THROW OFF EVERYTHING THAT HINDERS Week 16 Devotion

Hebrews 12:1 – “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us…”
Do you want to run your race with God but there are things that are hindering your progress or forward movement? Throw it off!!! Ask Blind Bartimaeus in the book of Mark 10:46-52 and he will tell you that throwing off every hindrance and embracing Jesus Christ was the best thing he ever did in life. He cast aside his old self, sinful nature and self-righteousness and embraced Jesus Christ; he was transformed from Blind Bartimaeus to Bartimaeus with perfect vision. He discovered his real value – the real him, the prosperous him, the successful him, the healthy him; the way that God saw him. Sin or bad habits is the greatest hindrance to a person’s spiritual progress. Unless you conquer your hindrance, you cannot make any progress in life. To conquer your hindrance, you must admit that you are guilty, acknowledge your sin and trust in Christ’s sacrifice. By doing this, it will make you clean and whole within. Make a heart decision and throw off every hindrance today and live in the promise of victory as you run with perseverance the race marked out for you.
Prayer Point: Lord, give me the grace to throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles in Jesus’ name.

    Trusting Our Savior

    Psalm 37:3
Trust in the Lord and do good dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture:

It is good to trust our Savior and do good, because he is good and enjoy his company everywhere you are during your life time. When you trust him you will not be afraid because he is our shelter in the time of storm, you will be strong and secure, you will be protected by his constant love and you will never put to shame. The wonderful and beautiful Living Word of God is good for our life and it is the bread of life, If you let this Living Word gets into your blood, it will change your behavior. Do not lean on your understanding, trust the Lord with all your heart without doubting and wavering.
Shadreck Meshack and Abednego trusted the Lord and they refused to obey the King’s Nebuchadnezzar’s command and they were thrown into the blazing furnace. Almighty God sent his angel and rescued these three man. What he did to these three man he can also do it you. Be glad and rejoice because he is our Savior
