For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
The Holy Bible advises us that being godliness has a value for all things, that is; spiritual exercise is valuable in every way, because it promises life both for the present and for the future. We ought to struggle and work hard for the Lord because we have placed our hope in the living Most High God, who is the Savior of all and especially of those who believe him. Anyone who wants to work for the Lord, Will receive much more in this present age and he will receive a hundred times more, that is; sisters, mothers, brothers children and fields and he will receive eternal life. Godliness with contentment is great gain. Flee from all this ungodly things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of faith, righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who saves Christ in this way is pleasing Almighty God.
Live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
