Eleven Children, One Wife, No Home Living Amidst Refuse And Rubbish For Over Three Years – TB Joshua

A stirring tale of glorious hope shining amidst the dark chasms of despair, of seperation and shame transfromed to unity and peace, of loneliness and homelessness replaced with life and love. Because God was involved…

Beyond the burdening, burgeoning bondage of homelessness, Mr Kefa Olatunji Taiwo had strayed slowly into the hazardous realms of hopelessness. At 60 years old, his family had scattered, any shred of dignity or self-worth left battered – his life in total tatters. Living in a bedraggled and dishevelled excuse for a shed, scantily assorted from stray aluminium and rotting wood, he had dwelt and dealt in the refuse grounds of Lagos, Nigeria for over three agonising years, surrounded by the repulsive stench of decay and debris, and the degrading stigma of a lunatic-like existence. Suicidal tendencies crept increasingly closer…

Living amidst the rubbish...

Living amidst the rubbish…

He suddenly halted before him, sensing something strange.“You are the one I am chasing.” Kefa looked up, astounded, dumbfounded. “Where is your family? Everybody is scattered in your home – and you are sleeping under the bridge, as an elderly man.” Extraodinary. His life-story unfurling uncannily from a man he had never encountered, a man he had never explained his predicament to. “You are getting old, an old man sleeping outside – and the family are scattered. Do you know where your problem comes from? This is what your mummy was telling you. The little money you had, you were going out – sometimes in the night you will not come home. You would take girlfriends. The little you had – you spent it just like that. This has destroyed you, destroyed your career.” How did he know? Whom had he told? “Something happened to you before this thing started. You met a mad woman – you never knew she’s a mad woman, and you slept with the woman. This is where the problem comes from. Today, when you sleep you see animals.” “Exactly, sir”

When Mr Taiwo walked dejectedly into The Synagogue, Church of All Nations in Lagos, Nigeria on Sunday 30th August, unbeknown to him was the unfolding of a divine design to break the chains of poverty and restore the bonds of unity within his crises-fraught family. The prophecy took him by surprise. It was so sudden, so direct, so precise. Pastor TB Joshua narrated his life to him, a brief 30 seconds of breath-taking revelation, a concise uncovering. As he was led through the beautiful sanctuary, a flame of hope licked within his veins. Could it be a way out had actually come?

Just imagine, just consider... what do you have to give?

Just imagine, just consider… what do you have to give?

The following week he stood again before the vast SCOAN auditorium, clips of his ‘home’ broadcast to the world live on Emmanuel TV. Evangelists had accompanied Taiwo to establish the veracity of the prophecy. The crowd gasped, beholding a dank wasteland with pigs scavenging among the filth, dirty infected water up to the knees, slime and grime at every turn. And a human being lived there, slept there, ate there, amidst the clutter and litter of decomposing garbage and gunk. “I’m useless,” the former furniture maker told the evangelists. “I just have to go and hide myself here when it is night. This is a shameful place, but I have no alternative – that’s why I have to stay here, living here as a mad man,” he said, explaining how local hoodlums had burnt his only property to ashes, forcing homelessness upon him.

Accompanied by his estranged wife and 11 children, all suffering a similar fate, Mr Taiwo watched on in reflective silence. “I believe if this man is helped, he will not go back to his past life – because he has tasted suffering and hardship,” said TB Joshua, addressing the whole congregation. “And I know if blessing comes now, he will be able to maintain it. Sometimes God uses foolish things. Don’t be surprised that among these children may be the president of tomorrow. Remember the past history, remember the heroes – many of them were raised from this kind of humble background,” he explained. “The first step is to get accommodation for the family, so we can bring the family together and let them live as one. To liberate these children, we must give them scholarships. And those who want to learn a skill – we will give them that opportunity.” The pastor, famed for his unrivalled and unbridled philanthropic works, explained that if the youths were left to themselves, they would probably end up in armed robbery or prostitution out of frustrations irrationalising influence. “Give them N300,000 and five bags of rice.”

Tears of shock and joy escaped from beneficiaries and congregants alike. Never before had Kefa seen or touched such money. “I didn’t expect this. Thank you, sir,” he quibbled, words failing to form his heart-felt expressions of gratitude. “This is what we are born for, this is what we are to live for, this is what we are to die for,” smiled the prophet, ascribing all glory to God.

“Someone out there is waiting for you for a lifetime,” Joshua counselled the enthralled audience and viewers worldwide. “You cannot afford to fail them; failing them is failing God. Remember, God is speaking to you through them, saying: ‘They are fatherless, so that you can be their father.’ ‘They are lonely, so that you can be their companion.’ ‘They are in want, so that you can be their benefactor.’ ”

Repost – The Saboteurs That infiltrated TB Joshua’s Church in Ghana Exposed

TB Joshua Church Nigeria | tbjfansuk.wordpress.com

With the way some online news sites, blogs, as well as, some anti- Scoan groups are now using the internet as a tool of propaganda in an attempt to ridicule the ministry of TB Joshua after the incident on the 19th May, 2013 beggars belief. I witnessed the whole incident myself

It was when thousands of people started trooping into the SCOAN HQ from all walks of life for the anointing water that the incident happened. Many had to borrow money, many were too weak to travel yet they did, many were robbed on their way. You’ll agree with me many Pastors bless oil, handkerchiefs and candle and all sorts of things for people, so what is wrong with TB Joshua blessing anointing water for his Church members

The anointing water sent by TB Joshua to the branch in Ghana was for his Church members and was NOT to be distributed to the public as stated by the Ghanaian media. Many stated that the stampede happened during the distribution of the Anointing Water, but truth is it was NEVER distributed.

Throughout the Scriptures, we see clear proof that God can use any medium to express Himself:

  • In Acts 19:11-12, God used the medium of Paul’s handkerchief and aprons to heal the sick.
  • In Exodus 14:16, God used the medium of Moses’ staff to split the Red Sea.
  • In Acts 3:6, God used the voice of His servants, Peter and John to raise a crippled man.
  • In 2 Kings 5:14, God used the medium of a dirty river to heal Namaan.
  • In Acts 2:1-2, God expressed Himself through the medium of sound at the time of Pentecost
  • In 1 Samuel 17:49, God used David’s catapult to defeat the giant Goliath.
  • In John 9:6-7, Jesus used mud and saliva to heal a blind man.
  • In Acts 4:15-16, God used the medium of Peter’s shadow to heal the sick.

TB Joshua did not announce that he was holding any program in Ghana or advertised anywhere as stated by many media reports. One of such online newssite wrote ” A scheduled Sunday church service at the Spintex branch of the Synagogue Church of all Nations has been cancelled due to a stampede which left three men and one woman dead at the church premises on SundayIt was suppose to be a normal Sunday Service at the SCOAN as usual.

THE CAUSE OF THE SPAMPEDE

Those who could not get into the church premises over thousand yards away pushed a number of barricades and over 500 police personnel on duty away, resulting in the stampede which claimed the lives of the four people; three men and a female. It was NOT on the SCOAN premises that the incident occurred, though we sympathise with the family of the decease.

A reporter wrote: “According to Mr Yohuno, at about 6:30 a.m., the crowd overwhelmed the police personnel on duty and started pushing the barricades away and by the time a police and military reinforcement reached the church premises, there had been a stampede, resulting in the deaths” THE POLICE WERE ALREADY THERE! The correct information was the crowed started building up at about 9:30pm the Saturday before, when 2 Wise men was seen arriving at Kotoka International Airport at about 9pm among 4 others. Rumours spread so fast that about 1am when l went to the Church premises, behold the crowed l saw, 2 stadiums can’t contain them and yes more kept coming. I was opportune to have a chat with a man am convinced was sent there to cause trouble. He’s a middle aged man whom l discovered was NOT a member of the SCOAN Ghana branch. The ushers tried all they could to speak with the crowd calmly and to get them seated under the canopies provided since it had started to rain. This middle aged man with glasses and 3 others were instigating all persons around them NOT to listen to the ushers talking about NPP/NDC and how this would be a breaking news on Joy FM and also talking about Owusu Bempah. This made me wonder what kind of person could they be, a saboteurs perhaps?

Former Administrator of The Ghana Pentecostal Council John Nana Antoh Speaks on TB Joshua

Culled from 2nd edition of Faith Cometh, Former administrator of the Ghana Pentecostal council, John Nana Antoh testifies of the mighty works the lord is using TB Joshua to do in our present dispensation.

Senior Pastor, Bible School founder and a former administrator of the Ghana Pentecostal Council, Rev. John Nana Antoh, shares with Faith Cometh how his spiritual life took a dramatic turn as a direct result of his encounter with someone who didn’t just preach the Bible, but made it work.

FC: Can you introduce yourself to us?

Rev. Antoh: My name is Reverend John Nana Antoh, am a professor of theology and director of a school called the Religious Academy in Ghana. I am also the senior pastor of a church called Berea Christian Center.

FC: When did you first come to know about the SCOAN?

Rev. Antoh: In 1997, I was the administrator of the Ghana Pentecostal Council. At that time, the man of God wanted to come to Ghana for a crusade and the Ghana Pentecostal Council were asked to host him. As of then, nobody knew him in Ghana. I had been a pastor for several years but I never heard the name T.B. Joshua. When he said he wanted to come to Ghana some Nigerian churches sent their pastors to Ghana to ask our council not to accept him because they said he was an occultist. So, at the beginning, we were very lackadaisical in accepting him.

Former Administrator of The Ghana Pentecostal Council John Nana Antoh

Also a few Nigerian ministers had come to swindle the council before; so we had a very negative impression about Nigerian ministers. Now his own countrymen were coming to tell us: “Don’t accept that man; he is an occultist”. The man of God sent another group to us, saying that he was ready to pay for four pastors from the council to come to the SCOAN, stay for any number of days to see for themselves. So, some senior pastors were chosen and stayed there for five days. When they came back to Ghana, they said: “Listen, this is from God; let us accept the man!” Some of us were arguing: “How can you use only four days to examine the man?” The council came together and had a vote and those who voted for the man of God to come to Ghana won. So, the man of God came to Ghana.

At that time, I served as an interpreter. I didn’t normally serve as an interpreter, but I was so curious, I wanted to get near to the man, as close as possible, so I could examine him. So I offered to be the interpreter. On the first night of the crusade, it was so wonderful! Of the number of Nigerian ministers I have known, they were very boisterous, rough and tough, but here was a man who was so gentle like a lamb. He came so gently, preached a very simple message and then said it was time for healing. He got down from the platform. I was even telling him, “if you go down from the platform the people are going to trample on you! Why don’t you stay on the platform to minister?’’ But he said, “No let’s go down,” I had never seen healing like that! Other ministers stand on top of the platform and pray, and if you get your healing by faith, you get it. But this one, he would go to the blind person direct.

Thousands came for healing and they wrote on the placards the kind of sicknesses they had. The first one he went to was an ex-service man, Brigadier Alijah Freeman – I remember very vividly; he had been blind for 12 years. I was watching very closely because I had ulterior motives; I wanted to be sure that he was not going to use any magic. He just took the placard and rubbed it on the guy’s face. The old man started shouting, “I can see like a baby! I can see like a baby!” The second person he went to was a cripple, just his leg. He said to him: “Come on – stand up!” and then the cripple jumped! I was so shocked; is it magic or is it a dream? He went to a third person. This was a woman who was brought from London. She was having a problem with her kidney and was paralysed. They had declared her hopeless, so they had sent her to come and die in Ghana. They didn’t even bring her out of the car; they had to drive her into the field. So I was following the man of God, and he just opened the door of the car; prayed for the woman and said, “Come out!”And the woman jumped out! I was so shocked!

What really surprised me was the healing of the very well known man in Ghana called ‘Big Boss’. He has a very famous restaurant called ‘Big Boss’. The man is a giant, about 6ft tall and very broad. At that time, ‘Big Boss’ had a serious problem with his kidney; he couldn’t even urinate. Hearing that the man of God was coming, his relatives brought him from the hospital, where he was awaiting an operation. On the field Prophet T.B. Joshua went to where he was, took his placard and prayed a short prayer: I then saw something I had never seen before – there were so many people in the stadium, but this man didn’t even feel shy. He removed the whole of his manhood and started urinating. He urinated for about 30 minutes! When he finished, he breathed and sad “Now, l am healed” So, l said “Big Boss how do you know you are healed? It’s not like cripple you can see walking: your sickness is internal. How do you know you are healed?” He said: “my brother, l tell you am healed! The way l was feeling before coming here. I don’t feel it. I couldn’t urinate for several weeks, but now l can urinate”. I told him: Go to the hospital to do a check up and see if you are really healed” He went and to the hospital and the doctor was shocked! He was totally healed. The following day ‘Big Boss’ came to the crusade field to give his testimony!

What actually surprised and made me to love TB Joshua was that Christ was the centre of everything he did. He would do all these wonderful miracles but after that he will say “l am not the healer. I only know the healer His name is Jesus Christ!” I said to myself, “My God if this man is not of God, who can he be? He is doing miracles and not taking the glory but giving it to Jesus’. The following day, after seeing the miracles, l went home and wept because l felt l had been too proud – so proud to criticize a man of God l have never seen before. That night, l wept bitterly. The following day l went to him – he knew what l was doing but he had a lot of patience with me. I greeted him and then had a short conversation with him. After that he shook my hands and told me “From today, we are friends!” Since then l have been calling him a friend that is closer than a brother. That has been our relationship since 1997.

FC: Do you have a personal testimony to share to strengthen our reader’s faith?

Rev: Antoh: During those days, l was very strong man, doing a lot of work as administrator of the Ghana Pentecostal Council. But one fateful morning in 2004, at around 2am, I wanted to go and urinate. Ass l was walking there, l suddenly collapsed; l didn’t know what happened. When l came around, l discovered that l had been attacked with stroke. It was a very terrible thing – my entire right side was paralysed. The moment l woke up, before even going to the hospital; l was rushed to the SCOAN because everybody knows l know TB Joshua. It was really a matter of death when l was brought here. The man of God ‘went to heaven for me’. I stayed here for 10 days. The man of God prayed for me and took care me and within 10 days l could begin to walk. He said: “Now if you don’t go home, your wife may think something bad has happened to you. So for the sake of your wife, go home nothing will happen to me”. I was afraid but he encouraged me. When l went home, l said: “I wanted to know exactly what happened to me” So l went to the hospital for a check-up and they did a CT scan. When the specialist looked at me, he was amazed. He said: “How can you be alive?” The whole of your brain is full of blood. The man thought l could not hear him, so he was speaking with the Pastor who brought me: How can he be alive? It is only a miracle that can keep this Pastor alive”. They took me home and l said: “Don’t take me to any hospital again” and l decided not to take any medicine. The doctor later assure me: “The way l, have seen Christ uploading you, l believe you will not die but medically impossible”. Later on another medical officer, upon seeing what l had been through, told me that it was the same thing Ariel Sharon, former Prime Minister of Israel through. And for years now still lying coma. It was at that time l realized what the man of God had done for me. I am forever grateful.

Life-Size Art Model of Ariel Sharon In A Coma

FC: so, the impact Prophet TB Joshua in your life is truly changing!

Rev. Antoh: Everything about TB Joshua is a model for me though l studied theology for several years, took several postgraduate degrees in theology, came as a professor of theology, set up a Bible school , until l came to TB Joshua all have been teaching was theory. I came to the Synagogue and saw the Bible demonstrated. The things you read in the Bible – you see them here! That’s why am so surprised that there are people who can have the audacity to talk against the man of God. They can do that because they don’t know. I am sure anybody who is criticizing TB Joshua has never met him personally.

FC: So, in summary what are the lessons you have learnt from the man of God

Rev. Antoh: One thing l have learnt is how to make the centrality of Christ the most fundamental in a person’s life. When l see TB Joshua, l see Christ in him Christ in undeniably the centre of his life. So the greatest thing l have learnt from him is to make Christ the center of my life.

T.B Joshua Has Multiplied Big Time… The Five Wise men

On Sunday the 13th of June 2010, The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations reverberated with the sound of heavenly music as the hundreds upon hundreds of visitors from around the world who had come to celebrate the birthday of Prophet T.B. Joshua the day before, joined The SCOAN congregants to resist the devil and praise Jesus with all their soul.

Prophet TB Joshua

Welcoming the congregation and viewers worldwide to the service, T.B. Joshua declared, “Jesus purchased your healing, your deliverance and your salvation at the price of great suffering.”

I KNOW YOU ALL THE TIME

One of the Wise Men

The Word of God imparted by one of the wise men, was all about our attitude towards God. Greeting the Church, he said, “My name is Harry, I’m from Greece. By our fruits, you shall know us.” Reading from the book of Job 2:7-10, Harry explained that apart from our Lord Jesus Christ, there is no man or woman of faith that has been tempted as severely as Job, a man who feared God and shunned evil. He said that from the case of Job, we learn that trouble does not require any invitation before it comes. The question is: how do we handle it? If we handle our bad times with care, they will soon turn to hard times. Job saw his hard time as a reason for believing God just as he saw his good times as a reason for believing God as well. Job was telling God, whether you save me or not, I will continue to serve You because You are my Saviour. Harry went on to say, that to the carnally minded, this seemed unrealistic but Job’s heart was deeply engaged with God. Harry then asked those listening, as Christians, how many of us would say, “Thank You, Lord for healing me whereas we are still sick, thank You Lord for blessing me whereas the signs of poverty are still there?”

He went on to say that many people today base their spiritual experiences on feelings and emotions – and problems arise when feelings and emotions change. Like Elisha’s servant in 2 Kings 6:15-16, many of us begin to panic and run helter skelter because of what we see. Harry explained that every day, we are exposed to things that are not consistent with the Word of God. When these things control your feelings, and your feelings control your faith, you can be a Christian and yet controlled by satanic devices. For us to be able to say to God, “I know You all the time” Harry said that our faith must be based on something with more stability than our feelings. Picking up his Bible from the altar and holding it up, Harry declared that he didn’t know anything more stable than the Word of God. You may feel great today, tired tomorrow or lonely next week but God’s Word is going to say the same yesterday, today and for ever.

BY THEIR FRUITS, YOU SHALL KNOW THEM

For hundreds of sick and afflicted people who were arranged for prayer at The SCOAN,

Sgt. Okponu Alexander and his family, the way out had come!

Sunday was the day they had been waiting for, when they received a touch from Heaven, and the pillars of their problems crumbled. Among those who had a divine appointment with the Healer, Jesus Christ was Sgt. Okponu Alexander, a 41 year old police officer from Delta who was unable to walk due to posterior disc prolapse and compression of the disc and had been booked for an operation. He was brought to the church in a car, his placard bearing the words, “I CANNOT WALK.” As his wife cried out, pleading for the mercy of God to end her husband’s suffering, one of the wise men, directed by the Spirit of God walked up to the vehicle and began to pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Cries were heard as Sgt. Okponu Alexander placed his legs on the ground, supported and guided by the wise man, rose to his feet and took his first steps of freedom. The crowd shouted and cheered as even those awaiting prayer forgot their own problems and rejoiced in the miraculous healing! A medical doctor, visiting from Mexico, was visibly moved by the miracle and commented that he had actually seen the disc in the man’s back shift into place. For Sgt. Okponu Alexander and his family, the way out had come!

As the wise man laid his hands on her eyes and prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, her sight was restored and her joy complete. We certainly saw healing, deliverance and words of prophecy in the power of the name of Jesus as the wise men prayed at the prayer line. By their fruits, you shall know them.

THERE IS NOTHING GOD CANNOT DO

One of the wise men stretched his hand and prayed for her, in the words, “Give her strength in Jesus’ name!” At the word, “Out”, the baby was instantly delivered. In the car, outside The SCOAN, Mrs Onwusalu had given birth to her baby instantly and safely. Mr and Mrs Aderline Onwusalu, now joyful parents, came to the Sunday service to testify with their new baby. Speaking of the amazing miracle, Mrs Onwusala said that the doctor had already drawn the marks on her stomach ready for the operation and had warned her that if she left the hospital, the baby in her womb would die. According to the doctor, the baby weighed 4.8 kg and had already stopped breathing. The ecstatic mother did not have enough words to express her joy and gratitude to God for the miracle, as she advised others to believe in God because with God, all things are possible!

LET THERE BE LIGHT!

“In the light of God, darkness has no hiding place.” The voices of the wise men rang out from the altar when the time came to separate the wheat from the chaff. People that had been seated calmly, singing songs and laughing with their neighbours suddenly began falling under the fire of the Holy Spirit, shaking wildly and manifesting. From the far gallery to the altar, those who possessed contrary spirits underwent deliverance.

LISTEN TO THE VOICE OF GOD

Many who had heard the voice of God in the prophetic message given by Prophet T.B. Joshua last Sunday 6th June, 2010 concerning the opening match of the FIFA World Cup 2010 watched the match between South Africa and Mexico. The prophet explained that he was unable to change destiny but only reveal what God says about a situation and then offer advice. As the congregation listened to the prophecy in the service, they were reminded to always listen to the voice of God. As the service drew to a close, prophetic revelations kept coming – exposing

The prophet then revealed that 80 year old Mr Robson Abel was not a wizard but had been suffering from a mental disorder for the past seven years. To confirm the prophet’s words, the accused man in question remained expressionless and blank as he was vindicated of the accusation of being a wizard and even tried to kneel down together with his son-in-law as the latter asked his father-in-law for forgiveness. His daughter, Mercy, nodding her head confirmed the prophecy, saying that her father did not reason well. Following the prophecy, the family were reconciled as son and daughter begged their father for forgiveness and promised to care for him. They were confident that as the prophecy had exposed the problem, the solution had surely come.

As the service ended, those who left the church and those who switched off their televisions sets – left having seen the name of Jesus working in the Spirit – secured in the knowledge that to His power, nothing is impossible.

Sometimes an opportunity is all that is needed… My diary and how I met TB Joshua.

The following is an account from my diary, Thursday 19th November 2009.

At about 9:00pm on 19th November 2009, after visiting my friend at Ijegun, I was driving to Mile 2 on the Ikotun – Ejigbo road when I suddenly observed that I had a flat tyre, just close to the Synagogue bus-stop, of the ever popular Synagogue Church of all Nations, the church headed by the controversial Prophet TB Joshua.

SYNAGOGUE CHURCH LAGOS

While trying to fix the tyre as quickly as possible so as to get home and observe my rest for the day in preparation for the next day’s job and activities, I observed that a large crowd had gathered at the gate of the church. They were shouting at the top of their voices and hailing the hero of the recently concluded FIFA U17 world cup in Nigeria, Sani Emmanuel and his team mate Ogenyi Onazi. I had previously read an article and also an interview granted by Sani Emmanuel, where he declared that he was an altar boy at the Synagogue, and so I was not completely surprised. As the shouting persisted, I decided to have a close look to know exactly what the crowd was cheering at.

On getting there, I noticed that the two Eaglets were posing with some persons who were gathered inside the beautiful water fountain outside the church entrance, for photograph shots. The crowd’s enthusiasm increased when the much sought after and highly criticized Prophet TB Joshua joined the gathering in the photo shots. On seeing the large crowd that was on the increase as the each second went by, the Prophet invited everyone of the crowd to come into the church premises and have an opportunity to see the boys live and direct.

Once inside the auditorium, the crowd continued to build up, as expectations grew. TB Joshua started interacting with the crowd and sampling the opinions of individuals concerning the performance of Sani Emmanuel and Ogenyi Onazi in the competition. Those who stood up to speak were full of praises for the duo for their contribution to the success of the team. They also prayed for both of them to get the nod of top European football clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea Fc, Arsenal Fc, etal, and get signed into their team.

Then came the moment that all were waiting patiently for; Sani Emmanuel and Ogenyi Onazi walked into the auditorium to join the ecstatic crowd. Dressed in the official playing kits of the National football teams of Nigeria, they both thanked the crowd for their support and prayers during the tournament, and asked for more prayers as they believe that there are still more hurdles to cross in the quest for the peak of their careers.

After the speech and greetings by the duo, Prophet TB Joshua thanked the crowd for their support and ordered that they all be provided with refreshment before they would leave the premises. Cold drinks were immediately served to each person in the auditorium. Just as we were all beginning to thank Prophet TB Joshua for his kind gestures, he dropped what was to be the biggest surprise of the day; announcing that every member of the crowd would get the sum of N500 before leaving the premises. The crowd went wild on hearing this and showered praises and prayers on the Prophet.

I went home with my N500, and the drink that I had. It was nice to have an opportunity to meet the duo just after they awed the world. And it was good to meet Prophet TB Joshua for the first time. I know that the money might not be a big deal for me, but I considered the people in the crowd, who perhaps had no idea where their next meal would come from, having the opportunity to get the sum of N500 just because they were fortunate enough to be there at the time.

GHANA FIFA WORLD CUP VICTORY: TB JOSHUA DID NOT GLORIFY HIMSELF

“Is it Africa? Is it Africa? It is!” These were the words that came from the commentator’s mouth in the dying seconds of that historical game – it was a moment which will be forever etched in the hearts of all those that watched the match. Friday 16thOctober, 2009 was a special day for all Africans who tuned in to watch the live World Cup Match – Ghana’s Black Satellite’s versus Brazil. Ghana became the first African team to win the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Cairo, Egypt. It was indeed Africa! With celebrations underway in Ghana and other nations of Africa, a much publicised issue seemed to overtake and almost overshadow the African victory. Rather than news media focusing on the African victory, TB Joshua became the focus of their attention.

TB Joshua had apparently spoken to Coach Sellas Tetteh before and during the match and with his prophetic insight guided the Black Satellite’s to a World Cup victory through telephone conversations by specifying which player should take the penalty shoot-outs. Everything was recorded and played during the live service on Emmanuel TV with footage showing TB Joshua speaking with both Coach Tetteh and the Number 10 player whom he advised should play the first penalty. It was a surprise to many. Controversy was sparked.

Many Ghana media criticised TB Joshua of proclaiming he was the reason for the Black Satellite’s victory against Brazil. Angry insults were hurled at the Nigerian Prophet and things really got out of hand with many believing that this event had undermined men of God in Ghana and Ghanaians in general. Knowing that there are always two sides to a story, it was quite surprising to hear little from the accused himself – TB Joshua. Perhaps being a man of God, he chose not to retaliate. Having listened to TB Joshua talk concerning the event, I was humbled by his own account. “The coach called me in the morning of the battle in Egypt and said I should join them in prayers. I considered this as a great honour because there are many great men of God in Ghana that had also been standing in the gap for the team. And I was one of these called to join in prayer for the team. There are great men of God in Ghana. We are all prayer warriors…”

During his Sunday service broadcast live on Emmanuel TV, TB Joshua actually modestly stated that he was the least of the pastors and that he felt humbled that God would use him when there are greater men of God in Ghana. He further stated, “One thing you must know about ministers of God, we cannot change God’s opinion. We can only know God’s will concerning the situation and when we know God’s will concerning the situation, we tell you. When we tell you, it will help you to guard against mistake and error. We are servants; we are just being used”.

Does this sound like someone who is claiming glory for himself? TB Joshua recognises himself as a servant of God. A true man of God boasts not in what he does for God but boasts in what God does in his life and he never exalts himself above God. TB Joshua never for a moment exalted himself but sought and spoke the mind of God – nothing more. As he said, “The secret is that there is no way I will come out and say, we will win. But what I can do, as a man of God, is to seek the mind of God concerning any situation and interpret the mind of God correctly without removing or adding anything. That is the work of prophets – to deliver God’s message as you receive it,”

TB Joshua - We are who, where and what we are by grace. Let no man boast.
TB Joshua - We are who, where and what we are by grace. Let no man boast.

I was quite saddened by the discrimination this Nigerian pastor faced on the basis of his nationality, particularly as he himself believed, in this event, that as men of God, they were all united in one spirit and one body to pray for the nation Ghana and their players – the Black Satellite’s. Being a Ghanaian myself, I have to admit that I was ashamed at undeserved criticism and treatment he received. Why did it matter that God used a Nigerian pastor to guide a Ghanaian victory? Indeed I am sure that if God had used a man of God who happened to be Ghanaian to successfully guide a Nigerian World Cup victory, we would not complain. This would have been a perfect occasion to prove our African unity amongst other nations of the world.

I humbly address my people, Ghanaians – let us stop criticizing one another out of jealousy, ignorance or misunderstandings. I believe that if we embrace pastors, men of God and prophets from other nations in humility, that God will exalt us as a nation to accomplish great feats which extend way beyond football!

Revealing this on Ghana television monitored on Emmanuel TV, Victorious Vision when the team arrived the Accra International Stadium on Saturday, the Ghanaian coach, Sellas Tetteh thanked Prophet T. B. Joshua for assisting the team with prayers to win the cup.

When asked how the man in the Synagogue assisted the Black Satellites, Tetteh said: “Prophet T.B. Joshua assisted us. Joshua was with us on the job and he talked with all the players. He was an inspiration to all of us. He was speaking with us all the time during our stay in Egypt.”

P.M.Sports gathered that before the highly explosive match that saw a Ghanaian player being sent off the pitch in the 36th minute, the Ghanaian coach phoned Joshua to seek his prayers for his team to beat the highly rated Brazilians.

The instructions according to the man in the Synagogue is that the Ghanaian team should defend their goal post very well and limit their attacks on the Brazilians.

“I told the coach that there will be no goals’ in the first and second halves of the match and that they would go for extra time which will also not produce any goal. I told him (Tetteh) that the match will be decided by penalties and that the coach should ensure that Andre Ayew (No. 10) takes the first penalty. “I said if they do that victory is theirs,” Joshua toldP.M.Sports.

The Synagogue pastor told P.M.Sports further that the Ghanaian President, Prof. Attah Mills phoned him to seek success for his team before the match. “I told him (Mills) that his team would win if they follow divine instruction. They did and they won the cup to the glory of Africa.

“You know when they sent off that Ghanaian player from the pitch, the Ghanaian coach phoned me and I t old him not to worry. I asked him to tell his boys to defend well and that no goal will be scored during that half and no goal was scored,” he added.

During the penalties, Joshua it was gathered, phoned coach Tetteh, who did not want Ayew to start the penalty shootout, to allow Ayew take the first penalty to seal victory for the team.

After the victory, the Ghanaian coach was full of praises for Prophet T. B. Joshua for standing by his team. When asked if the Super Eagles of Nigeria will qualify for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa next year, Prophet Joshua has this to say: “Super Eagles will qualify if they play the game as if it all depends on thIS.

SCATTERED! Eleven Children, One Wife, No Home Living Amidst Refuse And Rubbish For Over Three Years

THE STORY ACCORDING TO MR. MICHAEL LATHBRIDGE WHAT CRIME HAS T.B JOSHUA COMMITED KAYODE PETER

From an exclusive interview granted to modernghana.com based on an earlier published article“‘HOW T.B. JOSHUA TOOK MY WIFE’ – Pastor Peter Kayode tells it all” concerning Pastor T. B. Joshua of the Church of All Nations.

side bannerAccording to Mr. Lathbridge, pastor Kayode and his wife joined the church due to fruit of the womb problem. They met with Pastor T. B. Joshua and just like the woman with the issue of blood for 12 years in Mat 9:20-22, and the man by the pool of Bethesda in John 5:1-18, and many others had to wait for their healing, Kayode Peter had to wait for his too, for healing process to begin.

As such, this whole confusion started right after he became a member of the church. At this time, the church had no branch in Ghana, Accra and members had to travel all the way to Nigeria by road to attend church service. It came to light that, members were rubbed on their way is this caused fear among members.

Eventually, the church decided to have a branch here in Ghana to save members the trouble of travelling to Nigeria and somewhere in 1997, after Ghana for Christ Crusade the church was ready for use.

Pastor Kayode was asked to come down and help in the running of the church. Eventually as the membership increased, more hands were sent down to help pastor Kayode. All the people sent down never stayed long because Kayode always had something bad to say about the people brought in and had to return to Nigeria.

He preferred to work with Ghanaians only Who don’t have direct access to TB Joshua to report to him, should he do anything so that, all his dealings were saved right here and by this time he had become the head of the church in Ghana.

According to Mr. Lathbridge, Kayode was eventually asked to return to Nigeria because it was time for his healing but he refused and his wife was sent down to him. Within three months of her stay in Ghana, she became pregnant hence she was stopped from all duties. Birds of the same furthers they said flocks together, the wife whom we all call Sister Lola in pursue of being good she was planning wickedness against her fellow woman and that’s where she tripped over a wooden plank laid over a drainage and fell and suffered miscarriage after Kayode peddled false allegations against Pastor T. B. Joshua. Pastor Kayode made away with money belonging to the church to establish his own and as if this wasn’t enough, gifts of land, money and vehicles including the Audi salon car he uses all belonging to the church, Kayode took everything away with him. Pastor T. B. Joshua never asked him to return anything to the church.

Kayode also mentioned that, pastor T.B Joshua engage the services of military personnel in the running of the church but according to Mr. Lathbridge, the military personnel are all membersthumb.aspx of the church he came forward to suggest the overseer the need to have security at the church. This became important due the high incident of fraudulent activities some of their foreign members suffered when they visit the headquarters from fraudsters who pretended to be workers of the Church collecting their contact details to request for money,. Also, some member came to the church and leave behind dead babies and other nasty activities.

This is all the truth and all that transpired between pastor Kayode and the Church of All Nations.

What was carried in Ghanaian journal issue were all fabricated by Kayode to discredit Pastor T. B. Joshua and Church of All Nations.

Kayode please tell the truth and shame the devil
