing Stickers, saying that people had started to testify to their spiritual potency. He also spoke on the new Anointing Water. According to him, “God has given us the new Anointing Water but has not finally released it. I am still listening to his instructions on how to release it and give it out”.

He emphasised that the ministration of prophecies and prayers by wise men last week attested to the power of the Holy Ghost manifested through them. “When they lay their hands on you, it is like you put fire on your head, especially if you have not submitted your life to Christ”, he said.

Standing in the prayer line last week, an evil spirit within her said it had caused her not to have affection for her husband. It also said that each time she prayed and applied the Anointing Water, it felt fire burning it.

After her deliverance, she told the congregation that she used to see snakes, masquerades and dead people in her dreams, as well as swim inside a river. She was also often fed with food in her dreams, had sex in her dreams, was always full of anger for her husband. She explained that after her deliverance, she had a dream where the spiritual husband appeared to her one more time. Suddenly Prophet T.B Joshua also appeared to her in her dream and upon seeing the prophet, the evil spirit ran away. Both husband and wife said that they now enjoy their marriage. They advised that people in similar situations should run to God. Prophet T.B Joshua then prophesied that he saw a beautiful baby girl coming into the family soon.

Using the story of Ahab and Prophet Micaiah in 2 Chronicles, Prophet T.B. Joshua continued the message from last week, titled, ‘The Truth Sustains God’s Prophets’. Referring to the initial 400 prophets invited by the King of Israel, Ahab, to prophesy on the outcome of the planned war at Ramoth Gilead, he said, “In searching for the truth, we must look within and beyond our palace”.

He said the truth is older than terror, because God symbolizes truth, and thus, the foundation of every experience. “As truth was older than terror, so it will survive it; it got the start and it will get the race. The day will declare who is in the right and who is in the wrong. God is truth”.

He further explained that, “God confirms the word of His servants by accompanying it, by establishing it. God gives being (life) to His Word. You can speak His Word but God gives life/ being. If He has not given being to His Word, the Word is dead but when He gives that life, the Word becomes life”.

Former Germany-based Nigerian delivered from a 16 year addiction to eating and drinking faeces mixed with his sperm and urine the previous week, Mr Makaila Malomo was invited to speak to the congregation. Knowing there was more to his terrible addiction, T.B. Joshua sent a team of evangelists to accompany Mr Malomo to his home where what he had been doing behind closed doors was uncovered. A documentary of the visit to his home was shown during his testimony where he opened up and said that he was an occultist. The video revealed his altar, full of charms, images, incense and divination articles which he had been using to acquire power. He showed the sand removed from his parents’ graves and numerous magical books with which he did conjuration of evil spirits.

He demonstrated how he worshipped at the occultic altar and how he dressed up every morning, wearing special magically charged clothes. Drawn on the walls of his house were different images showing his deep familiarity with evil spirits. He explained how previously, every night, he would eat his faeces, sperm and urine as part of his routine occultic practices.

Mr Malomo spoke on his experience over the years and how the evil spirit had actually entered him. While studying Journalism in London, he began reading occultic books and watching horror films. After his imprisonment, he spent countless hours reading supernatural and occultic books in the prison library. With his mind so consumed by the occultic world, when the demon visited him in prison and compelled him to eat the concoction of his faeces, sperm and urine in order to attain such power, he unwittingly obeyed. He showed the two dolls he had been using to masturbate himself in order to release needed sperm for his power-seeking spirituality. He said his occultic books gave him inspiration and showed him how to contact demons and destroy people.

Mr Malomo then testified that ever since his deliverance last week, all desire to consume his faeces, sperm and urine disappeared instantly. The day after his deliverance, when going to the toilet, the offensive odour of his faeces dawned on him for the first time in 16 years and he quickly flushed the toilet and sprayed air freshener, ashamed that he had ever eaten such a revolting concoction. He said that he is now eating regularly and is taking care of his appearance. He thanked God for delivering him from this repulsive addiction that had tormented his life!

Next to speak was Cecilia Imade, an elderly woman from Benin who was prayed for by Wise Man Harry during the Monday Service. The video of her deliverance was shown and the moment she was touched, the evil spirit in her manifested and she became violent towards the wise man. Surprised at the violent response of this elderly woman, Prophet T.B. Joshua asked her what was the cause of her reaction.

She responded that she had seen fire all over Wise Man Harry and couldn’t look at his face and from that moment on, she had no awareness of what followed. She was equally shocked to see her karate like movements during the encounter that the evil spirit had compelled her to do.

Mrs Imade, who is originally from Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, explained that after Harry touched her, her body became light when she got up. When young, according to her, she became an orphan so early, and had lived with her uncle. She married at the age of 12 and soon after, dreamt that she had turned into a snake at home and crawled into the Iyogan River. She later dreamt that a man came to her to share money to people and walked into her room claiming to have paid her bride price (dowry).

Explaining how this spiritual husband had affected her life, she said that she married three husbands from who she later separated due to unexplained anger. She was also pursued by mad people. She used to sell the local delicacy, ‘moinmoin’ in New Benin, where she often saw a male lunatic attempting to hold on to her, as if he was her husband. She had to keep pursuing him with a stick, to avoid embarrassment. She related how the spirit of lust had led her to walk up to a young man in a vehicle and asked him to sleep with her. In the midst of all this, her and all her children were bedwetting. She had seen Emmanuel TV in her family house, and she was convinced her deliverance would come if she came to The SCOAN. Her pathetic story moved the church.

Lovelyn Etima explained how she had been introduced to prostitution in school by a friend who later initiated her by giving her an occultic necklace and earring to wear to a party.  Ever since then, she would see herself in her dreams in the marine kingdom where she was given the assignment of destroying men by collecting their sperm and giving it to the ‘Queen Mother’. In this evil kingdom, she was instructed never to marry or have children in the physical world but was promised she would be promoted if she brought more than 10 sperm each day. This pushed her to sleep with up to 20 men each day.  These men would subsequently be destroyed and would be unable to father children.

After leaving school, she broke the covenant and attempted to marry on three occasions but each attempt resulted in the death of her fiancés by accident. When she came to The SCOAN for deliverance, the evil spirit pushed her to stay outside the church during the entirety of the Sunday service. The next day, as the man of God asked all the pregnant women to come inside the church, she entered and was delivered through an encounter with Wise Man Harry, in Jesus’ name. She testified that since her deliverance, she slept well and was no longer tormented by the spiritual husband.

Jonathan Ogiku told how he lost his job in 2011 and life became terrible for him. He had the opportunity to receive the Anointing Water when he came to The SCOAN. He prayed with it, and a week later, he saw T.B. Joshua in a dream congratulating him. A week after that, he received a letter of appointment. To his surprise, he was interviewed for and was given the position of General Manager, something he never expected.

He advised that people should know that nothing is impossible to God’s power. Only He can turn their problems to testimonies.

Gladys Dogbaje from Ghana testified to her deliverance from an addiction to eating ice cubes for 12 long years. The addiction had resulted in severe stomach pains, persistent bleeding and fibroids. After her deliverance last week, Gladys testified that her craving for ice cubes immediately vanished and her bleeding stopped miraculously.

Lily Mastara from Zimbabwe shared a similar testimony. She had been addicted to eating ice cubes for eight years which had also led to chest pain. After her deliverance last week following the prayer of Wise Man Racine, she has stopped eating ice cubes and now sleeps well. She has no desire to eve see ice cubes again! She advised all those who are addicted to come to the church because, “God is able to do touch every case

Surely TB Joshua A Prophet Among

THERE has been so much controversy surrounding Nigerian prophet TB Joshua, a man renowned world over yet most vilified over for his miracle healing services and predictions. The controversies have been raging ever since TB Joshua’s ministry stormed into the public domain bringing into question the legitimacy of his works. In talking about legitimacy, I am referring to the standards as set forth in the scriptures, which would help us, identify a genuine prophet. Who then is TB Joshua?

TB Joshua

TB Joshua whose full names are Temitope Balogun Joshua was born on June 12, 1963, in a village called Arigidi, in Ikare Akoko, Ondo State of Nigeria. He is married to Evelyn and has four children. TB Joshua, the founder and pastor of The Synagogue Church Of All Nations is said to have sparked controversy starting with his mysterious birth. He allegedly remained in his mother’s womb for 15 months before he was born. He attended primary school at St Steven Anglican school from 1971-1977, but failed to complete one year of secondary school. But as he was growing up, he was known as a “small pastor” because of his love for the Bible and ability to predict things to come in his community. He further gained reputation for spiritual prowess after confronting and disarming a madman who was wielding a machete in the school premises. While in school he was the leader of a scripture union.

When Joshua started the Synagogue Church of All Nations in 1987, he just had a handful of members but since then the church has grown far beyond the shores of Nigeria. More than 15,000 members attend the weekly Sunday service. Numerous videos have been produced documenting the healing of incurable sickness, cancer, paralysis, AIDS, showing people’s conditions before, during and after prayer. Medical doctors have examined the patients before and after and have testified to a supernatural activity beyond medical science. TB Joshua does not even claim to be healer but says, “I am just God’s servant”.

TB Joshua has made phenomenal predictions in full view of a global audience on the satellite Christian Television, Emmanuel TV and all of them have come to pass. He predicted the death of president Levy Mwanawasa a month before it happened, the disastrous cyclone in Myanmar, the attempted assassination of the prime minister of Lesotho Pakalitha Mosisili, resignation of Pakistan president Pervez Musharaf, the comet slam into planet Jupiter which caused quite a fray in the scientific community and more recently the death of American pop star Michael Jackson.

On Michael Jackson’s death, the prophet was seen by a global audience via his television network saying, “I see a star being rushed to the hospital but he wont come back home, the whole world will be shocked. He is a great star in his world”. To add mystery to this prediction, TB Joshua sent a message through the pop star’s associates to let Michael come for prayer and deliverance in Nigeria. The associates thought the message a bit misplaced, because Michael was declared medically fit by his doctors and he was billed for a world concert tour beginning July 13. But alas! That was not to be, he died on June 25 before seeing Prophet TB Joshua.

Despite all these happenings Prophet TB Joshua has come under heavy attack from many, some of whom have labelled him a false prophet. And the debate about the authenticity of his ministry unfortunately has been orchestrated by a section of the clergy within the charismatic Pentecostal brand of Christendom. This has left many lay people unfamiliar with scriptures, let alone issues of Christian theology confused, as reverends or bishops are keener to criticise prophet TB Joshua than providing Biblical counsel.

Since the beaming of Emmanuel TV on free channel stations in most parts of Zambia, we have witnessed an unprecedented following of TB Joshua’s programmes.  As a result, emotive debates have emerged from the pulpits to the pews, between clergy and lay people. The man has arrived on the scene, should we dismiss him or his utterances as the ravings of a madman? How do we know for sure that we have a prophet among us?

This article is written on the assumption that the readers hold to the sacredness of the Bible as the inspired scriptures from whence we would draw our authority in judging a matter as heresy or sound doctrine. It is against this background that we seek to examine the ministry of this man, in the light of scriptures. There are fundamental rules in the scriptures, which must be used to judge whether something is of God, or not. In the absence of this knowledge, one would easily find themselves opposing God or abetting apostasy. To begin with, if one does not subscribe that the Bible is the inspired word of God, they will have nothing to do with this subject at hand because there would be no basis by which any meaningful discourse can rest upon.

But if we want to find out if he is a fraud as some are claiming, or a true servant of the Lord, we can only do so with the aid of scriptures. Let’s examine for example the standards used in the scriptures to test a prophet. Deuteronomy 18:20; “But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded him to say, or prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, must be put to death. You may say to yourselves, ‘how can we when a message has been spoken by the Lord? If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, do not be afraid of him”.(New International Version)

The precise knowledge of the future according to this scripture, is a preserve of the Most High God, and only God can reveal detailed events to happen in the future to His servants. Therefore, if a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord and the events take place, then you need to pay heed lest you find yourself opposing the Holy Spirit.

In the book of 1 John 4:2 :“This is how you can recognise the Spirit of God; every spirit that acknowledges Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the anti-christ which you head is coming and even now is already in the world”. The authenticity of any ministry is tested by how they profess about who Jesus Christ is. From all accounts, TB Joshua proclaims Jesus Christ to have come in the flesh hence his motto “Emmanuel” which translates God with us. His messages and sermons lift Jesus as the Christ! And what more?

Signs and wonders are daily phenomena in his ministry, just the way it was as recorded in the book of Mark16:20: “then the disciples went and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by signs that accompanied it”.

TB Joshua’s humanitarian effort touches the needs of widows. The physically challenged and orphans have benefited in his educational support projects. Recently the federal President of Nigeria, Musa Yar’Adua, a Muslim himself awarded him with “Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic” in recognition of his humanitarian efforts. Anyone who is a true seeker of truth can know in the light of scriptures that for sure there is a prophet among us.

2011 Elections: TB Joshua Advises President Jonathan

Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, the founder and General Overseer of The Synagogue Church of All Nations, has also advised President Goodluck Jonathan not to make his intention about 2011 elections known yet.

He advised President Jonathan not to take any decisive action until the month of August, stating that the eighth month is a strategic month and by then he would know whether to contest or not.

President Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Officialy began work today in his New Office as President, Commander - in - Chief. Pix shows President Jonathan in his Office. in Abuja... Monday. 10-05-10

His words: “A status or state of whether to contest or not will be known. There will be confusion; a total confusion from August 2 to August ending.”

Joshua stated that the president’s assignment at the moment is to provide electricity. “For that, the president should forget any other thing or ambition;” praying that God should strengthen him to bring light to the nation.

The man of God lamented that those who are out to destroy are more than those seeking to build. “At the moment, those who are seeking to destroy the nation are more than those who are seeking to build the nation. But the silence of President Jonathan from now till August will solve the problem,” he further advised.

He, however, called on all Nigerians to pray for the country in the month of August.

TB Joshua Saw Train Derails In India

God continues to reveal Himself through His servants giving revelations of national and international importance. On Sunday 11th April 2010, during a Sunday live service at the SCOAN, Prophet T.B Joshua gave a prophetic message concerning a train that he saw being derailed in the nation of India. He said: “In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. As we were praying, I am seeing a train in the same place. I think something is wrong. This place – they need deliverance. A train – I am seeing it in India. A thousand people were inside. A train move out of rail and the whole people trapped. This is not even the modern one but the old one.”

That Sunday, towards the end of the service, Prophet T.B. Joshua called on the congregation and viewers worldwide reminding them to pray for the train in India which he had prophesied about earlier in the service. He said: “Open your lips. Remember to pray for this India train. It is very important. Love your neighbour as yourself. Fast and pray for the nation India. Take your time to do that. As you do that, the Lord will also do for you, in Jesus’ name.”

A month later, it happened. In the early hours of Friday 28th May, 2010, news broke out that a train packed with passengers derailed in India and slammed into a goods train in an apparent attack killing at least 15 people – a death toll which later rose to at least 81 as the rescue operation continued.

The train where the tragic incident occurred was in the exact country mentioned by Prophet TB Joshua in the prophecy – the country of India. News reported at least 81 people were killed with the death toll still rising and about 200 injured early on Friday when the Mumbai-bound passenger train derailed, after a part of the track was sabotaged, and was rammed by a goods train in a Maoist bastion of West Bengal. The passenger train was travelling from Calcutta to the Mumbai suburb of Kurla when 13 of its cars derailed. It was the third attack by Maoists on trains this year. Dead bodies were pulled out of the mangled wreckage where the two trains crashed in eastern India.

“In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. As we were praying, I am seeing a train in the same place. I think something is wrong. This place – they need deliverance. A train – I am seeing it in India. A thousand people were inside. A train move out of rail and the whole people trapped. This is not even the modern one but the old one.”

Home Minister P Chidambaram said the train derailment in West Midnapore appeared to be an act of sabotage but it was not yet clear whether explosives were used to blast the tracks.  “It appears to be a case of sabotage where a portion of the railway track was removed. Whether explosives were used is not yet clear,” he said in a statement. Indian officials gave different theories about the cause of the derailment.
Rescue workers with bolt cutters struggled to force their way into the most badly-damaged coaches to try and free anyone still alive inside. Paramedic teams treated the injured on the side of the track, while the most serious cases were taken away by air force helicopters.
Reports from the crash site described a scene of chaos with several passenger cars badly damaged and many dead and injured.
“A thousand people were inside. A train move out of rail and the whole people trapped.” Many passengers were trapped inside the mangled coaches. The passengers trapped in these coaches were crushed to death as the goods train engine rammed into it. Police, military and rescue services are currently still trying to free trapped passengers, whilst the death toll currently stands at 81 with over 200 more confirmed injuries. Helicopters have been brought in to help evacuate the injured to local hospitals, officials have stated. “It seems there are still a large number of passengers trapped in the carriages – dead or alive, we are not sure,” said Bhupinder Singh, the chief of police in West Bengal.
“There is a cut on the railway track and several compartments were derailed. At least four to five of them are badly damaged,” the state’s Home Secretary Samar Ghosh said, adding many passengers are still trapped inside the compartments.
Recall how the Prophet described the type of train that he had seen in the vision God had given him. “This is not even the modern one but the old one.”
The railway network is Asia’s oldest and the train involved in the incident was not the modern type of train but the old type just as the prophet had said.

“I think something is wrong. This place – they need deliverance. A train – I am seeing it in India.” The region in which the train crash occurred is considered somewhat of a stronghold for the Indian Maoist rebels, known as Naxalites, who have stepped up attacks in recent months. India’s 63,000-kilometer railway network, Asia’s oldest, is frequently hit by fatal accidents. As the Prophet said, something is wrong. This place they need deliverance.

Over two hundred injured passengers have been taken to local hospitals. The incident has been described as India’s worst rail disaster in seven years. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh expressed his grief over the death of Gyaneswari Express passengers and announced that compensation would be given to the families of the deceased and also for each of those who were seriously injured in the incident.

We at Emmanuel TV and the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations pray for the families who lost their loved ones in this tragic event. We also pray for the nation of India, the government and its citizens that God would manifest His strength in their situation and that out of the ashes of this tragedy, the Lord would bring a new resolve, determination, and desire to uphold the cause of justice, integrity and righteousness.

With the news of earthquakes, natural disasters and scientific phenomena’s dominating world news, it does seem to cross one’s mind that the earth and its climate are changing, and in times such as this that one considers the need for a prophet, a mouthpiece between God and His people. While people discuss, debate, argue and lament the frustrations and tragedy these disasters pose, careful observers would know that truly there is one such prophet.

T.B. Joshua..... I Say What I hear From God

One by one, the list of prophecies for the year, read out by Prophet TB Joshua, are coming to pass.
Since the beginning of this year, 2010, Prophet TB Joshua, of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations, Lagos, Nigeria has already accurately predicted the coup d’état and capture of Niger’s President, Joe Stack’s suicidal plane crash in Austin, Texas, the devastating earthquakes in Haiti and Chile, the huge Indian fire, the plane crash which killed Polish President, the earthquake in China and the sudden assassination of an Indian politician in a public meeting – not to mention the volcanic ash cloud that has caused an unprecedented closure of airspace.

On the list of prophecies that Prophet TB Joshua gave on Sunday 17th January, 2010, for the year, was the one concerning something that he had seen in the sky, causing negative effects. “I’m seeing in the sky something that will cause discussion amongst scientists and nations. But this thing will have negative effects.”

Two weeks later, on Sunday 31st January 2010, Prophet T.B. Joshua prophesied further about what he had seen in the sky calling it another natural disaster. “This other natural disaster – can we call it snow? And the thing will be falling like a whitish thing and it will stop the whole system. This will come from the hill. It’s a strange thing.”

A few months later, on Sunday 11th April 2010, TB Joshua specifically mentioned that on Thursday we should fast and pray for nations around the world, saying: “On Thursday, fast and pray for the nations, countries around the world. On Thursday. Take your time to do that. As you do that, the Lord would also do it for you in Jesus’ name. Amen.

On Thursday 15th April, 2010, the very day mentioned by Prophet TB Joshua, a massive cloud of volcanic ash following a volcanic eruption in Iceland drifted into European airspace, grounding all flights and leaving tens of thousands of passengers stranded across Europe affecting businesses worldwide.

It was on a Thursday the exact day of the week Prophet TB Joshua mentioned that we should pray and fast for nations around the world – Thursday 15th April 2010, that news hit world media that clouds of volcanic ash spewed into the air over the British Isles and Europe. A volcanic eruption which occurred in Iceland spewed black smoke and white steam into the air. The ash plume, which rose to between 20,000 feet and 36,000 feet lay above the Atlantic Ocean close to the flight paths for most routes from the U.S. east coast to Europe. The whole of British airspace was affected causing an unprecedented closure of airports and cancellation of flights. Reports state that the airline industry is losing an estimated $200 million a day and delays and cancellations are expected to last at least through the weekend.

The thing that Prophet TB Joshua saw in the sky in the vision God had shown him was a cloud of volcanic ash which truly caused negative effects in the whole of Europe and indeed worldwide. The volcanic ash cloud making much of northern Europe a no-fly zone has hurt the prices of airline stocks, paralyzed air cargo delivery and disrupted business and leisure travel. Aviation experts said it was the first time in living memory that an ash cloud had affected some of the most congested airspace in the world. According to a scientist in Iceland, the ejection of volcanic ash — and therefore disruptions in air travel — could continue for days or even weeks.

Heathrow The Busiest Airport In The Whole World… Now Standstill
A flight departure information screen shows cancellations at Luton Airport in Luton, England Thursday, April 15, 2010. Ash clouds from Iceland's spewing volcano halted air traffic across Europe on Thursday as authorities closed air spaces over Britain, Ireland and the Nordic countries. Tens of thousands of passengers were stranded in one of most disruptive events to hit air travel in years.

The volcano’s smoke cum ash poses a threat to aircraft because it can affect visibility, and microscopic debris can get sucked into airplane engines and cause them to shut down. Apart from the threat to aircraft and machinery, the United Nations health agency, World Health Organization, issued a warning of health risks related to the Icelandic volcano. A top professor of environmental health said the Icelandic volcano ash that has disrupted air travel poses a significant risk to people already suffering from respiratory ailments and can also lead to breathing problems.

The volcanic ash cloud which drifted into European airspace, on Thursday caused shutdowns and cancellations in many nations – countries around the world including: Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Russia and Spain. Air travel throughout Europe and around the world was still disrupted Saturday as thick clouds of ash from a volcano eruption in Iceland continued to drift across the continent. Officials expect air travel to be disrupted for several days.

The strange occurrence of the volcanic ash and the effects it caused fast became a topic for discussion among scientists. An investigative mission was carried out by scientists to analyze samples taken from the volcanic ash cloud sitting over Britain. A plane carrying the researchers flew right up to the cloud to test its contents. The data could reveal important information about the environmental impact of the eruption? The information gathered would enable experts to determine where the concentrations of abrasive particles and acidic gases might be dangerous.

The natural disaster was a strange thing just as the prophet had said – it was the first time that an ash cloud had affected some of the most congested airspace in the world. Observers in Scotland reported the smell of sulfur in the air with sightings of strange hazy ash clouds in the sky.

Something strange did indeed happen – and continues to happen as the cloud of volcanic ash shows no sign of abating. It is in times like this when the fragility of humanity and technology is clearly demonstrated that – we simply have to turn back to God and the Bible. As TB Joshua himself said a few weeks ago live on Emmanuel TV, “If I say ‘God says’ and it does not come to pass, this will serve to disapprove me, my commission, my mission”. But week by week, rather than his mission being disapproved, there is further evidence that God still speaks through His servants.

TB Joshua Speaks As Emmanuel Tv’S Cargo Plane Lands In Haiti

A story in Article Source concerning the Emmanuel TV Haiti Earthquake Relief team who are currently in Haiti with medical personnel and foodstuffs to assist the victims of the tragic earthquake and help in rebuilding the nation…

In the wake of the recent devastating earthquake which descended on the nation of Haiti, there has been outcry from the world for people and nations to reach out to the affected areas of the country with relief materials which could help alleviate the sufferings of the people of Haiti. A large number of organisations, governments and individuals alike have been quick to respond to this call by sending in their donations in cash to help the people of the nation of Haiti.

The humanitarian crisis that the people and nation of Haiti have to come to terms with has become clearer to the world with the commentaries of the media reporters on ground, who have reported that the efforts of more contributors are required; not only in cash but much more in their physical presence, so they can assist and support the efforts of the powerful nations of the world.

TB Joshua - Your rewards in life are determined by the problems you solve for someone else

Lending a voice to this group of people is Prophet TB Joshua, the General Overseer and founder of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations, Lagos Nigeria, and the founder of Emmanuel TV. Having sent a cargo plane with relief materials to the nation and people of Haiti, in a bid to assuage the distress of the people and nation of Haiti, Prophet TB Joshua has now come out to speak to the world to trail the same path.

Quoting from the Holy bible, in the book of Matthew 25 vs. 45, he explained that it was imperative that everybody sends in their own support to the people of Haiti at this time e of trial in the lives. He underlined the impact of the earthquake on the lives of the children of Haiti, saying they were the future of the nation of Haiti. He stressed the role of love in the life of a true Christian, by reading from the book of 1st Corinthians 13 vs. 13.

Sequel to his first statement, when he announced to the church congregation that the cargo plane that delivered the relief materials had successfully landed in Haiti. He also stated that the team of Emmanuel TV partners had started efforts to build a community clinic, which he noted had already taken delivery of the first baby, named Emmanuella at the Clinique Emmanuel.

Hear him: “I am TB Joshua, on behalf of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations family. I pray to God to richly bless you, in Jesus name, Amen. Thank you for being part of our broadcast today. You would be blessed as you receive the words of God. May the lord bless you abundantly as you help the Haiti people, In Jesus name. Thank you. As regards what is happening in Haiti, we cannot pretend not to see, we are one another’s strength.”

“We need to witness to a troubled world, remember Christ says, all our doings without love are nothing. A true Christian is known by his love. I will like to take you to the book of 1st Corinthians 13 vs. 13: And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. Ultimately, we are called to respond to all human needs for that is what love entails. This does not however mean that the demonstration of love for the needy alone is enough to bring us to salvation, but it forms the basis for judging our level of kindness. Our level of faithfulness because looking the other way when our neighbour is in trouble is equal to rejecting Christ himself. The people of Haiti are in need!”

“What can you give to them; give it for God’s sake. Love the children of Haiti for God’s sake and you will be loved. Give the people of Haiti for God’s sake and you will receive the mercy and favour of God. They are homeless, like sheep without a shepherd.”

Continuing, he said: “God has no hands but only our hands to reach them. Reach them; let his passion check our compassion. It is praise worthy not only when you give within your power but beyond your power. The people of Haiti need you at this time.”

“What can you do for the people of Haiti, do it for God’s sake. Looking the other way when your neighbour in Haiti is in trouble is tantamount to rejecting Christ himself. Whatever is in your hand now is a solution to the people of Haiti. I will like to take you to the book of Matthew 25 vs. 45: ‘Assuredly I say to you, whatever you do the least of your fellow brother that you do unto me.’ Now as a Christian whatever you do or fail to do to your fellow brother that you do unto God. Whatever you do to the people of Haiti that you do unto God. Help the people of Haiti, help the children of Haiti.”

Let us pray: “Lord Jesus, fill our lives with the fire of your love, help us to grow in love until it flows from our heart to others. You have taught us that all our doings without love are nothing. Grant us a loving heart, a will to give and share, to show we really care. Teach us lord to be ever kind, with saviour first in mind. In Jesus Christ name, amen.

“There are many charity organisations, reach them with your gift. Help the people of Haiti, Help the children of Haiti; they are the future of Haiti.”

He concluded by saying: “Prosperity comes when our aims and focus and desire is to build God’s kingdom, as you make a decision today to give for the gospel God will proper you today, In Jesus name. Send your seed and trust that we will deliver and God will bless you In Jesus name. I wish to stop here but I pray that the words of God will bless you in a special way, we meet again, bye!”

Synagogue opens field hospital in Haiti
•Plans to adopt 500 orphans
By Jossy Idam
Sunday, January 31, 2010

To give medical attention and succour to the wounded and children turned orphans by the devastating earthquake in Port-au-Prince, capital of Haiti, the Synagogue church last Sunday flew in a plane -load of medical and food supplies.

T.B. Joshua

In partnership with some foreign charity organizations, the church with headquarters at Ikotun, a suburb in Lagos earlier dispatched an advance team last Saturday to the Caribbean Island. As reported by the church’s satellite television, Emmanuel tv, the advance team and the plane, a chattered cargo plane took off from Miami, Florida, U.S.A.

The cargo plane with registration number N587 and Emmanuel TV boldly emblazoned on it in blue letters also had on board a team of doctors, nurses and sundry humanitarian workers.

Reporting live for Emmanuel TV, Gary Tange showed viewers the warehouse where the medical and food supplies were stock piled before being loaded aboard the cargo plane.
The owner of the plane who also pilots it, Tito Menedez was full of praise for Synagogue and the General Overseer of the church, pastor T.B. Joshua. As televised live last Sunday afternoon before the plane took off, Tito said: “I’m happy to be part of this private effort. Prophet T.B Joshua and Emmanuel TV are great.”

During the church service on Sunday afternoon, prophet Joshua explained why Synagogue is in Haiti, saying: “Haiti has given me sleepless nights. If it means selling my clothes, I’ll do it. We are going to take care of the wounded, the sick, the hungry. We will also adopt at least 500 orphans and take care of them there.”

Speaking to Sunday Sun on the corridor of the church immediately after the service, prophet Joshua further said, “I’m looking at a convenient time to join our team in Haiti. We and our partners want to help.”
He put the cost of the project at $3 million.

Revelations have emerged how T.B. Joshua warned the Golden Eaglets of the tough times awaiting them in the hands of the Germans over a week prior to their opening encounter…

Fresh from a training stint in Qatar’s ‘Aspire Academy’, Nigeria’s National U17 Team, The Golden Eaglets, first point of call upon arriving in Nigeria was The famous Synagogue, Church Of All Nations in Lagos, to meet with Prophet T.B. Joshua. Arriving on Friday 16th October 2009, the very night of Ghana’s historic World Cup victory over Brazil, the team came to seek the face of God in lieu of the FIFA Under 17 World Cup, which officially kicked off yesterday.

Known for his precise prophetic foresight, which has come to the limelight of late proceeding Joshua’s purported prophetic insight and instructions to Black Satellites coach, Sellas Tetteh, an official of the team has testified that the few words spoken by Joshua to the team saw fulfilment in their opening match with Germany, an exciting encounter which saw the Eaglets surmount a 3-0 deficit to draw 3-3. Speaking under the guise of anonymity, the official said, “T.B. Joshua had told us that the beginning would be very rough, further adding that if the team collectively ran to God, He would see them through,” words that clearly found reality in the tough opening encounter.

Germany raced to a 3-0 lead within 46 minutes of the match and looked set for a comfortable and humiliating victory, easily outclassing and outpacing the nervy Eaglets. However, the tables miraculously turned in a 7 minute stint of scoring mayhem with Stanley Okoro, Kenneth Omeruo and Edafe Egbedi all netting to recover the deficit and earn a draw for the hosts.

Reports also revealed that two of T.B. Joshua’s boys are members of the Eaglets side, having plied their trade in ‘My People FC’, Joshua’s football academy set up to assist talented young footballers coming from humble backgrounds.

“Is it Africa? Is it Africa? It is!” These were the words that came from the commentator’s mouth in the dying seconds of that historical game – it was a moment which will be forever etched in the hearts of all those that watched the match. Friday 16thOctober, 2009 was a special day for all Africans who tuned in to watch the live World Cup Match – Ghana’s Black Satellite’s versus Brazil. Ghana became the first African team to win the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Cairo, Egypt. It was indeed Africa! With celebrations underway in Ghana and other nations of Africa, a much publicised issue seemed to overtake and almost overshadow the African victory. Rather than news media focusing on the African victory, TB Joshua became the focus of their attention.

TB Joshua had apparently spoken to Coach Sellas Tetteh before and during the match and with his prophetic insight guided the Black Satellite’s to a World Cup victory through telephone conversations by specifying which player should take the penalty shoot-outs. Everything was recorded and played during the live service on Emmanuel TV with footage showing TB Joshua speaking with both Coach Tetteh and the Number 10 player whom he advised should play the first penalty. It was a surprise to many. Controversy was sparked.

Many Ghana media criticised TB Joshua of proclaiming he was the reason for the Black Satellite’s victory against Brazil. Angry insults were hurled at the Nigerian Prophet and things really got out of hand with many believing that this event had undermined men of God in Ghana and Ghanaians in general. Knowing that there are always two sides to a story, it was quite surprising to hear little from the accused himself – TB Joshua. Perhaps being a man of God, he chose not to retaliate. Having listened to TB Joshua talk concerning the event, I was humbled by his own account. “The coach called me in the morning of the battle in Egypt and said I should join them in prayers. I considered this as a great honour because there are many great men of God in Ghana that had also been standing in the gap for the team. And I was one of these called to join in prayer for the team. There are great men of God in Ghana. We are all prayer warriors…”

During his Sunday service broadcast live on Emmanuel TV, TB Joshua actually modestly stated that he was the least of the pastors and that he felt humbled that God would use him when there are greater men of God in Ghana. He further stated, “One thing you must know about ministers of God, we cannot change God’s opinion. We can only know God’s will concerning the situation and when we know God’s will concerning the situation, we tell you. When we tell you, it will help you to guard against mistake and error. We are servants; we are just being used”.

Does this sound like someone who is claiming glory for himself? TB Joshua recognises himself as a servant of God. A true man of God boasts not in what he does for God but boasts in what God does in his life and he never exalts himself above God. TB Joshua never for a moment exalted himself but sought and spoke the mind of God – nothing more. As he said, “The secret is that there is no way I will come out and say, we will win. But what I can do, as a man of God, is to seek the mind of God concerning any situation and interpret the mind of God correctly without removing or adding anything. That is the work of prophets – to deliver God’s message as you receive it,”

TB Joshua - We are who, where and what we are by grace. Let no man boast.
TB Joshua - We are who, where and what we are by grace. Let no man boast.

I was quite saddened by the discrimination this Nigerian pastor faced on the basis of his nationality, particularly as he himself believed, in this event, that as men of God, they were all united in one spirit and one body to pray for the nation Ghana and their players – the Black Satellite’s. Being a Ghanaian myself, I have to admit that I was ashamed at undeserved criticism and treatment he received. Why did it matter that God used a Nigerian pastor to guide a Ghanaian victory? Indeed I am sure that if God had used a man of God who happened to be Ghanaian to successfully guide a Nigerian World Cup victory, we would not complain. This would have been a perfect occasion to prove our African unity amongst other nations of the world.

I humbly address my people, Ghanaians – let us stop criticizing one another out of jealousy, ignorance or misunderstandings. I believe that if we embrace pastors, men of God and prophets from other nations in humility, that God will exalt us as a nation to accomplish great feats which extend way beyond football!

Words of wisdom by Prophet TB Joshua

tbj-21“Knowing facts about God does not change your relationship with Him. Therefore, take the time to read your Bible with devotion because there you meet Him face to face. The Bible is given to us in the first place, simply to invite us to make ourselves at home in the world of God and become familiar with the way He speaks and the way in which we answer Him with our lives” TBJ

“Those who are rich in every sense of the word understand that life is a learning

Experience” – TBJ

“What causes sadness and anguish to the man without vision is a source of joy to the man of vision.” TBJ

“There is something far more important than your present situation – your dream and your goal.” – TB Joshua

“Today, be encouraged to stay focused on God. As Christians, our focus should be only on what God has to say, not on what our natural circumstances have to say” TBJ

“You can be bold as a Christian through knowing that you are a faith man, a faith woman! Be bold to speak God’s language. “The Father loves me as much as He does any of His children. I am just as dear to the Father as any evangelist, pastor, missionary or teacher” TBJ

“Jesus is all the world to me my life, my joy, my all. He is my strength from day to day Without Him, I would fall.” – TB Joshua

“As a Christian, whatever situation you are passing through now is for a purpose. It may be to stop you awhile in order to preserve you for redemption, in order to keep you for a new level in life, to prepare you for the challenges ahead, to reform you for a better position in God. So take heart, in every situation, God has something to say. Even when He seems to be quiet, He is still saying something!” TBJ

“Looking the other way when your brother is in trouble is equal to rejecting Christ Himself.” TB Joshua

Life is too short to waste our time on things that have no lasting significance or value. It is not how long you live that counts, but how well. Your death is coming some day and you have never been told when that day will be. Have you been told? See every minute as important. Make the most of every opportunity that comes your way. – TB Joshua

As Jesus taught us in the book of Matthew 6:33, we should seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, then all those things shall be added to us. This means, that success, blessing, breakthrough comes when your aim, focus and desire is to build God’s kingdom. But you should always remember that faith is not a magic button that you press and receive all these things immediately. When you pray, your prayer must be followed by an attitude of absolute faith that God is working out the answer. So, whatever your present situation – don’t concentrate on it. learn to focus on serving God wholeheartedly, doing your best and leaving the rest to Him. So, when it is God’s appointed time for that breakthrough – nothing can stop it!

An explosive interview with Pastor TB Joshua of The Synagogue Church Of All Nations by Lagos Weekend, published by the historic Daily Times of Nigeria Plc…

You’ve come under severe criticism recently and in the past years from other pastors and your former aides, but you never replied them. Why?
It is only when you don’t know where you are going you will reply them. When you don’t know where you are going, anything can overwhelm you, anything can provoke you. Look at what happened to Joseph in the dry pit; because he knew he was going to the throne, he was not overwhelmed. When he was on the floor, instead of looking at the floor – you know the prison floor is not smooth – the Bible said he opened the window and looked at the beautiful sky and he said to himself, “I know where I belong!” So when you know where you belong, nothing can overwhelm you, provoke you or discourage you. Therefore, if you know that there is a higher hand leading you and you know the protection you are under, you don’t fight for God, rather God fights for us. There are two ministers of God, those who fight for God and those whom God fights for. For me, God fights for me. You don’t fight for God, so when you are doing the work of God and people are fighting you, they are fighting God. Apart from healing, prophecy and Synagogue, if I withdraw now, nobody will talk about me. Definitely, it’s God in me they are fighting. So when somebody says you are this and that, it’s just a matter of time. Those persecutions, hatred and intimidation – you will realise that God uses them to prepare us and strengthen our desire for Him. When you are being persecuted, it’s time to praise the Lord. Time of intimidation is time to draw closer to Him. Therefore, it’s a tonic for our anointing. The persecution we suffer in the hands of our detractors causes us to be known.

Some Pastors claim that you are evil. Is TB Joshua evil?
You know what happened to Peter and our Lord Jesus Christ. You know how close Peter was to Him and the question He asked in that Matthew 16 – “Who do people say I am?” Peter’s first answer was improper and Jesus said you are a tempter; you are a snare, get out of my sight. You should ever think of the things of God, not things of the world. You can imagine somebody who is close to Jesus and the Lord asked him, who do people say I am – and he could not see Jesus from God’s point of view but from a human point of view. Perfection eludes everyone. Because you bear pastor… what informs that word pastor? The issue of pastor is all about the anointing of God. So because somebody said I am a pastor, that does not mean his vision cannot be blurred – and when his vision is blurred, you will not see clearly the things of God. There are pastors that actually receive the message of God by mental assent. The actual message of God comes from the heart. It renews our strength. The one that comes from our heard you memorise the message, just like you go to school. What you have studied is in your heard and the moment you are not practicing what you studied in another two to three years, you have to rehearse it again, but the Words of God are always in our heart.

For Nigeria to develop, they should exchange oil for technology

For Nigeria to develop, they should exchange oil for technology

Lagos State Government is talking about wealth of churches and they want to tax churches. Do you support this move?
The wealth of the church is the strength of the church, and the strength of the church is the Holy Spirit – so what are you talking about? How would you now tax the Holy Spirit? When you are out there looking at the church, it’s a place of refuge for everybody when there are economic crises. People are jobless; when you are given a sack letter, the next place you think of is the church, when you are sick, you run to the church. Somebody who receives a sack letter from his office, is the Pastor still expecting money from such person? A pastor that does that is receiving a curse. I will advise the government not to share a cruse from any minister of God that is collecting money from people they are supposed to give money to. Government should not join them in sharing the curse. People are being sacked and that’s what’s happening in the country today. If you are sacked, the Pastor is supposed to restore hope and strength to you, give you money to invest, go to their store and give you at least a bag of rice that will sustain you until you get another job. These people are a burden to the church – but when you are looking at the church from a distance, you will think they are bringing money… So, if any Pastors sees it as a means of extorting money from the under-privileged people, that Pastor is receiving a curse. There is no need to tax churches because they are not making money, and if anybody starts making money at the expense of other people, the person is getting a curse – and I don’t want government to share in that curse.

You have other arms of the church like charity, deliverance, reconciliation, prophecy, healing and others. What has it been like over the years handling all these responsibilities?
This is the problem the country has brought to us; that is what we are talking about. Here we have a foundation for the youths, a football club. There are about 4000 of them that come from across the country, and we have a bus for them. We are also involved with the destitute in Oko-Baba, you saw the buses given to them and how they are being taken care of and we are giving them scholarships. We have people in Leeds University in London, which is one of the best universities in the world. There are also the widows, the physically challenged – and we have a warehouse where we keep the rice which we give to these people. Each trailer is N5million and we have about four trailers. There are also the aged people – we look for them and take care of them, even the ones that are sick. Of course, you know that to run a football club costs a lot of money. Even the PHCN where they train, we paid heavily to secure it. These are some of the challenges we are facing. So when you now talk about the issue of tax, does it means that we will withdraw all these and use it to pay tax? We are dong more than paying tax. I don’t operate any bank account, not to talk of keeping money here. These people are my bank account. I believe so much in this so that in the nearest future, people can stand and say, ‘I am now this through the grace of God in the life of TB Joshua’.

Is that the basis for grooming these young ones around you from abroad?
I will not answer that now, let me finish the issue of leadership. Let’s move forward. One of the key issues why we are having problems, especially in Africa, is that there is no way Africa can develop without taking this pattern I am going to talk about now. In developed countries, they exchange their mineral resources with another one – but in our case, we exchange our mineral resources with money. Look at our oil; the Western countries come to take our oil and give us pounds and dollars. For Nigeria to develop, they should exchange oil for technology. Go to Russia, whatever mineral resources they have there, they exchange with American technology and whatever America needs from them, they exchange it with technology; the same thing happens in other developed countries all over the world – but our own is money. The gift of God to us, our inheritance, to develop people’s skills, we keep exchanging for dollars and pounds. And when we collect the money, we will not keep it in our banks here. We will still carry it back to the banks of the people that gave us the money, and they will say they are keeping it for us. They will say they are keeping it in foreign reserve, and that actually has kept us in the level we are today. So tell me how we can develop? From the beginning of this Niger-Delta crisis, if these boys had seen that their oil is being exchanged for technology instead of money, I tell you, there will be employment, light, improved telephone service, and good quality education – do you think they will fight? Look at our universities today. People go overseas to study. Well, it’s not too late because we have mineral resources and they should exchange it for technologies and other things we don’t have, not money. Don’t give us fish; teach us how to fish.

Prophet TB Joshua - when you know where you belong, nothing can overwhelm you, provoke you or discourage you.

Prophet TB Joshua – when you know where you belong, nothing can overwhelm you, provoke you or discourage you.

With healing happening on a daily basis, on the average, how many people get healed here?
Since the healing is from God, do you need to test or examine and mark God’s work? The credit is for God. No matter how many people that are healed, you cannot mark God; it’s man we can mark. After we must have done everything humanly possible, we still need to leave it for God. For just coming here today, you have received healing.

From a spiritual angle, how do you think the world wide economic meltdown will have impact on Nigeria?
I think what is happening concerning the economy is a normal thing, because where the voices are not one, you expect things like this to happen. God is only very merciful – by now, we are supposed to be crying. Nigeria is not counted out of this. You are in this country; you know what is happening and you know the mismanagement. If you mismanage your product you’ll get a shortage – that’s exactly what is happening.

But you said in one of your prophecies that we are yet to see anything concerning this economic meltdown?
Yes, have you seen anything? What have you seen? You are only seeing the flame. When you see fire, you see flame – but we are yet to see the fire. There is no solution, there is nothing we can do – it’s a matter of time. But we will pass through it with a lesson. God wants to use it to strengthen our desire for Him.

Has any of the world leaders called to ask you for a way out of this economic crises?
You want me to begin to mention the names of Presidents in your Newspaper (General Laughter)! My friend, when you talk like this, I know where you are going. I want to tell you that it is part of the gift; the anointing God has given to me. The way and manner God executes His plan in our lives differs. Some He sent them to the village to minister, some to the community and some among his own race, some to another race and colour, while some anointing touches Kings and Queens, Presidents. Therefore, by our fruits you know the kind of anointing we bear. We are anointing carriers, but when you look at us you know the kind of anointing we carry. So it’s not for us to begin to tell you – ‘this is what I am doing’.

When is Nigeria going to have a leader that will take us to the Promised Land? There is poverty in the country…
Well, what do you mean by Promised Land? Until what they inherited from their past predecessors is no longer burdensome. Like the issue of administration, the person in power is still battling with what he inherited, he has not started a new thing. Some may continue battling with theirs throughout their tenure. I hope you understand what I am saying. It’s like somebody’s father dying and there is a huge debt to settle. You realise that either you denounce that father or carry the responsibility. You begin to pay the debt for his house and other things – and that may take your time and career.

I think the problem is that we have many leaders, but we fail to take time to develop people’s skills – they have no disciples. No one can go it alone, even Jesus Christ knew this and that was why He had disciples. But we have leaders without disciples in every area. Not in the political circle alone, but churches too. Take your mind back to some late great men of God in Nigeria, how many of them had disciples? Look at the political circle; take your mind back to the olden days – how many of them had disciples? It takes time to develop people’s skills, but how many people will do that? You will be persecuted and hated even among the people you are developing. Many of them will be Judas and in the process of developing them, they will go out and say all sorts of things against you, they want to bring you down- but at the end of the day, you still see one or two of them that are good. Of course, you know what happened to Jesus because He was developing skills, making disciples. People are afraid to develop skills, because in the process of developing people’s skills, you look at the repercussion. When you weigh the disadvantages and advantages, one would be afraid to go into it – but the future is great because you will live forever if you take time to develop people’s skills and make disciples out of them.

The possibilities of a bright future await Nigeria - if only leaders take the time to develop people's skills

The possibilities of a bright future await Nigeria – if only leaders take the time to develop people’s skills

This is what the Bible said. It says – God ye into the world and make disciples. Look at everywhere – even in your journalism circle. You know of great journalists, editors, publishers – but where are their disciples today? Those disciples either turned around to become senators, governors or others things, or they just abandoned their profession. Even if you become a senator tomorrow, that does not mean you should abandon your profession. It is your profession; you should establish it, employ people to manage it while you supervise. Look at farmers. Go to the village you hardly see anybody in the village today, all of them are coming to the city. We have leaders without disciples – and no one can go it alone. We need good people, inspired people and informed people to achieve our dreams and objectives – and Jesus knew this.

Presidents have visited you from other countries and you’ve visited them also. Here in Nigeria we’ve not had a situation where any Nigerian President has visited. Is it a situation of a prophet not being recognised in his homeland?
A point of correction – to be conferred with the OFR is a recognition. I’ve never had any honour like that. That is appreciation, but the manner of approach differs. So I think it’s still normal. Everything big starts little. If something big starts big, it calls for concern.

You appear too simple. Why?
It’s because I am in the midst of people. If you go out there, you will pity the people. People are there at the bus stops waiting for vehicles and they can stand there for hours. Sometimes I ask myself where these people work. What kind of job will you go to at anytime you feel – that means a lot of them keep changing jobs. So how can their lives be stable – and success demands a stable character. When your character and attitude is not stable, you are far from success. You say ‘it’s good’ today, tomorrow you say ‘it’s not good’, you are far from success. God’s Word is constant; He is still the same yesterday, today and forever. What you need to do is to seek the things from above so that you may be comforted in the face of whatever situation you are in. Just like I said earlier – Jesus has risen. Therefore, let your mind rise and seek the things that are above so that we may be comforted in the face of our situation. You say people are suffering? Jesus has risen – tell your people to seek the things that are above so that they may be comforted in the face of their situation.

How would you want to be remembered?
The Apostles paid the supreme price to bring the Gospel. Some were stoned, some were crucified upside down – so if you must be one of the disciples of Jesus, you must be ready to follow Jesus, bearing His cross, bearing His reproach. You must know the fellowship of His suffering.
